Experiencia fantástica: Good service, clean office. Staff professional and kind.

Experiencia negativa: The staff is nice and they do a good job. HOWEVER- I paid them $332.20 for a visit on 06/02/26. My EOB was processed on 06/04/26 and the bill sent to Cigna was $305.60, and my responsibility to pay was $153.40. I called them about a week later to inquire about my refund. They said they have not received the EOB from my insurance but they would refund the card I used in office when it was received. Obviously that did not happen. I called today on 06/25/26 and they told me my refund would be $88, which is about $90 short. I explained the situation and they could not tell me anything (3 weeks later…). Magically they also can’t fix it today or give me a refund and I have to call back on Monday. I can’t help but feel scammed or that there is some type of fraudulent billing happening at this practice. Unfortunately I will not return to this office even though I liked the staff because this situations feels ridiculous and fraudulent.

While we appreciate the quality of dental care that we received by Dr Lamba and the rest of the team, we have been dealing with a fraudulent insurance claim for almost 2 months now. It is impossible to get anybody to answer the phone to correct this. The call center cannot help. We will no longer be patients at Coast Dental and I would encourage anyone looking for a new dentist to look elsewhere.

Experiencia negativa: I had a very unprofessional encounter with Mary, the dental hygienist today. Whenever I sat in the chair, she handed me a piece of paper to sign. I noticed that it was more expensive than what I typically pay. She got frustrated whenever I asked details and seemed like she was rushing to get me in and out. She basically told me that I had bad hygiene (in which I do not). I floss and brush my teeth twice a day. She showed me my x ray and stated that I had food in between each tooth. (Which I always clean my teeth thoroughly, especially right before coming in for a visit). I asked to speak to the doctor. (Which I didn’t get to last time because she was out of office). And she got upset whenever I declined to sign the papers for the more extensive cleaning. She stated, “Then you will be skipped today.” I waited about 10 mins for Dr. Lamba. She was great and explained everything thoroughly. She also stated that the spots in between my teeth on the x-ray is most likely due to excess calcium in my body. It’s very unfortunate that Mary was so unprofessional. I hope this was a learning experience for her and anyone else that is going here, make sure to advocate for yourself.

Experiencia fantástica: I first visited Coast Dental of Woodstock, Georgia late July of 2025. I had an emergency situation that would've prevented me from taking a very important trip where my service was needed. This office under Dr. Lamba's direction made time to fit me in, treat my issue, and recommend follow up treatment when I returned from my trip. Today's visit was a part of the recommended follow up treatment plan. Everyone from the front desk to Dr. Lamba, and all of the staff in between are professional, courteous and efficient in what they do! Dare I say that they care? In my humble opinion the answer is YES, they do! I'm very appreciative of Coast Dental of Woodstock, Georgia, Dr. Lamba and the entire staff. I look forward to their care for all of my dental needs and concerns.

No hidden charges cos they explain to you in details what’s gonna be covered, what may be covered and what won’t be covered so you know what to expect. And my fill in is great like she predicted after the temporal fill-in.

Experiencia negativa: Coast dental has been an absolute pain to deal with. First case was with my daughters wisdom teeth. They scheduled an appointment for her to get it done from the call center (Which is in a different country btw) My daughter lives 4 hours away and her and her mother had to get a hotel for the night before and after the procedure. Come to find out they don't do wisdom teeth at the office and we had to find another place to do it. Turns out they have to do a pre-op and cant get it done within the time they are in town. Waste of money for two nights at the hotel and taking off work. They didn't seem to care and it wasn't their fault. Second thing is I had to get gum scraping done and they had me come in for a cleaning before i could get my insurance to cover the scraping. I come in for the scraping and its 1124$ which they didn't tell me it would be. I cant afford that. My insurance says it covers 100% of everything on my card. It covered nothing. The office also smells like raw sewage. DO NOT GO TO THIS DENTIST!!!!

Experiencia fantástica: I was embarrassed for how long I had not been to the dentist. So I was very nervous about my appointment. But from the beginning the technicians and dentist were super nice. An appointment I was dreading turn out to be a very pleasant experience.

Experiencia fantástica: I'm a new patient. I had a complete exam, rays, cleaning and two excellent referrals to specialists (gums & root canals). A couple days ago, a restoration of a crown. All these went very well. Dr. Lamba and staff do great work and are cheerful and friendly. I got some good advice too. Very pleased.

Experiencia negativa: The first screening went very well. When I went back for my follow-up appointment, they recommended some care to me which I agreed to for that visit. What was not explained to me was that this was the plan moving forward. Instead of the regular 6 month cleanings, they were scheduling me and billing my insurance for periodontal and orthodontal care which was much more expensive and not fully covered. I felt blindsided because it was no different from a basic cleaning at another dentist when I went to my appointment. A family member received the basic cleaning and our care was identical. We left with sore gums every time because the cleaning was rougher than anything I've ever had done to my teeth. I would get phone calls the day of the appointments asking to move my time after I already had to confirm over text message and email. I'm sure that everyone there is doing their best, but the practice felt very unprofessional.

She has been my dentist for yrs. She has helped me understand what is going on in my mouth & takes a personal interest in my getting the best dental results. Rachel, the other dental asst is confident & knows what she is doing. I’m very happy with the dental care I get at the Coast office at Woodstock, GA.

Experiencia positiva: Overall experience was good - only negative was there was LOUD country music playing directly outside the room where I was placed. It was very annoying - not so much the music but the volume. On top of this there was 4-5 people trying to talk over the music.

Experiencia fantástica: Had a broken tooth, called for an appointment, was seen the same day, broken tooth all sharp edges removed, was given a referral to an oral surgeon to have the damaged tooth extracted. Overall service was excellent.

I struggled to find a good dental hygienist and a dentist who aren’t in it to find bogus charges and unnecessary dental work! Highly recommend!!

Experiencia negativa: A scheduled cleaning was complete nightmare. When I showed up informed I was not on book for appointment but can work it out. Then I was directed to a series of X Rays that were unnecessarily brutally handled. I was ordered to comply each mouth jamming slide. I asked the tech/hygienist why so many for bite wing she states she don’t make rules and crams another metal device against my face. I refused to continue because my gum was so uncomfortable. When I stood up I was told to sit down or there would b no cleaning, really? I worry how she’d treat a child or elderly without a voice. So disappointed and unprofessional if she didn’t want to “fit me in” should have rescheduled as I offered. Parthenia Leal

Rachel was the assistant and she did a fantastic job as they did my assessment. She was very efficient and knowledgeable. I am not a fan of going to the dentist but they calmed me down and told me what I needed to do and put a plan in place in order for me to get my teeth back to where I want them. Experiencia negativa: Unfortunately, I cannot recommend this place, particularly if you have a dental hmo. They did get me in pretty quickly and were friendly enough. My first red flag was that they wanted $1,400 for cleaning and a few fillings - AFTER INSURANCE. But, I needed the work done in order to have surgery, so I decided to suck it up and deal with it rather than put off surgery any longer. I did have some fillings done, and have been dealing with a loud ringing in that ear ever since. Meanwhile, I had scheduled an appointment with the oral surgeon they had referred me to to have a wisdom tooth extracted. Turns out that group doesn’t even accept my insurance. I figured I’d call back to get a referral to somewhere that did accept my insurance. Surprise! They apparently only refer people to one place. So if you’re on an hmo like me, there would be no way to get the work done under insurance and their one and only place of referral is out of network. Now I’m going to have to wait until January to change my insurance and start all over again. This is so frustrating!

Experiencia negativa: Understand that you are dealing with a call center when you book your appointment. The call center lied to me and told me that they would be able to do my consultation and my cleaning all in the same day. The dentist told me when I saw her that they were not able to do both and that the call center tends to do that a lot, where they tell people the wrong thing. I had a filling done about 2 months ago which fell out of my tooth the other day when I was flossing. The dentist that filled that tooth is no longer there and she moved away…when I went back to coast dental but a different location, that doctor stated he was not trained to do the treatment I needed done in order to fix my tooth. I recommend to stay clear of Coast Dental

Experiencia negativa: If you want to be worse off than you came come here! Would not recommend this office. Unfortunately I came in for 2 chipped teeth in the front and they seemed to have tried to fix the issue. With them fixing it and after the numbing wore off I was unable to chew down at all. So it’s been 48 hours since I’ve been able to eat anything. I tried to eat something very soft around hour 32 and it landed me in the emergency room due to signs of choking because I can’t chew my food small enough to digest it. So here we are over 2 days later and they’re telling me the doctor can only look at what the issue is and can’t promise to fix it when they’re the ones that’s caused this issue in the first place. I can’t go too many days without eating until I have serious health problems and possibly fatale. They don’t seem to care. Also the dentist that did fix the tooth knew when I left that I would have problems eating as she said the bite wasn’t corrected but “At least it looks good”. Very unprofessional and uneducated on how to properly fix a tooth. I may seek legal counsel if I continue to rack up bills from primary care, the emergency room and pain as well as suffering due to this issue. I hope it can be rectified today or that’s might what I have to do!

Experiencia negativa: they will not correct my bill from 2019. So I wouldn't recommend this dentist because you will be chasing them for months and years to get this corrected. Coast dental can reach out to me at any point but instead they want to threaten to send me to collections just because they don't know to do their job properly. My insurance has sent them the checks and claims. They just refuse to change my bill to the adjusted amount after insurance. They have my phone number and email on file. I have sent them multiple emails and called them several times. I NEVER do reviews but if this is the only way I can get their attention, I will be posting several. *** editing after a few years now. The bills never got corrected and i was sent to collections for several thousands of dollars. I would avoid them at all costs bc they never ever got back to me and didn’t know how to fix my bill so instead they just sent me to collections so they could no longer have to deal. Also, they do work on my teeth that I’ve had to get redone within a year or two. I also got a crown and its more of a blue shade (the color of the glue material) and all my other dentist tell me what a terrible job this person did to put my crown on. So if you wanna go here where they scam you, jack your teeth up and then send you to collections to mess your credit up then by all means go ahead.
