Experiencia negativa: I am writing this review to let the public know that Kristin, their manager, needs to be trained better in her people skills and communication or demoted all together. She lacks basic human compassion and is rude and nasty to people for no reason. My sister, a mom, struggling trying to get a new vehicle, took the bus to Miller rd for a appointment for one of her kids. The other child, a special needs boy who is 4, was at aba therapy in flushing. My sisters bus was late and her phone died and she went into this dentist to ask to please use the phone so that she could contact her kids center to let them know she needed him to be dropped off at a different location because her bus was late. Kristin the so called manager made her feel like complete dog crap, told her " dont think you can come back in here and use this phone again" all because she wanted to make sure her son's tech knew that she wouldn't make it home on time, which NEVER HAPPENS. My sister then asked because her phone died for her to please Google her kids aba center to give her the number because her phone died, to which she replies "see now youre asking a lot". Who says that to a mom panicking about her already scrappy situation?! Ive never in my whole life known someone who works with the public and is suppose to be a role model for others being she is a whole MANAGER. Im disgusted and I hope this company sees this and does something about this. I also hope that Kristin never finds herself in a situation where she needs help and someone treats her like that.

Experiencia negativa: On Friday the manager Kristin was beyond rude. In an emergency situation, my phone had died & i needed to get in contact with my sons school to let them know what was happening. I walked into New You Dentistry with my family & asked if they had an iPhone charger i could use because my phone had died & we needed to get in contact with my sons school. Kristin told me no, so I asked to use their phone & i apologized profusely for the inconvenience. Kristin treated me like i was below her because our bus was late, she handed me the phone and allowed me to call, all while she’s telling me this will not happen again & to NOT come back to this dentistry, i told her I don’t live in Flint that she likely wouldn’t see me again. She told me I was asking too much of her, that this isn’t her job. If you’re going to help somebody, help them, don’t sit in their face & mock them when they already feel terrible about a situation that was out of their control. I think if you’re going to work with the public, especially a Dentist Office, as the manager, you should carry a little empathy & compassion. this is my first experience with New You dentistry & honestly will be my last. If they cannot offer compassion in a time of need what makes anyone think they genuinely care about your teeth?

Experiencia negativa: My niece had a recent appointment for a surgical procedure. I am so happy she provided her feedback and experience. I wouldn't visit this facility, if it was last dental office in Flint Michigan. She was treated poorly by the Dental Technician administering treatment. My niece mentioned she was restless,rude,and impatient, during my niece's moments of discomfort. She was not empathetic nor kind. I would not recommend this place to anyone. I will make I spread the mesage too.

When you can take out four teeth in less than 10 minutes I can't see anybody better than him and never even hurt me at all. I'm 82 years old and I've been to a lot of dentists and I've never ever seen anybody better than him. Better not lose him.

Experiencia negativa: Called to confirm my appointment yesterday to keep my spot, and when I arrived today they said I never called and never left a voicemail. They also said my insurance was inactive randomly? Nothing has changed. I had to move around work hours, sitter hours and all they could say was” oh you called? Well sorry someone has your spot .

Experiencia fantástica: We moved here in July and I needed to see a periodontist. I scheduled my first appointment with New You Dental Center in November, and the experience was excellent. What really stood out was the efficiency. At my previous dental office, this same work would have been broken into three separate appointments. Here, we completed the X-rays, deep cleaning, and periodontal consultation all in one visit. I also did not have to bounce between a general dentist and a periodontist. Everything was handled in one place, which made the process incredibly convenient. The staff is friendly and professional, and the cost was very reasonable. The only thing to note is that the appointment may take longer than a typical general dentist visit, but that is because they actually get more done. If you value thorough care and efficiency, this place is worth checking out.

Experiencia negativa: First, let me say that the Front desk guy was great, The two women on the other side in the front need to be trained or just fired, they have zero customer service skills. I was supposed to come back for an emergency appointment but I just decided to find another dentist. It was a Saturday 11/22/25 and the two obviously didn’t want to work. I received nothing from them, but nasty looks and blatant disregard. Maybe they should find employment elsewhere..

Sounds like this dental office will make sure I will feel comfortable about procedures needed and feeling reassured I will not lose all my teeth and that there is hope and that I will be okay. I am very afraid of dental offices but I feel the fear will calm down and I trust this dental office knows what they need to do about teeth gums mouth and periodontal disease. Experiencia fantástica: Came in for a dental emergency. They got me in right away, even before my scheduled time. Super kind and got me taken care of and scheduled for a next appointment quickly! They told me what was going on and the plan to fix it in a way I could understand.

Experiencia negativa: DO NOT COME HERE *UPDATE* My new dentist examined and told me I had an infection from them doing a poor job cleaning which led the left over tartar to be in my gums when they did the fillings, from them overfilling which led to the overfill to be in my gums and cause pressure, and on some teeth they didn’t fill all the way which makes room for food impaction. I went to get cavities filled in September and the aftermath pain lasted longer than supposed.2 week later, I went back up there to X-ray and make sure I don’t need a root canal or that there isn’t anything more serious going on and they claim there wasn’t anything else wrong. Comes Halloween my pain comes back. I’ve taken the maximum amount of ibuprofen and it was getting worse and worse to the point it was unbearable and I had to go to the hospital just for them to tell me that I have an infection. How could a doctor tell that I have an infection and not an actual dentist. I will be finding a new dentist to take care of their mess.

Experiencia negativa: Wondering if telling your patients nothing is wrong when they’re waking wake up in the middle of the night in tears because of the pain is common practice at this office. The front desk and hygienists are awesome, very sweet and easy to work with but my partner has been to this office twice in two days because of pain and both times they’ve dismissed him telling him nothing is wrong. This is the 3rd night he’s woken up in the middle of the night in unbearable pain and a swollen face and the dentist did absolutely nothing to help him. This is unacceptable.

The receptionist was friendly, knowledgeable and helped to create a positive overall experience. I had two small cavities and Dr. Hamzad Syed did a totally professional job. Extremely friendly with charm and humor, this young doctor made the usual 'Visit to the Dentist' a most positive experience. His bed-side manner is most refreshing especially when going for most individuals that 'dreaded visit to the dentist' who will 'fill people with good things!' His procedures in giving this individual the anti-pain medication before the procedure was indeed 99% pain free. As a graduate of Detroit Mercy College, Detroit, Michigan, and completing graduate work with another four years, at the College of Graduate Dentistry, Wayne State University, Detroit, he brings with eight years experience plus years working as a professional dentist elsewhere, the latest procedures found in Oral Medicine. He was assisted by Shelley who was a delight in conversation as well as assisting Dr. Syed; furthermore, they both worked as a united team in accomplishing the work which was required in this oral procedure. Questions were answered and replied in a total professional manner and this client always felt totally at ease and the professional concern about this client's well-being was always paramount in all dealings with both of these professionals. Flint as a community is fortunate to have this clinic available in a easy location found on Miller Road. The atmosphere of the offices are open and extremely well lite and the openness of the main procedures area is most positive to the eye itself.

Experiencia negativa: Very clean and was quickly in and out, but I am still day after in a lot of pain from my cleaning. Can’t remember ladies name but she was not gentle by any means. And the Dentist looked at my x rays for like 2 seconds, looked around my mouth and tapped my teeth a few times and said no cavities, good to go. Even though last time I was there they tried to extract my wisdom teeth. I don’t know if I’ll be back to be honest.

The day of my appointment they called me 30 minutes before my appointment time to tell me they don’t accept it. Experiencia fantástica: Brought my boys here as new patients. The check in process was easy, no unnecessary forms attached. Simple patient information form. The Receptionist was very friendly and professional over the phone and in person. The appointment was fairly quick. We got there at 9 and were sent on our way about 9:45. I didn’t go back because my boys are teens so, I liked that the dental hygienist walked them out to me and explained how everything went and what they saw and gave follow up tips and recommendations. Great job!

I have a issue, i go in dr z oral gels me then in 2 seconds shoves the needle in to numb me i afelt the whole thing. Then the girl litterly choked me with the water. Abd i shot up outta my chair and started gagging. People matter. I knew something was wrong with my tooth for the last few years. They made me feel like i was faking it. They didnt clean out the canal all the way!!! And there was cement in there thats why ive had a feeling like something was in there. .. people matter brent. People matter. God bless you.

Experiencia negativa: I've only been here twice, my first experience was alright. I had a crown and filling done and everything went okay. My 2nd visit on the other hand was terrible. My 2nd visit was my cleaning. The lady I had wasn't very friendly and she reeked of cigarette smoke. She did not do a thorough job AT ALL. She spent maybe 10 minutes tops on everything. I've never had a dental cleaning that short ever. She was also rough on my teeth. I don't think I would have seen the dentist either if it wasn't for the concern I had. I had a concern with the filling he did which he looked at but I still think it's a concern. His response wasn't addressing it well I felt. He also didn't even check over her work! The dentist is supposed to do an exam as well afterwards. Plus the place itself isn't the cleanest inside... And another thing I noticed is I wasn't given a complimentary toothbrush, floss, and toothpaste like every other place I've been to has given out. I hate having to complain but my experience was very disappointing.

Experiencia negativa: I don't usually write negative reviews, but my experience getting my wisdom teeth removed was awful. I had to come back three times and I live 55 minutes away. The first visit was for my left side, but I had an anxiety attack, and the dentist seemed frustrated and sounding angry told me to calm down. Since I couldn’t calm down quickly, I had to return for the right side. The second time, I took medication that they prescribed me to help calm me down and on arrival I was already feeling loopy. I needed my mother’s support to walk. I apparently needed an x-ray before they could do the right side. My mom asked if they could help support me while I walked to the x-ray machine and the person taking me said of course then the person just told me to follow her and didn’t help at all. After the x-rays, they said they couldn’t do the right side because the tooth was too far up, which I found frustrating since they didn’t do the x-ray during the first visit. They told me to come back in a year. I came back last week for the right side and took the same medication an hour before and again when arriving. The assistant was amazing and comforting, and she is the only reason I’m giving the review two stars. I had another anxiety attack, and the dentist was frustrated and like before kept telling me to stop moving. I understand that I needed to stop moving but I physically couldn’t unless I could calm down. The way the dentist reacted wasn’t professional and made me uncomfortable. As a dentist you should have at least a little compassion for patients who are freaking out. Just because this might be a daily routine for you, doesn’t mean that it is for the patient. People aren’t constantly getting their wisdom teeth out to know how they’re going to react.

Experiencia fantástica: I was recommend to come to this place by a friend and I regret not coming here sooner. My last dentist office was ridiculously expensive and I never had things explained to me well and I felt not cared for. I came to this place for a second opinion and I felt that the dentist was very caring and truthful with me. The prices are great compared to my last place. All of the staff are so friendly and just make it a good experience everytime. The dentist also always explains everything to me. Highly recommend to come to this dentist office.

Experiencia fantástica: I had brigework done on my top front teeth a few years ago. The dentist was thorough, caring, and gentle. He did an excellent job sculpting my new permanent teeth. They look natural and are the strongest teeth I've got. I appreciate this place and recommend it for sure! Recently they did an in depth exam and came up with a plan to fix my teeth that are severely damaged. Thank you so much, New You Dental!

Worst dentist around the people are so rude and smell like weed. So unprofessional I was in there for hours and still never finished or even partially started what they were supposed to do. Experiencia negativa: Called at 2:20 pm on Monday May 19th 2025 and was told by a gentleman we could be seen at 4pm on Tuesday May 20th for an exam to see if they could even help, only to be told once we got there that they had no such appointment on the books.

Experiencia positiva: I got a fill in while I was pregnant they messed it up. I didn’t want to go back until after I had the baby since my teeth were super sensitive for a long time after the procedure. Teeth became super sensitive to cold anything I have to grab the side of my mouth. I went back during my next scheduled cleaning and let them know about the fill in and my teeth sensitivity. The doc that did it came to me to look at it and said it looks life and put a black sheet in there telling me to bite down the same black sheet thing from the fill in like that was gonna do something then tell me they look fine and suggested I use sensodyne toothpaste like my issue is from natural causes and not a faulty fill smh. So now I’m gonna start looking for another dentist off. Plus I always get weird vibes about the “rainbow” guy at the front desk and always feel like he’s being snarky anyway. My hygienist is always nice and helpful. When I was pregnant she let me know about the RX Kids program to help me out. I wouldn’t have known about the program if it wasn’t for her.

Experiencia negativa: I used to have a 5 star review. Not anymore. Went in for a cleaning and a filling they did a couple year ago broke off during it. They denied it was that filling. The next appointment I had 2 fillings. They fixed the one that had broken but drilled the top one to the lowest point and filled it. I didn't know how low it was till after the numbiness wore off. I can't eat on that side at all right now. When i eat on that side, the pain shoots up in cheek and hurts for a really long time. I can't go back cause i dont trust them at all. Went in with no pain now 2 appointments in, and i have the worst mouth pain I've ever had.

The Dentist are on top of everything working together to get things done no waiting 3 months for an appointment. Being afraid of the dentist, the staff here understand and even work to make me feel comfortable. And not like other places they will NOT write a review for you. Had an appointment at 4 but walked in at the same time as someone without an appointment and they took the walk in before us, making us wait an extra half hour. Refereed us to oral surgeon but assured us that they could take out the wisdom teeth themselves. When we called to make appointment about wisdom teeth they told us that they can’t do it and will send out referral for us to someone else (after telling us they could take them out the day before). After a few days we call to see what’s taking so long with referral and they tell us they never sent out a referral. After we voiced our frustration they said “actually we did send it out”. It’s been almost two weeks and still haven’t heard anything, called today and they couldn’t tell me anything. I would go somewhere else if I were you. Also did a very lazy job with the teeth cleaning.

Experiencia fantástica: They were quick getting me in for a consultation. A slot opened up and I was quickly in for the first half of my extractions. Both appointments for extractions went much better than I could have ever thought of. I'm still waiting for my gums to heal for impressions and dentures.

Experiencia negativa: If you are just doing cleanings, this place is fine. However, I would NOT recommend getting any major work done here. I had a root canal and it was done incorrectly and failed. They filled the root canal without cleaning out the decay. This eventually led to me having to get the tooth extracted because it could not be saved because of what they did. Lots of horror stories heard from friends & family from here. Stay away from large corporate dental!!

Experiencia negativa: My friend referred me to this place and this was my first appointment and it went great everyone was so nice. I scheduled my second appointment for my next cleaning and meanwhile I’m not living in flint anymore I moved to GR SO IM TRAVELING TO FLINT JUST TO SEE THIS DENTIST. I received a reminder text to confirm my appointment I responded back with a C to confirm like what was asked in the message. So of course I assumed my appointment was all set month later my appointment came I drove all the way to Flint for my appointment I even arrived early and all just to find out they cancelled my appointment and I was told by a guy at the front desk that they cancel appointments of patients that they don’t know, if they feel like the patient is not going to show up. SO they assumed I was not going to show up my appointment and he said that it was either one of the two ladies who work the front along with him who deleted the appointment and that they left early for the day due to an emergency. So I was not able to confirm if they were the ones to delete my appointment for no reason when I had proof of me confirming my appointment. The guy pleaded that I didn’t make a bad review but I definitely had to because that was very unprofessional to cancel my appointment and giving it to some walk in that came in before me not giving me any call to see if I’m coming or anything. And I’m MAD especially because I am coming from Grand Rapids that’s not a 5-10 min drive y’all wasted my time!!!!

Despite confirming the correct phone number during previous visits, appointment reminders were sent to the wrong number. When this caused a missed confirmation, the staff blamed me for the oversight and rescheduled my appointment for weeks later, with little regard for the inconvenience. Additionally, the way patients are treated when they have dental issues is disheartening. There’s a noticeable lack of compassion, and it often feels judgmental—regardless of whether you’re prepared to address the issues financially. While the quality of dental care may be adequate, the unprofessional and dismissive attitude of the staff makes it hard to recommend this office.

I feel so safe and at home, as if my own family were helping me. Please come here, especially if you have Delta dental. I am straight vibing and I don't have two nerves that were there five minutes ago

Experiencia negativa: I am allowed a cleaning every six months and one day. It is a luxury for me to get my teeth cleaned. The hygienist nicked my gums a few times with the tool, ouch! And she finished the cleaning in under 20 minutes. I feel ripped off.

Experiencia fantástica: I am always hesitant about going to the dentist because my nerves always get the best of me!! Everyone here did an excellent job of making me feel comfortable and welcome!! From the staff in the front to the workers in back and the dentist himself!! I would highly recommend them. And will continue getting any and all work done here in the future! Was also very clean!!

Experiencia negativa: The do tor was good the lady who worked on all 4 of my kids was horrible. So bad we are looking for a different dentist. 2 of my kids were crying.

Experiencia negativa: The scheduling staff is horrible, made an appointment and no one seems to have me down for the correct day. I showed up at two different times and they didn’t have me down. Front desk staff were not friendly at all. I was told by several people not to go to them prior.

Experiencia fantástica: I have been going to New You Dental Center for years for general care and several procedures. I also brought my mother for denture replacement. She also had good experiences. Her new dentures have served her well.

The doctor is amazing he helped me alot with my tooth pain. And he told stories while he worked which helped distract me.
