Experiencia positiva: I recently had my second dental crown here. The office staff and assistants were incredibly kind, supportive, and did a great job explaining the process step-by-step. However, I have noticed that staff turnover seems quite high at this location. Unfortunately, the treatment itself was much rougher than my previous painless experience. It has been a few days and the gums are still throbbing. Worse, the underside of my tongue was somehow cut or burned during the procedure, which is still very painful. Great communication from the staff, but I am very disappointed with the physical aftermath this time.

Experiencia fantástica: I wish had come here first! What a difference from the 1st place! All around this was a much better experience just walking through the door. I went to the St.Paul Mn location. And I seen Dr.H. I can not express myself any better the to say. He's a GREAT! He's a nice guy, hes patient, friendly kind ,caring and he WANTS to hear what you have to say. Wants to know if something is not right!. And he will answer your questions and even look at you when hes talking lol. Im impressed at how the (nursing) staff is included in your care not just the simple things either. The facility is clean everyone there is friendly and courteous. The waiting room is calm and comfortable The only down side to this place is the parking lot.. the entrance is shared with coffee places (caribou coffee i think). Lastly Thank you!!

They explained the things I needed to know and offered further explanations if needed. I love their plan and appreciate that they take time to work it out with you. I’m happy to have found them!

Experiencia negativa: Needed a 2nd professional opinion on an emergency wisdom tooth removal, and only after I wasted my time did they tell me they don’t want anything to do with another dentist’s surgery.

Experiencia negativa: It's been almost 2 years since I've gotten all four of my wisdom teeth removed. I had to go back after a few months because my tooth was still hurting and my neck was still inflamed. They didn't take any X-rays or see if they actually left food or tooth inside. They recommended a therapy for my face which I never was able to contact them. I left multiple messages and received no response. I've been on antibiotics over several times since the surgery. I had to go to the emergency room 2 weeks ago cause I possible have abcess at the root of where the tooth is. They give me a referral for emergency dental and I tried calling aspen dental and no answer per usual. But here's the kicker they will bother you about wanting there money though. Im at the point if anything happens or if I have to become hospitalized because or your mistakes I'm taking you court !!

Experiencia negativa: Terrible experience. I called and explained the situation with my husband's tooth in detail, expressing what we thought he needed done. (Either and extraction or a root canal on advice of another dentist). They told me they had two different specialists in office during the appt that may be available. They verbally assured me that my husband wouldnt leave in pain. I specifically asked bc he had been in pain for days and had been up all night, I right along side him, and he couldnt go through this anymore. We got there early, which was a miracle bc my husband was doubled over and felt nauseous from the pain so we had to stop on the way. And someone else didn't show up to their appt so we got in even earlier. They did x-rays etc bc the ones I organize to get sent over either didnt or the person who's email I was given left the office, I'm not sure. Finally the doctor spoke to my husband and beat around the bush, wouldn't determine anything, wouldn't answer our questions straight. My husband was asking what they could do to help and the doctor rudely said, " I cant just move everyone else's appointments down" as if that's what we were insinuating. He kept talking about us scheduling a more in depth "examination". The dentist finally said, "I'm going to be real with you, I'm not extracting this tooth today" and told him to take ibuprofen and tylenol. (He had been, the pain was so bad, it was no longer working.) My husband said something like, "okay, so I've had my time wasted" got up and pulled off the dental bib and said to me, "if I'm gonna be in pain, I'd rather be at home, can we please just go" I politely stopped the dentist in the hallway and almost started crying. I asked if there was anything he could do. We had been calling places since 7am (the appt was at 1:30pm) He said he didnt have time to do an extraction. There was "nothing" he could do. He said it wasnt his fault. (I never said or implied anything was his fault, I was just asking for help.) I told him what I was told when I called to make the appointments, that they wouldn't make my husband leave in pain, that they'd help him and I asked if all the advice they had was Tylenol and ibuprofen why couldnt they have just said so and he made a disgusted baffled look and threw up his hands and said, "they're receptionists at a call center, they dont know medicine. " (I understand that you cant give medical advice over the phone, but it's like he blamed me for trusting the people that literally work with him and do scheduling) He also tried to say that my husband was throwing things and storming out. All he did was pull off the bib and walk to my kids in the next room, not two steps away. Yeah he was mad, he was in pain and talked down to, he wasn't doing anything unsafe. Btw we got taken care of at St. Anthony Park Dental on Como Ave. They didnt even have to pull it. They heard how much pain he was in and they made time for my husband. It didnt have to be pulled. One look at it and they were able to keep the root in and finish the rest of the break, put a cap on, and prescribe him an antibiotic, all in about less than an hour, including waiting and chatting. And they played my husband's favorite music to help him bc he's anxious of needles. Aspen doesnt understand what emergency dental means, they just wanted a new patient to string along. My friend went to the Bloomington location on the same day and they canceled on her while she was on her way after she called them. They were going to let her show up there to tell her that the dentist didnt show up to the office today. Start treating your patients like human beings.

Experiencia positiva: My first filling experience here wasn’t the best the assistant and dentist weren’t communicating. The assistant was sticking her tools down my throat…. 2nd filling I got with Amy and Dr H was awesome and quick ! They were communicating to each other and could see they liked working together and what they do. They talked me through through the process on what they were doing and going to do next and know this is routine work for dentist but for clients who have anxiety about the dentist this really helps. Would definitely recommend Amy and Dr. H again!!!

Experiencia negativa: I started a repair there so will finish it but will not go back. I felt treates like a thing - a $$ sign and no more. Also the young dentist who Saw me jumped immediately to ‘gotta pull the tooth’ without any discussion - we are not pulling the tooth after options were discussed with her senior dentist. Be careful there.

Experiencia fantástica: After not having insurance for a long time and being on meds that destroyed my teeth I was very nervous about going in to a dentist again. I ended up needing extensive work and the staff has been amazing every single time. They made sure to ask about my anxiety being at the dentist and helped me with it with meds and also just being very kind. Every time I go in I am greeted by name and they ask me about things that I mentioned my last visit. They also answer every question I have very thoroughly and offer to go over everything with me so I feel comfortable. They are always trying their best to work around my work schedule. I recommend them to every one that asks me about dental work. After many years feeling like I needed to hide my smile I feel like I can finally laugh and smile freely. I cannot express just how much they have helped me not just with my smile but also with my confidence and mental health. I am eternally grateful for every staff member at Aspen.

I have a small mouth, my cavities were way back, I have a major gag reflex and they both did everything they possibly could to accommodate all my weirdness without compromising quality of care. I absolutely love this dental practice!!

Experiencia negativa: I got to my appointment a minute late today at 10:01, and they said they couldn't do a full exam because I wasn't there 15 minutes early. It didn't say in any of the confirmation/reminder emails or texts that showing up 15 minutes early is required - literally, not one of them. All communications said 10AM. Also, the person in front of me in line was there for a 10AM appointment, as well, and they didn't say anything about her being late. It seemed like they just overbooked appointments and made an excuse to try to have me reschedule. I wasted 2 hours driving back and forth.

The availability they had for me was amazing. I got 3 appointments worth of work done in 1 appointment!. Grace was so much help. She walked me through everything step by step, made sure all my questions were answered and helped a lot with my finance plan :). I really appreciate how much Grace cared about how I felt on certain prices and getting what paid off when:). I had a great time being consulted by her. Shelby was also very helpful. Emma was very kind and helpful as well, She helped answer a lot of questions and made sure everything correct. The X-ray process was a breeze thanks to Daneysha . She was very kind and welcoming. I haven’t got my x-rays done in awhile and she made the process very simple for me. Amy was also very helpful and kind. She helped me through my appointment and answered all the questions I had. she was very welcoming and fun to talk to. Vanessa was great too. She took her time doing my cleaning and made sure everything was perfect! It was a quick appointment yet it felt like she really got every nook and cranny. She also was very welcoming and fun to talk too. 11/10 experience! Dr Hillesheim was very helpful. He also took his time on my filling and made sure everything was perfect. Very cool guy. He made sure I was comfortable every step of the process, answered all my questions and even taught me a few things about my teeth! 11/10 experience!. Over all I had a great time and wonderful dental experience. I will for sure be coming here from now on and I’m looking forward to to my future appointments thanks to the wonderful staff at aspen dental!!!!

Experiencia fantástica: I haven’t been to a dentist in an absurdly long time. That finally caught up with me and I was in a lot of pain and had a swollen face when I went looking for help. I landed on Aspen Dental because the website said they handled emergencies, they had info on financing, and they could get me in the same day. Check, check, check for the win! When I got there it was more than I was hoping for. Not only did they help alleviate some of the immediate pain but made a plan to address the rest of my teeth issues with some upcoming appointments. The staff I have met so far have been friendly, kind knowledgeable and as a bonus- Funny! I’ve had two appointments completed so far and Shelby- one of the office managers was great after the first visit helping me figure out financing for the entire treatment plan. Dr. H has been the dentist working with me and he along with Amy the dental assistant made me feel relaxed and taken care of while I was having 2 teeth extracted today. feeling comfortable and confident in the people taking care of my teeth and oral health definitely makes the idea of my ongoing dental work much easier. I can worry less about the procedures and more about the final outcome!

I am 64 years old and have been to many dentists (and dental offices) over the years. The staff at the Roseville location was a caring, knowable, very friendly, and confident. Dr Ryan is certainly one of the best in the business. Anyone thinking about doing dental implants, I recommend you start with him.

As a child I had a very bad experience with dental work, and when I had my first ever deep clean Tara I believe her name is WAS ABSOLUTELY amazing and made sure I was comfortable and no pain. And when I came back for my crown, the office lady I forgot to ask her name was very helpful with me understanding the process. I went to a different Dentistry a week prior to do a cleaning and it looks like I still had some things that weren’t taken care of prior that Aspen immediately put a plan in action for. Experiencia negativa: My appointment was at 8:30, i did arrive 10 minutes late due to traffic but they do have a 15 minutes policy. NO ONE was there but me. When i walked in, the receptionist R didn’t even acknowledge me as she was on the phone, so I didn’t mind. I waited and as she hung up, instead of checking me in she decided to take another call so I continued to wait. Another person came up to the desk, didn’t acknowledge me as well so i spoke up and asked if i can get checked in, it is now 8:50. She checked me in and I waited. Then 4 ppl started walking in. They checked those ppl in and let them go ahead of me, which I was shocked but waited patiently anyways. At 9:30, a hour later, i had asked R if they were going to see me? And she replied, “yes we are, sorry but we are one staff short.” Then, 10:00 arrived and 2 more ppl came in, they called a person to go in, ahead of me again. I’m also pregnant, so I am super hungry at this point. I asked R again, “are you guys going to see me? If not, i’m going to leave because I’m pregnant and hungry” She replied again, “yes we are for sure. I will check the back again.” She came back and told me they will be cleaning a room for me. They took me to the back around 10:30 which is 2 hours after my appt. The dental assistant told me they see me very late is because I came to the appt late, 10 minutes late, but 2 hours was very unreasonable. I told her. “You guys could have told me it would be a long wait so i could have went somewhere else instead of waiting out there for 2 hours.” She replied with, “they gave you an option.” And i said, “No they did not, they didn’t even acknowledge nor spoke to me until i asked to get checked in. My 2 stars was because the doctor and his assistant was really kind and made me comfortable. I won’t be visiting Aspen dental anymore.

Experiencia negativa: My partner had their wisdom teeth removed today and was not effectively supplied with pain medication and was not prescribed any antibiotics. He was also not given any directions before the procedure about how to prepare. Very strange, to me. I wonder if the staff is just very forgetful.

Experiencia positiva: I have really bad dental anxiety and they made me feel safe and validated and was patient and calm and talked through everything with me. For someone who hates going to the dentist I am extremely thankful for the way they treated me.

Experiencia negativa: As someone who works at a clinic I have never seen an office both take a $200 deposit and have a 1-day window to confirm appointments before making patients wait another two months. They have very scummy scheduling practices that make me feel like I’ve been scammed. At the very least, it’s extremely evident they don’t care about their patients nor understand different schedules limit people’s ability to answer the phone at all times. They also don’t even answer the phone themselves and have a really creepy AI assistant that makes fake typing sounds. I would absolutely not recommend going here unless these practices change, this has been a very unsettling experience. Staff were friendly but this is just so weird & I have a strong feeling there’s a greedy higher-up that has made it this way. That feeling is further supported by how long I had to wait to be seen after my appointment time. That happens when providers are overbooked. This review is not for the staff of this specific clinic, but moreso for the administation at Aspen; and for the labor I know I’m going to have to do just to get my hundreds of dollars back so that I can be seen somewhere else instead.

Experiencia negativa: Their medical and office staff do not seem to be on the same page. Really frustrating first experience being overcharged, being told conflicting information by staff on what services I needed, and having my follow-up cancelled and having it pushed out six months later. Absolutely would not recommend and won't be going back.

Experiencia negativa: A 2:30pm appointment turns into a 2 hour wait in the lobby. No rush getting patients back to be seen. High pressure sales tactics after seeing the dentist. High dental prices for low quality work.

Experiencia fantástica: Great experience!! I am very grateful for Dr Hillesheim and how much kindness and care he has showed to me. All the staff is great. I have to shout out Amy, she always has a smile on her face and such positive energy! Always a joy to come in.

Experiencia fantástica: I just had my teeth cleaned by Vanessa at Aspen Dental in Roseville, MN and she was REALLY good! I LOVE my coffee and my teeth show it. I try to get my teeth cleaned frequently but a busy work schedule pushed me beyond my usual 6 months. Vanessa not only got all the nasty coffee stains off my teeth, she managed to do it with no pain whatsoever! I have receding gums and sensitive teeth and she managed to give me a beautiful bright smile with no discomfort. I highly recommend Vanessa!

Experiencia negativa: Not really sure what was going on and why. The woman who did my x-ray was awesome and we had laughs multiple times. After she moved me to the room at the end of the hall a little before 10/right at 10, I sat in that room until 10:39 until I stood halfway into the hallway to let someone know there was a patient back here. Seemingly forgotten, dentist comes in a minute or two later to say hey we don't have (some kind of staff members today I can't remember the wording) and just hang tight and sit on my phone and just relax no worries we'll be with you soon. To that I said I took off work, how long will it be still? (Already 30 plus min in the room while hearing others being sat into their rooms and greeted by the male dentist.) So he said ok I'll be right back, he does. He comes back with a woman in hot pink scrubs and they say they will be moving me to room 2, I don't know why but off to room 2 we go. We get in, she drops the Bib on the floor and picks it up and proceeds to get it ready to be placed on me (uncleanly) so I ask if she could use one that wasn't dropped on the ground please. She rolls her eyes and exhales deep and sharp. Grabs a new one. I ask the dentist if he would just check my gum to see if it's infected and not do any measurements? (B/c I don't want this woman in my mouth with any tools after she just got pissed off from that request, in a hygenic office) And his condescending irritation starts. He says ok what do you want me to do then?? I repeated if he could just check it quick. And he repeats verbatim what he said before he asked me what he wanted me to do. (I have to cueck e rays, etc (that isnt the issue, check the xrays but i woild like for her to not do measurements. Im told this isnt whats going to happen) So not sure why he asked me that again. He seemed to lose his patience so to avoid two people playing in my mouth that clearly are annoyed with the patient who was ignored for 30 minutes, I said actually- and I got up and left. I do not want anyone knicking me purposefully or hurting me, so I left. Got my co pay refund processed by the receptionist gal and explained to her what happened. This was very odd, I've never had any other dental office staff act like that. Then he says as I'm leaving (i have anxiety and when I feel like I'm being treated a certain way I feel like I have to get out of the situation which I did) he yells "well you have a good day!....." in a mocking way, careless, and very weird behavior. It was my first time at aspen dental and the two staff members besides the gal with the back of the neck tattoo were not nice and short tempered. I came in for a potential gum infection and now have to find somewhere else. Thought these reviews would be very telling. Not everybody has hours to waste while other patients being seated after them are being helped first. And I don't write reviews but this was very weird. And they don't care, nobody is going to talk to them about professionalism, they'll forget by lunch time. Oh well next patient is waiting, hi hello! Rinse and repeat. Now I see why people don't like going to the dentist. 1st ever bad experience for me.

Experiencia fantástica: I needed to have my upper denture relined in May of this year (at a different Aspen Dental location). Trying to get in to the original location to have some fit adjustments made, proved to be nearly impossible, leaving me unable to wear my denture for over a month. I contacted the Roseville Aspen Office, and they got me in within a few days. I have been back twice since and each and every time I've been there, the staff have been professional, very accommodating and extremely proficient in their craft. Thank you to everyone at the Roseville Office for renewing my faith in Aspen Dental.

Experiencia fantástica: Oh My Goodness!! As someone who HATES the dentist, everyone was so beyond pleasant! The beginning technician was an absolute doll! The main dentist i seen was so knowledgeable and talked me through everything! The only name i caught was the financial advisor shelby and oh my goodness that lady could sell me jarred air and i would buy it! Shelby made me feel so confident in the gross financial portion of the visit and made it feel so much easier to navigate! Cannot thank yall enough! <3

Experiencia fantástica: I had an amazing experience with Aspen Dental and believe every dental office should run this way. The whole staff was wonderful and very helpful. The woman that took my X-rays was very kind and informative. She gave great direction and I never had to guess what the next step was going to be. The hygentiat was great as well and gave some great advise. The financial women I spoke to was also very knowledgeable, kind and helpful. Last but not least the Assistant Amy and the dentist who pulled my tooth were fabulous. Their conversation and fun banter helped calm my anxiety I get at the dentist. PLUS I got a great cottage cheese recipe. If every patient was treated this way I believe more people wouldn't get such anxiety at the dentist. Thanks to the Aspen team for all the help. Experiencia negativa: Went here once last year and immediately after the appointment decided I would not be returning. I am only writing this review now as I just had my next dental appt elsewhere who told me that I, in fact, did not need the $800 mouth guard that the dentist here pushed on me after barely glancing at my teeth - which was my strong suspicion in the first place. I also did not feel cared for by the hygienist, who made multiple comments about the state of my teeth in a judgemental tone as she was painfully scraping around in my mouth, and persistently assumed that I grind my teeth when in actuality I chipped them on a glass years ago. This establishment did not feel like a safe place to me as a patient. I felt like I was an inconvenience and only seen as dollar signs to them.

Experiencia negativa: This was my first time coming here, and I'm not coming back. What was supposed to be a 45 minute appointment took about three hours, and while the technician I saw was polite, the hygienist came across as rather accusatory and condescending. I also didn't like him calling me "sweetie." They didn't get a pharmacy to send my prescription to while I was in office, and I'm pretty sure they completely skipped over the oral cancer screening test I had signed up for. Also, there was no discussion of if a tooth was infected. The guy basically just said, your teeth hurt, here are some antibiotics, it might help, might not. I overheard him saying the same thing to another patient in the next room over. I'm a biochemist with a background in immunology, and that seems profoundly irresponsible to be handing out antibiotics that willy-nilly. Getting the X-Rays done with the little bite stick also normally isn't too bad, but this time it hurt so bad I cried. Also, for LGBTQ+ patients, I saw no opportunities to add in a preferred name or pronouns.

Not a problem at Aspen but more importantly every member of the team is top notch, professional and personable. Handling the paperwork with my insurance company icing on the cake (sugar free of course)!
