His dental assistant Moses was equally as wonderful. I have had extensive dental work done over the years and have never found a dentist I loved until now! I’m SO thankful to them for making my dental experience top tier.

Experiencia fantástica: We recently started coming to Tru Dental and it's been a great experience. My kiddo needed 2 fillings and Dr. Swift was so great with him. She was kind, explained everything she was doing, always checking on him during the procedure and making sure he was doing ok. I was so appreciative of her patience and kindness. Afterwards she even sat down on the floor with him to help him pick a prize. I could tell she cares for her patients and does not treat people "like a number". The office makes scheduling easy and treats people well.

Experiencia positiva: EDIT 2026 - There has definitely been some turnover in staff over the years and overall the experience hasn't been as great as it once was. I'd say it's become more of your average dental office. ORIGINAL 2023 - The staff is friendly and attentive. The office is well run - I've never had to wait very long for an appointment. In the past I've always disliked going to the dentist because it feels like I'm committing a few hours minimum between the waiting room and the time between xrays, cleaning, and seeing the Dr. The process is much smoother here and I don't feel like a bunch of my time is being wasted.

Experiencia negativa: I believe this dentist is profiting off of unnecessary billing to insurance. I have always had very good dental health, and come back with pretty good cleanings every time. My first visit to this office, I waited nearly 2 hours for my cleaning after X-rays. Eventually someone came in and let me know they had overbooked the day and I would have to come back for my cleaning, and they promised me a free whitening treatment for the inconvenience. This was a new patient special on their website and why I even started seeing this dentist anyway, but I accepted and rescheduled. After coming back for my cleaning, I am told I have NINE cavities after never having a cavity before. The dentist proceeds to tell me the cavities I have look to be from eating gummy candy and not brushing it off- I don’t eat any candy more less gummies. I was handed a treatment plan, and signed. Completed my first round of fillings, very uncomfortable with more than 5 numbing shots. I left soaked in sweat shaking and sick unable to drive from all of the epinephrine in the numbing solution. I came back for the second round of fillings on the other side, similar experience where I am given an excessive amount of numbing and sent out shaking, sweating, sweating, and white as a ghost sick in the parking lot. After my second treatment, with nothing done differently than what was quoted and signed off on the treatment plan, I am suddenly greeted at the desk with a bill much greater than I was quoted. They were adamant and aggressive about that being my total, and I presented my treatment plan and left and had to spend hours resolving this with billing. I went back to my prior dentist and haven’t been back. My hygentist is out on leave, so I called TruDental again Monday afternoon and decided I’d give it another try. I tell the front desk woman I can come Monday or Wednesday, she proceeds to offer me Tuesday morning. When I say Monday or Wednesday again, she got irritated and hastily booked me for Wednesday. I was never told a cancellation policy regarding my appointment booked less than 48 hours in advance. My cat needed surgery the day of my appointment, and her pickup time changed from 4:30 to between 1-3 unexpectedly. When I called at 10 am to let them know and reschedule my 1 pm, they tried to charge me a $45 cancellation fee stating I signed paperwork in JANUARY 2023 consenting to a cancellation policy, I haven’t been to this office in 3 years! Absolutely ridiculous to try to charge me after all of the inconvenience I’ve had with this office and the fact that I waited 2 HOURS in the office to get cancelled on and never even received the free whitening I was promised because of that inconvenience. I ended up paying over $1000 in dental work, for them to have missed that my lip tie was so tight it was separating my gums from my front teeth. I feel like the dentists are trying to upcharge and bill as much as they can, and don’t actually care to fix your dental problems and send you to a specialist if needed since it won’t make THEM money.

I have been to 2 others and just didn’t feel comfortable and both places the first 1/2hr was spent listening to upsale items! This was not the case at TruDental. Staff was very professional and caring. Pricing very reasonable and they offer free second opinions!! I would recommend Tru dental! Happy to say, I have found my new dentist!

I came in as a new patient expecting a routine teeth cleaning, drove all the way from Tempe, and they just took X-rays and told me I was done, asking me TO SCHEDULE THE CLEANING FOR NEXT WEEK. I was shocked—what kind of dentist’s office does that? Eventually, I explained that my work schedule is all over the place, and that day was the only day I could get my teeth cleaned (which is why I chose it). Looking at other reviews now, I understand the "trap" where THEY PUSH DEEP CLEANING for around $1,600. They PRESSURED ME TO SCHEDULE FILLINGS and CONTINUED TO CALL ME REPEATEDLY, even after I expressed my concerns. I also want to note that while PANORAMIC X-RAYS are standard for new patients, CHARGING $215 is EXCESSIVE compared to other dentists. Overall, my experience matched many of the negative reviews I ignored before coming. AVOID coming here—don’t fall for this.

I have lived here for seven years now and decided it was time. Dr. Swift did an excellent job diagnosing and treating a tooth that broke off. I would highly recommend this office.

Experiencia fantástica: Laura at the front desk is one of the reasons for choosing this location (along with Dr. Justin Reynolds, of course - I had done my research). She was caring and compassionate and convinced me to work up the courage to come in (I hate going to the dentist - always have and it has been quite a while since I last had a check up). I knew that if that was the kind of person that greets you at Tru Dental then I’d be in good hands with Dr. Reynolds. Well a few hours later (I was a new patient) I had a root canal and a crown done and barely felt a thing! He did an amazing job along with his assistant (I didn’t catch her name - tell her sorry!)! Very nice place. Bright, clean and inviting. Would highly recommend to those like me who are overwhelmed by all the dentists out there, especially as a new patient. Looking forward to getting back to a better place with my oral health and I know and now personally trust Tru Dental to get me there. Thanks, Dr. Reynolds and team!

Experiencia negativa: Avoid this office. I walked out today because of their aggressive and unnecessary requirement for X-rays. My husband is a dentist, and I managed our practice for 25 years before retiring, so I am very familiar with current standards. The American Dental Association (ADA) no longer recommends a “one-size-fits-all” approach to radiographs. Instead, the ADA guidelines state that X-ray frequency should be based on a patient’s age, oral health, caries risk, clinical signs, history, and symptoms. In my case: I’m 47, have excellent oral health, no clinical signs of decay, very low caries risk, and receive regular cleanings every three months. According to ADA guidelines, patients like me should have bitewing X-rays approximately every 24–36 months. Yet this office insisted I must have them every 6–12 months. That is far outside what is considered evidence-based care, and to me suggests either a lack of knowledge or a push for unnecessary billing. For those reasons, I strongly recommend staying away.

I’ve had so many experiences at other dentists that have been terrible, painful, arduous and just plain left me not wanting to ever go back. I love going now! From the moment you walk in and are greeted, with a friendly smile and a “so good to see you jennifer”, then the quick wait, and when I get pulled back “glad you’re here jennifer, let’s get you back and relaxed”. My dentist is so thorough, and understanding, literally does everything to make sure I’m comfortable (exactly like the rest of the staff). Their workflow is seamless…The only time I’ve been left sitting is while we’re waiting for the numbing to kick in. And then when I leave I always hear “it was so nice to see you today.” It’s also pleasant when your care team recalls the stories you share, and asks about them when you come in, It shows a great attention to detail, and that they love their patients. I’m so glad I found this place!

Experiencia negativa: I was mailed a postcard offering x-rays, a cleaning, and an exam for a total of $59 for new patients. After the MANY x-rays were completed, Gloria, the dental hygienist, began examining my gums and "recommended" a deep cleaning treatment. Dr. Reynolds came to examine my teeth for a total of 5 minutes and stated that he agreed with Gloria's recommendation. Next thing I know, Gloria brings in a "treatment coordinator" named Bailey to discuss the $1600 dental treatment that I would need, and she tells me exactly where to sign. I explain that I am a student and would need to think about this treatment before agreeing to it only 10 minutes after being told that I have early gum disease. She tells me that I can initial next to "decline", but then questions why I have declined, after which I explain again. I am then left alone in the exam room for 20 minutes. Gloria and Bailey come back into the room, now trying to convince me to get the first part of the treatment done in that moment, promising that it would only take 20 minutes. During this conversation, I was backed into a corner multiple times, even after declining time and time again. I was told that my gums would be in severe pain without it, and I witnessed extreme unprofessionalism from Gloria, as she was rolling her eyes throughout the conversation. I never got the basic cleaning that I was promised, but was still forced to pay the $59. After reading other reviews of situations similar to mine, it's clear this place loves to partake in fear-mongering and taking advantage of vulnerable patients, as well as just flat out scamming. I would 1000% not recommend this place to anyone.

I was there from 10 AM TO 12.30.Never got a cleaning but was told all about the dental work I needed. They offered DEEP CLEANING for over $1,600. I brought my x-rays with me. I would not recommend this from to anywhere , It is one big scam.

Experiencia negativa: I am neurotic about my teeth and gum health. This is honestly the BEST dental office I’ve ever been to in my life. Not only did my hygienist take X-rays before, but also AFTER to make sure she got everything. Fantastic! Such great service at every level. From the first call to schedule an appointment ( who was super nice and really seemed like she cared) to every step leading to the conclusion of my visit. I just can’t say enough good things about this office. They really care about their patients. I am a customer for life! Update: have now been a patient for a year. My original hygienist went on maternity leave shortly after the original review and I have not had the pleasure of seeing her again. In the meantime, the new gal is nice. Not as gentle. Not as thorough. I am also being nickel and dimed. When I get an invoice for overages and ask why, I am told it is for ‘consultations’ and ‘color photos’ of my teeth ( which were not medically necessary. I have called the office trying to resolve for the better part of 3 months with no resolve. I now feel like the initial visit was not a foretelling of how things are here are am now looking for a new dentist.

The staff greeted me with warm smiles and a friendly demeanor that set the tone for my appointment. I love how I get a personalized approach with the hygienist and with the dentist providing a care plan tailored for my needs, explaining all the specifics of procedures and options. When I was young, I had this type of specialized care and it's really nice to have found that again. Also, if you are one who might be apprehensive about dental visits, I decided to bring my young boys (4 and 6 years old) for their annual appts and they always feel comfortable with the staff and dentists. Highly recommend Tru Dental for anyone seeking a stress-free dental experience with a personal touch!

I finally forced myself to go, and I couldn't be happier with my experience. Every staff member is extremely friendly and caring. They ensured that I was as comfortable as possible for all procedures. After 2 visits of intense dental work, my smile looks and feels great. I was also very surprised by the cost. I honestly expected it to be higher. I've already started recommending them to my close friends, and I strongly recommend Tru Dental to you too. Experiencia negativa: Before becoming a patient I had high hopes for office with all the good reviews. My first visit was good overall other than seeing a different dentist than I scheduled with. During first visit they told me I had 8 cavities (which one side I wasn't shocked after having gum procedures earlier in year). I was definitely pressured to schedule and pay for filling procedures before leaving. Decided to just pay for side that had surgeries earlier in year to preform first. Went back on scheduled day to get cavities filled. After numbing me and starting to fill cavities the dentist stopped and went to another patient room for a new consult and was gone for extended time. When he finally returned I then needed more numbing as I could feel the drilling. They finished procedures and kept trying to get me to schedule additional side to be done before leaving. Starting next day I knew something was off. Hurt to chew and also developed a large hematoma on face from numbing. Went back to office a couple times and had bite adjusted etc. They told me everything was "fine" and once again insisted on scheduling my other side. I held off and decided to seek second opinion with other dentist office. In mean time office keep calling over and over trying to schedule other cavity repair appt. I explained to numerous staff of my negative experience and I didn't think work was done correctly. They still kept calling until I told them to never contact me again. Fast forward I saw 2 additional offices and was told by both my fillings were done incorrectly and had to have them all completely redone. Within time that had lapsed my tooth severely decayed as the filling had a large gap and was letting debris get in. SO glad I got other opinions and got work done correctly elsewhere.

Experiencia negativa: Went in for an initial visit and cleaning. Spent 2 hours getting images and left without getting a cleaning. When follow up cleaning was scheduled told I need a deep cleaning and pre scripting toothpaste but none of this told to me at initial visit. Rotating of employees is concerning as the lady that did my images was not there anymore and a different dentist reviewed my images the second visit. No other patients in the office so probably not a good sign to begin with. I think they are just looking to charge for add on services. Would not recommend going to True Dental.

Due to other health problems it had been longer than usual since my last cleaning. From the start the desk staff is warm and welcoming. Dr Jasmine Swift is great. She truly cares about her patients. I had a cavity that needed to be filled. The billing department was upfront with any charges that were additional to my insurance. My teeth are shiny and clean thanks to Karley! I’m not one to write reviews. I was compelled to share my fantastic experience here. Thanks Tru Dental!

Experiencia negativa: They were terrible said I had multiple cavities and then when I went to get a second opinion, I was doing just fine. I’ve been received a bill in the mail for services that were told to me were covered through my insurance when I asked before I went through my procedure. Don’t go here. Please just go anywhere else even if you need a quick fix. And then they only responded with generic topics and won’t give a phone number or email to reach out with…… Also when you get a bill from them don’t go to their website to pay it because the link is broken, type in everything but the .com and use their processors actual site. Will never go here again!

Experiencia fantástica: I came to true dental after not seeing a dentist for the last couple years, my last dentist I did not have a good experience, but true dental was completely different. Dr. Swift was absolutely amazing, I got 10 cavities filled and a deep cleaning on one side of my mouth done all in one day. She walked me through every step made me feel comfortable, was consistently asking me if I was OK if I had any pain, she was very accommodating. The rest of the staff from Bailey at the front desk to the dentist assistants, which I believe her name was Rosa. Everybody was wonderful. Will be going here for all my dental needs moving forward!

Experiencia negativa: I wish I could give a negative star rating. My wife and kid went for a cleaning appointment. For my wife, they said that the x-ray was not required when she first met them. When she returned for cleaning, they said x-ray was mandatory though she was not prepared. She had to take the x-ray and pay the charges which was not expected. She was not happy with the way she was treated and returned without cleaning. I would never go there. This is not how you treat people. Saying something and doing something else so people don't have a choice.

Friendly, competent, and thorough are what come to mind. Frankly, I had come to expect less, but Dr. Reynolds truly is committed to providing the best treatment he can. Experiencia fantástica: SUPER professional and courteous and Ruth and Dr. Swift were amazing (and no she’s not a family member or friend lol!). Today I had a 2+ year old crown fall out and they did X-rays to make sure they matched up the crown with how it had originally been. After the X-rays, Dr. Swift let me know of a *possible* problem with that tooth the crown fell off that down the line may (or may not) get worse and lead to a root canal and totally left the process and progress to me. Ultimately, I decided to wait and see how things turn out and be that guy that wishes things either get better or don’t get worse on their own. We’ll see but I know who I’ll be going to if it gets worse. After being there an hour and being TOTALLY taken care of (as the old crown felt a little higher going back in and they grinded it down to be a perfect ten for me), they said I was all done and was ushering me out the exit door. Huh?! It’s a 2-year old crown that fell out…totally happens and with how I keep Hubba Bubba solid through the year with how much gum I chew it’s likely even my fault. No charge??! Wow… this place is now “an eleven” All told, I’m very happy with them and no longer am afraid to go to the dentist! Thanks again for taking care of me and see you October for my cleaning! You’re the best!

Experiencia positiva: I’m torn on my review. The actual experience was great and I was pleased with the services (4 fillings and a cleaning). However, as others have mentioned, they do not share accurate costs up front and it feels very much like a bait and switch scam. What was supposed to be one price ended up being triple the cost because their insurance estimates were way off. Next time, I will be sure to ask for a preauthorization before I agree to any dental work.

Experiencia fantástica: We moved to the area 3 years ago and didn’t know whom to start seeing for our dentistry! We finally decided to try Tru Dental off 83rd & Happy Valley and couldn’t be more happy! I work in the dental industry (laboratory side) and can be pretty picky about whom we use & can personally say the dentist, front office staff, hygienist and assistants here have been so incredibly sweet, friendly, knowledgeable and gentle! From our first visit they were so sweet and making sure I was relaxed and comfy and showed true care for any of my needs. They are very thorough and will show you areas you should keep an eye on and also what really is urgent to care for if any but are also so compassionate to doing what you need/can do for your personal circumstances. Highly recommend! So happy to find a great dental office to take over our care!

Experiencia negativa: Won’t be returning! Both my wife and I have visited a few times each and their aggressive car-dealership approach is uncomfortable and scam-like. They make you sign these papers that show $0 with insurance for services you don’t even need and then come weeks later you get a bill in the mail. I confronted them and told them why if I signed that $0 paper they said it was a mistake but next time my wife visited they told her to pay and after she confronted them they said they would get it fixed and give me a call and they never did. They told me I needed services I’ve never heard of before and then the next time told my wife she needed her wisdom teeth removed, mind you NO DENTIST prior in her entire life has told her this, not even them the last visit. Seems they don’t have enough clientele and have to make up unnecessary things to charge you and the insurance. Unethical and what’s worst it seems the bad reviews are similar to this so it’s nothing new that they do this with other patients also! Lastly, don’t go with Gloria! She seemed upset when asked to not used fluoride on my teeth and said “that’s how people end up with no teeth” which was so out of place when I have 0 cavities and never have, maybe keep opinions to yourself. Unprofessional to say the least!

Experiencia negativa: I would not recommend this place to anyone. Had flyer for free teeth whitening. I told hygienist and she said to call office and schedule. I called office to schedule and they said unfortunately because I didn’t show the front desk they would not honor it. On my first visit to this office I had asked if my insurance had approved for all the xray costs. They said yes they had got approval from insurance. Two weeks later I get a $92.00 bill. I called the office and they said turns out insurance would not cover one of the X-rays. I asked why the office didn’t inform me and they said that the office didn’t know it was only covered by insurance every 5 years. If I had know I could have called my old dentist office and had them send over the xray. The way this office communicates and how they do business could improve.

Experiencia positiva: Over all everyone in the office is very nice. However all of my procedures felt very rushed. The Doctor was a bit rough. I did make an office member aware. She said I could see the other hygienist/Dr next time. So we will see how that goes.

Experiencia fantástica: I'm sharing the wonderful recent visit to Truedental. I had a chipped tooth that needed a quick repair. They got me scheduled right away. Upon my appointment, they did a thorough checkup and consultation that was surprisingly fast and comprehensive. I would like to thank Miss Ruth and Dr Reynolds (hope i got these right) during this visit. Oh, and the insurance specialist. Note:This was my 3rd visit and each time they have been the best!

Experiencia fantástica: Today I had a crown break while eating a sandwich. I called Tru Dental to see if the could see me. They immediately set up an appointment for 1100. When I got there my dentist advised me that getting a bridge would be a better solution than replacing the crown. I agreed and Dr. Truong and his assistant Ruth did an amazing job. The work was amazingly quick and painless. They took great care of me.

Experiencia fantástica: Best dental visit I’ve had in a veryyyy long time! I unfortunately haven’t had the best experiences previously with dentists but here was great! Everyone from the blonde sweetheart at the front, my dentist Dr. G, Gloria his assistant, to the hygienist (sry I forgot her name) were all super friendly and thorough! I ended up getting 2 cavities filled and Dr. G was gentle but efficient and even took the time to show me my cavities on the big screen. I am a very visual person so this was very reassuring! The only thing I would appreciate is for them to ask whether or not I want fluoride at the end since it’s an additional charge. Otherwise, A+!!

They’re incredibly empathetic and understanding of my fear of the dentist and never make me feel judged when I bring a stuffed animal for comfort or when my teeth aren’t great from when it’s hard to keep up with brushing and flossing on my own. They’re also incredibly accommodating and consistently check in on how I’m doing throughout cleanings and filings. I couldn’t recommend this office enough, and I’ll be going here as long as I can.

Experiencia fantástica: Dr. Reynolds at TruDental is awesome. He has a very kind and patient personality. I am a fearful/anxious patient, but he put me at ease right from the start and worked on three crowns at the same time with little to no pain. It was the best dental experience I’ve ever had and I’ve had all my teeth worked on at some point in my 59 years. Dr. Reynolds and his assistant Jennifer are a flawless team you don’t find very often!!

Experiencia fantástica: Amazing experience. My appointment for 6 cavities was at 3:30 and they closed at 5pm. The doctor was super helpful making sure throughout I was not in any pain. He stayed late just to help me get it done during the day of the solar eclipse after a hard day of work. Thank you for everything!

Experiencia negativa: I do NOT recommend TruDental. They don’t know what is covered under your insurance and they charged me for services not rendered. I had to call the office to get this corrected it took 3 weeks. The office manger could not call me at all. It took 2 hours for the first appointment. I was there at 7:45. I was the first person there and the last one back at 8:10. What a disappointment! The people are nice but that does not compensate for not knowing insurance coverage.

To name a few (if i remember bame correctly): Cassandra, Laura, Ruth, Gloria, Dr. Troung, and I know I am forgetting a few names, but I have had no bad experiences. Only downfall has always fallen on insurance company. I don't like how they come back after the visit saying they won't cover everything. BUT, I understand it is not the office's fault. I recently had a cleaning a couple fillings done. There were no issues, no soreness past the normal few hours. I'm very pleased with our experiences, the cleanliness of the office, and the practice of the team. Highly recommended!
