She is an incredible orthodontist with a wealth of experience working on complex cases, and although the problems I was facing were affecting my teeth and jaw simultaneously, Dr. Quo was able to figure out a path forward in my care. She paid significant attention to ensuring that my breathing and airway were protected while I was undergoing treatment, and referred me to specialists for physical therapy as well. Throughout this process, I have also seen Dr. Schron for adjustments and follow ups, and I greatly appreciated her expert opinion and clear communication about wearing my devices and what changes I should be expecting between appointments. Both doctors provide care with professionalism, warmth, and attention to detail. I would also note that it's been a pleasure to meet many others in the office, and that everyone in this office works at a very high standard. Today, I got my braces removed, and am delighted to leave this review--thank you so much for all of the time and effort spent to correct my bite! I already recommend Mid Peninsula Orthodontics to friends and family, and will happily continue to do so.

When I first came into the office I met with Dr. Quo and she was very nice, caring and knowledgeable. I’m in my mid 30’s and today I got braces :). Dr. Schron and Jennifer (her assistant) really made me feel very comfortable and at ease during my appointment. Experiencia fantástica: Orthodontics is not just about appearance—it can be life-changing for breathing and overall health. For anyone interested, I recommend reading Breathe by James Nestor to understand how important airways are. Before seeing Dr. Quo and Dr. Schron, I suffered from debilitating chronic migraines, severe pain, light sensitivity, nausea. And I got terrible headaches when flying or at high altitudes. Scans showed I had very narrow airways, and I was nearly CPAP intolerant. After starting MSE (Maxillofacial Skeletal Expansion), the difference was almost immediate. My CPAP pressure has dropped from 9 to 4, and I’m hopeful I won’t need a CPAP when expansion is complete. Even more amazing, I had no headache on my first night during two recent trips to Lake Tahoe—something that used to be miserable because of the altitude. Two things that could be improved at the practice are communication and education about the process. I later found a helpful video online that explained MSE and its benefits in a nutshell, and that would have been nice to see earlier because it was a bit of a leap of faith for me—but it worked out. There was also a logistical issue when I was notified two days before my procedure that the MSE device had not arrived yet. It was disappointing and inconvenient since we had already made arrangements, but I appreciated that they were able to complete the installation later that same week. Overall, Mid Peninsula Orthodontics has been a warm, friendly, and knowledgeable practice, and this treatment has truly been life-changing for me. I am very grateful to Dr Quo and Dr Schron and their team for the important work they do!

Experiencia fantástica: Doing this a second time (once when i was a teenager) and now in my 60's, it was a wonderful experience. Drs Quo and Schron were absolutely awesome. My palate was extra small due to my childhood ortho who pulled teeth to make room (they didn't expand palates back then). This actually caused my upper teeth to crowd each other. Drs Quo and Schron knew exactly what I needed. This opened my nasal passages. It only took 18 months to expand and put my teeth back in order. It completely fixed my bite. The staff was excellent and very professional nicest dental assistants i have ever experienced. The office space is inviting and pleasant. They really make you feel special. Thanks to these wonderful doctors and staff. Great place. I'd give them 10 stars if i could.

She is always respectful and conscious of each of their individual needs - both clinically and personally. Her office is well organized and positive always. She had a very keen sense on how to work with kids, appropriate for their developmental age. Stacey Quo works to teach her patients about their care. As an example, she reinforces the importance of wearing their retainer, and knows that kids lose things - including retainers. She encourages kids to write a paragraph when they lose their retainer to make sure they've thought about how to prevent it in the future. This saves the parents and child both money, time and future orthodontic work. I always highly recommend her and the entire office.

They used an iTero scanner to get a super precise scan of my teeth, which made everything so smooth from start to finish. Going into treatment as an adult isn’t as easy as you’d think because of life but after seeing the results you were concerned about, it no longer became a concern because it was addressed. The whole team always made sure I felt comfortable and supported during my appointments. Finished treatment almost two years ago and I still receive compliments on my teeth and will make sure to wear my retainers to keep them that way!

Experiencia fantástica: I’m grateful that my 19 yr old son was referred to this practice by his prior Orthodontists who had maxed out on what they could do with braces and Invisalign for his Class III malocclusion. We feel beyond fortunate to have been matched with Dr. Stacey Quo’s new associate Dr. Diana Schron, who trained at the top institutions and is a specialist in MSE maxillary skeletal expansion. Completely sensitive to the fact my son was approaching an age when the treatment could be less effective, the support staff expedited his appointment. (I could write an entire review on how supportive they all are from receptionists/schedulers to technical assistants, to insurance liaison!) The placement took an hour and was really smooth and straightforward. My son has been doing his expansions and wearing a face-mask for the last 8 months. He has had check-ins with Dr. Schron every few weeks at which she customizes and optimizes his regimen. We are thrilled that his follow-up images demonstrate increase airway and improvement in his jaw relationship. The expected gaps between his teeth don’t look that bad, and the braces will take care of those. I can’t rave enough about how happy I am to have my son receive care from such supremely competent Orthodontists and a comprehensive, caring, seemlessly-run clinic. I recommend them without reservation!

Experiencia positiva: We decided to work with another orthodontist for my child after two appointments because we felt like cogs in a factory. Dr Quo and her staff are nice but we were disappointed in the lack of attention to basics like explaining what the treatment plan was, and what it would involve. Zero attempt was made to explain the process to my child. Zero attempt was made to explain costs or any options we might have (e.g. removable versus fixed remediation). I found out the frequency of follow up visits and need for a retainer because I googled the procedure after my consultation. Dr Quo also made her treatment decision without a full set of x-rays, which would be fine except the office asked for (expensive even for this area!) payment before that treatment goal was confirmed with x-rays. I assume we just got unlucky because they were rushed and very busy (Dr Quo was a half hour late for our consult appointment). Still, it didn't fill me with confidence and we left. We are very happy with our switch.

Experiencia fantástica: Dr Do is incredible. I was terrified of root canal, and looking for a good place to take care of the mess another dentist made (that caused the root canal). I was referred to Dr Do and he did not disappoint. I was literally crying, afraid of feeling any pain, and he was extremely patient, walked me through the process and I didn’t feel any pain at all. I hope I never to see him again haha as I don’t want to have another root canal, but Dr Do was incredible, human and very empathetic. The clinic is pricey, but it worth the investment.

As an adult this was my second time having braces (first time as a teen was w/another orthodontist) the care I received was personalized and thoughtful. They listened closely to my concerns and did an excellent job explaining each phase and what I needed to do in order to align my teeth correctly without delay. It's not just one bad assistant, but several of them rushing through treatment and being rough handed in the kids' mouths. It would help if her office lightens up its schedule a bit so not everyone feels rushed, and train the assistants to handle patients with more care.

Experiencia fantástica: Dr. Quo is an excellent orthodontist. She is very knowledgeable, patient and friendly. I needed a new mouthguard but I told her that didn’t wear my old one since I got it because it was too bulky for me. We discussed the options and she gave me a solution right away. She recommended a device to help jaw muscles relax and that would have the same purpose as a mouthguard. I’ve been having jaw pain and clicking for years and I’m noticing that the pain has reduced significantly and my jaw muscles are not tense anymore. I highly recommend Dr. Quo and her team that are very nice with patients.

Experiencia negativa: Practice is overbooked. I tried to book a follow up appointment for my daughter in early January and there was nothing available until mid February. They also don’t take responsibility for their lack of availability — they told me I should have booked in December. In terms of the process, my daughter’s front teeth are either too tight or too separated. Not a smooth process for a teenager from an aesthetic perspective.

As a child my parents did not have the means to pay for Ortho treatment and I was a child/teen who did not smile showing my teeth. I’m truly thankful to Dr. Quo for transforming my smile. Experiencia fantástica: I had braces and two impacted canines growing up so of course I had to get them corrected. Got the teeth corrected in a different country but never wore my retainers... After consulting with Dr. Quo and Dr. Schron, I was informed that teeth will always move even after correcting them. Being an adult with braces was not a goal, but having my teeth back to the correct alignment is. So Dr. Schron advised doing Invisalign to help me get back to my old smile. As of right now, teeth are lining up. Thank you Dr. Quo and Dr. Schron for being so attentive, informative, and very detail oriented.

Experiencia fantástica: I’ve been in search for the right orthodontist in the area for my 11 year old son. My son has multiple issues that need to be addressed. Dr Quo is by far the most thorough and thoughtful in her consultation. The staff were both efficient and welcoming and the entire office is taking the appropriate precaution during these times. Correcting ones teeth and smile both functionally and aesthetically makes a big impact and we are happy to have been reverted to Dr. Quo.

Experiencia fantástica: Dr Quo and her staff are doing amazing work with my son. He is 11 now and had expanders on both his top and bottom initially. He has transitioned off the expanders and spent this past year on a retainer. We have seen great results from his care. The bottom expander has been removed a year after the top expanders. He had overlapping and new teeth were struggling to come in because he had limited space in his mouth. He doesn't complain about pain any longer and has a great smile. The staff understands and listens to everything he says and brings up with each appointment and makes adjustments based upon that. They really listen to him and have compassion and care about how he's doing and feeling. That's something that really matters to me and makes the experience for him a more pleasant one which I'm truly grateful for.

Experiencia fantástica: Dr Quo runs a cheery, hi-tech, and immaculately clean shop. I went in this week for a full mouth cast, thinking I would probably be given a mouthful of gummy substance for making the mold. Instead, a 3-D scan was done with a hand-held scanner. Fast and clean. The staff there follow best practice when it comes to protection from Covid-19, and everyone is super friendly.

Experiencia fantástica: Really nice experience with this visit. I was nicely surprised that they were screening the visitors with temperature monitor and whole clinic is very well recognized. Very good procedure from interring and exiting the clinic. I feel very conformable to bring my kid there.

Experiencia fantástica: My 8yr old needed to get his expander taken out yesterday. One side came off without a problem but the other side got stuck. Two technicians tried and couldn’t do it. Dr. Quo herself came and made it work. Throughout the whole process, everyone on staff remained calm, friendly, and communicative. The nurses who tried didn’t let ego get in their way, explained their difficulties, and escalated their concern to Dr. Quo. Dr. Quo explained the final procedure to my son using words he can understand, checked in with my son after using the new tool for a short time before continuing, and reassured him again. My little one is pretty sensitive and he won’t forget bad experiences. I was worried he would be resistant to continue his treatment after this experience. To my delight, he got up from the chair, thanked Dr. Quo, and hasn’t mentioned it again. Dr. Quo and her team’s care for their patients and patience for young children showed my son he can trust them. I’m very impressed by Dr. Quo and her team’s professionalism and TLC for their patients. Thank you all!
