Experiencia negativa: Today was my first time at the PG Family Dentistry with my two kids. My first experience was so bad the receptionist lady was so rude and lack customer care . I dont know if she is been racism, because she talk to me as if she was having a personal issue with. A big thanks to the doctor and the attentant who prepare my daughter and handed over to the doctor who was so friendly and nice to my kids as she clean their teeth

Experiencia negativa: I went to this office for a routine dental cleaning and was told they would refuse to perform even a normal preventative cleaning unless I first agreed to and paid for a “deep cleaning” procedure that my insurance would not cover. The justification given was that a standard cleaning would supposedly be “useless” unless I purchased the more expensive scaling treatment. That explanation made little medical sense and sounded far more like a sales tactic than legitimate patient care. What made the experience even worse was that the appointment became a complete waste of time and actually resulted in a worse health outcome. I took time out of my schedule expecting to receive routine preventative care, only to leave without any cleaning at all because I declined an uncovered and expensive procedure. Refusing to provide even basic maintenance unless a patient agrees to additional billable treatment does not promote dental health — it delays care and leaves the patient worse off than when they arrived. The entire interaction felt driven by revenue generation rather than ethical, patient-centered dentistry. Patients should be able to trust that treatment recommendations are based on genuine medical necessity, not pressure to maximize insurance reimbursement or office profits. There is, in fact, a growing public and professional debate about the frequency with which dentists diagnose periodontal disease and recommend “deep cleanings” — formally called scaling and root planing (“SRP”). The concern is not that deep cleanings are fictional or inherently improper. However many dentists are aggressively recommending SRP because it is substantially more lucrative and more heavily reimbursed by insurers than ordinary prophylactic cleanings.

At PG Family Dentistry, our treatment recommendations are always based on the clinical findings present at the time of examination and what we believe is in the best long-term interest of a patient’s oral health. In certain cases, when there are signs of periodontal disease such as bone loss, deep pocketing, inflammation, or tartar buildup below the gumline, a routine preventive cleaning may not be clinically appropriate or effective until the underlying condition is addressed through periodontal therapy.
We understand that discussions regarding treatment needs and insurance coverage can sometimes be frustrating, especially when unexpected costs are involved. However, we never want any patient to feel pressured into treatment, and we regret if that was your impression of the visit.
Our office strives to maintain high ethical and professional standards while providing individualized care recommendations for every patient. We also recognize the importance of clear communication, and we appreciate your feedback as it helps us continue improving the patient experience.

After reviewing your chart, we see that your last visit to our office was approximately 24 months ago. Dental restorations, including fillings, are not lifetime treatments and can be affected by a number of factors over time such as bite pressure, grinding, diet, oral hygiene, and routine dental maintenance.
Our office stands behind our work and always evaluates concerns carefully. However, warranty considerations are contingent upon regular recare visits and ongoing examinations, which help us monitor restorations and address issues early. When a patient has not been seen for an extended period of time, we are unable to guarantee prior treatment.
We understand that not having dental insurance can make treatment costs challenging. While we are not a corporate practice, our team is always happy to discuss payment options or membership plans that may help reduce out-of-pocket expenses.

Experiencia negativa: I am a new patient at PG Family Dentistry and had an unsatisfactory experience at my appointment today. My dentist, not sure of her name was quite rude in telling me to get off of my phone as I sent a quick text. She had an issue with my toddler son who was first playing with his toys in the waiting room. She came out and asked for it to quieted which I obliged with no problem. When she began working on me, he and my sister were sitting in the front. I heard him whining and walking in the front and also heard her make an annoyed sigh. I said nothing. Then after she was done measuring my gums, I heard my son getting whiny. At that point I grabbed my phone to send a quick text to my sister to have him go out into the car. The dentist then said to me “we need to have respect and you being on your phone is a distraction xyz” I replied letting her know that I was trying to alleviate outside distractions being caused by my son with the text. She then said she’d have another associate finish the work which I said nothing to. She finished the appointment, as said nothing more on the matter and I left. This is every unprofessional and uncomfortable. If you don’t want kids, say that, I called and asked and was told it was okay. We understand that attending appointments with young children can sometimes be challenging. While children are certainly welcome in our office, we do ask that noise and activity be managed appropriately so that clinical care is not disrupted for other patients or staff. Our team’s requests during your visit were made with that goal in mind, not out of disrespect.
Regarding your concern about professionalism — our doctors and clinical team are trained to maintain focus on patient care at all times. If a situation becomes distracting during active treatment, it is standard protocol to pause or redirect in order to maintain a safe working environment.
We regret that you left feeling uncomfortable. That was not our intention. However, mutual respect in a healthcare setting includes adhering to clinical guidelines that allow us to provide safe and effective treatment.

No services were upsold, and the price was reasonable. Update 12/2025, arrived 230 for 230 appointment, done and driving away by 2:50. Just a cleaning today. Effective, efficient. I wish all my doctors operated this way. I have better dental coverage so I don’t even get a bill now.

The staff were disrespectful and treated patients poorly, often ignoring their concerns and not listening attentively. The quality of service was also subpar—particularly the teeth cleaning, which was done carelessly and not thoroughly. Overall, the professionalism and standard of care were far below expectations. This was by far the worst dental experience I’ve ever had.

If you have little ones and have an emergency cleaning do not come here however if you’re able to wait a month or two for an appointment then so be it.

However, I came to PG dentistry from a different dentist, and within less than a year, the filling came off. Unfortunately, the insurance doesn’t cover the cost to fix it. What disappointed me most was that during this visit, they tried to suggest work on a different part of my tooth that didn’t need a filling, which felt like an attempt to charge me unnecessarily. I found this approach to be neither fair nor transparent, and it made me feel as if I was being misled.

Experiencia positiva: It's one of the better Dentists my family has been to in the last few years. Pros: The exam and cleaning were thorough and quick. All the staff are very nice and attentive. Our 3 year old daughter was treated very kindly and she was calm and cooperative the whole time. It's a clean office. Cons: Small waiting room, and not very kid-friendly, so be sure to bring books, devices or something for your kid to do while waiting. They seemed over-booked, but because we scheduled through an app, it might not have been entirely their fault. I look forward to coming again.

Experiencia fantástica: Just WOW!! I have anxiety with needles and was a super cry baby but they were very patient, empathetic and gentle. The music was a very soothing touch and though bracing for pain I didn't feel too much of anything, it was more so in my head. She was so smooth my mouth actully doesn't hurt though it should hours after the anesthesia has worn off. No one else is ever touching my mouth. Best dentist hands down. Many dentists are rough and it makes people reluctant to go but she makes it easy. Thank you so much for helping me smile again !!
