They made him feel so safe and took their time to make him feel comfortable . All the ladies (front desk, pepper, and the hygienist) were amazing! Just be prepared to have your teeth THOROUGHLY checked. They split the yearly checkups by separate appointments due to how thorough they are. But they are also as accommodating as they can be depending on appointment slots available that day. Again, i believe this to be a super honest and professional privately owned dental office that will not take advantage of you. Don't hesitate to give them a try.

Experiencia negativa: We came in for our daughters’ first dental appointment. I showed up early — about 30 minutes before — because this was our first time, and I wanted to make sure paperwork and insurance were handled. Instead of being met with appreciation for planning ahead, I was immediately told “you’re really early, everyone’s on lunch,” as if arriving early for a first-time visit was somehow an inconvenience. Despite that, Pepper made the experience beautiful. She was amazing with my daughters, made them laugh, helped them feel safe, and genuinely brought a warm energy to the room. She even engaged with me in conversation, which I appreciated. She was the highlight of the visit. However, the experience with one of the hygienists (shorter, darker-haired woman — possibly German?) was incredibly off-putting. After already slamming a door in my face and claiming she “didn’t see me” (which felt intentional), she then proceeded to ask me invasive personal questions that had nothing to do with the dental visit — including where the children’s mother was, and what I do for work. These questions were inappropriate, judgmental, and frankly none of her business. It’s important to understand that not every family looks the same. Some families have two dads. Some families have two moms. Some kids have one parent. And others have experienced loss or trauma. Questions like “Where’s mom?” can be triggering, inappropriate, and rooted in assumptions that do more harm than good — especially when asked in front of the children. As a father bringing his kids to the dentist, I shouldn’t be treated like an anomaly or a red flag. I shouldn’t have to explain where their mother is or justify my presence. I was polite, present, and attentive — and yet felt judged and disrespected by someone who was supposed to be providing care. The dentist himself was polite and efficient, which I appreciated. But overall, the experience left me feeling uncomfortable and dismissed as a parent — and that needs to change.

Experiencia positiva: The office is really nice and clean, the staff is very nice, my one and only complaint is that they don't have a baby changing station. I was referred to them for my infant daughter's dental check up appointments (every 3 months) and I always have to take her to my car to change her diaper. I don't know how a "family" dentist office doesn't have a baby changing station. I've never been to any form of medical (doctor or other dentist) office that didn't have a baby changing station of some sort.

Experiencia negativa: Extremely disappointed with Kingwood Perfect Smiles. I contacted their office after confirming they were in-network with our insurance. I clearly explained that we needed an expose and bond procedure for my daughter—per her orthodontist’s order—and I even emailed them the referral ahead of time. I asked if this was something they could do and was told yes. When I asked about cost, I was informed that they couldn’t provide a quote until after a consultation, but that the consultation would be free. Based on that, I scheduled the appointment for May 13. At the end of the visit, I again asked if there was a charge and was told no. A couple of weeks later, I received an EOB from my insurance showing they had billed for both the consultation and new X-rays, even though I had just had X-rays done and could have provided them if I’d known they were going to bill for more. Then after three full weeks with no communication, I called last week to follow up and was told they hadn’t heard anything yet. Today, I received a voicemail from their office telling me that Dr. Darr no longer performs expose and bond procedures and I would need to find another oral surgeon. I was shocked that they waited 3 weeks to tell me they don’t even perform the procedure we came in for—despite me providing the exact order and explaining it from the beginning. This wasted our time and delayed my daughter’s treatment, which they knew was time-sensitive. If they couldn’t do the procedure, they never should have scheduled the appointment or billed our insurance. On top of all that, the customer service was awful. I called after getting the voicemail and spoke with Ashley, the receptionist. I explained everything, and her response was basically, “We just found out.” Then she asked, “Is there anything else I can help you with?”—as if my concerns weren’t valid. I asked to speak with a manager and was told they don’t have one. I asked to speak with the doctor or owner, and Ashley told me I’d have to wait on hold for 40 minutes if I wanted to talk to the doctor. When I asked for a callback, she said, “The doctor is not going to call you back.” That level of disrespect and lack of professionalism is completely unacceptable. She eventually said I could send an email and “maybe” he’d respond. After I insisted on a callback, she eventually returned my call and repeated the same thing—they don’t do the procedure anymore and referred me elsewhere. No solution, no accountability, no offer to reverse the charges, just a referral and an apology. This entire situation—from the misinformation, to the billing, to the unprofessional customer service—has been frustrating, time-wasting, and stressful. I strongly do not recommend Kingwood Perfect Smiles. They should not be booking procedures they don’t perform or billing insurance under false pretenses. I hope they reevaluate their internal processes and staff training, especially when it comes to communication, honesty, and patient care.

The dental assistants and dental hygienist were friendly and informative, Dr. Adam made appropriate diagnoses, and the front desk staff broke down all future procedure costs individually in a way that was very clear and easy to understand. I was told the clinic is privately owned (not a chain or franchise), and you can feel that. No unnecessary upselling or pressure. I definitely recommend coming here!

Experiencia negativa: If you’re trying to get an appointment for an exam and cleaning they are not very helpful if you’re a new patient. They require you to schedule 2 separate hour long appointments, one for the exam, one for the cleaning. It’s impossible to get both done in the same day apparently for new patients.

I came into Perfect Smiles and it was everything you could ask for in a dentists office! Clean, super friendly, up to date technology, you name it. I found my permanent dentist!!!

Even if it was a misunderstanding about the insurance, respect me as a customer when talking to me. The I’m right and your wrong attitude without listening to the customer was rude. I made an appointment after being pressed with phone calls about it over and over during a pandemic. My insurance changed, now we can debate about it all day if I gave her the updated insurance or not, but don’t have an attitude with me about it. She could have explained it to me in a more professional and friendly way.
