Dental Depot’s dentist office in NW OKC, located near the intersection of W Hefner and N. Rockwell, offers a welcoming environment where high-quality, family-friendly dental care is a top priority. Like all Dental Depot offices, Dental Depot in NW OKC is doctor-owned, which means patients get more time, support, and personalized care than at either a corporate office or even a private practice, but we’re also a little unique, led by Dr. Khalid Alzubi, an Okie and alum of the University of Oklahoma College of Dentistry.
Dental Depot in NW OKC is dedicated to providing comprehensive dental care services at a common-sense price, making it easier for families to access the care they need without breaking the bank. Dr. Khalid Alzubi comes to us from the University of Oklahoma College of Dentistry. When he’s not at the office, you can surely bet that Dr. Alzubi will be spending time outdoors – bike riding, hiking, rock climbing, swimming, or participating in some other outdoor sport. He also loves to play soccer and is a big football and basketball fan.
Dr. Acquaviva earned his undergraduate degree from the University of Central Oklahoma and went on to complete a master’s degree at King’s College London before graduating from the University of Oklahoma College of Dentistry. Drawn to the hands-on nature of dentistry and the opportunity to directly help others, he values the ability to work closely with patients to support their oral health and overall well-being.
Dr. Sammour studied Chemical Engineering at the University of Alabama before earning his dental degree from the University of Oklahoma College of Dentistry. He was drawn to dentistry for its hands-on nature and the opportunity to directly impact patients’ lives.
Dental Depot’s commitment to philanthropy and community service is deeply rooted in our mission to not only provide exceptional dental care but also to give back to the communities we serve. In 1978, Navy veteran Dr. Glenn Ashmore opened the first Dental Depot office in Oklahoma City’s historic Linwood neighborhood as a small, family-owned private practice. Although that building burned down in 2001, during the construction of the second Oklahoma City Dental Depot location, community support helped us recover quickly. More than 45 years later, we’re proud to have just as many locations throughout Texas, Arizona, Missouri, and Oklahoma, with 25 here in the Sooner State alone!

I was in the area and got a six month checkup. My experience was fantastic! Dental Depot got me in and out in less than an hour. I was given some Dental Depot chapstick and a T shirt. I decided to leave a five star review. The customer service, hygienist, dentist, and staff ❤️ was ???? amazing.
I have used Dental Depot North in Oklahoma City for several years now for regular 6 month check-ups, x-rays & cleaning my teeth. I have had to have one crown during that time, and I have always been pleased with their services. The dentists and other staff are all very thorough, friendly & helpful. Their procedure rooms are wheelchair accessible & the employees always offer to help if needed. I definitely recommend this dental practice.

Expect to be contacted repeatedly via texts, emails, and phone calls pushing for rescheduling or reminding you of “overdue” cleanings. Overall, it feels like profit comes before patient care.

Experiencia negativa: Came to get my temporary crowns put back on after an accident & they didn’t even last 12 hours before they popped back off. The DA was constantly drilling the temporary & couldn’t get it to fit (after at least 5 tries) & had the get the Dr.. I am very displeased with my service & will not be returning to this location as the DA’s do not seem educated enough to be in people’s mouths.

Experiencia negativa: Staff is nice and friendly. The complaint I have is that my mouth hurts longer after I leave. I had a crown prep and my mouth still hurts really bad and I had this done on Thursday. I have been gargling with warm salt water and taking Tylenol every day. It was the same when I had a root canal my mouth hurt for 2 weeks. It’s like they gave me to many shots or something. I have been to a lot of dentist and have never experienced this before

She was very helpful as all the rest were too but she did extend a little more help as I was unaware of a problem with a pocket I had in the back of my tooth that needed a little bite more attention. Experiencia positiva: Quickly cleaned my teeth and sent home. I had x rays done and checked by a dentist and was asked if I had any teeth complaints. I’m blessed to have healthy teeth, so this is a nice cheaper place close to my home to get dental work every 6 months. They do make you fill out paperwork every time due to the fact jobs change so much but I understand that and cannot complain. It reminds me to appreciate that I have the insurance to do this with.

Experiencia negativa: Everyone is friendly however I sat in the chair for an hour and a half for about 10 minutes worth of work waiting for the hygienist and then the dentist himself. Thought maybe this was a one off but this is my second visit where I experienced long wait times.

Experiencia negativa: I had a very painful experience at Dental Depot during a deep cleaning. Four days after the procedure, my lower gums are still hurting badly. I feel like there is a hole in my gum and even my throat feels scraped and painful. I had to rely on constant pain medicine for days just to manage it. Yesterday, I had another quadrant cleaned at a different dental office, and the difference was unbelievable — the procedure there was much more gentle, and I barely needed any pain medicine afterward. I also reached out to Dental Depot by email and text to express my concerns and to ask about a refund, but they were slow to respond and eventually said they could not offer one. While the hygienist seemed kind and said she felt bad seeing me in pain, the overall experience was extremely rough, painful, and left me feeling very hurt and unsupported. I hope Dental Depot seriously improves both their treatment gentleness and their after-care communication for future patients.

Experiencia fantástica: This location in NW OKC was fantastic! They were able to get us in last minute on a Saturday for my 5 year old with a broken tooth. They did X-rays which other locations hadn’t and found cavities a different location had missed. They were thorough and kind the whole time. The staff was so friendly and knowledgeable. My 5 year old loved them.

Experiencia fantástica: I hadn’t been to the dentist in over 10 years because of extreme anxiety. I had a tooth that was so bad that it needed to be extracted as the pain was unbearable. I told the staff that I was very nervous and they comforted me. Even the numbing injections I was being coached theough so it wasn’t terrible. When it came time for Dr. Khalid to extract my tooth I thought he was just checking on the numbness because I didn’t feel a thing! The tooth was out in just a few seconds. I’ve already scheduled my next appointment for fillings and after that will be committed to a consistent cleaning schedule.

Experiencia fantástica: Dental Depot has taken great care of me. When I needed a root canal, I was sent out to a specialist from another dentist. Of courses that was going to be an arm and leg! Then a friend told me to check out Dental Depot. They were able to get me in the next day, did the procedure with no problems! Anyway a little more and here fixes along the way, BUT, they just finished a 2 implant/3 unit bridge and I can not tell you how happy I am with this!! The color, the shape, and just how it feels is really amazing! The staff at Hefner and Rockwell are amazing and the Dr knows what he is doing! I am 100% on board with Dental Depot as my provider from here on out!! Major Kuddos!!

Experiencia negativa: I recently was told that I NEED a root canal . I was skeptical because I truly didn’t understand what that meant . Everyone was like rushing around ., bringing me papers to sign and what not. I went the second time for another root canal . Same thing . My questions with other concerns went unanswered., like the gum balls on my gums and jaw popping. The main concern was payment . I wasn’t advise about aftercare . I’m in pain still and don’t have any ideal as what to do to stop the pain. Very painful to eat

Experiencia negativa: Had a horrible experience with a family member for a cavity fill. The people doing the shots as well as the dental procedure were rough. Afterwards the person was in so much pain and have never had issues before. They also didn’t clean his teeth very well considering it’s been less than 6 months and the teeth look dirty. They run people through so quick in and out to get money. They don’t think about people they think about the amount of people and money. If you wanted to be treated like a number then this is a place for you.

The staff and dentist at the N Rockwell and Hefner OKC branch are friendly, helpful, and have been very supportive. Angel and the dentist (sorry I forgot your name, I’ll do better) are rock stars.

Angel is the absolute best assistant equally as thorough as the doctor. She is very personable and so polite and respectful to all coworkers. Great experience!

Experiencia positiva: I had a 1230 appointment but had to reschedule due to an emergency so I called 2 hours prior to let them know. I rescheduled with no issues. Two hours later I received a call from a male employee who asked “are you going to show up for your appointment “ in a less than friendly tone. I explained that I had called prior to reschedule and was on the cancellation list for an earlier appointment. He then RUDELY hung up the phone. I’ve had some time to reflect on the call and would love to be able to respond with some rudeness of my own because though it’s probably not the right thing to do it’s who I am. Aside from this unfortunate incident I’m cool with DD. I guess like everywhere in the world else the right hand has no clue what the left hand is doing - they don’t communicate!!!!!!!!!!

Experiencia negativa: I, unfortunately, do not have a positive review. My husband has heart disease and has been experiencing pain, so I made him an appointment to get checked out. He has been to this location numerous times so I figured they would care enough to help me find out what'sgoing on with my husband. His previous physician no longer works there, and he agreed to be seen by a new physician. They told him he could get a cleaning in February?!? He has heart disease! I'm in serious disbelief that we have to find another dentist due to the fact that the entire staff, except for the receptionist, was ignorant to how serious oral care is for a person with heart disease and didn't offer any emergency services. I'm so confused. I suppose it may be the fact that it's a corporate type of establishment, as opposed to a dentist that actually cares. For the love of everything good on this planet! I am THOROUGHLY disappointed

Experiencia positiva: Cleaning tech put me in a chair, lowered it back then left to assist in another appointment, even though this was my time. When she left she said she’d be back in a minute. It was 20 minutes. Obviously, I got out of the chair after about 10 as my head was laying lower than my body. I was just about to leave when she came back in. This was my first time there and if it weren’t for the dentist and hygienist, I would not be going back.

Experiencia negativa: I would give 0 stars if that was possible. I had a root canal about a year ago, my crown has since then fallen off. Went to my regular dentist to get it put back on only to learn that not only did the crown not fit with the rest of my teeth sizes, the crown did not even fit over the remaining tooth from my root canal, AND THEY NEVER CEMENTED THE PERMANENT CROWN… So now I have to pay 100’s of more dollars to get a PROPERLY fitted, PROPERLY installed crown. I would never return to Dental Depot nor would I ever recommend anyone to them.

Experiencia negativa: Slow, cleaning wasn't automatically scheduled with my first ever visit. Took 6-xrays so the dentist doesn't have to do any manual inspection so they can roll through customers. Sent me to the lobby once I was done and then recalled me to actually finish my cleaning. Most painful dentist trip I have ever had, hygienist scraped my gums repeatedly. Did not go back to my follow up filling appt and will not be going back.

Experiencia fantástica: Dr. Al-Zubi has been my dentist since around 2015 and has always provided excellent care. He listens to my concerns and is willing to give me different options regarding my care. Just yesterday he gave me two referrals to implant dentists because I’m not pleased with the way my top implants look. Experiencia fantástica: Absolutely had to leave a review! I have been struggling with dentists, medications, and pain for months! The medication causing an ER visit and then a specialist because these past dentists wouldn't listen to me and kept me on them too long. I needed a root canal plain and simple. I couldn't understand why I couldn't get the help I needed. I GOT IT HERE! I went in through an emergency visit just to have them extract a good tooth because I was in so much pain for so long and couldn't get a dentist to do a root canal. HERE they were so empathetic to my situation and and said there's no reason to pull it and we can get you out of pain TODAY!! I CRIED HAPPY TEARS! I was made fully aware of the procedure, the pain, what the end result would be. The dentist and all the assistance were just fantastic. I feel so blessed I was able to get to them! THANK YOU FOR HELPING ME IN MORE WAYS YOU COULD KNOW!!! I am next day pain free, I can start getting back to work, eating, stopping the health issues, and get my mental state healthy!! - a more that grateful patient ***only complaint would be the staff upon arrival. Not friendly at all.

Experiencia negativa: I honestly am still very upset about my visit yesterday. I went to take my 4 kiddos for 4 cleanings. My daughter had a very important project due at school that day and I needed to edit her paper. I planned on doing that while my girls got their teeth cleaned. I asked very nicely for the WiFi password but Zach at the front desk would not give it to me. 30 minutes past our first appointment time when we were still waiting in the waiting room I asked again very nicely basically begging because my hot spot wouldn’t connect to my Mac book and he said no I’m really sorry ma’am. Were you sorry Zach? Cuz I don’t think you were. Finally someone at the desk behind Zach’s said hold on Zach and she gave me the WiFi password. Zach seemed very annoyed that she gave it to me. COMPLETELY RIDICULOUS THAT THEY DIDNT WANT TO ME USE THE WIFI WHEN I WAS PLANNING ON BEING THERE 4 hours!!!! There’s no telling how much our insurance paid for those cleanings yesterday and yet they can’t let patients have access to the WiFi? We didn’t see the same dentist we saw the time before and the female dentist told me all of my girls had multiple cavities that they didn’t have 6 months ago that the last dentist didn’t mention. My girls take amazing care of their teeth so that’s a little suspicious to me. We will be getting a second opinion and thanks to Zach’s attitude we won’t be coming back!
