The only issue I have is the wait time after the dental cleaning. It took a good 20 minutes of sitting and waiting with my toddler to talk to the dentist.

Experiencia fantástica: I took my 20 month old to see Dr. Angela Lee for his second ever dentist appointment. He was really sleepy/cranky, but Dr. Lee was so great with him! We had big tears and emotions, and she got down to his level to try to reassure him, sang to him throughout the oral exam, and explained his care plan in a way that I would be able to remember despite my son and I being overstimulated from the experience. The entire staff was very good to us and I would definitely recommend Dr. Lee for other families!

We were walk-ins and I just requested to be on the cancellation waiting list because my son is in pain. The staff was very welcoming and accommodating and they were really very helpful. My son was properly diagnosed by the doctor and treatment plan was given and will start ASAP! Experiencia fantástica: I took both my son's to get their cleanings done for the first time at this office with Dr. Josh. My youngest is on the spectrum and was very nervous. Dr. Josh and the assistant made him feel so comfortable during his visit. Dr. Josh explained to him about everything he was going to do including showing him the instuments that he was using and what they were used for. My other son did good as well and was cavity free. I definitely will be keeping them at this office! The staff is great and friendly, works very well with the kids making sure they are welcomed and comfortable.

Experiencia positiva: The dental hygienist and the dentist are great. What would be great, is if they would be a bit more organized as far as scheduling. After my kiddo got her teeth cleaned they wanted to schedule a follow up in a couple of weeks for a 20 minute appointment for a protective coat on her molars. I asked why they couldn’t do it at the same appointment, and they said they gave her an optional fluoride treatment with the teeth cleaning and didn’t like doing the molar coat with the fluoride treatment. So I have to take more time off from work, and spend more time driving all over town for a 20 minute appointment that could have been done with the cleaning if they’d explained up front that we could skip the fluoride. Not very efficient.

Dr.Mark was patient with my toddler and worked with him for his first visit . I came back later in the day with my 8 year old, she was so excited/suprised to see her name written on glass. Ronnie was great when taking her X-rays and kept the magic alive once hearing my 8 year old story about the tooth fairy . He educated her on how to properly floss/brush her teeth. Dr.Mark answered any question I had about her care. Over all it was an amazing experience .

Experiencia negativa: I went to this clinic with my 18 month old son. While the clinic is fine, I thought their pricing is exorbitant. For a 2 minute check up for a little kid, no cleaning, tiny fluoride, a charge of $365 just seems like a rip off.

Experiencia negativa: I brought my daughter to Sunnyvale Pediatric Dentistry for an emergent pain and Dr Mark was the one assigned. The experience was terrible. After took one glance at the pain position, he diagnosed to extract the teeth and add a spacer, without checking any photo or x-ray. I was in shock and asked if he could elaborate more. Dr Mark didn't show any empathy or patience. He literally said "I already told you and that's the only way". I did meet multiple doctors in Sunnyvale Pediatric Dentistry and the experience was great, but Dr Mark is an exception. I hardly trust his diagnosis and will never visit him again. Update: the office staff reached out to me regarding this and apologized for it. I really appreciate that. However, the behavior of asserting there was only one treatment way without full explanation is not only lacking empathy but also not professional. My past experience was that the doctor would provide multiple treatment plans with pros and cons, and then determine the preferred one by taking the patient's opinion into consideration. And this is also the experience I had in other dental care this time.

But start sending text messages couple of weeks before threatening you to confirm appointment or call them to cancel, otherwise they will bill you 75$. What a pathetic example of customer service.

Experiencia positiva: We have since left this practice. Our first few years were positive there, our first appointment was amazing. But my son developed some anxiety around going to the dentist and from there on out it was not a great experience. I had a dental assistant scold my son for crying and scaring other patients and generally taking too long. Just generally made us feel like an inconvenience. I often left these appointments in tears myself after seeing how upset my son was and having to hold him down for appointments. I was glad when they stopped taking our insurance and it gave us the push we needed to go elsewhere. Much happier where we are now. We have done a lot of work on our own since then like getting him a toy dental kit, and getting him to verbalize what about each step scares him, but I also see how our new dentist is really willing to take the time to work with me and him to find a way to get things done without holding him down or scaring him further and offered more frequent visits to get more acclimated.

Experiencia negativa: I had a disappointing experience with the front desk. We arrived just 5 minutes late for our appointment, and instead of handling it professionally, the staff kept asking us—three times—if we were sure we wanted the same time next week. It felt like they were assuming we’d be late again, which was unnecessary and frankly, rude and biased. Everyone can run a few minutes behind once in a while, but that doesn’t mean we should be treated differently or judged unfairly. Customers deserve respect and professionalism, not assumptions. This experience left a bad impression, and I hope management ensures their staff treats all customers fairly and without bias in the future.

But since the last cleaning and we have a new dentist, the treatment appointment are really long. 1 h for a treatment appointment. During this hour you spend 40 min waiting and 20 or 15 min for treatment. I'm sorry but the appointments are during hours of school, and they miss school for nothing. I'm going to search for a new dentist more efficient. This time, the assistant doesn't have any seat during all time he's helping the dentist, he stays all time standing up. Furthermore, the parents wait during all appointments on a hardwood chair for 1 hour. Watch out for your back. The personnel are nice but the organisation is not efficient, you waste time for nothing. While you wait, the dentist sees other appointments.

I'd comment on 2 aspects that I see declining quality: (1) We waited for 37 minutes before the doctor came to see us, for 10 minutes. (2) The (new) system sent out reminders 2 hours after our appointment. Days before the appointment, it also sent a message to remind me "filling forms in order to see the doctor today". "Today" was confusing and I had to call their office to double check. The staff who answered my call was nice. I sinerely hope our community service provider maintains their quality.

I’ve taken my daughters to a family practice and didn’t like that they didn’t cater to younger kids. I’m glad I found this place over a yelp review and will continue to go here. My daughters really like that it was Nemo themed reminding them of Finding Nemo and how the TV’s were placed so they can be distracted while getting their cleanings or procedures done. The staff is really great at being attentive to patient care and we really appreciate that aspects of this place. We want to thank Maylene(?) for her kindness and care with my daughter. Experiencia fantástica: We recently moved to the area and had a very positive experience with Dr Mark and his team at Sunnyvale Pediatric Dentistry. Special mention for Josh who was SO patient with my child, who was very nervous having a not so good experience with our previous dentist. Josh was patient and allowed my child to get off the chair and come back at their own pace without forcing or hurrying them. Dr Mark also was very accommodating and met my child at their level. I really appreciated both in their listening skills and giving my child a comfortable space to express themselves and their concerns. Everything about SPDO is catered to infants & children to the gentle demeanor & patience of all the staff & doctors to the thoughtful waiting room with light toys & activities. The restroom has a changing pad and they have tvs tuned to children shows and movies to keep your little one occupied. If the tv won’t do it, parents can hold their children on their laps or in the chair during the exam. They even give out little stickers and trinkets at the end for your little one. You never know how your children, especially when they’re barely toddlers, are going to handle these type of visits but SPDO makes the experience easy and enjoyable. Looking forward to having our children continue going here for all their dental & ortho needs! Also some useful info, they’re usually on time and we have never had to wait more than 5-10 mins even when they appear busy! Free parking on site and plenty of street parking. Forms are easy to fill out since they email or text them to you way in advance but show up 15 mins early if you’re unable to fill out beforehand.

Experiencia negativa: Well, Sunnyvale Pediatric is no longer in network for Metlife! We made the cleaning appointment several months ago and they didn't bother to inform us. After the cleaning, then they charge us bunch of thing since they are now not in network. I would think there is rules that they need to inform us when the change is on their part. Don't come here! -------------- We used to go to the Dental practice that share the same address. Last 1-2 year, it merged with Sunnyvale Pediatric. It was ok since we still can see our Dentist. But in the most recent visit, they tried to charge us for something. When asked why we had a copaid for cleaning, they were clueless. After much discussion, they were trying to charge us fee for xray, when it should be 100% cover.

Experiencia positiva: My son had fillings done here and Dr.Josh was absolutely amazing. He was kind, gentle and made my 4 year old so comfortable in the chair. He sat so well for almost an hour getting 2 fillings done and never complained about being in pain or uncomfortable. We needed one more filling done so we came the following day but unfortunately it was not with Dr.Josh but with Dr.Mark. We were in his chair for no more than 20 minutes because my son was in pain and scared. My poor son complained that he was in pain and as I tried to advocate for my son, Dr.Mark INSISTED that there was no way he could be in pain because of the local anesthetic given, only to find out later that he only given him half the dose so it would “wear off faster” I didnt feel heard and I could tell he was frustrated/upset because I was doing my best to make sure MY baby was okay. Since he was in so much pain, he was squirming around and they were physically restraining him which I did not appreciate. I told him to stop numerous times in which he replied with “we’re almost done”. Considering the traumatic experiences I’ve personally dealt with the dentist in the past, I make sure my babies are spoken for and heard if something doesn’t feel right. This isn’t to say Dr.Mark is not a good dentist, I just want to make it transparent that when I advocated for my son , we were not listened to. We will happily still see Dr.Josh, 5 stars!!!!!

Experiencia fantástica: We had a great experience at Sunnyvale Pediatric Dentistry for our son Elijah’s first visit. The staff are friendly, understanding, know what they’re doing and certainly professional. The place is well prepared for children to get comfortable. Would recommend this clinic to a friend.

Experiencia fantástica: Honestly the best dentist I've been to in my entire life. Everyone was so friendly and kind, and shockingly fast! Our baby is 12m with eight teeth, and doesn't do great with strangers but she loved everyone in the office. They were able to check her teeth, do a cleaning, and even take a cute photo in just 15 minutes or so! So so grateful for this office and looking forward to our next visit in a few months

Experiencia fantástica: My daughter’s wire got loose while having lunch. We called and were able to schedule an ad hoc appointment and were able to come in within 15 minutes. This was the day before Thanksgiving. What a relief. Thank you to the friendly staff at Sunnyvale Pediatric Dental!
