Experiencia fantástica: The staff is great. They do a good job and care about their patients. I have no complaints about coming here. Laurel, especially, is wonderful.
Thank you for your kind words! We strive to ensure we provide a safe and caring environment for all our patients.
Experiencia fantástica: I’m eternally grateful in finding North Aurora Smiles and it will be my go to place for all mouth related issues and checkups. Dr. Aziz is clearly one of the best possible one could have for their ortho needs. He is patient and answers whatever concerns you have and provides an honest picture in possibilities. He’s also very well versed on new procedures which may be available and has the vision of what that will look like for you. I ask a lot of questions and everyone is above and beyond accommodating. I’m definitely recommending people I know to go here. I would rate the staff and Dr. Aziz much more than 5 stars if I could and I don’t think I’ve ever felt more comfortable having my teeth and what’s inside my mouth worked on than I do with North Aurora Smiles!
Thank you for your feedback! We are always happy to explain procedures and answer any questions whilst making appointments as pleasant and comfortable as possible.

Laurel was great! My dental care was another wonderful experience. Dr. Janes is also an excellent resource and dentist, to work with. She is gentle and kind. They are a great team.

Experiencia negativa: My daughter is an existing patient at this practice. I recently called to schedule an appointment for a cleaning (and we have insurance). They charged me a deposit fee of $75 in order to make this appointment. I find this very unprofessional and I have never been asked of this by this office or any medical care office in the past. After her upcoming services, I will not be returning.
We appreciate you taking the time to leave a review. Our deposit policy applies to certain appointments and is communicated in multiple ways prior to scheduling. This approach is consistent with many healthcare and service-based businesses. We understand this may not meet everyone’s expectations and value your feedback.

Experiencia fantástica: I am unsure where to even begin. I have had numerous incredible experiences at North Aurora Smiles thanks to Dr. Aziz and Lexi, as well as the courteous, professional and accommodating front desk staff. I used to have a certifiable fear and phobia with dentistry after having been previously traumatized by another dentist performing procedures on me that an oral surgeon should have. It took me seven years to finally find North Aurora Smiles and I was so fearful. My fear was met with a patient doctor and staff that instantly put me at ease. I have since had multiple procedures and even referred elsewhere for a root canal that was also a breeze. I am so grateful and relieved that dental fears are long behind me! I feel confident in my smile and feel even better knowing my teeth are healthy! Thank you Dr. Aziz!
Thank you for your feedback. Our team members are delighted to hear your comments, and we are pleased to provide valued services.

Jackie and Debbie always make me feel welcome the moment I walk in, and Dr. Aziz has been amazing at focusing on real, long-term dental health instead of just quick fixes. They’ve put me on the road to recovery, and for the first time, I actually feel positive about my dental visits.

Experiencia fantástica: My experience was fantastic. I never look forward to going to the dentist but Tammy is the hygienist that cleans my teeth and she’s awesome. She puts me at ease, it’s a comfortable experience. The office is super clean and the staff are all very helpful and attentive. I personally drive a good distance because I used to live in North Aurora and now that I’ve moved it’s still the best place so that makes it worth it for me to travel. I would recommend anyone who can go there to do that.

Experiencia fantástica: My dentist of over 20 years retired and this was my first time having a new dental hygienist since 2001! I was very nervous as I have some issues with my teeth. I explained my concerns to Laurel and she was compassionate and understanding. She explained everything she’d be doing and answered all my questions. I made the right choice when I switched dentists! Thanks, Laurel!!

Experiencia negativa: Very deceptive practices. Was told I needed a treatment plan to get back to healthy status for my gums and teeth. Was given several appointments for upper cleaning and a lower cleaning. Then was told they would check for insurance to cover. Never confirmed. Receieved a huge bill. Okay, my fault for agreeing to it. Then was told to come in for another cleaning. I told them to wait until my insurance confirms. They said that could take weeks to confirm and it was best to come in to avoid missing out on the schedule. I call my insurance directly. They sent the pre approval to the office already with costs. I called back the office asking if they had any estimate of costs. They said no. I asked for my files from the place and ran. Will not be back and will always tell others to avoid whenever it's mentioned. As for the treatment plan, I've been to another dentist since then. They've mentioned how my gums and teeth are healthy now and all it took was better habbits such as regular flossing, mouthwash, ACT mouthwash, daily brushing teeth, and massaging the gums. Update: Owner response below. In response to their comment, the issue was not just the treatment plan but the fact that your staff attempted to manipulate a patient to follow through with a treatment by using pressure of missing out on a schedule. Also, hiding the fact that the costs were received from insurance with a pre approval and not divulging that information to the patient. Instead of covering yourself, admit to the poor practice and state that you've disciplined your employee (fired perhaps) and are going to do something to never have that happen again to future patients.
Thank you for sharing your experience. We strive to provide clear communication and high-quality care to all of our patients, so we're sorry to hear about your concerns. To address your feedback, we want to clarify that treatment recommendations are always based on clinical findings and evidence of need. We do not perform any procedures unless they are medically necessary. Regarding insurance, we work diligently to verify coverage and provide estimates based on the information provided by insurance companies. However, insurance plans are the ones that determine their reimbursement rates, which may result in balances that are not fully covered. We encourage our patients to reach out directly to discuss any questions or concerns, as we’re committed to ensuring clarity and transparency in all aspects of care. If you'd like to discuss this matter further, please don’t hesitate to contact us directly. We wish you the best in your oral health journey and appreciate your feedback as an opportunity to improve.
