Experiencia negativa: If I could give negative stars that would be extremely generous. Absolutely worst dental experience. I even gave multiple visits to see if maybe it was just an off day. The staff are Absolutely rude. Wait time is ridiculous. But more than that, they take away your choice of treatment. If the dentist makes a "recommendation", you either have to comply with the recommendation or they refuse all treatments (including regular cleaning) and tell you to "go to another dental office". By the way, that's a direct quote. Im not even talking about necessary treatment recommendations. Im talking about non necessary If you dont have this treatment done it "might lead to" or "may cause in the future" kinds of treatment. When did dentists' opinions become absolute law. What about the patients right to make an informed choice? This dental office's main concern is not it's patient's health and welfare, it's ONLY concern is getting more money. Im sure sheep get better treatment. Do not go here

My experience with Dr Jesse Felema and his assistant Sandra Rodriguez has been awesome, I was hesitant, because I've always been afraid of dentist...Dr Jesse really put me at ease, very kind, very knowledgeable..He really let me know that everything will be OK and I take everything at my speed...That first day I felt very comfortable, and I was not anxious upon going in... I wanted to let you know what great staff these two are to all of the public...Everyone I know get brilliant recommendations to Deseet Dental...Miguel at Smile Pro, is wonderful brilliant also, he also went the extra mile to help me to make sure my upper denture was what I wanted... Experiencia negativa: Wait time was ridiculous.The treatment coordinator couldn’t explain my mom’s treatment plan. I was asking questions, and she even said she didn’t know how to explain it. Unprofessional.

Experiencia negativa: I waited over an hour for a scheduled hygiene appointment, only to have no cleaning done at all. Instead, they performed an exam and then tried to route me to their financing department to upsell a cleaning and cavity filling- something I could have paid for outright from the start… This felt deceptive and like a bait-and-switch. Dental offices should not be run like car dealerships. I wasted a significant amount of time and ultimately walked out. I will not be returning and do not recommend this practice. UPDATE: this place quoted me and my fiancé thousands of dollars for just a cleaning- said I had three cavities and wouldn’t clean my teeth on the day I had come in.. I went to a trusted family dentist who cleaned my teeth, did x-rays (because desert dental wouldn’t send me the ones they took), and did an exam all for $239 all on the same day as a new patient. To my surprise, I have 0 cavities and my x-rays look perfect! Desert dental just wanted to drill into my mouth for money. Truly disgusting.

Experiencia negativa: Had a really nice experience with the dentists and staff. The reason I gave it a 2 star is when I had to do my consultation with how much my treatment cost, the lady that deals with insurance was very rude towards me. She made me feel super pressured. My treatment would cost 12k and she made it seem like that was pocket money. I don’t know how someone could afford to just take it out. I wish she was a bit more understanding. Additionally when she noticed that only a portion of my treatment would be covered she said “she would adjust the price” like she knew they were adding unnecessary things. I just wanted to get my toothache fixed. I don’t understand how I have to get a 1.8k cleaning done before I can do that. Other than that, dentist and front office staff were great! Still in lots of pain, they couldn’t even give me a prescription for that.

Experiencia negativa: Clinic scheduled my son in as a walk-in due to severe tooth pain. While they did take X-rays and prescribe painkillers, we were sent home and told the earliest available appointment would be in three weeks for his treatment. I followed up the very next day, hoping they could see him sooner given his ongoing pain. Instead, I was told to take him to urgent care because they had no availability. I was shocked by the lack of compassion or urgency — especially for a child clearly in distress. Dental clinics should be better prepared to handle urgent cases. My son has been seeing their orthodontist for over three years, and I expected a much higher standard of care and consideration. Sadly, we will not be returning.

Experiencia fantástica: I love the children's office. I've never had to wait long in the front or back. The dentist and the rest of the staff is always friendly and explains everything.

Experiencia negativa: They didn’t clean my root canal tooth prior to doing the procedure and when I confronted them about it, they lied to my face saying they cleaned it, but really they only patted it dry! They overcharge you like crazy and give you unnecessary things that you do not need watch out for this place.

Experiencia negativa: Place is a joke! This is about the 4th dental office I've been to in the high desert in the last 3 months and they are all the same! Incompetent with kids who don't want to work. They call me literally 1 day before my appt at 4pm to let me know they can't verify insurance. I told them to run my wife's info because im the dependent. The girl wouldn't do it! She said it should still come up with my info. That's not the way it works, you have to look up the subscribers info! They put it back on me so I just said I'd find another dental office and hung up. I called my insurance and they called and spoke with the dental office and appeared to fix everything and faxed over proof of coverage and the schedule of fees. The office informed them my appt was fine and I was good to go. I come in the next day at 10am, take time off from work and drive all the way from south Hesperia and they cancel the appt! The girl said its because I hung up the day before and the girl who verifies insurance said she didnt know if I was going to come. But yet they tell me they did speak with the insurance and they can squeeze me in but it would be a long wait because there are others who had appts at 10am. But I had an appt at 10am too and you already spoke to the insurance! How else do you think they called you, by magic? Because you don't know how to look up insurance I get screwed and have to take a loss with work? Not cool! I wonder now if I will ever find a competent office that's not overly booked with competent employees! There were about 50 people in there waiting to be seen. I can't even make it into the chair and get evaluated and I'm in so much pain! Stay away from this place.

Experiencia negativa: This place is an upsell galore. My wife and I have the same insurance but different dentist offices. Her quote here is $250 per filling, and a $700 antibiotics shot. My dentist follows the DeltaCare or Delta Dental Explanation of benefits where my cost is $0 out of pocket. A family member also was up sold a bunch on their treatments here.

Experiencia negativa: This place is terrible. I've tried making appointments for my daughter like 4 different time. And every time they call me back saying she needs to be assigned to different suite. Every lady I've spoken to always says something different. My insurance tells me that they speak directly to this office and everything is set ready to go but the day before my appointments all of a sudden I'm not assigned to the correct address. Totally unprofessional this place needs to get their act together. 1 lady tells me to assign my daughter to suite A another tells suite B and now today I'm told she should be in suite C. I asked to speak to a manager and guess what the manager isn't present. What a coincidence. Worst service I've ever had.

Experiencia negativa: Given anesthesia I didn’t even need — now dealing with swelling and no answers” I came in for a dental visit and was given injections of local anesthesia without being told they were necessary — and turns out, I didn’t even need them. Right after the visit, I developed noticeable swelling on my face where the injection was given. What’s worse is there was no clear explanation before or after the procedure, and no aftercare guidance at all. Now I’m left dealing with unnecessary discomfort and facial swelling for something that could’ve been avoided entirely. This experience was careless and unprofessional. If you value proper communication and patient respect, I’d seriously reconsider going here.

Experiencia fantástica: After struggling to find a better dentist where I live in lake Elsinore, I decided to go back to Dr Felema, and I don’t regret it at all, from being told that I had decay between two of my teeth but they wouldn’t show me my X-rays was sketchy, I had a great experience here, nothing but an honest and professional team, especially Keenan (I think was his name) that took my X-rays, he was SUPER helpful and it was exciting to see someone have such a positive outlook for their future and what they want to do in life in the dental field to have a positive impact on others. I will be returning, it’s worth the 1.5 hour drive ‍↔️‍↔️

Experiencia fantástica: I really enjoyed my visit to Desert Dental. The staff was very engaged when I arrived. My diagnosis was well explained to me, as well as the treatment that was needed. I was carefully walked through all of the care that was to be given to me. I was well informed that all of the surgeon and specialist we’re engaged with me asking questions about my well-being making sure that I was comfortable and understood procedure to be performed so I would recommend Desert dental to anyone needing dental care and I must state again that the staff was very professional and engaging in my needs and concerns. Experiencia negativa: Friendly and kind staff. Unfortunately i was very disappointed in their way of trying to up sale their service. I was seen by one DDS Who said that they were able to do the work I needed. When insurance approved work, I was seen by a different DDM. Who said that my tooth was going to need extra tools and extra medication for her to perform my root canal but this doctor had never seen my tooth at all. Apparently they have different doctors that come in on random days. One of their sales reps tried telling me that they had informed me of this on a previous visit. They did not. What the other doctor said was that not all root canals are 100 percent successful if you dont keep up with your dental hygiene and routine dental visits that it was possible for me to have pain in the future. I understood this. What I didn't understand and appreciate was when the second DDS came in fast talking saying that in order for her to do a good job that they were going to charge me more out of pocket per tooth. Lack of funds is not the issue here. I understand that tooth calcification can be seen through an ex ray but why not already charge the insurance before hand instead of telling this to a patient with a dental phobia on the day of surgery. Why waste customers valuable time for your incompetent sales strategy. I personally told them at that point that I had lost all confidence in them and that I did not wish to continue with my surgery. It may have been a minor surgical procedure for them but it was a big deal for me. To this day I have not heard from their office, they know what they did, which was nothing positive for me.

Experiencia negativa: This dental office never fails to insist on further tests. One after another while implying “insurance won’t cover this, that, and the third”. It’s always something right after the other. My family and I were patients for years, and I’ve about had enough of them taking advantage.

Experiencia negativa: Front staff super nice ! I was on time had my paperwork filled out 1hour and 44 mins went by and still hadn’t seen the dentist , no one came by and said hey dentist is here just working on a patient anything totally felt forgotten about for a person with extreme dental anxiety it was over whelming and disheartening! The dental hygienist seemed very kind and willing to answer questions just from that experience I would highly suggest to go see her for teeth clean, even though she never cleaned my teeth, but she just gave the attention where the attention was deserved. I understand everybody gets busy and we all fall behind, but a simple pop in of we are still here would have been just Courteous. I gave a 2 star because of the front desk and the hygienist .

Experiencia negativa: I had an appointment with Dr Carol. And during the appointment I mentioned that I had an extreme phobia of dentists and she chuckled. Not once but twice. After she offered me the options and I explained my hesitation and see if there was other options instead of talking to me and explaining that this is what has to happen she simply got up dismissed me and told her assistant the treatment plan. Not a doctor that I want to do business with in fact I was looking for a new doctor but will now rather drive the two hours to my old dentist than deal with this kind of dismissive behavior

Experiencia negativa: Despite me being treated and referred by another dentist for my root canals, the dentist was insistent on applying an "ice test" where he literally shoved ice directly on the exposed nerves. I knew exactly what teeth needed root canals from my previous dentist visits but that wasn't good enough for him. Safe to say, it was absolutely excruciating pain for absolute no reason.

Not here. Second, I've been treated so kindly about my lack of dental care on and off over the years, as well as just in general. Third, they are GOOD and thorough. The facilty is clean, bright, and open. Everyone I've encountered seems genuinely happy to work here. And they take it seriously. I have had anxiety about the dentist in the past, but I've felt at ease at each visit. Genuinely appreciate the amazing experience and help.

Experiencia fantástica: Been struggling with a broken and infected wisdom tooth, so I scheduled an appointment but just couldn't wait another week due to pain. I went in as a walk in, arrived a little after 4, explained what is going on, and was taken immediately back for xrays and exam. I was completely done by 4:40 and ready to go pick up the prescription the dentist sent over for me. I finally was able to get some sleep last night, after starting the meds and I'm just so grateful they got me in so quickly and helped me without judging Thank you Desert Dental!!

I will never be returning here again. Wasted over a year of my time going here and I’m leaving absolutely devastated. All they want is your money. You’re better looking somewhere else.

Experiencia negativa: In my experience, this place was a waste of time and money. I didn’t feel like I was taken seriously, and the environment wasn’t comfortable. If a patient isn’t liked for whatever reason and the job isn’t done efficiently, it makes me question why this place even exists. I’ve decided to go back to where I used to go because they’re much quicker and get the work done well.

And I heard another patient say that they feel like they're in a long-distance relationship with them and that they're feels so comfortable with them. And I agree with that person because I feel so comfortable with that dentist. I actually fell asleep in the dentistry as they were doing work and I used to stress out going to the dentist and getting work done cuz I've had trauma before but this dentist does not give me any trauma. Experiencia positiva: I started going to this clinic in about 2001. When my favorite dentist left to start his own practice (about 8 or 9 years ago, I started going to his clinic. He has retired so I returned to this clinic. Of course I didn’t recognize anyone. The old gang was gone. But everyone was kind and professional. When the dentist finally entered the room, she did not speak or introduce herself. She just sat down, started reading my paperwork, and asking me questions. I was not impressed with her entry but I will return and see how it all plays out. I’ve been to other dentists in the high desert. This one was the best for me.

Experiencia negativa: Everyone was very friendly starting from the front desk. The waiting time was not long at all period. Felt like they did a thorough checkup . They explained everything to me. Very happy I found this dental office. I feel very confident and getting work done with them. That being said... I was very disappointed with the periodontist . Paid a 150.00. to get some X. Rays to see if I had enough bone to get implants. Then he asked for 300.00 stating he saw something on my lower jaw bone that he couldn't explain unless he did another x. Ray. When I asked him to elaborate, he started fast talking and then went on to another patient. I actually thought he was coming back. He definitely left me with unanswered questions. Within the past 10 years, I've had many X. Rays and never been told that they saw something unexplainable that needed extra x rays

Experiencia negativa: If possible to give no stars I would. Went in to get a quote to remove my back molar as the first visit said it would be around 38-68 dollars each. After them charging me 300 dollars for x rays before giving me any more information even though I have my insurance.

Experiencia positiva: it was good, my teeth feel cleaner and they found out the problem of my tooth ache but if I made a sound of discomfort or flinched or raised my left hand, you think that would mean that that area is sensitive and hurts when they go over it with the water pressure?

Kids had braces we have had teeth work for years but after new ownership it went down hill Long waits appointment time was at one time am shad to wait one hour on the chair for the dentist to home see me new dentist new hygienist people keep changing. It’s like I see someone new every time I come. They can’t keep employees probably pay issues. I need to find a new dentist I the high desert.i would not recommend anyone to come here

Experiencia fantástica: I am the WORST patient, I’m terrified of the dentist from childhood traumatic experience and I’ve worked in dentistry for over 20 years so I’m not a dental office favorite by any means. That being said going to my new dentist today for the first time my expectations were low and my defense was on high. The young lady that took my X-rays was freaking FANTASTIC I’ve never had X-rays taken that I wasn’t struggling in pain or where the tech didn’t get frustrated with me. So thank you young lady. The dentist was lovely and got to the point, the news wasn’t anything I prepared for so I got a little emotional. The young man whose name has slipped from memory but I will never forget him. He stayed with me for a good 20 minutes talking options with me and handled my emotional breakdown like a champ. He was my shining star today. Kudos to his momma or wife because he knew what needed to be said and I left with a smile on my face a sense of hope. Thank you to all the staff there even if I didn’t mention you I am well aware that it takes all of you to make it possible for one employee to spend a little extra time with one patient. ️

I will be changing my assigned dentist because I will not deal with the rude incompetent front staff. It's ridiculous to be honest. Do NOT go here (seriously). Get care some where else.

Dr Carol switched my ugly silver filling to a white filling, I had no pain or discomfort at all!!!! The xray tech Victoria took my X-rays in like 2 minutes and did not make me gag. It’s like going to Disneyland

The dentist was excellent. My oldest liked that the dentist was not rough with her & my second oldest very happy. My 2 younger daughters couldn't be seen on the same day, but they have an appointment coming soon & they are very excited to see the dentist.

Experiencia negativa: This was the worst, most disgusting dental experience ever. The exam office was filthy, drip stains on the equipment, dust accumulated in the corners and just under the arm rest, I swear.....boogers. at least, that's what they looked like to me. To top it off, when the doctor came in to see me, she didn't even wipe her mask from the previous patient. I could see plaque and spit splatter all over her mask as she's in my face talking to me. When I walked out, I nearly threw up. This was so disgusting. Clean it up people.

Experiencia negativa: I scheduled an appointment through a referral from orthodontics in the same plaza. I had my referral and scheduled surgery. Appt day arrives and they did not have my insurance information ready, or have the surgery scheduled. My appt time was at 9:30. Waited in the waited area until 10:30 to be called. Dr calls us back and tells me we’re there for a consult. None of this was said by the front desk. I scheduled oral surgery with a referral. Dentist was nice but the front office was TERRIBLE. When I asked why no one explained anything to me about this I was brushed off with an unprofessional ‘this is the process’ by the front office staff. The dentist then said they will see my son for surgery after all. All in all the visit lasted 4 hours while being given the run around and wasting our time. I would not recommend this office to anyone! Front office is unprofessional, disorganized and zero customer service skills. Dentist was nice but if you have delta dental insurance I would recommend looking elsewhere that the staff will value your time and be courteous and professional.

Experiencia fantástica: I have been loyal to this dentistry for the five years I lived in Victorville, and the three years since I moved. I will continue to travel to this dentist office because of the gentle care I receive there. I lost some of my teeth due to complications with kidney failure and this dentist office as been able to restore my gum health, help with further tooth loss, and put in place a great plan for future preventative care with laser gum treatments, regular deep cleanings, and quarterly regular cleanings with care and a gentle touch. If you have sensitive teeth I highly recommended this office as well as I have very sensitive teeth and do not experience discomfort during my visits.

Went in for a root canal for a tooth that was decaying and in pain, and was so nervous because of the horror stories I've heard about root canals in general. I felt absolutely ZERO pain with my dentist. Even when he said I'd feel a pinch, I felt nothing. I was warned that it might be sore for a few days after: not the case at all! After the anesthesia wore off, it felt like any other tooth in my mouth. Dr. Vongphoe and his assistants Sharon and Sydney were nothing but professional and courteous to me. Experiencia fantástica: I have a phobia of the dentist and waited too long to take care of a cavity. The cavity resulted in the partial loss of a tooth which prompted an emergency visit to the dentist. I communicated to staff how reluctant I was to come due to past experiences and my fear and the staff took extra care of me. They held my hand at every step, fully explained every necessary procedure, cost, timeline to me. Even told me what to expect during the needed procedures so that any discomfort I may have felt was anticipated. If you’re like me and avoid the dentist at all costs, these guys took great care of my needs and fears. Discomfort was minimal and they were quick. I’d recommend these folks to anyone. Dr. Felema is a talented, kind and patient dentist and made my smile bright again. :)

Experiencia fantástica: Other than the fact I had to get a root canal and 4 crowns, never fun, my visit was very enjoyable. The staff were very friendly, patient, polite and professional. I loved the waiting room. Felt like a living room. Janet and Brenda were A1 in service and make me feel comfortable. Sandra was great at laughing at my jokes and her ‘matronly’ approach to her job. Dr Show did a great job to a patient that feels pain just thinking about a needle, drill and all that goes with it. Love this place. Happy New Year to all.

Experiencia fantástica: My best dental experience in America, From the moment I walked in I was greeted very politely by the front staff, felt very welcoming. Dr. Felema did my dental exam he made sure I understood about the procedures I’ll be having, Gina helped me out with great financing options with no interest. The very next day I was scheduled for my cleaning and I was seen by Katie the hygienist, I had 0 discomfort and she explained every step of the procedure. On the way out I had the honor to meet the office manager Sandy which was extremely genuine she helped me out with some questions and made sure everything was answered before I left. Thank you Desert Dental Group for making me feel like family.

Experiencia fantástica: Very Busy but Very Professional. I lost a crown. After an exam, They explained the issues with my tooth. Recommended the best course of action. Provided loan services to pay for the medical procedures and operated the same day. Please try to go before 2pm. I arrived at 1pm with 2 people in the lobby. Around 430pm there was 15 -25 people waiting for service.

Experiencia negativa: Had a wisdom tooth pulled around 9 am and was waiting on the prescription for pain and amoxicillin for 5 hours. Was advised that the prescription was sent to the wrong pharmacy. Tried to get it rectified as I was in pain. Went home and took Tylenol while I waited for doctors office and pharmacy to come to terms.

She Had A COVID Mask With The Ventilator , Is What I Was Looking At , Her Dental Assistant Chimed In Saying “ Yeah You Starring Her Up And Down “ Rude And Unprofessional , I Said Hello Anyway , Not Once Did She Smile Or Look In My Direction, Needless To Say , I Will Not Be Returning To That Office!!!!!

Experiencia negativa: This place is a scam. First, each person I saw (for the same tooth) had a different idea of what was supposed to be done. Then they financed $3500 of dental work that THEY NEVER DID. When I asked them to cancel contract and refund deposit when I left with nothing done, they said ok no problem, it'll be done by EOD & I'd get an email. When I never got an email, everytime I called to ask, they said the same thing. But they never did it. So now, I'm being direct debited by Sunbit every month for work they never even started. Complaint filed with Sunbit, but takes weeks to process. And can anyone explain how 1 bad tooth, with 2 dental insurances, creates a bill that was $3500?! THIS PLACE SHOULD BE SHUT DOWN!

PLACE is clean, personnell that worked on my teeth were empathetic, attentive, and very profesional. Painless, Dr concerned and very clear to raise my left hand if i needed him to stop, or concerned if I had pain. Im Honestly am amazed. I feel that on my next apt i will not be nervouse, or ancy. I would recommend HDD to friends and family. The team was very professional examining and providing solutions by priority scheduling appointments and making payments, as well as the dentist providing detail explanation of what needed to be done moving forward. I’m very pleased with the staff and service.
