Experiencia fantástica: A truly exceptional practice. As a new patient, I received a surprising and delightful warm greeting from the staff and Dr. Tillis himself. I was assisted in going through the iPad check-in to make it easier. The office is impeccable and the X-ray equipment is digital. It's a friendly, very personal experience with no reason at all for anxiety that often accompanies seeing the dentist.

Experiencia negativa: I went almost 3 times on this dentist and today as emergency they start reading the policy and force me to sign as they don’t take responsibility if the job is cheap on them side. They push me to accept implants as they looking to get more money but i didn’t accept. They come to me and saying your insurance is a co-pay and you have to pay almost 9000 dollars out of pocket even insurance cover around 2000 dollars. I tell them very clearly my insurance is not a co-pay and i don’t need to pay whatever you asking for. Maybe you want a 1 million dollar but i can’t give to you. The doctor start getting nervous he left me on the chair and he comes again to explain the same story. On the end he couldn’t treat me on my emergency situation on my broken tooth because he wants what he wants to be, not what is fair and help patients. By the way this office wants to be reach on 24 hours and make you to pay 90% of them wishes dreams even the insurance pay them. So i get out without treatment and very offended in the way how they take care on the patients. By the way my insurance is union for hospital and is a good insurance on NY and they cover 100% even implants or bridges, but this office wants to reap off clients and they thinks the clients are stupid and they can do whatever they wants. I’m leaving 1 stars for this office even they deserve 0 but the 0 stars is not existing on review. I recommend anyone to not go in this office, they are the worse of the worse in NYC

Experiencia negativa: The people there are nice but the do not respect your appointment time. I found this place through my provider and decided to go because it is close to home. After I book my first appointment I was called about 5 times by a gentleman trying to get me to go earlier. I said I would go at my scheduled time. I ignored the calls as I thought they are just trying to be nice. At the dentist consultation it seemed like I was attended by pushy salesman. I was recommended 5 crowns ? Still I gave them the benefit of the doubt because maybe I do need them? Today they cancelled my appointment and after I told them I cannot make the time the doctor could make it they blame it on me for “missing” my appointment. The next available time is two months? I believe they knew since the time I booked the appointment that that day was not going to work for them because they were calling me more than 10 times trying to get me to reschedule. No I do not recommend this place.

The hygienist was wonderful this afternoon and checked in throughout the entire process. I also got a very good consult with Dr. Dimitri and a good oral surgeon recommendation to help correct a long term issue I’ve had. Thank you all again for a great experience!

Experiencia fantástica: I love this place! ❤️ I had a really great experience here! I came in for a routine cleaning, and honestly, it was one of the easiest dental visits I’ve ever had. The staff was super friendly from the moment I walked in, and everything felt clean and well organized. The hygienist Amy was gentle but thorough, and actually took the time to explain what she was doing and gave me helpful tips. I also recommend Dr. Dmitriy for other dental works. He is very professional and honest, doesn’t push you into unnecessary treatments or selling expensive services, which is very rare to find in NY, where everything feels money driven.

Experiencia negativa: I had a disappointing experience with Invisalign at this office. I had to go through the process twice, and even after the second round my teeth still weren’t where I wanted them to be. After the second time, I was only given one set of trays even though I paid for four. I contacted the office about it and never heard back. My wife also had Invisalign done here and her results weren’t satisfactory either. The dentist recommended that two of my teeth be chipped during the Invisalign process. When I went to a different dental office to redo the treatment, they told me that wasn’t necessary, which raised concerns for me. My wife also had a cavity filled here and it wasn’t done properly. She had to go somewhere else to get it fixed. We ended up going to another office to continue treatment. To be fair, the cleanings here were good and we had no issues with that. Overall, I wouldn’t recommend this place for Invisalign or other dental work based on our experience.

Experiencia negativa: When I called to make an appointment, I was very clear that I was looking to have teeth extracted because I have a referral from an endodontist. That is why I was only offered an appointment on Wednesday and no other day of the week. I met a dentist named Sam, but when he realized that it was not a major procedure involving bone grafts or implants — since I am a cash patient and I go overseas for expensive treatments — he became dismissive (which was proven true the next day). He said someone would call me the following day to provide the details. I paid the consultation fee but was not provided with a receipt, although I took photos while seated in the dentist’s chair and more. I had to call to follow up about the details, and a manager called me back. After I agreed to pay the cost of the extraction, she said she needed to check with the doctor. When she got back to me, she informed me that I require a surgeon and merely provided a phone number for another dentist to contact, as though they had not been aware from the outset that the appointment was scheduled specifically for this reason. I had already provided the tooth numbers requiring extraction and clearly stated that I have a referral.

Dr. Berkovich and the team were super helpful and clear throughout the whole process when it came to cleanings, root canals, crowns and fillings and they conducted themselves with great professionalism! I wanna give a special shoutout to the dental assistant Danielle for being especially kind and caring every time I visited! I have been very afraid and anxious when it comes to most dental offices I have been to but her presence and friendly demeanor calmed my nerves a lot and really made the overall experience way more pleasant! Definitely the best dental assistant I have ever met for that alone. tl;dr Would definitely recommend this location!

Experiencia positiva: The cleaning was very thorough. Dr Tillis took his time with me and explained how my crowding and grinding habits affect my teeth. The cleaning and imaging took around 45 min. Knocking off 1 star because when I arrived there was nobody at the front desk. I waited 15 minutes, even saying “hello?” loudly hoping to get someone’s attention, because I heard footsteps and tools being used. Someone finally walked out, the manager I believe, and said “sorry we were in the middle of lunch.” I totally understand that, but I feel like in du h a small office space, with cameras everywhere, I don’t doubt they were able to hear me. Even an acknowledgement when I came in would have been nice and appreciated. She did apologize at the end of my visit as well, but I just feel like it was a bizzare first impression. I did enjoy looking at images of penguins and arctic animals while royalty free music was playing in the background during my cleaning.

Experiencia negativa: I had a very disappointing experience during my recent cleaning at this clinic. The cleaning was extremely rough - my gums were bleeding during and after the appointment, and they’re still sore even a day later. I’ve never had this happen before, and I’ve had regular cleanings every six months for many years (in Israel, Scotland, and Manhattan). The dentist also mentioned several issues that no other doctor has ever found, which makes me question the accuracy and honesty of the consultation. I’ve asked for a list of procedure codes they submitted. Please be cautious and verify everything before treatment. I would not recommend this place based on my experience!

However, I was disappointed by the lack of transparency around fees. Issue: - Only after my cleaning did I learn the clinic was out-of-network for my insurance, resulting in an unexpected $79 copay - No one mentioned this during booking, check-in, or pre-treatment - When I called afterward, the front desk and manager only said "Sorry" without offering solutions To the clinic: Please inform patients upfront about: 1) Your network status with their insurance 2) Any expected out-of-pocket costs This would prevent surprises and show respect for patients' financial planning. To future patients: The care is good, but ALWAYS ask beforehand: "Is this in-network for my plan?" "What will my out-of-pocket cost be?" I hope the office improves its communication - they have great potential if they fix this issue.

The hygienist “Katya” Was such a sweetheart and did an amazing job cleaning my teeth. On the way out I met with “Umida” who made sure I was taken care of. She Made sure my insurance was Good. Explained to me about the work I needed done, and what my insurance would cover and not cover. Made me extremely comfortable and set me up with dates and times to come back to get my work done, and check up dates to follow. Thanks to the staff here who made me even more comfortable. Experiencia fantástica: I was panicked because I was 2 days into a 2 week stay to help family in nyc and I’m from Seattle and my front tooth veneer popped off. I couldn’t even call my dentist and I wasn’t sure where to go. From googling and a few calls I ended up at dntl, and I’m 100% happy with my choice. Dntl was able to fit me in day of and were able to clean, exam, and re-bond my veneer in under 2 hours. Front desk was prompt and friendly. The hygienist (forgot name since I was still a bit anxious) was lovely. She did a good job cleaning, appraised what the dr would likely be dealing with and reassured me. I saw Dr. David, who was able to explain what he saw, what was good, bad, and my options that day and going forward. I ultimately opted to have him rebond my original veneer (since it was vacation and I’m not in a hurry to redo everything), and came away with some tips for finding someone to do revisions should I choose to do so. Several days later I’m noticing how much smoother the back of my tooth feels than before( even comparing the other veneer). Given how the first tooth went I feel like it’s much better bonded and still looks the same. Thanks Dr. David and team for so quickly fixing my issue, making me feel secure, and explaining so well what I might like to do going forward!!

Experiencia fantástica: DNTL Studio continues to impress! Visited the office for a permanent bridge & decided to take advantage of their whitening special- running for the month of February. I didn’t think it was possible but let me tell you they had me feeling like a princess in that dentist chair!!! Dr. Tilis was excellent! Gives you his undivided attention when speaking with you…not distracted-unlike many dentists I’ve visited. I never felt rushed or dismissed the entire visit. His assistant David, was just as accommodating. Extremely friendly, and helped me stay informed, comfortable and relaxed the entire visit. I’m actually looking forward to my follow-up visit in 2 weeks. What a positive, non- traumatizing experience! If you’re done with mediocre dentistry and ready for a new perspective, ,you have to give them a try. You won’t regret it. P.S. Both gentlemen were very meticulous…I don’t know about you but I love that trait especially when it involves a permanent bridge. They both worked diligently until my temporary fit like a glove. To be honest, I was hesitant to write a review at all because I want to keep this hidden gem all to myself. Here’s to positive experiences at the dentist office!!!!

Experiencia fantástica: I've been to a few dental offices in New York City and other places, and this facility is magnificent. They are kind and patient and extremely professional. The office is clean and well kept and has a calm demeanor. They accept most PPO dental plans. I've had an x-ray and eval visit, a cleaning visit, and a visit for 2 fillings all in the last week because I want to stay on top of my dental health, and I had the time. I only paid a $100 deductible, which was for the fillings, and the next 2 fillings will be zero out of pocket for me. They have excellent availability, and the office usually doesn't have many other patients during your visit. For someone with anxiety and who has self-image issues, this office is amazing. I'm glad I found it, and it turned out to work for me. Update 1/18/2025 Had another great dentist visit here. Im self consious with my dental health but seeing this dentist gives me some confidence back because his expertise(my dentist is Sam Tilis) is amazing.

Then on to x-rays, where it was easy and breezy with the lovely technician. I then met Dr. Dmitriy and was very impressed with his expertise, his listening to my concerns, and being open to my questions about alternative procedures concerning my dental situation. He was one with whom I felt free and comfortable to speak with. To top off a very positive experience, I consulted with Irenka, the Operation Manager who offered multiple options for a payment plan. She took her time to explain the different offerings and I ended up with a comfortable financial monthly payment plan. I am so very happy to have discovered this Dental establishment. On my second visit I had extensive work done. Aside from being super comfortable, by experience I know that it would have taken multi-visits had I been to another dental group. Recovery took about 2 weeks and my follow-up to remove stitches was a breeze. I feel very secure with this dental studio. I highly recommend them. By the way, they strive to make your scheduled appointment time accurate....and they succeed.

I was finally able to schedule one online from their website, received text confirmations, and when I showed up the doors were locked and AGAIN, no one would answer the phone. It's been 5 days, about 5 phone calls, 3 voice messages, multiple texts, and the missed appointment and not a single person has bothered to reach out to me about the fact that the office WASN'T THERE for my scheduled appointment. Don't bother calling or scheduling here, they have the worst customer service I've ever encountered.
