Experiencia fantástica: Over Christmas, two of my four wisdom teeth began coming in and I was experiencing significant pain. I visited my dentist and had a panoramic X-ray completed. They provided me with a list of highly regarded oral surgeons, and after reviewing it, I chose Dr. Tye. Within three days, I had an appointment with Dr. Tye, and my full four-tooth extraction was scheduled for the following day. I had concerns about my upper wisdom teeth being close to my sinus cavity and my lower teeth being near the inferior alveolar nerve (the nerve that controls the lip and chin). Dr. Tye took the time to listen carefully to my concerns, explain his thought process, and clearly outline the extraction plan. I have a needle phobia and opted for IV anesthesia. Dr. Tye placed the IV on the first attempt and took excellent care of me throughout the procedure. Every member of his staff, from the front office to the assistants and billing team treated me with compassion, professionalism, and respect. Thank you to everyone for making what could have been a stressful experience so smooth and easy.

Experiencia fantástica: June 9, 2025 Dr. Tye has helped me a lot, over many years, by replacing several of my teeth with dental implants. Every dental experience I’ve had with Dr. Tye has been superbly professional and top notch! The literature that is given before surgery talks about how many negative outcomes a person could have. I have never experienced any of these outcomes. Yes, my cheek was swollen for a day or two, but that is all. Dr. Tye and his team are very easy to work with and follow up is excellent. So, in my opinion, Dr. Tye is an excellent choice for all things dental, especially dental implants.

One wisdom teeth was pulled in 2021 by another oral surgeon in San Antonio at ideal dental and had lots of pain, took almost 3 weeks to recover for just one wisdom tooth. Unfortunately my gum covered my implant in 2 days so I needed Dr Tye to remove my gum from my implant. They were able to get me in on the day I called and after an x-ray we found out that part of the screw was still in the implant. They scheduled me for surgery on Thursday and Dr Tye took 30 mins for procedure. The staff was friendly & competent and so far I’m healing swimmingly!

One said she was still bleeding several days later and had to go back in. Dr. Tye put it in on a Friday morning. By Saturday I had no pain and only minimal swelling. No extraneous bleeding. On Monday I'm just fine. I've also had him do several extractions (I'm over 40 and just got my wisdom teeth out). Healing was quick and easy with no issues. I'm also a hugely nervous dental patient due to past issues with dentists. While I'm nervous, he's very reassuring and calming. I don't feel condescended to or belittled because of my bad teeth which helps me feel more willing to go back to him.

I highly recommend Dr. Tye if you have oral surgery needs…you won’t be disappointed…he and his staff are the BEST!

Experiencia negativa: BEWARE OF THIS DENTIST!!! I went to him to have an abscess removed...he talked me into having my tooth pulled (my dentist said that was absolutely NOT necessary). Dr. Tye said the tooth would need to be pulled in a couple years if I only had the abscess removed (again my dentist said that wasn't so). After the tooth was pulled it bled into my sinuses, then I had severe dry socket with bone shedding off. I ended up later having severe migrains then 2 sinus surgeries with a weird infection, then my body started breaking down with autoimmune disease and other health problems. Dr. Tye has effectively taken years off my life just because pulling a tooth is easier than removing an abscess. Went from very healthy to being 52 and disabled in a 5 year time frame. All my health problems can be traced back to him pulling a tooth that didn't need to be pulled. Update after their response...my name at the time was Nancy Helms and I had to follow-up a few times because of the complications. And I've had a couple abscesses removed from other teeth which never returned and the teeth only needed root canals, one only needed the abscess removed. I spoke to your office a few days ago and they do have records of me and the complications. They told me Dr. Tye would call me but he never did...I can only assume he didn't because he knows what I said is true. I will have to get the rest of my upper teeth pulled soon because of the shifting and receding from what's happened with him pulling that one tooth.

I had a very difficult procedure done today with removing teeth and a cemented on bridge and new dental implant work, he worked so diligently and perfectly to have me walk out within 2 hours with a new fantastic smile. I feel great and no longer embarrassed to smile. I can’t thank you enough Dr. Tye and also his caring attentive staff!

Experiencia fantástica: If you need implants pain free this is the place ,Dr Tye is the Nice's doctor you can meet, He knows his job and makes the implants pain free, my wife usually das not like to go to dentist and specialty to have implants,but Dr Tye make it so easy to have implants,that she come for second time to do 2 more implants, I highly recommend this place ,if you need implants this the place, Dr Tye will make sure you will have pain free implants. .
