Experiencia negativa: Horrible communication. I’ve reached out about 4 times now to try to have them call my insurance because they wouldn’t when I had my regular cleaning scheduled. I get 3 cleanings a year because that’s what my insurance allows but they turned me away rather than calling my insurance to verify. I had a choice to leave or pay $53 for a cleaning that would’ve been covered under my insurance had they practiced good customer service and called anthem to verify. I’ve even emailed them the form that shows I’m allowed 3 cleanings a year and still no one will get back to me. My husband has also had issues at this office that I’ve had to call about to fix. They canceled his cleaning appointment that was scheduled months in advance because they didn’t give the lady enough time to clean his teeth. Tried to reschedule him months later so I had to call and speak to a manager about that. They eventually found available appointments that were going to take the same amount of time as the other appointment was scheduled for. I don’t understand this office.

He explains everything he is doing. All the helpers there are very nice and the reception area girls are really super nice. I am glad this place was so great because I feel good going to them.

Experiencia positiva: I was always very happy with this Dental Practice. Started with them 28 years ago when they were called Famijy Care Dental. I had UPS insurance all that time after retiring they accepted my supplement for one year than denied it. Sad how businesses and insurance work and you are just a statistic. I will say they did a lot of dental work with crowns, root canals fillings X-rays and cleanings and I’m sure got paid well from UPS. I am now with St Helen’s Dental who were awesome accepting our supplement and I am very happy with them! Wish I had changed years ago now!

Experiencia negativa: I have gone in for a cleaning about two years back, and they referred me to get a deep cleaning. I schedule and wait for that appointment. I show up got everything taken care of, and once the dental assistant comes to do the deep cleaning stated my tarter wasn't too bad and after doing some digging i would need a gum treatment. So she takes measurements and sends it to my insurance to get an estimate of costs. After all that my insurance had changed post estimate, and now that I can afford more for my dental, I called with my new insurance information and said they would send in measurements to that company. After waiting a few weeks i call back and they said they never sent it in. So they apparently did it again. I wait the 5-6 weeks they said it takes to hear back from the insurance company. I call around week 5 and one of the ladies i talked to said it was sent in, and she was going to check with who handles that and that they would call back. I never got that call, and ended up calling once again. The last lady whom i spoke with said the measurements were never sent in, and tried making excuses of someone being let go, and confusion was happening between what i needed. I now am not going back, because apparently helping me is too hard to do. I just wanted a cleaning. It's been YEARRRRSSSS. And no one wants to help me there.

Experiencia fantástica: Everyone is friendly and helpful from the front desk to the dental chair. Dr Fox was able to save my bridge which saved me thousands of dollars. Dr Fox and Angie have my full confidence, i would never go anywhere else.

Experiencia negativa: After spending hundreds of dollars in medical bills because a doctor here misdiagnosed me, Not only are they not willing to work with me by looking at the x-rays I've already paid for, But the receptionist staff is very rude and not well trained. Clarissa for example, Will either rudely put you on hold in the middle of a sentence or put you on hold and leave you on hold because it's almost the end of the day and she doesn't wanna have to schedule another appointment. After trying to speak to a manager, The staff just kept putting me in In circles with phone, transfers. Not professional at all.

Experiencia negativa: never waste your time or money at mortensons. This company is commission based and is thirsting for every single cent they can swipe from your pockets. They will lie to you in hopes that you will fold and listen to them. Those 7 cavities you have? Any other dentist will tell you that you have 0-2. You need that root canal? It’s a cavity than can be filled. Your kid needs braces? No they don’t. They just want another 5k and a new regular checkbook to write in at their next door affiliate BRACES BRACES BRACES with Dr. Marcus Woods. Dont trust these people. See a real dentist. Local always is the best option.

Experiencia fantástica: Dr Bryan Fox is amazing!!! He has a gentle nature that immediately puts you at ease. He extracted 3 teeth and I didn’t feel one pain. I’ve never had such a positive experience at dentist. The shots in roof were not painful. This dentist is a miracle worker!! No words for how great his staff took care of me. Can’t say enough kind words.

Experiencia negativa: 3 separate occasions where they couldn't keep the appointment. The appointments were made 6 months prior and around 2 weeks before the date, I would get a text that I have to reschedule. I would be put on a standby list, get text after text about openings. The one time I could actually make it, I called and they said I received that text by accident! What's the purpose of an appointment if the dentist can't ever keep it??

Experiencia negativa: Dentists are marginally competent. Lab must be a group of high school students getting a jump on a later career. Dental work was divided into multiple appointments unnecessarily. Did I mention the lab was a disgrace? Dentist always tried to convince me that lab work was acceptable. How does this place stay in business? I was NEVER happy with service.

Experiencia negativa: As it has been 10 weeks or so since they had to check my medicare insurance, I haven't heard anything since. I called after 5 weeks and was told it takes 4 to 6 weeks to verify. Seems either office people failed or don't care. My initial visit with Dr. Fox and his assistant was very nice, but since then I must have got lost, ignored or they don't want medicare dental. I received a notice about what they pay within 3 weeks, so why haven't they?? Very disappointing and aggravating to be ignored. Guess I need to find another dentist.

Experiencia negativa: I called to advise that my husband who is a patient at the Jefferson Mall location of Mortensons was having severe pain in one of his teeth/gums, lady that answered the phone didn't seem to care at all. Told me they had no openings and to take him to urgent care or the ER. Wow!!! Really? I guess since I called a few minutes before they closed at 2pm on Friday, they didn't want to be bothered.

They took my insurance ID (made me read it over phone)and everything I got out there over 1 hour drive,very rude receptionist told me they could not take my dental plan because it was Medicare,(me being 17)which it clearly said dental and healthcare on it nothing about Medicare Should probably find better people or at least tell them they can’t treat people like that (also they need more schooling, she couldn’t read)

I hadn't been to a dentist for a while, and had very negative experiences with dental practices before coming here. I was always shamed for any little thing I did at previous dental offices, but here they never once judged me or made me feel bad for any problem I had. They were very empathetic to me and made me feel so safe and welcome. Which is so important for a dental office, because everyone can relate to being stressed out at one. Also not to mention they are AFFORDABLE!!! With insurance a cavity filling only cost 36 dollars which is great!! If you need a new primary dentist, I recommend this Mortenson Family Dental highly!!!

Experiencia negativa: Not returning. I bought a plan with Mortensen before I had insurance. Acquired insurance for the beginning of the year. I asked which do they bill first (their in house plan or the insurance) and they told me I would have to complete the plan (it expires in September) before I can use insurance at all. I asked for a prorated refund since I am paying for insurance and don't need both coverages if they cannot both be applied to my bill. I was told they don't do that. I'm switching to a more client centric dentist

Experiencia negativa: I didn't like this experience at all, how they treated me this time, those at the entrance are friendly but the one who call my name and took me to the back I don't know if she was in a hurry or what. as soon as I was going to sit down, she was already putting that paper on me with the clip behind her and I was still taking off my jacket. I don't know how much of a hurry she was in, so she didn't even let me take off my jacket or leave my purse on the chair. The one who cleaned me even asked me to hold that stick that absorbs saliva...it's not my job to have to hold that...and then that stick that she made me hold came out and instead of cleaning it She said oooohh, nothing's wrong, it's clean... I don't know if It touched the ground and she didn't even clean it, she just put the stick that I had in my hand back, I don't even know why I have to hold that. Overall a bad experience this time.

She had a mine soothing screensaver on the TV while waiting to be seen. Also great at what she does relaxed even when things were supposed to be difficult they turned out smooth and painless. Would definitely recommend Mortenson Dental at Jefferson Mall to friends and family!

Having the opportunity to meet Dr. Fox was exactly what I hoped for, very down earth and attentive. The entire team was an absolute blessing to say the least!❤️ From the front desk all the way to the consultation, they all treated me like I meant the world to them. When I left the building, all I could think about is how effectively they took care of me. Two extracted teeth and ZERO stitches later, I'm on my second day feeling like a total new human. Nothing about my visit was less than a 10/10. Dr. Fox will forever be my dentist, if you're thinking about stopping in to see him don't even hesitate. He's the best and to me will always be the best. Then they wanted us to return for a crown when the place they sent us to does it all. Plus it took a long time to get an appointment. I thought being a "chain" would have its advantages. Don't think we will be back.

And yo, heads-up the Dental assistants were all some cuties too. Will definitely go back. Matter a fact I scheduled my next appointment while I was there. Edit: I have sense been to there new location, amd am also in a relationship now. Haha. But younger me still holds valid points. Uber friendly workers, from the desk to the back. Everyone was cool. And no one made me feel incompetent, Rather the opposite. Friendly. Helpful. Nice. And professional, without being "arms lengthed." Just absolutely love having dental appointments anymore. Haha.
