Experiencia fantástica: I have just recently moved to Texas and we found our home dentist so quickly and were to establish care with them so quickly for me and my whole family. They have been so nice and caring for us. I have had dental treatments and checkups and they always do a splendid job. When it came to my fillings and crown I have had no problem at all and feel so much more confident. Dr. Nguyen and Karina were such a big help and so glad I found a dentistry that I can trust.

Experiencia negativa: Everyone seemed really nice. But they quoted me $300 for a gingivitis cleaning. I got a second opinion from my old dentist (I only left them because I moved farther away from them) and they gave me a cleaning without charging me. So not really sure what that was about.

From my check in process being smooth and greeted by the nicest front desk ladies to the dental assistants and Dr. Nguyen making me feel so comfortable during X-rays and my traeatment. Experiencia negativa: Was a client here for 2 years. If I could rate 0 stars I would. Had 1 crown, 1 deep cleaning and 2 wisdom teeth removed. I was going every 3 months for my deep cleaning maintenance as instructed. However I got sick with kidney stones and was bed ridden for 2 months. I was late to my maintenance due to this. So they wanted to do an entire deep cleaning again for a couple grand again. Im trying to get cavities filled or crowns if needed and they won't do anything unless I do the scam deep cleaning first. I brush twice a day, mouth wash, floss. My gums do not bleed nor do I have bad breath but thats all they care about. Im a mechanic I couldn't imagine telling people they couldn't do the work they wanted but absolutely had to do what I recommended. Ive also explained ill be back yearly to use my insurance available plus remaining payment left over. They push job after job even when my insurance is out and im paying out of pocket. Unless your rich id recommend finding a place that connects with clientele better.

Experiencia negativa: Do not go to this dental office....they over book people do scrappy work and lie about the time ur appt is...my appt was at 10am and wen I got there they said my appt was at 930 and I no for a fact it was at 10am because I have never made any kind of appt ever b4 10am due to the fact I live a hour away and cant make appts thst early....they.dont give a ahit and this has happened to my husband too... plus they take forever and leave u in the room for hours on end... STAY AWAY FROM THEM

I tried to write it off as me being irritated last time, but now they have strung me along for two weeks of pain after implying the procedures would be performed one day after the next. But I did my best to suffer through, and I came on time for the procedure. They refuse to take cash despite no warning, and mock me for asking about it. “People don’t ask to pay cash” Then 40 minutes later I’m still sitting here in large amounts of pain as I have been for twelve days waiting for their “specialist” Gosh golly it continues. They got the temporary on and did no bite check, being drugged up I ofc didn’t notice and ended up having to come back not once but twice to get them to put the temporary in a way I could actually close my mouth. The dentist never even bothered to show her face for either of the return visits. No explanation for their failure no apology for my added pain or wasted time. Finally made it to the day we are supposed to put on the permanent crown. Im supposed to be walking out any minute based on their estimate. Instead I’m guessing I am barely half way. I honestly think they are punishing me on purpose for getting frustrated when their desk person tried to hustle me with a bait and switch on pricing. Do not come here!!! The prime location is the only plus.

She also took the time to educate me about my teeth, which I really appreciated and found very helpful.

I was a little nervous going in because I don’t trust a lot of doctors but as soon as I walked in, I was greeted by this super sweet girl at the front desk Nayely! She noticed I was nervous and she was super patient with me! I had the pleasure of being treated by Dr. Nguyen today! She was able to answer all of my questions and very kindly proceeded with my treatment! I have nothing but amazing comments to say about my doctor! Experiencia negativa: The front desk staff was kind and welcoming, and I appreciated that. I first interacted with the staff member who took my X-rays. She appeared to be in a bad mood, and when I thanked her multiple times during the process, she did not respond at all. That lack of acknowledgment made the visit feel uncomfortable from the start. The dentist herself, however, seemed warm, nurturing, and genuinely concerned during the exam, which I valued. Unfortunately, the tone shifted again when the treatment plan was presented. I was quoted $4,792 for scaling and root planing along with localized antibiotic irrigation, laser bacterial reduction, and additional add-ons. My out-of-pocket portion was quoted at $1,285. The plan felt excessive, and I did not feel the necessity of all the add-ons was clearly justified. There also seemed to be pressure to begin treatment that same day. The two staff members who reviewed the treatment plan came across as aggressive, and the urgency felt more sales-driven than patient-centered. I want to be clear, I have the financial ability to move forward with treatment. Cost is not the issue. Feeling pressured and taken for granted is. I sought a second opinion at Clearview Dental and was quoted $1,587 total, with $675 out of pocket, without the additional procedures that were included in the original plan. A difference of over $3,000 in total cost is significant. Based on both the experience and the dramatic pricing difference, I chose to continue my care elsewhere. Patients deserve respectful communication, transparency, and time to make informed decisions without pressure.

If you are shy, scared, or worried about the dentist you should come to Dr.Nguyen! She will get you right and you will walk out feeling amazing and educated!

Experiencia negativa: In short, it's so called 'deep cleaning' SCAM place. Avoid this place at any cost, otherwise expect to loose your time and money. In more details: I wanted to make just simple cleaning. According to other reviews, I was aware that this place is trying to sell you procedures that you don't really need, but this place located very close to my apartment and I was sure that I can stand the pressure and will be able to get what I need. But it was much worse than I expected!! Instead of getting simple cleaning with $0 out of pocket, their dentist aggressively tried to convince me that I need $900 cleaning and REFUSED to perform just a simple basic one. And I know that I don't need what they trying to sell because I visit dentist regularly, I know exactly what is the state of my mouth and no previous dentist suggested to make this super expensive cleaning. So I spent 2 hours and 1 annual exam from my insurance and didn't get just basic cleaning.

Experiencia fantástica: Y'all. When I say I detest going to the dentist, I mean with every fiber of my being, I HATE going to the dentist. I don't numb on my left side, so they have to drill a hole into my bone to inject the medicine that way. It's terrible. Dr.Nguyen and her team actually listened to me, and heard how anxious I was and made sure that I was taken care of. I had to have a crown but it was quite literally the least stressed I have ever been at the dentist. I will actually keep my next appointment instead of avoiding it. Thank you, Dr.Nguyen!!!!

I was presented with an expensive treatment plan that included multiple add-on services presented as necessary, but which appear to be optional or unsupported by standard periodontal guidelines. After reviewing my X-rays and periodontal chart with another provider, I was told my condition was early-to-moderate and did not justify the scope or cost of the treatment proposed here. Patients should ask detailed questions, request evidence for each recommended service, and strongly consider getting a second opinion before proceeding.

From the very start, my experience was great. The woman I spoke with over the phone, believe her name was Suzette was so kind and helpful.She really made scheduling and getting everything set up super easy, which I appreciated a lot.When I got there, Dr. Strong and his assistant Emily were both so friendly and made me feel really comfortable during my procedure. I've had some bad experiences at other dental offices in the past, so I was pretty nervous going in, but they made me feel completely at ease and took great care of me.Dr. Nguyen did an amazing job putting on my crown she checked on me throughout the whole process and made sure I was comfortable every step of the way. She had such a positive attitude and really made the experience smooth and stress-free.The front desk team was just as great! Nayeli was super communicative and had such a positive attitude while going over my estimate, and the manager, Nely, made sure everything went smoothly with my insurance so l didn't have to worry about anything. Over all, I couldn't be happier with my visit. Everyone was so kind, professional, and genuine. You can really tell they care about their patients. Not only is she competent but she's a fun and lively person with lots of positive vibes. She honestly cares about her patients. I don't know about the other offices in the RRMD network, but I've had nothing but great service here!

But this office completely changed that for me from start to finish young girl Lexi that made my appt over the phone and verified my insurance great customer services skills calling me back when I let them know my tooth chipped Yikes, she asked if I was in pain to get me in sooner thank God no pain, other young lady smiling and friendly at check in/ Suzette at check out making sure all went well and even had me laughing with the small talk. Nelly explaining in thorough my financial portion that is due and when, was well versed on my Dental Plan, gave me time to ask any questions or concerns that I had, reassured me the doctors are great and I was in good hands. Her smile and small talk relaxed me she even stopped by when I was in the dentist chair checking in on me. The dentist first time seeing her was amazing, Dr Linh Nguyen her soft touch with the shots are nearly painless you actually don't even feel the sting nor pressure of the needle, her care for the patients is awesome she knew my shot fears and made sure I never saw that needle coming near me. The crown WOW, perfect fit. My endodontist Brett Strong my fear was gone, and no pain afterwards at all he was gentle and took the time before procedure to see if I had any questions on procedure and during the procedure my infection was deep, he would ask me often if I was ok!! At one point I was falling asleep lol that's how comfortable this office made me feel. Last step crown to have it put in same day was amazing. Experiencia fantástica: I had a great experience at Round Rock Modern Dentistry during my recent visit for deep cleaning and two wisdom tooth extractions. Like many people, I was nervous going in because it had been a couple of years since my last dental visit so I was aware I would need some work done, but the staff doctor Nguyen as well as the assistant Ruby went above and beyond to make me feel comfortable every step of the way. The front desk team Maddie, Nelly and Suzette were kind and efficient, and got me checked in quickly. The hygienist who did my deep cleaning was gentle, thorough, and explained everything as she went so I understood exactly what was happening. She made sure I was comfortable the whole time, which really helped ease my nerves. For the extractions, the dentist Dr Nguyen was incredible- professional, reassuring and very skilled. She explained the procedure beforehand, answered my questions, and made sure I was completely numb before starting. The extractions themselves were much faster and smoother than I expected, and felt well cared throughout the process. What stood out the most to me was the attention to detail and the genuine care from the whole team. After the procedures, they gave me clear instructions for recovery and even checked in to make sure I was doing okay. I felt like they truly cared about my comfort and health,not just getting the job done. I can honestly say this was the best dental experience I've ever had, if you are looking for a place that's professional, compassionate, and skilled, I highly recommend Round Rock Modern Dentistry.

Experiencia positiva: Super disappointed with my experience here. I came in for some tooth pain and was seen by the doctor. She was great, and prescribed some antibiotics. That’s where the good service ends. I was told I would receive a treatment plan with pricing so I could schedule the work I need done. Never did, so I went back in two days later and spoke to the girl at the desk and let her know I was still waiting on a treatment plan. She said they would send it by end of day, but all I got was a text to pay almost triple what I was quoted for the visit and no treatment plan ever came thru. I have tried multiple times to call and can never get thru to anyone. Then I get a call from a collections company trying to collect the bill. I am happy to pay what I was told the charge would be prior to seeing me, but I am not gonna pay three times that amount!!! It’s ridiculous that they can’t return a call or answer the phone, but will send me to collections!!! Poor communication, poor billing practices, and zero help planning future services. I won’t be returning, and hope someone from this office and not a collections agency can call me to straighten this up. Edit: It took me physically going in to speak to someone to straighten this out. Nelly the operations manager was able to fix the issue, and I’m happy they were willing to look into it. Gave them a couple stars back, but can’t get it to 5 as this really could have been solved weeks ago by returning a phone call.

Experiencia negativa: Please don’t go to this office. I can’t speak for the doctors because I never even made it that far. But the front desk staff is completely unprofessional and disorganized. They seriously need customer service training. I called on Tuesday, July 29th to schedule a root canal for my mom, who is in pain. I had already confirmed with the insurance that Dr. Brett Strong is in-network. They told me I had to send her insurance card and referral with X-rays. I asked if they could request it directly from the dentist’s office—they refused. I emailed everything the same day and was told I’d get a call back. I didn’t. I followed up multiple times over the next week—at least 8 calls. Each time I got a different answer: • They had the documents but couldn’t verify them until Friday • The scheduler wasn’t in • Then anyone could schedule appointments • Then suddenly they said my mom’s insurance wasn’t accepted (even though I reconfirmed it with the insurance provider) They even told me they couldn’t hear me unless I spoke louder, and then told me not to yell. I stayed calm as long as I could, but after all that—they still denied my mom service. The last person I spoke to confused the doctor I asked for, made me repeat all my information again, and then said my mom could come—but would have to pay full price. Update: They finally call me back and said they can schedule my mom after I posted this review. I don’t want their awful service, TY! This office completely failed to provide care or basic communication. Do better.

Had a bad experience with the last dentist due to price increases on a quote that i was given weeks earlier. Wife has been to RR Modern Dentistry before for work and told me how great Dr. Nguyen was. I made an appt and was seen a few days later. Overall, fantastic experience. Modern equipment. Super friendly staff and clean office. Dr. Nguyen and team were excellent. The best part was that I got a crown put in the same day. Its been a few weeks now since the visit and ive had no issue. I held off on the review to see how it held up. 5 stars, highly recommended Dr. Nguyen and her team!

I have to say it has been a very long time since I’ve had someone be so thorough and meticulous about the whole process. Usually people rush thru it to get you in and out but I had to give her a shout out for doing such a phenomenal job!

Experiencia negativa: My insurance put THEM AS primary and they booked me and waited until I took a half day at work and showed up to cancel my appointment. I've gone here in the 3 years past with my entire family on a PPO, but switched to DHMO as my benefit costs went up, we've had problems with the front and other staff trying to upcharge us so I stopped going last year, but I need a cleaning badly & my Insurance as of last week told me they were my primary so I went back for another round of horrible service. Never again! They waited for me to show up to tell me they couldn't see me...probably saved me alot of unnecessary upcharges plus I wanted cosmetic and whitening. I'll go elsewhere to spend my money. EDIT called my insurance company & they confirmed they spoke with & confirmed I was indeed their primary, and office still wouldn't see me because they are not taking any "new patients" on DHMO. I'm happy though, I really didn't want to go there & they gave me other options & I let Cigna know they refused their insurance.

I’ve had two appointments and they are consistently professional, thorough with communication regarding insurance coverage, scheduling and tend to be on the conservative side which I appreciate. I’m a happy patient.

Experiencia negativa: Place was great for a while but a couple weeks ago I was recommended a night guard even though I know I don’t grind my teeth. Unfortunately I agreed and was charged 350$ on the spot. I had to call them for 3-5 days to get the mouth guard after it had come in. When I picked it up. It didn’t fit right so they filed it to make it fit better all the while giggling in front of me. Front desk staff is lost half the time and the assistants have no idea what they are doing. I won’t be going back.

Experiencia negativa: If I could give them zero stars, I would. They are the worst dentist I've ever been to. They tried to quote my husband and I $700 for a cleaning WITH insurance and tried to say we both had the same issues with our teeth which is completely false after seeing a different dentist. When they charged me for my son's cavities they over charged me by double than that it was supposed to be and I had to be the one to show them my explanation of benefits and get over half of it refunded. I wouldn't trust them at all, they are super shady. Do yourself a favor and go somewhere else. I have no interest in discussing how you can be better. I stated my issues with the clinic and you can address that with your staff. I corresponded with the dentist I was seeing and tried to see if we could go a cheaper route to keep me as a customer and she made it very clear that wasn't going to happen. Experiencia negativa: BEWARE! This place is terrible. Went in for my normal checkup and cleaning. I got X-rays and apparently a CT scan. The CT was not covered by insurance, but they failed to tell me that. They just run you through the X-ray procedure like they do at all dentist offices. Thought I would get a cleaning, but when checking my teeth was told I need a deep cleaning and it was gonna cost 880 dollars. I said no thank you. They said they couldn't clean my teeth because insurance wouldn't cover if I need deep cleaning. They then told me I had to pay 44 dollars for the visit. I pushed back, Ive never paid for preventative care as it is usually covered 100%. They said they'd just bill insurance. I got my EOB and Im on the hook for 280.40. Total rip off. This place is shady and pathetic. Very dishonest. Go here only if you enjoy being ripped off.

Experiencia fantástica: My family needed a new dentist after 20+ years. I found Round Rock Modern Dentistry was close to our home and decided we would make an appt and see how it goes. From the moment my son and I walked in the front desk staff were so friendly and helpful. When I met Dr. Megens he was absolutely wonderful and a breath of fresh air. He immediately referred me to Dr. Kulkarni the Periodontist. He found I had a severe gum infection and I scheduled surgery with him as soon as I could. Nelly was so wonderful to help us with the finances of the surgery. She was very helpful as to options and explained everything so that I understood it. Dr. Kulkarni and his staff were excellent when I had the surgery. I am on the road to getting my mouth healthy again. I would recommend Round Rock Modern Dentistry to anyone who needs great dental care. I have met all the dentists and find them all to be so wonderful and caring. I give Round Rock Modern Dentistry a 5.0!

Experiencia negativa: I have been visiting Round Modern Dentistry for three years. The service used to be good, and the providers were excellent. However, this year’s experience has been disappointing. During my recent general checkup, they changed my provider without any prior notice. After the inspection, they mentioned that I had very light black spots on my teeth that required filling. They informed me that, after insurance coverage, my out-of-pocket cost would be only $19.20. Trusting their estimate, I agreed to proceed with the treatment. A week before the service, they updated my insurance information. On the day of the treatment, they collected the $19.20 as stated. However, a few days later, I started receiving unexpected bills. When I contacted the clinic to clarify, they claimed that my insurance didn’t cover the full amount and insisted I work with my insurance provider to resolve it. My concern is why they quoted $19.20 as my total cost if they were uncertain about the insurance coverage. Despite multiple follow-ups, I never received a proper explanation or resolution. Every time I called, I was promised a callback, which never happened. This has been extremely frustrating and a complete waste of my time. It genuinely feels like they are engaging in unethical billing practices. Due to this experience, I am revising my rating to 1 star.

Experiencia fantástica: Dr. Cainsford is absolutely wonderful! She explains everything super thoroughly and is always willing to answer questions. I have a needle phobia and she went above and beyond to make sure I was comfortable during my filling procedure. EDIT March 2025: I have now been using this dentist office for two years, and have also had checkups and treatment with Dr. Nguyen. She is the fastest and most precise dentist I've ever had! Would literally trust her with my life. Also, the receptionists and support staff are lovely. When I got my checkup/cleaning the other day, I informed them I had an important meeting to attend right after, and they got me in and out in half an hour. Finally, their pricing for nightguards is surprisingly affordable. I paid about half what I expected for a custom nightguard.

She is very personable, thorough and professional. I have been recommending her to my friends and family. I am someone who’s had to have a lot of dental work over the years and I can always trust her to help.

Experiencia positiva: I have been going here the last 10 years. Seen a variety of different dentists since then. I had paid a lot to get some work done they suggested in the past. Every visit it just seems like they offer less and want more money. Not sure how the average American can even hope to afford the work suggested. Anyways they are good for regular cleanings but if you need work done be prepared to pay top dollar or maybe seek a clinic thay can offer more than just a credit card to put you thousands in debt.

Experiencia fantástica: Friendly, warm environment. Dr. Linh Nguyen and her expert assistants and hygienist did a terrific job. I had a root canal done by Brett Strong, an Endodontist, and a new crown by dr Linh. All in all the work done on my teeth was expertly done with the minimum of fuss.

Experiencia negativa: Do not do business here. The dentists are very rude. All they see in your mouth is dollar signs. When asked why I hadn't gotten the crown REPLACEMENT I was told I needed, I let them know I did not have 1000 dollars. The dentist huffed and stood up and walked out of the room. He didn't even do my oral exam. They change your appointment time and leave you a voice mail and without confirmation. So when you show up to your original appointment time they say you missed your appointment. Save your money and time and go to a dentist who actually cares to about their patients.

Experiencia negativa: This office has been absolutely awful to deal with. They charged my son way more on both occasions of having dental work done and required the money up front. When I got my EOB from my insurance, it was clear we were owed money back. They gave him money back from the first but on the 2nd transaction after numerous calls and the receptionist saying they will call me back, I have never gotten a call back or the money back. Disgraceful. If I have an EOB in hand saying exactly what I knew because my insurance company lines out what is and isn’t covered and they won’t give us our money back. Wow just wow!!

Experiencia fantástica: First time Patient. Had a bad tooth emergency, went to the ER and was told I needed to see a dentist. My sister had high praises for the entire staff and made a call on my behalf. I was amazed when they said could fit me in asap. One tooth extraction, and maybe an hour and a half later I was pain free. From reception to my dentist, everyone was polite, welcoming and dang good at what they do. As someone with a real fear/issue with dentists, they were perfect. That’s not something I ever say in reviews. High praises to this amazing staff!!!

Experiencia negativa: Refused service Called into customer service last night to get help with temp cap that had falling out explained in detail so they schedule me an appointment at the office on palm valley. I had seen another dr at another location the first time. Dr Nguyen came in said she was following state policy and would not work on my issue because another dr started it I explained I would rather see a dr here and she said by state policy dentist don’t work on things other dentist start?? She called her District manager Amina And she said same thing. When I asked for all documentation on policy and my medical records the front desk lady got mad and made a comment that she wished she knew where I worked?? Is this also a threat? No service and get threats?? The whole team came to hear what was going on like a bunch of school girl gossip. The front lady insisted on letting me know then my dates I had medical treatment I gave her where wrong and she was right at this point my response was we are not here to argue who is wrong or right I just need my medical records…never again and do not recommend this place…what a joke

Experiencia negativa: update- TO THOSE LOOKING FOR A DENTIST THAT ACTUALLY CARES TO WORK WITH YOU AND DOES NOT HAVE DECEPTIVE BILLING PRACTICES, FIND ANOTHER DENTIST. I'm thankful that we called ahead to confirm our appointment and the amount they intended to charge. Elise and Alicia (Ally) were extremely rude and ignorant. The fee schedule they were working from was incomplete and stated so at the top of the sheet. Upon trying to get them to actually do their job they chose to interrupt and be disrespectful. They were attempting to charge adult fees for our child (and yes, on the sheet it discloses the age difference between adult and child, which our child is two (2) years under the adult age limit. They would not tell us the type of cleaning our child was to receive, and upon asking for more clarification Ally hung up. We called back and treated as if we were in the wrong for trying to get a complete picture of the fees they were trying to charge. DO YOURSELF A FAVOR, DO NOT PATRONIZE ROUND ROCK MODERN DENTISTRY! update- RESPONSE TO YOUR COMMENT BELOW If providing outstanding service was actually something you took serious, then the more appropriate approach to handling questions about fees would have been to work with the client. Interrupting and being disrespectful serves no purpose. When I called in you/your staff continued to be rude and interrupted me. I was very pleasant and was trying to work with you to show you were you had made the mistake. I hope others who read this and see your attempt to mitigate the bad exposure don't experience the same results after 4 calls to your office trying to work with you and help you see the correct fees for a minor. Experiencia positiva: I had a wonderful experience with Dr. Nguyen, she is a wonderful doctor. However, the receipt I received for the flouride treatment was not sufficient for my Health Equity account. They did not accept it. I tried calling and couldn’t get anyone to answer the phone at different days different times, much else get an itemized receipt for the fluoride. Needless to say I will not be getting any fluoride treatment paid out of pocket in the future. Thank you.

I took my wife to Round Rock Modern Dentistry today to get her molar looked at because she was having pain. They did the x-ray and told her she have a cavity and needs root canal. They gave her a cost estimate and it came to $3020 out of pocket. We discussed it and wanted to get a 2nd opinion of the cost. They tried to get us to go with them by saying no other dental practice will do this and the next appointment this office will have is in July and other stuff (Just trying to scare us into doing it today). We came home and checked the charge schedule the insurance company has avilable for us, which tells you how much you will pay out of pocket after whatever the insurance will pay. when we compared what this dental practice charged us to what the insurance company has assigned for us to pay, the dental practice overcharged us by $1391. of course we are not going to go with them to get my wife's tooth fixed. My wife also mentioned that the dentist did not even spend much time with her to find out what is going on or even ask about the pain, but told her that she looked at the x-ray and she need root canal for them and if you can pay the amount, she can fix them today. Will not recommend this dental business (not a service or practice).

She has fit me in for countless dental emergencies and went above and beyond and provided me with dental cleaning even at the end of the day when her staff had already left for the day. Dr Linh keeps pushing on doing ( deep cleaning) even though I brought to her my history record from my previous clinic that proves I already did my deep cleaning. They waste my time!! Two months for waiting for my normal routine cleaning! Two months for nothing! Its totally unprofessional clinic! I am very disappointed that I waited all that time for nothing. There is no way I’m coming back!
