Experiencia fantástica: I've been going to Schroeder's Dentistry for many years, Dr. Thad is the best there is - I am not a huge fan of dental work but I fully trust him and his practice with everything. All his staff are absolutely wonderful and talented people. Whenever you are being scheduled or squared away after an appoint you will probably be speaking with Victoria, she is very kind and always accommodating if you have any issues. If I was to ever move out of state, I honestly would consider planning my trips back home around dental work so that I could continue coming here.

Experiencia fantástica: I’ve been to plenty of dentists in my life and they all seem to get paid really well thanks to my teeth. In the name of prevention Ive gotten expensive work too many times. Dr Schroeder Is The ONLY dentist I’ve been to who convinced me I didn’t need a crown (over $1000) but a filling - much less $$$. The work was exceptional, the staff was amazing and all very sweet and kind. This is my family’s dentist for as long as the doors are open.

She was incredibly kind, reassuring, and genuinely cared about getting me taken care of right away. Dr. Schroeder carefully and precisely placed my veneer back into position, and the entire process was completely painless. I’m so grateful for how smoothly everything was handled — especially during such a busy time of year. I can’t recommend this office enough!

Experiencia fantástica: Until today, I have never had a good experience with a dental office. My teeth quality isn’t the best and I always leave dentist offices feeling defeated between the feedback and the pricing. Unfortunately, I spent the weekend with debilitating tooth pain which developed into swelling. I had no choice but to find somewhere to be seen. Thankfully one of my best friends referred me to Dr. Thad. My friend reassured me that I would be in great hands- and boy was he right. I was able to get a next day appointment and was met with compassion at the door. The office is beautifully decorated and clean. Every person in that office that I came into contact with was so kind and empathetic- especially Dr. Thad and his assistant Haley. They quickly came up with a plan to get me well. Even in immense pain it was a good experience. I am so thankful that I was referred to this practice. I plan to establish primary dentistry care through them moving forward, and I will be telling all of my friends and family to do the same!

I had called on a Thursday and they were completely booked up and I needed to get in fast my wisdom teeth were absolutely killing me, I got in that following Monday first thing an had a quick consultation from Dr Bright who was fantastic and very gentle and caring. They were booked until march for wisdom teeth removals but they moved stuff around and got me in the NEXT day to get them taken out. Definitely making this my go to place!!

I initially was Dr. Fred Schroeder’s patient, on my sister's recommendation after my former dentist retired. Due to some long-time health issues, I had not kept up with my oral care as I should have - Dr. Fred performed several root canals and crowns painlessly. He is personable and explains his reasonable treatment plan in easy to understand terms. When his son, Dr. Thad, graduated and joined his Dad's in practice several years ago, scheduling needs saw me become Dr.Thad's patient. As an RN of many years, I am quite particular and am quick to point out anything I do not understand or disagree with. I am so pleased to report that I never have had a need to be anything but extremely pleased with Dr. Thad’s care and technique. He impressed from our first appointment together. Though he then was then fresh out of school, joining his father in private practice, he was always decisive; never hesitant to present his diagnosis and proceed with a successful treatment plan. His latest "WOW" in my care involved a tooth that had a root canal and crown placed in 2011 that developed an infection in the bone due to a fracture in the original tooth. I feel as if he cared about my comfort and welfare, as if I were a family member - seeing me within hours of onset of sny dental emergencies and he even returned phone calls and texted with me to answer questions after hours or over a weekend if I required oral antibiotics before a procedure. I simply cannot say enough about his attention, empathy, and aura of concern to my comfort at every twist in my dental care journey. From answering “thinking ahead, what IF" questions, to making sure my pain was controlled, Dr. Thad practices on a level that far exceeds his years of experience - and he does all of this with expert technical skill. . As I told him the other day, I think he is aa magnificent dentist, but he is an even better human being! And that has sadly become more and more rare to find in the medical professional arena these days. You won't go wrong trusting Schroeder Cosmetic and Family Dentistry with your families' oral care! Experiencia negativa: Worst experience ever! I had been set up for a cleaning for four months. They call me one day before my appointment to advise me that I would have to pay because I’m maxed out but I was never told this before hand. I had to cancel my appointment and they knew I had canceled but now have tried to charge me for a service I never received and cancelled. I was told the payment would be taken care of and I wouldn’t have to pay. So why am I being sent a bill? will never return nor recommend..

Experiencia negativa: Schroeder Dentistry and the Dr. Thad were very kind and professional and the actual Dentist made me comfortable after years of phobia. Additionally, he is incredibly talented. I spent my retirement, $32K, and had several successful visits with lots of implant and cap work and initally had a passable smile for an old lady. Unfortunately, I now have a broken crown and tooth at the bottom front and have had to wear an uncomfortable prosthetic that is difficult to speak around on the top and I have a professional position that makes this embarrassing. However, I would need at least $10K more work, and must pay $1800 to even start treatment to improve the appearance and function which I now cannot afford given I have spent my entire savings already. All this means I will not be taking part in professional meetings and do not go in public unless required. It is all a disappointing experience with the funds spent so far, but I guess a passable smile just is not attainable unless you have unlimited disposable income. I would highly recommend the experience of Schroeder because of the gifted dentistry available, but please know it will come at great personal cost.

Told me my filling came out and they fixed it right then. I hadn’t been to the dentist in over a decade and was terrified to go in, but I felt more calm as soon as I walked in the front door. The staff is amazing and so sweet. Will definitely be back and would recommend to anyone.

Experiencia fantástica: I went in about a month ago and had a root canal performed. Since then I have been back several times trying to get my permanent crown. No problems with the team but they recieved 2 crowns that would not fit correctly. I left defeated twice in the last 2 weeks and Dr. Schroeder could tell. Dr. Schroeder came in on his day off to take care of me. I am blown away with the full teams service and ability to make you comfortable through the entire process! Thanks again!

I was offered vague future appointments and sent away in pain. For a place claiming to offer emergency care, this was anything but. Deeply disappointing and dehumanizing.

I paid cash so it was a little under 6k..last year I suffered a injury to my bridge work and unfortunately Sr. Had passed away but I did get to see his son that estimated a whole new bridge would be 10,000k.. I left devastated I will never be able to afford that and will never get my teeth fixed.. his dad assured me that I would always have my first bridge cover with him but since he is no longer living looks like I'm up the creek without a paddle smh

All the staff were very nice and personable. Dr. Bright explained the X-rays and what treatment was needed. At checkout their payment plan was explained. No pressure but I decided in the long run I would save some money purchasing it. Setting a follow-up visit was easy and much sooner than I expected.

Through a series of unfortunate events (some of my own doing) such as cavities, replacing old fillings, wisdom teeth, broken teeth, etc, you name it, I have been to his office many times. Every single time, I am impressed with his knowledge, compassion, and kindness. Dr Schroeder is amazing, as well as his office staff. They always make me feel comfortable. I highly recommend.

I've been going to Schroeder Dentistry for over 20 years and still have all my own teeth (except one, but that's not their fault) so they must be doing something right! In all seriousness, everyone there is wonderful to work with and seem to enjoy what they do. I've recommended them to several friends who are now long term patients, one of them being someone who hated the dentist from prior experiences and put off going back for years, but now goes regularly and loves them as much as I do. If you are looking for a new dentist, you just found it!

Everyone shows genuine concern for their patients' comfort. The office is bright and sunny and every chair faces a window. Dr. Thad took great care of me when my wisdom teeth were removed. My kids love it here, too, and they get super excited when I tell them it's time to go to the dentist.

Experiencia negativa: The ONE STAR rating is higher than I wanted to give but there is no Zero option. Going to this dentist practice is the biggest mistake of your life if you are desiring quality work and restoration of your teeth, so you can chew and SMILE!! Several years post our last experience here we are still encountering costly repairs for damages caused by His mistakes, i.e., hitting a good front tooth with a drill and few years later, now a good front tooth has chipped where damaged and will require a crown. Other costly mistakes causing loss of good solid teeth, i.e., his tech broke off most of the tooth in a process of a crown procedure causing there to be nothing for the crown to adhere to,,, causing bridges and more expensive work to be necessary. Lies, coverups and exhorbitant charges are what you get here. If he reimbursed me the $$$ I paid because of his malpractice, it would come close to buying a new car. Much unnecessary "cosmetic" work was done but due to my ignorance of his practice, the charges would finish paying for a new car. I GIVE THIS PRACTICE A MINUS ZERO RATING.THIS PRACTICE SHOULD HAVE BEEN CLOSED DOWN LONG AGO AND HIS LICENSE REVOKED. Warn your family and friends and save them a nightmare of procedures and much time spent in the dental chair with an exhorbitant bill.ing I hope by now other patients have seen through all the deceit and ripping off that occurs in this dental practice!!!

They went out of their way to put me at ease and make the visit as pleasant as possible, taking the time to explain everything. Both the hygienist and Dr. Thad were so kind and wonderful. I'm not even worried about going back to have some work done on a tooth and that's saying a lot. I would recommend them 100% to anyone looking for a dentist in Lexington.

And thoroughness of cleaning my teeth and explaining what they were do was superb! And I’ve never had anyone measure my gums to check for healthiness. I was very pleased with everything. I’ve been here for years every 6 months without ever having a negative experience. The dental hygienists are always really nice, quick and clean, and even their front desk staff is welcoming like they’re excited to see every single guest. I love this office, I hope I get to stay their patient forever!

Experiencia fantástica: Diana was my dental hygienist and was amazing! She explained everything to me and listened to every concern. I felt very comfortable and didn’t feel like I was being judged which is not a quality every office or dental employee has. I only go to the dentist when it is an emergency because I don’t like the way I end up feeling. The dentist was also amazing. He didn’t do any dental work but he sat down and talked to me and explained all of his concerns as well as his plan to fix them. I felt very welcomed by everyone in the office and I will definitely be back to keep up with my cleanings every 4 months and follow through with the treatment plans my dentistry team advised! It’s hard to find a dentist that you feel comfortable with returning to but I’m happy to say for the first time in my life I found a place I’ll happily return to! A year later and they’re still just as amazing! Dr.Thad got a treasure box for the Littles for after their visit and my 4 year old requested slinkies and bouncy balls be added. Dr.Thad smiled and said he’d get right on that. Fast forward 4 months, when my little got in the treasure box there were slinkies and bouncy balls waiting for him! After his first visit Dr.Thad wrote my him a handwritten personalized card thanking him for allowing Dr.Thad to be his first dentist. This is by far the best dentist office I have ever been to! Dr.Thad is an amazing human and he only hires staff that is just as welcoming and as genuine as he is. I have recommended this office to so many of my friends and anyone else who is looking for a new dentist!

They were able to get me in today and I was in and out in no time. They were the kindest, most caring, professional practice. I couldn’t be more excited to be a patient there. Experiencia fantástica: I have a lot of sensory/anxiety issues and haven’t been to the dentist in a long time because of those issues. My hygienist Amber was amazingly patient and compassionate. She checked to see if I needed breaks several times and explained everything throughly before doing anything. I didn’t catch the dentist’s name, but he was amazing as well. We were able to establish a plan for me to get my smile where I want it to be. When I say I hate the dentist, I mean that it is one of my top fears, but I am not afraid to go back this time and I’m actually kind of excited to get my smile fixed in such a safe space.

My hygienist took wonderful care of me and found orthodontic cement that my previous office had never noticed! I felt very attended to and left feeling and better yet knowing that I had a genuinely good teeth cleaning! Couldn’t give higher remarks!

Experiencia fantástica: Dr. Thad Schroeder is the BEST Dentist I’ve ever been too! I pay for their yearly Smile Dental Plan because I do not have dental insurance. He has such a wonderful bedside manner and makes sure you’re pain free when he does the dental work. His hygienists are Amazing too! I love the added touch of cocoa butter on your lips so they don’t get dry during dental work! Top Notch and I recommend everyone to go there!

Experiencia fantástica: OK. I’ve had some BAD experiences with dentists. Like, even going for a cleaning makes me anxious. The staff here are GREAT. They use state of the art equipment, tell you what they are doing BEFORE they do it… and all in a very friendly and family like atmosphere. I couldn’t recommend this place more highly.

Experiencia negativa: UPDATE 5 YEARS LATER: I was away from Lexington for a couple of years, and didn't see this dentist during that time. In Spring 2023, a crown fell out, and I needed a cleaning, so I called to schedule those. The initial visit resulted in a proposed treatment plan of almost $15k, involving 12 crowns. I have anxiety about dental work... something Dr. Schroeder is aware of. A hygienist relative suggested I might want to consider good dentures as an alternative to the proposed treatment, which would minimize future dental work for the rest of my life. (I'm older) I called Dr. Schroeder to ask some questions about the proposed procedure and asked if dentures were a viable alternative. The person I spoke to on the phone got quite angry when I asked, and said it was out of the question (which I accepted.) Dr. Thad then called me, made me repeat my questions, and then harshly lectured me on questioning his plan, and reminded me (several times) of his status on the KY Dental Board. (I wasn't arguing with him, or his staffer at all. I was just asking questions. Instead of getting mad, all they had to do was explain why dentures weren't a good option, and that would have settled it. But they both got furious and spoke to me like I was a horrible person for even asking.) Dr. Thad did answer my questions (in a condescending manner) about the treatment plan and I scheduled the treatment, but they cancelled it because I didn't have a "responsible adult" to accompany me (due to anesthesia. I was going to take a Lyft.). They offered no viable alternatives to anesthesia... 4-5 hours of grinding, awake, just not possible. No offer to split the treatment up into shorter sessions (could be endured with local anesth.). Then I asked if, while I looked for someone who could accompany me for the large treatment, I could go ahead and get the missing crown replaced (no anesth. needed) and schedule a cleaning. I called 3 times. First call, I got harsh and doubtful tones from reception. Got a voice message back, also in harsh tones, "Dr. Thad says I should schedule your crown replacement. Call us back." I called back 3 times. Left 3 messages...and they have never returned my call. It's very clear that they don't want me as a patient because I had the temerity to question an expensive treatment plan and ask about alternatives. They were so insulted...so incensed...and they tried to make me feel small for asking questions. They'll be happy to know that I'm going elsewhere now. Another dentist can get my $$$$$. Sad, considering the amazing review I gave them 5 years ago below. The attitude of the entire practice has changed. I no longer recommend 2018: Doctors Schroeder and their entire staff, from Dental Assistants, Hygienists, Reception, Billing, etc...are ALL wonderfully professional, pleasant and caring. Everyone is very positive and friendly. Dr. Schroeder takes the time to discuss options and answer questions. My dental issues have been handled quickly and professionally, and these folks make it easier to go see the dentist. Highly recommend

Experiencia fantástica: Not only is the dental care great, but the staff is super friendly! Dr.Thad is the most gentle dentist I've ever been to! I had to get a tooth extraction 2 days before Thanksgiving last year and thought for sure it would ruin my holiday (multiple bad experiences at other dentists). The extraction went so smoothly and I was able to eat at Thanksgiving with only the tiniest discomfort At my most recent visit I had to bring my 4 yr old along with me. They went out of their way to include him and the visit went so smoothly. I've never had a bad experience here, and I've had to get a lot of work done to my teeth ‍
