Experiencia negativa: Be very careful with this clinic. A few months ago, I called and specifically asked if they accept Delta Dental insurance. They told me yes. But once I arrived, they suddenly said they “don’t take it” and instead offered me a so-called discount — quoting $10,500 for two crowns, reduced to $5,600. Because I trusted them, I assumed crowns were just that expensive and that insurance wouldn’t cover anything. Later I found out my insurance does cover crowns, and this clinic simply chose not to use it. They also performed both crowns without any root canal and charged an extremely high price. Afterwards, a different dentist took X-rays and clearly showed that one of the crowns wasn’t sealed properly, leaving part of my original tooth exposed. This can cause serious issues over time if not corrected. The second dentist advised me to go back and have them fix it — but I honestly would not return. In my experience, this clinic overcharges, misleads patients, and provides poor-quality work. I would not recommend them to anyone.

Experiencia negativa: Usually I read reviews before going somewhere. This time I did not and I deeply regret it. While everything seems ok at first, staff was friendly, environment was clean; the way I felt slowly changed. After the exam and cleaning they made me feel like my mouth and teeth were on the verge of a health crisis. The cleaning was the most painful cleaning I have ever had! I have been going to the dentist my entire life so I know how it should feel. I was told I needed fillings because I had so many cavities. My last dentist a year ago did 2 fillings and told me that my teeth were good. I had no other issues. My hygiene practices are not perfect but they are good. What they were telling me so far reached that I was baffled. The dr even said I need to get a sleep guard bcs I grind my teeth. Lies! I know it’s a lie bcs they told my husband the same thing the day before on his visit. The dr even started to be annoyed and kinda upset when I chose not to get her recommendations. I play nice and remain polite because I am not confrontational but the more I think about my experience is the more upset I get. I will never return to that place.

When I accidentally chipped a tooth they were able to see me within the hour for an emergency filling, and for my regular visits I'm always seen very promptly. Experiencia negativa: Please do not go to this business. I’ve never left a routine cleaning with my teeth in such pain. They tried to tell me I needed 8 fillings and tried to get me to get them that same day because my “decay was really bad”, but when I got a second opinion from another dentist office, they said I didn’t have a single cavity. Additionally, the receptionist was rude and unhelpful. I asked for a bill to be sent in the mail (which I was overcharged on btw), and she said she’d do it but nothing ever came. I had to drive there again to make sure my bill got paid since I was not going back for another appointment. I also called and asked for my X-rays to be emailed to me and was told it would take two weeks to get them. It’s one email and it’s my medical records!! When I told the receptionist this she raised her voice at me saying she was busy and they have patients, as if part of her job isn’t also sending emails and helping people over the phone. She then proceeded to hang up on me. Luckily, after having that argument, she did send me the X-rays. I guess that’s why this review is 1 star instead of 0. Please do not waste your time and money with these scammers.

Experiencia negativa: My elderly aunt visited Rock Creek Dental in December 2024 for a tooth extraction (cracked lower molar and suspected infection). Bottom line upfront - the dentist billed my aunt's insurance company for work that was not performed. They charged my aunt for services WITHOUT providing her an explanation of what her dental insurance covered and their billing office told her "do not call us again" when my aunt was calling them to obtain a detailed copy of what work was done and what was charged. This was her first (and will be her last) visit to this dental office. No issues with making an appointment, and was promptly seen. The dentist suggested additional work (four teeth that she said required fillings) after her initial exam and x-rays. My aunt declined the additional work and stated that she only wanted the one tooth pulled. The dentist did that work, wrote a prescription for antibiotics, and discharged my aunt (after charging her credit card without explaining what her provider (Delta Dental) did or did not cover for this visit. A month later, Delta Dental sent my aunt an Explanation of Benefits for the visit. This EoB showed billing (that they paid) for an exam and four fillings and there was no mention of the extraction. We are working with Delta Dental, the Teamsters (who provide benefit), and I've opened a formal complaint against this office with the county.

Experiencia negativa: This review is from an experience 5 years ago, but it's stuck with me and still upsets me. I had a regular dentist, but I thought I would try this dentist out since they were nearby. I had just had X-rays at my previous dentist the 6 months before. I thought I would have my teeth cleaned and see how they treated me, if I had a good experience I'd transfer my X-ray and records. Hygienist immediately made me uncomfortable with just her questions, very impersonable, (I felt like a cog in her checklist) and I was already feeling like I didn't want to return. She says she'll take x-rays, I say no I just had them with my previous dentist, I'll pass and have them taken the next time. I have a very strong sense of consent and being able to decline and have control over my care. The language and approach of the dentist to get me to have x-rays made me so uncomfortable, it was coercive and disrespectful, that I knew I would not be returning so really did not want to get x-rays done here. The dentist was unwilling to clean my teeth if I declined the x-rays. I got up and left before they cleaned my teeth. Will never return. Even writing this review gets me upsets.

Experiencia negativa: Edit to add: I recently saw a new dentist fresh X-rays multiple types of X-rays. One of the treatment plans with Dr.G was a root canal on my back tooth. I never got around to it because we couldn’t afford it, it never got worse. The X-rays showed NO cavities on that back tooth and NO ROOT CANAL NEEDED!! I only need 4 fillings. Glad I ended up not being able to afford a root canal at the time I never write reviews but as the months and years past and I am now working with another dentist I cannot get the sour taste out of my mouth regarding my experience here at Rock Creek Dental Center. Back in 2021, I came in due to dental pain in the lower back part of my mouth. I initially chose this dentist because of the location- only 5 minutes from my apartment! We took X-ray, did a cleaning, and found other areas to address outside of my initial pain. The dentist explained what she saw, and said I needed work NOW. In her words if i did not do work TODAY I would "lose my front teeth in the next few months" Naturally, that terrified me but i could not afford to drop 8k in one day so this led to me asking which teeth were the priority. In her opinion, we needed to take care of my front teeth(not the tooth that was in pain) FIRST. I broke it up into 1-2 teeth bi-weekly to get the work done but also plan financially. While the work appears to be good work, I felt shamed by the dentist regarding the state of my oral health. While she was confident in her treatment plan, the delivery of the message was off putting, shaming, and fear-mongering rather than compassionate, empathetic, and stating facts. In addition, the pricing was changed twice when I was quoted and they did not use insurance. According to the dentist, "dental insurance is a scam because it does not cover anything outside of cleanings" being young and naive at this point in my life, I listened. I now know that is NOT the case as my dental insurance covers 50-80% of all procedures. Her work was good. Everything else was lack luster. Not to mention they wanted me to give them a five star review while I was still in the building and we did not even finish the work at this point. They took my phone, opened google to their page, and told me to write them 5 stars without me asking them. While I was confident in our plan and her work everything else was a tough pill to swallow.

My situation is complicated. Other dentist didn't want to assume the risk associated with the treatment. Thanks to this team, I may still have my teeth. We are still in the recovery stages. But there appears to be a light at the end of the tunnel.

Prior to my engagement with Dr Gaznavi's practice, I had received 34 years of military dental care. During my military career, I had experienced some very traumatic dental events. I am not an easy dental patient. I became a fearful dental patient. From the first day when I entered Dr Gaznavi's clinic with my stack of dental records detailing my previous care, Dr Gaznavi and her entire staff have been extraordinarily sensitive to my pain and anxiety. They are kind and patient. I am always allowed to signal any discomfort, and permitted to have a short interruption of the procedure or additional lidocaine is administered, if indicated. Dr Gaznavi's entire staff is exceptional. I receive a detailed explanation of my current dental assessment, recommended treatment, and overall long term plan. I also receive a complete explanation of cost and anticipated insurance coverage. I have even received a credit, if insurance coverage was greater than anticipated, and personal phone calls from Dr Gaznavi's staff offering an explanation of that credit! I am so thankful for this dental practice. Dr Gaznavi and her associates/staff provide the highest level of care, always answer questions, and respond to phone calls!! I offer my highest recommendation, especially for fearful, and a bit complicated dental patients, such as myself.

She literally walked out on me when I asked her to explain more.. she kind of got aggressive and hyper and told her assistant who was standing next to her to explain the problem to me She is like a ROBOT. I tried to book an appointment as a new patient and had a very bad impression/interaction with them right off the bat. They were being very impatient and does not listen carefully. I have been very polite and read the my insurance ID multiple times, and they keep getting it wrong. Not only that, they became frustrated and hang up on me. When I call back, they just told me that they cant understand and tell me to bring the insurance card and hang up on me without waiting for me to reply. Experiencia negativa: This place is more like a dental dealership. Should’ve known better when I can get a next day appointment. I saw very good google reviews and thought I give this place a try. I made an appointment for a check up and teeth cleaning. There were no other clients except for me. I was asked multiple times about how I found them. Spend about 10 mins taking X-rays and then the dentist started her sales pitch. Once done she left me with her assistant which spend maybe 5-10mins max cleaning my teeth. This was the fastest I had my teeth cleaned and saw 0 results. Once I was done, they try to sell me deep clean, $4k of dental work, and some other stuff that was mentioned and not priced out. The lady at the front desk refuse to give me an invoice/summary for the work that needs to be done. While she was selling me unnecessary repair, I had to pick up a important call from work. I was on the phone with my colleague for no more than 1 minute (went back to my call log to check) she got upset and started saying things. I had to apologize to calm her down. This is by far the worst dental office I’ve been to. Do yourself a favor, avoid this place. Save your time, money, and the nonsense.

The doctor said that a caveman hurt me with her, she pulled her lips so much that she inflated them, and the work she did was horrible, she still has pain and Her previous dentist never caused her any pain by doing the same procedure, please, if you are not a professional and you are not going to be careful, do not do this type of work, you are not good for the profession of dentist. Experiencia negativa: This is all my perspective. It was my 1st appointment today 11/21/22 at 5:00PM and I arrived 11 minutes late. The Dental Assistant was courteous and requested my ID and insurance card. As soon as she explained to me the paper work I have to fill out. Another lady behind the counter without introducing herself, started talking to me about my insurance situation with technical terminology that I did not understand. (I'm glad there was nobody else in the dental office, the situation got tense!) the truth: I was ashamed for being late. I ask this lady "to explain to me later, because I did not understand what she was telling me". The Dental Assistant didn't seem happy with her intervention and told "the billing lady" that "she wanted to take me in, to do the x-rays and that I was there for my cleaning". I expressed out loud that her attitude wasn't welcoming at all. The "billing lady" got defensive, and started saying that "it was my problem if I did not understand, that I was welcome to go if I wanted to". I sat down. I was determined to get my cleaning done but it took me long to fill out my paperwork. Another woman behind the front desk (I assumed "the dentist") appeared and asked me to please hurry up because I was late 15 min (I correct her: 11!) then I got defensive, and told them that I could come another day, that It was my fault for being late and that I assumed they all wanted to go home after a long day. I even told them that I could come next year because of my insurance situation! From "the dentist" perspective I was the one mistreating her team, she heard everything from her office and she said literally "we are here to be friends, not enemies". I apologized, got closer to the rude "billing lady" and told her: "your tone of voice needs to be like the phone calls you were making earlier. I'm sorry I'm someone to tell you to change your tone of voice and treat people better" and I left. If you are reading this, thank you for taking the time. Go there EARLIER if it's your first appointment and happens to be the last one of the day otherwise, you'll be treated rude by the "billing lady" and rushed by "the dentist".

Received very nasty attitude from a receptionist/office manager (she told me her name was Mary) who started going in circles and preaching me about my insurance (told me that what my insurance tells me it’s not true…?!?!?) at that time and over 10 minutes later I asked to speak with someone else so I could make an appointment and she - Mary told me “good luck” and to find someone else.I was simply looking to make an appointment with the dentist in my network but instead received extremely rude and unprofessional service.

She asked for my phone (during covid) and logged in. At the time, i felt a little happier. She made it sound like she was doing me a favor by completing my dental work. However, after today and reading some reviews, I understand what that office is all about which is shaming and money. I had an awful experience with the the doctor. Instead of talking to me as an adult about my dental care, she spoke to me in an extremely condescending tone. She told me she has been doing this work for 20+ years therefore, what I said about my dental care didn’t really matter. She basically shamed me instead of educating me like a true professional. Her dental assistant even noticed and tried to actually talk to me like an adult after the doctor left. Also, I was questioned as to why I never returned to fill my cavities. However, when I left 6 months ago, the doc made it seem like I didn’t have any others. When I questioned this, the story quickly changes mentioning that they are “new” cavities. More dental recommendations were given to me about my “damaged” teeth. The secretary took it upon herself to talk about all the work I need in front of other clients. I felt extremely uncomfortable. I asked for a copy of my plan and the pricing. She refused to give it to me maybe because the pricing was insanely high. I will not be returning. I DO NOT RECOMMEND THIS PLACE. I recommend you check out the Yelp reviews as well.

Experiencia negativa: Had an appointment in Feb/Mar 2018 using the coupon from "Clipper Magazine" which include X-Ray, Cleaning and Check-Up. The office was large spacious and well maintained. I was impressed that the dentist actually performed the cleaning. They have a NASCAR assortment of 3rd Party services they offer, but I was not offered, which was not l nice not trying to upsell me on everything available. I was asked to upgrade from traditional bitewing X-Rays to digital X-Rays to see more of my roots, but I declined. I was considering this for next year and also a custom anti-teeth grinding device. I thought Dr Gaznavi was professional and good "bed side manner" WHY THE LOW RATING = THE RECEPTIONIST (MARY). When I called for my follow-up in Oct/Nov 2018 the receptionist gave me a lecture on why I HAD TO HAVE the digital X-Rays at an increased cost. This bothered me for 2 reasons (1) she belittled me treating me like a child, VERY UNPROFESSIONAL(2) had X-Rays done 6 months ago, so this should not have been offered until my 1 year anniversary appt. Based on this interaction, I will NEVER GO BACK (and this was before COVID-19) as long as the receptionist, Mary, is talking to patients. If her goal was to increase profit, she lost a patient permanently of someone who would have been there 2x a year.

I’m so excited about my new smile and don’t think I’d be as passionate about dental health and care at home if I felt that my dreams were out of reach. I’m so happy with my gorgeous teeth!!! I’ve told all my friends and family, and even strangers, about Dr. Gaznavi and her wonderful staff. Her assistant is also very knowledgeable and honest, which I absolutely appreciate. She doesn’t just tell me what I want to hear. She’s honest and reassured me that she has my best interest in mind. They are truly a gift to the locals here, a true gem! I literally couldn’t stop smiling and staring at myself in the mirror days after I got my new and improved grin!

Absolute scumbag hive of an office, they upsell unneeded work at every turn (a ton of it not covered by insurance, ALWAYS check and double check with your provider) Dr.Gaznavi has scammed many who go in thinking their insurance covers, and when her office is called all the front desk does is snicker and sneer. Avoid at all costs.

Experiencia negativa: I wouldn't go here. The entire staff are professional sales people. They also wouldn't release a printout of my treatment plan and sent me a blurry copy of my x-rays. I didn't event want the X-ray. I went in for a cleaning and they bamboozled me into getting an x-ray.

Experiencia negativa: Dr. Gaznavi's receptionist threatened to call the police on me when I was inquiring about work I had done. She got extremely defensive and said I was harassing her, as I quietly stood there surprised I was being talked to like that when I was simply asking about my procedures. Dr. Gaznazi herself then brushed off the threats and mentioned it was just a long day for them. When she found out I had received a 2nd opinion from a different dentist, she said she does not need my service and that I shouldn't have to search for anyone else because shes the best. Wishing me good luck while walking away, not having answered my questions regarding the procedures she performed. I honestly have never in my life experienced such poor service from a so called professional. I work in hospitality and am besides myself realizing theres nothing that can be done about the way they treated me.
