The appointment was scheduled for two hours but it only took about an hour fifteen. They made the new crown based on the tooth above...and it fit perfectly on the first fitting. I overheard staff complimenting and building each other up—it was such a day brightener to be around. My only downside was that I thought new patients received an electric toothbrush, but this place is worth it regardless of the promotion. <3

I’ve also worked with a few other assistants and hygienists over time, and every single one has been fantastic—professional, kind, and attentive. And Dr. Herbert is simply the best! She’s helped me with everything from retainers to fixing a chipped tooth, and I always feel confident that I’m receiving the highest quality care. Growing up in a small town, I used to drive 2.5 hours from the Twin Cities just to get that personable, small-town dental care. When I found J & D Dental a few years ago, I took a chance on a new provider—and I’m so glad I did. Even though I no longer live just two blocks from the office, I’m more than willing to deal with the commute into downtown Minneapolis to keep coming back. Even after confirming with her on the phone, she’ll still text you the morning of your appointment to keep you on track. Super helpful! Missy did my cleaning today and went above and beyond. She took x-rays and found plaque my previous dentist completely missed. Then she gave my teeth a thorough detail-cleaning. Easily a 10/10 experience. I originally came in to learn about Invisalign. Erica was fantastic. She carefully mapped my teeth, clearly explained how the whole program works, and took her time making sure I understood everything. Dr. Herbert followed up and discussed what to expect. I had been considering braces, but my previous office didn’t do a great job explaining my options. Dr. Herbert is probably one of the most down to earth dentists you’ll ever meet. This is a long review, but they’ve earned it. 5 stars

I called these folks when they opened this morning, explained my circumstances and they had me in their office at 11:30am! First class service from the phone call, to the office visit, to checking out! If we lived here, hands down this would be our family dentist. Nothing but good things to say about all of these folks.

They always explain exactly what is going to happen to me, even when I'm just there for a cleaning. I got my teeth cleaned a month ago at another dentist and she noticed they missed a cavity that was decaying my front tooth. Filled it quickly and easily and built some great rapport with them the entire time. My smile looks better than prior to the chipped tooth. I ended up scheduling a cleaning in 6 months and J & D Dental will be my new permanent dentist.
