Experiencia positiva: I want to start by saying that Dr. Andrew Couch is an excellent general dentist. He is often rushed, but his clinical work is consistently great. The dental hygienists are also outstanding. My concern lies with one of the younger front desk staff members, whom I will not name, but who in the past has been extremely rude and unprofessional. That experience was serious enough that I chose not to return for over a year. Today, I decided it was important to share my experience directly, so after my appointment I informed Dr. Couch about it. I was taken aback when I received neither an apology nor even an acknowledgment that the matter would be addressed. Instead, I was told that « you have to do what’s best for you »; which translates that my business is not needed and a complete dismissal of my concern. While I do not need to know the outcome, I did expect a certain level of customer service, basic courtesy and professionalism.

As a new patient, I felt welcome from the moment Amy greeted me up front to Victoria, Dr. Couch's assistant, who prepared my chart and did dental photos. Dr. Couch did a thorough exam and reviewed my dental X-rays with me thoroughly, something I'd never had done so detailed before. He reviewed my treatment options, and allowed me to participate in what and when those treatments needed to be done. I was thrilled to establish with Dr. Couch since I'd had the experience, after moving to Lexington, of trying another dentist where I found that calls were returned days later (and in one instance still not returned after 3 months). The non-returned call was what may me transfer from that office. It was refreshing to call Dr. Couch's office and speak directly to a live, friendly person!! This office is upfront in providing a summary of procedure costs which are in line with what I was paying at my previous dentist in Bowling Green. I am glad I made the choice to establish with Dr Couch!

Instead of just filling the cavities and sending me on my way, he helped me figure out why they were occurring based on their location as well as solutions for how to prevent them. The problem is not always from lack of brushing or flossing (which is the only thing I’ve been told since I was a child), but from sleeping with my mouth open causing it to dry coupled with acid reflux so mild I didn’t know I had it. Very grateful for his insights, understanding, and knowledge he shared so I can prevent future cavities and better my overall health.

Dr. Couch and Shelby have been very thoughtful and patient with me. Dr. Couch will stop working when he knows I’m getting anxious, to make sure I am okay; and usually starts chatting about something that takes my mind off my nervousness for a few minutes. Shelby will offer you a blanket if you’re cold as well as ear buds to listen to the TV while they are working on you. I have experienced ZERO post-procedural pain! They take pride in their work and want to make sure you are happy with the results. I can not say enough how excellent the service and care has been so far!

I really wish they would take the patients time into consideration and not require 2 days of missed work. I would much rather have one longer appointment than to miss/leave work two days. I had a bad experience with another company that kept pushing additional (expensive) treatments I didn't think I needed. This place was not like that. I really liked the dentist and staff. I loved how the paperwork is done online. I loved the pricing before services and they explained things to me. I had a dental exam and cleaning. I walked out without pain/ discomfort from the cleaning (jaw issues) and I'm looking forward to completing my treatment plan developed by the dentist with me. Would recommend to family and friends.

Experiencia fantástica: Having a broken tooth removed is never fun but, I have to say that I was made as comfortable as possible and Dr. Couch talked to me throughout. The tooth put up a fight & he did a great job getting it out. While I won't say "it was fun", he and his staff greatly reduced my anxiety level, made it as pain free as possible and gave me instructions and support for after care.

Experiencia fantástica: Dr. Couch and everyone in his office are amazing. This is the first time in my life that I have actually liked going to the dentist. My husband, son, and mom go as well. They go out of their way to remember details and make you feel like more than just a number. I still don’t like metal touching my teeth but at least they make the rest of the experience enjoyable.
