Experiencia fantástica: I am so happy the VA referred me to Cedar Park Dental & Braces. Everyone in the practice was incredibly nice, and the dentists and dental assistants are so understanding. For someone who didn’t count dental appointments in my list of fun things to do, the staff at CPD&B made the experience much less scary. Friendly, compassionate, thorough, skillful, and kind.

Experiencia fantástica: I haven't even seen them yet and just the customer care patient care from the one person that I talked to at the office tells me that they are doing an awesome job to provide the best care that they possibly can for veterans. Veterans in Community Care is still a fairly new concept and for them to be willing to accept veterans and go through that whole tedious process of dealing with the VA is a plus in itself. That alone should put them into the four-star bracket. As I mentioned I haven't seen them yet but I can tell the care that they put into for the things that I talk to them about that they do and having a VA coordinator, I'm a fastidious person very detail oriented, I had that before I was in the Marines, and I just think that it is extremely important for people to know and other veterans that may come and see this review that these are the very important things for our initial setup of treatment just the way our minds are a little bit different than your average to feel that comfort that you're going to be seen and cared for. I will definitely come back after my appointment and validate my intuition. I have extreme anticipation and intuition skills along with being an empath I have high senses in knowing that this place is the one. Having a dental and Orthodontics wrapped into one office is an extreme bonus. And I will say excuse any grammar and typos I just wanted to put this out here right away and don't have the energy to go back and prove it everything right now, bahaha. I'm just saying so everything I said above isn't invalidated just because I didn't proof my review. ;- D

Every time it was a successful, pain-free, and thorough job. They were working great with my schedule. Prices were reasonable. Kudos to Dr. Ho, Reiner, and Billy. I will continue visiting this office.

Experiencia negativa: Went in for wisdom teeth surgery recently, and the surgery itself was fine, my problem was with the staff. There was no discussion about a payment plan, even though at my previous visit when I asked they confirmed it would be an option. I arrived to the appointment early, just to double check especially after a large down payment taken over the phone, and the women up front looked at me like I was stupid and said, “You pay it all at once.” No room for discussion. I felt embarrassed and angry to have to make a big financial decision on the spot, and honestly I’m not returning to this office again or recommending it to people who can’t drop 1.4k on the spot. To top it all off, the office assumed I was a smoker based off my appearance: I have never smoked anything, I have mental conditions that would react badly to it. I understand you have to ask multiple times due to side effects with recovery and medication, but the additional funny comment to my ride on the way out that I could be smoking again soon…. (???) Overall, this whole experience was humiliating. Just glad it’s over. Word of advice to the staff: be more professional and kind, and improve group communication because what the heck was that.

Experiencia fantástica: I am a new patient and I was so happy with my first visit. The staff are very personable and efficient. I really appreciate that they walked me through my dental plan and clearly laid out the cost options before any work was performed. And the costs are so reasonable compared to my last dentist! They showed me before and after x-rays from my deep cleaning and I was very pleased.

Experiencia positiva: I made an appointment with CP D&B for a third opinion because I felt unsure with my previous dentist and several ‘communication’ issues I had experienced. I was nervous about changing practices, but the great amount I had already invested financially and physically, made it necessary to try and find a a dental practice that helped me feel confident about moving forward. . Because of the amount of possible invasive dental work, my needs were to be sure about the prognosis. As well as find a good diagnostic practice/dentist within my insurance network that communicated well. I did ask for a lot and after much research I found Dr. Ryan Ho. I read the dozens of positive reviews and was able to secure an appointment for the next day. I am pretty relieved after my initial appointment and am grateful that my search took me to CPD&B dental practice. I gave four and a half stars instead of five essentially because I haven’t had the needed dental work yet. Also, I had a bit of a wait in chair before seeing the dentist which bothered my previously fractured back. However, they had no way of knowing about my back issues and Dr. Ho took a great amount of time with me so I assume that is what he affords all of his patients so this isn’t a complaint as much as just an honest assessment. Dr. Ho was quite knowledgeable , personable, and adequately communicated the possible scenarios to being able to keep the tooth that is troubling me. The admin staff was very clear about explaining total costs and insurance/patient portion which I hadn’t experienced at my previous dentist. I have great hopes…

Dental assistants Rainev and Auber were fantastic—professional, attentive, and making sure I was comfortable every step of the way. You could tell they really care about their patients. And then there's Dr. Ryan Ho — what a gem. He is incredibly patient, takes his time to explain everything clearly, and honestly has a magic touch. I've had anxiety about dental visits in the past, but Dr. Ho made the whole experience feel effortless and pain-free. You can tell he genuinely cares about his patients' comfort and well-being. Experiencia negativa: I would give this place a no stars if that was an option. My appointment was at 1240P, I waited in the patient room until 30-min past my appointment start time when I decided to leave. They did not come check on me to see if the excessive wait was okay with my time, and had me in a patient room with a broken instrument that was beeping every 10-seconds. When I went up to the receptionist to re-book time, they were extremely rude and did not show any empathy for my frustration. I asked if it was common to have such an excessive wait, one of them answered that it can happen stating that the dr was in surgey. I asked if they built any buffers into their schedules to accomdate for such things and their response is "things happen". I would not be as frustrated if they had checked on me during my 30-min wait to ensure the timeline still fit into my schedule, and would have appreciated an acknowledgement of the excessive wait time. I asked for next availability to reschedule, and was told it was a month out. I will be using a different oral surgeon, and they were able to get me in much quicker. On top of the above, the interaction prior to my appointment was also less than stellar. I get everyone has a bad day, however from start to finish it was a very poor experience.

Experiencia fantástica: Nice people with very professional Dental Hygiene Practice with the latest technology equipment. First time in my life I left a dentist office happy with everything they helped me with.

Experiencia positiva: First I will want to make it clear that the Dentist here is great. They are professional and has done a great job on our teeth. But the admin of this place is a mess. 1. When my husband arrived for the appointment they said the appointment doesn’t exist(I have a text message confirmation). 2. I have asked them to check and verify my insurance is covered for this visit for me and my daughter and I was told there is no issue. 3 month later I got a message and bill saying my daughter wasn’t covered and I had to cover the payment myself. Which I wouldn’t have went for the cleaning visit if I knew it wasn’t covered. Such a disappointment. I will pay the bill, but my family is definitely not going back.

Experiencia negativa: My husband went to get a tooth removal on Monday 12/22. The dentist told us it would take 5 minutes. We were there for 2 hours. They then informed me that he had “very small” root tip that the dentist stuck up into his sinus area in his cheek by repeating to attempt to get the root out. (They also informed it may work itself out on its own) They then gave up and informed us to see an oral surgeon as soon as possible to get it out. They rushed him out the door with no gauze in his mouth no paper work for after care no pain medications NOTHING what so ever! I had to call back and ask for pain meds as he was in extreme pain, and ask for some gauze and the syringe to clean his mouth hours later and I had to go back to the office. I also asked for them to assist with the new bill I would have to pay with having to see a specialist now due to them pushing the tooth so far up trying to get a piece of tooth out of my husbands mouth for 2 hours is way way WAY to long! They did inform us of a list of oral surgeons to go too unfortunately none covered under our insurance. I finally found someone the day after and due to holidays were not able to be seen until Monday 12/29 the following week. I called the office again to ask for an update on them assisting with my bill for the specialist the front desk personnel informed me no answer was made as of yet. They did not ask for my name or number to call me back so I assume they think I am going to give up WRONG! They did call my husband and apologized that they “FORGOT” to offer that they had an oral surgeon 1 or 2 days AFTER they rushed us out the door on Monday!!! The new surgeon informed us the “very small” root tip was very LARGE! Not something that could work itself out. They did inform when removing the LARGE root tip that he was developing a sinus infection and a lot of puss was in the cavity that the previous dentist from cedar park dental and braces did. I had to pay 1175.20 for the new dentist to assist him. I want cedar park dental and braces to pay my out of pocket bill for all the issues and hardship my husband has had to endure with THEIR MISTAKE! I expect a call back asap from this review.

Experiencia fantástica: I noticed I had an abscess in my gums and called 9 different dentists around the area the day before Christmas Eve. This place was the only one who squeezed me in so I wouldn’t have to go the Christmas holiday without antibiotics. Everyone was so nice and patient. I believe I will be switching dentists and making the drive from north Austin.

Experiencia fantástica: I had an emergency tooth issue; and, was fortunate that I was able to get a last minute appointment with Dr A. Muniz, especially so close to the holiday season. She and her staff were absolutely caring and wonderful during a same day surgery. Their offices are clean and well maintained. At that time, there was no billing issues.

Experiencia fantástica: Made my way back to the dentist after 7 years of not going and Cedar Park Dental and Braces created a judgment-free environment and helped me feel fully at ease despite my long absence from the dentist. After my first cleaning and a round of xrays, I ended up needing 8 cavities filled over two sessions and they were the absolute best from start to finish. Dr. Ho and the techs/hygienists were kind, knowledgeable, thorough, and made sure I was informed and at ease throughout the entire process. I am really pleased with my experience.

Experiencia negativa: I went to Cedar Park Dental and Braces and they prepared a dental plan that covered my costs associated with my treatment. I paid all bills when incurred in full. 60 days after my last treatment I received a bill for over $1100. Evidently they needed more more money and added charges to my services. Beware of these people. Their billing practices are unethical at best and very well be illegal. They are defrauding the public. What they fail to respond to, is how can a patient who pays his bill in full at the time of service owe $1100 more 60 days after paying the bill. FYI the front office confirms insurance co-pay at the time the bill is paid. There is no reason for this late billing other than a patient ripoff. When I attempted to sue them for this fraudulent inducement to say that I had insurance coverage for the procedure and then bill me saying oops they made a mistake, they have refused to give me the agent for service for pursing them legally. I am a 79 year old senior on a fixed income and I cannot afford this unexpected fraudlent charge on my budget. You better have a good income source to pay their charges or you will find yourself on food stamps.

Dr. Ho and Rainer were very professional and compassionate throughout the entire treatment process, frequently checking with me to make sure I was doing okay especially during one of the longer procedures. I appreciated the combination of their sincerity and excellent dental skills. Christy and the entire front office staff were very helpful and provided me with the documentation I needed for my insurance reimbursement. I truly appreciate the services I received and the care with the care with which they were delivered.

It’s rare in dentistry to find practitioners who are truly gentle, and Hannah was extremely gentle during my cleaning. If I could book Hannah every time, I absolutely would. Recently, I needed STL files for a custom mouth guard, and the staff didn’t rest until they were able to export and share them with me. Experiencia fantástica: I was in excruciating pain when I arrived at the clinic. Alex was so gentle and very sensitive to my pain and anxiety. She was very efficient during the entire process of taking my xrays. So attentive to ensuring I was comfortable. Amber assisted Dr.Muniz with my tooth extraction. Again, very attentive, gentle and explained every step in detail. I am 73 years old, and have seen many dentists in my lifetime, but Dr. Muniz was the first to really make me feel at ease during the entire procedure. Constantly asking me if I was okay and assuring me I doing good. She was so attentive to pain level and her soft gentle touch and voice were so calming. What a team! Everyone from the time I initially walked in the door, the front desk until when I checked out were very friendly and attentive...I am home resting and am so thankful that several people on the Lago Vista Community page (fb) recommended Cedar Park Dental and Braces. They were 100% spot on ... best place for Emergency Care. Thank you to everyone that cared for me today.

Experiencia negativa: While the staff was kind of nice and I don't know about the braces, unfortunately I would not recommend this place for dental work. (I just looked up somewhere to get dental work done, and went to the closest place at the time without looking into the reviews, so I guess that was my mistake..) But I went in for a basic cleaning before my health insurance expired under my dad; and it confused me how they needed an xray for just a basic cleaning, but I went along with it.. They ended up focusing on a tooth that wasn't causing me any pain, on the right side, when the only slight pain I had was actually on the left side.. Didn't know any better so I just went along with it; and I understand taking preventative measures in general, but I ended up spending over $3,000 for a tooth that wasn't even hurting, because they said by the xrays that it needed a root canal.. They gave me a couple crowns as well, but the only thing is, every time I went in they kept having someone else work on me. So every time I sat in the chair for at least 4 hours, while another dentist showed up to work on me. And for at least 3-4 different visits, when I went in for them to put the final crown on one tooth-- they would drill on that tooth again, and tell me to come back later because they sent for another crown.. And they REPEATED this on the same tooth at least THREE separate times... (Once again, sitting in the chair for 3-4 hours for EVERY visit...) I gave up on that tooth all together so I still have the temporary crown; but another crown that they worked on 2-3 times, there was a "gap" from the top of the crown and my gum line. I asked the dentist at the time why there's a gap, between the gum line and the tooth they just drilled down, and he didn't see any issue with it. And to no surprise, a few weeks later that very tooth developed an infection from plaque building up in that very gap, that I had to go find another dentist I could actually trust to treat the failed dental work I recieved here... I did not finish paying my bill with them considering how much they charged me for something I never went in for, and how much failed work I recieved here, because unfortunately coming here only gave me more dental work that now needs fixing... And a year later I'm still trying to find the funds to go back to a real dentist, because I originally had slight pain in the left side of my mouth, and only after they charged me several thousand dollars for pain I was never having on the right side, did I get an infection on the left side from a cavity I guess they never noticed... (Luckily I was able to gargle with warm saltwater to help that infection, as now I'm out of money..) But unfortunately going to this dentist only gave me more issues that I never had to begin with, and now I have to find the funds $$ to go back to a REAL dentist, to receive "corrective work" for the work I did receive here...

Their lab does great work. Dental assistant Alex was very sweet and experienced also. Highly recommend. Worth the drive from Austin to Cedar Park.

Experiencia fantástica: I was referred to Doctor Ho (Cedar Park Dental & Braces) by the Department of Veterans Affairs. Great team of professionals with a state-of-the-art facility and the newest technology. I was greeted and seen promptly. My hygienist, Ashley, was amazing. She listened to my concerns as a combat Marine with PTSD and made my visit pain free. Doctor Ho was experienced, knowledgeable, and kind. He clearly articulated my future dental care plan and our approach. I highly recommend them.

Experiencia negativa: Please do not do business with them at all. I am trying to get my Veneers fixed. They ghost me don't reply or call back. I have been using super glue on my teeth. I am very frustrated spent over $7000 and this is the service i get. I sent them email and letter no reply. I will take action now. Disappointed how they don't care for patient and my Dr moved from location no one wants to fix his work. Whole staff just wants your money but when it comes to service they don't care. Stay away from this place they will leave you hanging after taking your money. This is my first review i gave them chances since January to fix this. Actually this is my first negative review in my life. Bad customer service and bad management. No one is taking charge to take care of client who is going through misery everyday. I am going to find a lawyer to get this resolved i think. Each year, around 3,900 dentists are sued for dental malpractice. These lawsuits help injured victims recover the compensation they need when their dental care provider fails them.

She checked on me, brought me water, and even gave me a pillow to help me feel more comfortable. Alexandra, Dr. Muniz’s assistant, was also incredibly kind and attentive, making sure I had everything I needed and helping me relax during the procedure. Dr. Muniz was gentle, patient, and always made sure I was okay. She did an excellent job with both extractions, including a wisdom tooth. Thank you all for the amazing care!

Experiencia fantástica: I've been going to this dental office for the past 4 years, and have enjoyed every experience. I recently stopped by for a cleaning, and unfortunately found out I had a cavity. Ugh! I've had horrible experiences with numbing during any dental work, so knowing I had to get a filling done was daunting, but the team took all the worries away. Ms. Han was nice and respectful getting me set up, Brittany was thorough and efficient with the cleaning. Dr. Ho and Kelsey took the greatest care during the procedure, ensured that I would be comfortable, and reassured me that I would have no issues following the work. It's been 2 weeks now, and I've had no problems with my teeth. Til the next appointment!

Experiencia negativa: I’m not someone to leave a review like this, but my experience with this Cedar Park Dental has been absurd. I will say I came here for a dental emergency back in January, and the experience was fine. After that, I decided to come back for a cleaning. This is where it all went downhill. I first get there about 10 minutes early, hoping they might be able to take me back early. I end up waiting in the front 30 minutes past my appointment time. Once they take me back, they said I needed to take x-rays. I told them I believe I thought I had them recently and my insurance covers them once a year. They looked at me like a crazy person and said they think they’re covered but unsure. I asked them to please verify if they’re covered before I take them. They then proceed to leave me in the exam room for an hour before coming back and saying no it’ll be fine. You should go ahead and get them. I agreed just to get on with everything. I then am taken back to the exam room after the x-rays and that the doctor would be in shortly. I end up waiting another almost hour for the dentist before I ultimately stood up and decided to leave. They apologized for my experience that day and said they were busy. Even after all of that, I still didn’t leave a review to give them the benefit of the doubt. This was in May. Fast forward to today, I went another office and needed them to share my X-rays with my new dentist. They told me they weren’t able to send over the X-rays as separate files and could only share a screenshot. Obviously my new dentist said this format or the X-rays is not standard or ideal for an exams. I called them asking if they could accommodate and share the raw files, and they refused. Do not go here!

That’s too bad because otherwise they’re a great place. Looks like they fixed their communication, but they need a new dental surgeon who can commit to the schedule especially when you have to wait an entire month. Waited exactly 32min for my appointment. Asked the desk for a status, turns out they still had not checked me in, they took my money, then they told me it would be another 1 hour wait. A heads up or more communication would have been appreciated. Canceled and not coming back. If they had simply told me they were behind that badly when I walked in, I would have rescheduled.

I scheduled my daughter’s wisdom tooth extraction and waited a full month for the appointment. The day of, we arrived only to be told the doctor wasn’t in — and that they had “called to cancel,” which was absolutely untrue. No voicemail, no missed call, no email. We rescheduled and waited another month. On the day of the second appointment, they called—just hours before the visit—asking to reschedule again because they were running behind. I explained we couldn’t afford to wait another month, so they pushed the appointment back by four hours… and we still waited over two more hours in the lobby. We finally saw a doctor and scheduled surgery. I took time off work and so did my daughter. Less than 24 hours before the surgery, they canceled again. This was not only incredibly inconvenient but also completely unacceptable, especially considering they had already charged me over $400. I tried to work with them to find a solution, but after three unanswered emails and zero follow-up, I asked for a full refund. Not only did they not return the full amount, but they claimed I owed them money — despite never sending a bill or EOB from my insurance. When I requested documentation, the manager refused and said I had signed a contract allowing them to withhold money. I never signed any such agreement, and when I asked to see the document, she hung up on me. This is not how you treat patients or families. Poor communication, zero accountability, and unethical billing practices. I strongly advise others to stay away.

Even though I needed a root canal, I am very grateful Dr. Ho was able to save my tooth, not requiring an extraction and bridge as another dentist recommended. Root canals are not fun, but he made it as painless as possible and it was done in a professional and efficient manner. Also the assistant was very kind and helpful and did a great job. I definitely recommend Cedar Park Dental and Dr. Ho. All the office staff members were friendly, helpful and responsive.

She made me feel at ease and even had me laughing (which is so unlike me I get a lot of anxiety at the dentist) I also saw Dr. Ho who took special care to go over my teeth and made a plan I felt comfortable with. Experiencia negativa: Unfortunately, I can't give a good review because the crown they made for me didn’t fit, and I had to wait another month for them to remake it. After that, they glued the new one in, but I had to travel all the way back from Dallas for them to glue it again. Now, the crown is off again. Not to mention how many trips I had to make in December just to have the provisional crown glued back on. Long story short, I still don’t have the crown, and the whole process took from December to February. The staff was friendly, and the place is comfortable and pretty, but I still don’t have the crown. I’m now waiting for my refund to go somewhere else.

Experiencia negativa: If there was a zero star choice, I would have picked that. I had an appt for a routine cleaning. 30 minutes after my scheduled appt time, I was called back. X-rays were taken and the dentist came in, reviewed the film, chatted briefly about my teeth and gave me a referral. Then the lady who did my x-rays came back and said, “I know you came in today for a cleaning but the doctor wanted me to let you know that all of our hygienists are busy with other patients. We can reschedule you to come back.” My husband was also told, after x-rays, that they couldn't clean his teeth. However, they offered to do $400 worth of other dental work they said he needed. Insurance has been notified and a fraud report has been made. I will NEVER go back to this office again!!! And i would NEVER recommend it to anyone!

They were extremely accommodating to me since I had a newborn at home and wasn’t able to be stuck waiting. They made sure to schedule me with little to no wait time. When I arrived I noticed how clean and modern the office was. It was refreshing to be met with pleasant staff whom were eager to help you. Once I got into the chair, there were many new technologies that made the visit go smoothly. I had the pleasure of Dr. Ryan to treat me. He’s an excellent Dr. he’s intelligent, calm, confident in his work and most importantly, honest. He took his time evaluating me to figure out the best route for treatment. Had to shuffle our personal life (school drop off, meetings) to accommodate this. Reached there at 8 and was told I have to wait a little bit. When asked, I was told can't see a doctor until 10AM. Such a pathetic service. Never coming back here.

They are always so knowledgeable and wanting to spread knowledge but in the most respectful manner. I really do look forward to my appointments. Experiencia fantástica: Personally I had a great experience here - My sister is a dentist outside of Texas and recommended this office for my needs. Dr Stimmler helped me tremendously with TMJ pain by recommending a mouth guard custom fit to my bite. WOW! It worked and I no longer wake up with tight jaw muscles. I had no idea a guard would help this much. His expertise really shines through- I remember he cracks a lot of dad jokes and makes you feel comfortable. Know you’re in good hands - dental care is expensive so prepare to pay what you need and deal with insurance. That’s not the offices fault it’s insurance in general so give dentists leeway here. No healthcare system has it easy with insurance companies.

Funny thing is, I had tried to call them the same day but no-one picked up. That is it, adding it to the repeated issues with enormous wait times while they go deal with other patients in the middle of the appointment, and having to come multiple times for simple things like a cleaning. The office is fancy and the staff friendly, but I'd rather not have to waste hours of my time for a simple cleaning. It's clear that I need a new dentist now.

I distinctly insisted I pay all payments due at the time of service. The billing person at that time assured me that I had paid all that was owed. Well 8 months later, I was shocked to get a bill for $2000.00. I call and share that it was impossible because I was told I was paid in full and hadn’t been to the office in months. Fortunately, I keep an Attorney on retainer for this type of nonsense. So, I gladly proceeded to give my Attorney’s number. Then she asks me to hold on. She looks at the account and then explains that the entire front office is new due to billing issues with the previous team. Then she tells me my claim was never submitted and that explains it and that I shouldn’t owe. On August 23rd, I call to see if they’ve cleared up their billing. To my surprise, we are back to the you owe $2000.00. The person, I am talking to then goes on to say, “I use to be in insurance, let ME tell you how this works” like he or she is some expert. Plus, here I am talking to an office where they’ve already admitted incompetence. I told them, I will not ever pay them because I was told and given paperwork for a 0 balance during that time. In fact this office is so money hungry for payment, they chat with you when you are in the dental chair. Today, I have given my Attorneys name again. [Yes, Cedar Park Dental & Braces, it’s on your recording and yes, I will send you a letter on top of that. But you better not send me anymore correspondence since I’ve given you my Attorney’s name. If you are unclear of what I mean, you’d better look up the FDCPA!!!] Back to my review…Within moments of my hanging up today they sent me back to back emails after telling me I owe $2000 like it would scare me. This is months after it had stopped when I was told again a few months ago that this was resolved. In essence, the office person today basically harassed me with repeated emails. So, my advice, don’t go here. If you do, get your lawyer ready because they will bill you incorrectly. What is sad, I’ve now read all of these reviews where they have put people in financial distress with their billing incompetence. I am curious how does the dentist/owner sleep at night?

While I was initially a huge fan and supporter, either as a result of the significant turnover they've experienced, or simply the growth in their business, the quality of their service has declined significantly. They just don't seem to offer that same level of customer care that I had become accustomed to (and was thrilled with). My original doctor was Dr. Tarzi, amazing dentist, the best dentist I've seen in my 50+ years of visiting the dentist (she is now gone, I believe she is still in Austin - need to track her down), then I was moved to Dr. Stimler (who was "fine", no real complaints, but definitey lacked that wow factor that I got from Dr. Tarzi, but he is also now gone), then was moved to Dr. Muniz (BAD experience, she lacks empathy and compassion for her patients, is rushed, and does sloppy work), so I'm now moving to my fourth dentist in four years (no idea who it is, not even listed on their website right now - that speaks volumes). I was thrilled when I originally came across this place (randomly), Dr. Tarzi was special, as was the staff at the time (now gone as well). Since then, it's been a slippery slope, ending with a pretty lousy experience. There are lots and lots of dentists in the area, I would advise readers to consider other places before visiting Cedar Park Dental and Braces. After four years, I know I will be.

Experiencia negativa: Disclaimer: lengthy review. Where do I even begin? Let’s start with I have never had any issues with a dentist before. In fact, I prided myself on enjoying going to dental visits. No prior experience could touch my recent experience at Cedar Park Dental and Braces with a 10ft pole. When I returned to have services provided this year one assistant was overwhelmingly insistent about my emergent need of dental work. Fine, if I need the work, I’ll get it done. Her pushiness was extremely offensive, though. That dental work wound up being a two-part procedure where (1) I wasn’t fully told what the issue was, and (2) it’d eventually cost me intense pain and lots of money. About a month after the procedures wrapped up, I experienced intermittent pain at a level 8. Dr. Muniz considered it to be “You need a mouth guard because you’re grinding your teeth and people don’t realize how teeth grinding negatively affects you.” I wasn’t sold. The pain I experienced didn’t compute with teeth grinding. I was recommend OTC ibuprofen. The pain persisted and I was finally offered a steroid but not without having to juggle getting someone to answer the phone, return my calls, or respond to a text. The steroid helped, or so I thought. A few weeks after the first flare up the second flare up came that kept me at a level 8-9 pain. I’d call and leave voicemails, I’d text, no one was taking me seriously. As a matter of fact, Sherrika, the Office Manager, called me once to confirm the second round of steroids and her tone on the phone displayed her level of disbelief. Someone else was in the car with me when she phoned me and pointed that out about Sherrika. I went back for a follow-up visit and again it was stated that I was grinding but now a new addition had been disclosed to me: I needed a more extensive procedure. Ironically, this “new discovery” wasn’t shared with me prior to the two-part procedure. Dr. Muniz recommended a mouth guard and ibuprofen. By this time, I am hopelessly disappointed in no one listening to me when I explain the pain. The pain grew so severe it spread across my gums, my jawline, and my ear. After calling and leaving a voicemail, I got Dr. Muniz who now figured the pain was real and what was prescribed before wasn’t sufficient. Now, I got to have an antibiotic. Well, that didn’t work. I suffered in agony day by day pain increasing and spreading to a different part of my mouth and face. Not a single person at the dental office called to check on me or had the decency, compassion, or competence to say, “Let’s get him an emergency visit!” You’d think after hearing I was at a steady level 8-9 pain someone would have surely acted upon that. I was out of town on a business trip in excruciating pain yet I trusted my doctor. Still, the pain was too much to bear so I asked to be seen as soon as I returned home. I got a text confirmation stating I could be seen 6/17 at 3:50p. I would have preferred an earlier visit but I endured the weekend until Monday came. Well, Sunday came and I couldn’t stand it any longer. I visited an urgent care to have an injection done there and was advised to take a certain amount of ibuprofen. Monday 6/17 finally arrives and I am ready for the issue to be resolved only to discover (1) There was no appointment and (2) I needed a procedure Dr. Muniz could not provide. Let’s back up to (1). The receptionist that day was beyond dismissive and anything but displayed the core values of the brand. The office manager was present and didn’t ask me how things were or even tried to salvage a bad situation. When I called on 6/18 to sever my services there, again, Sherrika, did not take accountability. While I don’t believe there was ill intent, there was glaring negligence on multiple fronts from this office and its workers. Said negligence cost me over a month of intense pain and hundreds of dollars I cannot get back. Do you plan on refunding me the money I spent to have frivolous work done that now I have to pay someone else to undo then redo again?

I love cedar park dental! here are the pros: - everything is electronic, all paperwork, imaging, everything - staff and doctors are awesome, Silvia and Ghamsari are the best team! they make me feel so at ease. - no hard sell, nothing I hate more than being pressured into procedures, but here they lay it all out on the table and let you take responsibility for your health UPDATE: 5/28/2024 why is there always a catch? though the dentist and staff are great, the money side of it is not. After my first visit, during checkout, I was assured that they had worked with my insurance before. I specifically asked if we needed pre-approvals for anything, and again I was assured that they routinely work with my insurance and everything was fine, well fool me once I guess. a whole 6 months after the procedure I get a bill for close to 1000.00 dollars, I had already payed a bunch of money out of pocket, just for the right side of my mouth, and still needed to do the left side. I decided to wait, thank god, to get some more money in my HSA before continuing, when I got this mystery bill. I called, and as always got the answering machine. left a message, got a call back, the bill was adjusted down to 500.00 but we decided to wait, because they were going to appeal. When I asked what happened? why insurance had denied, I got a big "we don't know, sometimes it happens" I have since found out that this is a common tactic of many corporate owned (sometimes owned by the insurance companies) dentist offices. Don't be fooled, they look like they are privately owned but they are not. Anyway, I went in around march for 6 month dental cleaning, and got greeted by another 50 dollar payment. This may the bill came back, again for almost 1k. magically goes up and then down, the up again. So I called to get the status of the appeal and I no one ever returned my call. I have paid the final bill. I reached out to my insurance and they should have submitted the x-rays first and asked for prior authorization. They didnt do that, and just left me on the hook for it. In the end I payed close to 3500 out of pocket for 3 crowns, plus whatever my insurance paid. I think my out of pocket alone is close to what google says is market cost. So I guess their profit is that plus insurance. the lesson here is make sure you understand your insurance processes, dont trust the dentist billing department. Always, always ask if they are corporate owned or independent. Some will try to be "smart" and say all dentist make corporations. If you can stay away from corporate owned dentist practices, though its getting harder and harder.

I especially appreciate how Dr. Muniz provided step by step communication as to my treatment plan, and really took her time explaining my plan as well as making sure I was relaxed (as best as possible for me) by time my exam and treatment plan was over, the anxiety had gone, and I was much calmer. The office was super clean and very well maintained. My hygienist, Gregory, was quick with the extensive X-rays we had to do, and he was very attentive and kind with the rest of my cleaning. My dentist, Dr. Muniz, was so kind, gentle, and communicative. It was truly the best experience I have ever had at a dentist office and I am so happy to have found them. I cannot recommend this office enough.

Experiencia negativa: I had a appointment scheduled and even put down a deposit, I day before they called me and I was unable to answer they were calling to confirm my appointment which I thought was good to go then I get another text canceling stating that since I didn’t confirm they are canceled it. I called and questioned why did they do that if I had already booked and paid a deposit I would assume that was my commitment for my appointment, with no valid explanation I just told them to refund my deposit they stated that refunds only process on Fridays. That information was never disclosed and when I asked why is it she said so that way there isn’t any mishaps with refunds or one doesn’t get missed. All I know is I’m extremely disappointed with the service it’s left nothing but a bad taste in my mouth about this company.

Although I hadn’t been to the dentist in quite a few years I felt comfortable and at-ease with the staff being so friendly and welcoming! Everyone was so patient and willing to explain anything I had questions about to make sure I understood all of the procedures. The hygienist, assistants, and dentist herself were all very attentive and made sure I was comfortable during my visit (at one point they even got me a blanket because I was cold)! While it may have been a while since I’d seen a dentist my positive experience with CPDB will definitely have me back soon (even though it’s like pulling teeth to get me to go—joke intended)! Great atmosphere, great staff, and a great overall dental visit. If I could give them 10 stars I would!
