Experiencia negativa: If I could give negative stars I would. My son was due for a cleaning and x-rays/exam. I was a patient with Sage dental for years in Pembroke Pines and I had an implant placed during that time. I liked that I was able to do everything in the same office rather than being referred out, so I scheduled an appointment at the Royal Palm office for my son who needed to establish care at a new dentist office post braces… he just turned 18 and also needs an implant placed. I was told it would be a 2 hour appointment with a cleaning because they had a 9:30 appointment and he had to work at 12 I asked that we schedule the cleaning for another day, that would have made the appointment an hour long. I text him at 10:30 to ask how it was going and he told me he was still in the waiting room. So I called to ask why he hadn’t been seen yet? the receptionist said he was being taken back then. So I’m guessing they forgot he was sitting there?? Had no sense of urgency at all. He sat in the exam room And did not get X-rays for another 45 minutes and at 11:30 the dentist still had not been in to see him. So I called yet again and the girl put me on hold forever, I’m guessing because she didn’t have an excuse??! I shortened the appointment to 1 hour and it STILL took 2 hours and for nothing. So the established care we were looking for we are taking elsewhere. Horrible service. Do not recommend at all.

My insurance recently changed to an HMO and I had no idea what that meant, and Roberta helped me navigate who to call and what to do, and despite that lasting nearly an hour past my appointment time, they still took me in and did an extremely thorough consultation. Everyone was so kind and helpful, they took all my concerns very seriously and truly went above and beyond to ensure I was fully taken care of, and they had a treatment plan ready to go almost immediately. Very thankful this is the office I chose to go to!

Experiencia negativa: They was given Bad Experience – Misleading “Free Consultation” I had a very disappointing experience at Sage Dental in Royal Palm. I was told as a new patient that I would receive a free consultation. I came in because I was in pain and explained that I wanted the problem area addressed first. At no point did I refuse or decline the free new-patient consultation. After the visit, I was unexpectedly charged $150.00 for what they called a “Sage plan,” which was explained as a charge for the visit itself. This was never clearly disclosed beforehand, and it directly contradicted what I was told about the free consultation. I feel this was misleading and unfair, especially since I was seeking care due to pain and relied on what was communicated to me before the appointment. Transparency matters, and unfortunately this experience did not reflect that. I would caution new patients to get everything in writing before agreeing to any visit.

My husband had a full mouth treatment and she did an amazing job. My husband’s smile is great. If you book with her you will not regret it.

Experiencia negativa: I have good teeth, just do regular cleaning with another dental office which is covered by my insurance. The dental office recently left my insurance network, that's why I tried to switch to Sage Dental and expected to continue to do regular cleaning. When I made the appointment, they told me my insurance is good, will cover everything. During the visit, I had to pay a fee and they said insurance does not cover it. They told me I had to do a deep cleanning which will cost hundres of dollor that incurance does not cover. In the end, after wasting so much time, they did nothing usful for me, just keep sending me bills that they say insurance don't cover....

When I arrived, I had detailed x-rays and a an exam was told how much my treatment plan would cost in recommendations, but wasn’t actually scheduled for any sort of cleaningIt was very inconvenient that now I have to take more time off of work if I want to schedule the actual cleaning I thought I was getting needless to say I will take their treatment plan and maybe look around for better pricing options.

Then, when I arrived, they charged me for X-rays but did not do my cleaning because they were closing in an hour and a half. Now they want me to come back and pay again for the cleaning. Then refused to schedule me for a regular cleaning since they determined i needed a deeper cleaning at an extremely expensive cost that insurance wouldn't cover. When I advised that was out of my budget right now and I'd like the standard cleaning, they refused. Its not about care, its about money for them. Will never step foot into a Sage office again.

She was gentle, explained each step, and made sure I felt comfortable throughout the entire process. I really appreciated her reassuring manner and attention to detail—what could have been a stressful visit turned out to be simple and stress-free. If you have braces and are anxious about dental cleanings, Mila is an excellent choice!

Experiencia negativa: Absolutely disappointed. Since February, I have been trying to schedule my daughter’s dental work. Three separate times I was rescheduled at the last minute — even once after traveling outside the city and arriving for the appointment, only to be told it was canceled while we were in the office. When we finally got an appointment, it took 3.5 hours before anyone came out, only to say my daughter now needs a crown (over $1,000 with insurance) because the cavity had gotten so large from all the delays. On top of that, the front office staff still tried to charge me for a filling that couldn’t even be done, plus additional charges for services not included in the treatment plan I had signed. Because of all this waiting and poor communication, my child now has to reconsult with Ortho. This has been incredibly frustrating and disappointing. I do not recommend the Wellington location to anyone.

Experiencia negativa: I went in yesterday and my experience was horrible. Sandra Perez De La Cruz is the worst. I told her multiple times that I wanted to do only one filling and I’ll like to schedule another filling for another date. She gave me an attitude stating “this is ridiculous and I got other important patients.” She rudely walk away from me. I really don’t understand the problem of doing one filling and scheduling another. Is that not my right as a patient? The other staff and reception desk did not seem to care about my issue, but only ask me if I’ll like to do a cleaning from a hygienist. Clearly as stated from Sandra Perez De La Cruz has more important patients and do not like scheduling, so I would not recommend them. I’ll find me another dentist that will. Also they never email me back my radiographic images that I requested, but want to email me an almost $4,000 bills of recommendation. I’ll be sure to get a second opinion from another dentist.

I’ve called several times within two weeks and prior, for an answer about a treatment and I’m always told I’ll get a call back. I never do. This company is probably the worst when it comes to customer service. Don’t waste your money with them. Take your money to a Dentist office that actually cares.

However, it took them 1hr to take pictures, and tell me I need to go see an oral surgeon for a wisdom tooth that is not causing me any pain; and it is apparently URGENT MATTER. Quite deceiving I must say. Then they like rush you to sign something, which they do not thoroughly explain. It seems I was taken advantage of. Im not sure if it is because I am young, or if that's what these places do. But, next cleaning I will take my business else where. Additionally, as I was checking out decided to charge me an extra 200, which I am not paying. I am only paying 20 dollars for my xray. Absolutely abysmal.

But they wrote up this treatment plan and did not explain any of the charges and just told her it was $200. My wife being new to my insurance plan did not realize what was going on. I feel they manipulated.her and ripped her off. Never go back again. Their billing practices are wrong.

Experiencia positiva: The staff was polite, and the doctor did shake my hand — but none of that makes up for the fact that I was denied the only thing I came for: a basic cleaning. I have Delta Dental insurance that covers two cleanings per year, and I told them clearly — multiple times — “I just want my teeth cleaned.” Instead, I was processed like a product: filled out forms, gave X-rays, got my data collected, verified coverage with Delta on a recorded call… and still got told I needed a deep cleaning — even though I already had one five months ago. Yes, I need some fillings, and I’m happy to schedule that later. But I didn’t come in for a sales pitch. I came in for a cleaning. And I left with nothing but frustration on what should’ve been a simple birthday visit. This isn’t how dental care should work. It felt like insurance games and upselling tactics, not patient-first treatment. Be careful — this office might be friendly, but their policies say otherwise

Experiencia negativa: The dental hygienist shouted out all of my dental concerns for all of the whole office to hear. I would have preferred a more quiet, professional approach to my oral concerns. Where the hygienist quietly addresses the concern with the actual dentist, not to a sub-par assistant. The actual dentist only addressed me to go over the treatment plan in the fashion of a regular salesperson, not a true caring medical professional. I since switched to a true, professional dentist.

They don't shame you and will instead encourage you and ask how they can help when it comes to keeping up with preventative care. The office ladies are friendly too, and very accommodating if you need to reschedule your visit due to sickness or work. Truly the best!

Dr Moran was very direct with what I would need but it was explained in a compassionate manner. My hygienist Mila is always quick to tell me where I am excelling and what I need to improve on each visit. You can find a better team in my opinion.

I have been with my last dentist for over 10 years, using my insurance plan that gave 2 free cleanings and xrays per year. They finally retired and I searched for a new one on my insurance plan and found Sage. So my wife and I went and before the cleaning they do a full xray and pictures then they have the doctor and the hygenist spend over a half hour to find problems in my mouth. Then they send in the financial sales lady with a some 20 lines itemized list approximately total of $20,000.00 asking me where I would like to start. I said I would think about it but I would like my cleaning. They said since the ran out of time I would have to reschedule. I did for the following day. Then after leaving I went back to make sure it was still covered on my insurance, they said it was, so then I asked if there would be any charge they said $90.00 for fluoride. I said I don't want fluoride they said I don't have any say. So I cancelled. These people are crazy. And a total scam. BEWARE

Experiencia negativa: Went there in pain for them to remove the tooth, she wanted to do a root canal, but the moment I said no to just pull it, she became cold and rude. I went somewhere else and they removed it, the dentist there said it wasn't worth doing the root canal since it was cracked.
