It takes them a LONG TIME to call me to then just tell me that they can only get my X-rays done, not my dental cleaning or anything else because of how busy they are. So I had to schedule my cleaning for another day which will take another couple of hours. The whole staff lacks communication skills. The DR. Is nice overall but is that enough? Not for me..

Experiencia negativa: DO NOT GO HERE! If I could give 0 stars I would. This office and staff have no customer services skills. Not only that but when I became a patient they told me that they reached out to my insurance, everything would be covered, and it was good to go. I later found out that this was not true and they charged me $400+ for one cleaning. They told me I would pay that one time since it was my first time and insurance would cover it in the future, but that was not true and the next time I went in for a cleaning they were giving me the same charge amount. In addition, I used their ortho services and when I went in for a consultation, they pushed me to get the braces on although I had refused. I tried getting out of it by telling them I had to be somewhere and didn’t have time, but they told me that it was okay if I was running late to where I was going. Finally, it’s very odd to me that they have “no phone usage” signs plastered on the walls at every operating chair. I have never seen this at any dentist office in the past but now it makes sense with the crap they try to pull. Please save yourself time and money and go to another dentist office if you can.

Experiencia negativa: i read all the reviews prior to coming. Since i do reviews i wanted to give u all my experiences and a full review. Regarding the negative review about the staff in front being rude. i don't think she is rude. If you make her smile and approach her friendly she'll open, even smile and laugh abit. I have been visiting almost every 2 weeks for last 3 months n she seemed nice n even worked on my teeth too. the other staff is friendly as well. the dentist are hard working n are friendly for the most part. they do accept most insurrance like caloptima n medicare so that was a huge plus. this place is nice, clean, has many dental rooms, and plenty of space. here's the bad part. ready for it? i feel the dentist are time restricted n that western dental accepts too many clients giving little space or enough time frame in-between patients. I am not a dentist nor a student but i do have many friends and relatives that are which i have use as referrence both before and after all my exams. I however do have over 15+ years expience in management and I feel Western Dental needs to focus on in between patient time frame. They need to give not only the front staff but the dentist more time in between patients. i feel every visit is rushed and minor details are skipped to save time for the next patient. The dentist do have experience but because they have so many clients, i feel their abit exhausted n in some visits i feel their energy and demeanor change. i had deep cleaning done months ago n only took 10mins while other places take 45mins to an hour. no scraping done or no detailed cleaning. it felt very fast n my teeth felt very gritty. I know its normal to have some grit but i could even see all the plaque using and endoscope n recorded it before and after. It didn't look like anything was done if little at all. about 2 or 3 weeks later i got a polish done and they all they did was place some gritty cleaning solution on each tooth n air sprayed n done within 5 mins. they didnt even polish the inside portion of the my out and only did the front portion. Every dentist i went to that wasnt western dental, used a electric polish on each tooth n took 30 mins to 45mins with some scaling. this place did it in 5 mins with no physical brushing. They applied cleaner, sprayed it off. (keep in mind my relatives are also dentist so i asked them their opinion and they told me that isn't normal especially for a deep cleaning. sometimes normal to high pressured air during a polish but typically they used a rotating brush per tooth because air pressure is usually recommended for sensitive teeth which wasn't an issue for me.) I had a few crowns done n they did a decent job. i only recommend this place if your insurance is limited or only allows some dental options. i will not be coming back here not even for cleaning or simple check up. i would only come here for braces or minor cavities, front crowns or front root canals as well as general check up. For anything back tooth related or for scaling, deep cleaning or polishing, based on my 3 months experience going every 3 weeks, i say find some other place. My only hope is Western Dental prioritize more on quality instead of quantity of patients. i felt like i was at a quick oil change shop. the staff n dentist there do work hard. They just need more time in between patients so they can give more quality time to every patient. this will help overall joy of their job n less stress worrying a out how much time they have to finish before they need to see another patient. If not have more Qualified dentist on the clock to put less pressure on the only 2 main dentist that were there. 3 out of 5 stars

Experiencia negativa: I am a new patient, and my appointment was scheduled for 11:30 a.m. I arrived early to complete the paperwork, but I was informed that I would need to wait an additional hour before seeing the doctor. I was confused because I received only one phone call a few hours before my appointment, and there was no clear explanation about any schedule changes. I also did not receive a text message or voicemail. Unfortunately, the staff member at the information desk was not helpful and came across as rude. She stated that the issue was my fault, even though it seemed to be a scheduling problem. Overall, this experience was disappointing. Don’t waste time

Experiencia negativa: This dental office has been one of the worst dental offices I have been to. The manager of this office was rude and disrespectful. She started by telling me there fees for every service as if I was asking for free services. Not to mention no one greeted me when I walked in or asked if I was being helped or asked to help me. I have dental insurance and I made the appointment because fees or not I am willing to pay for the services provided. she went on to tell me not everything is covered and again that there is fees for everything and when I asked how much I was going to pay for the first initial consultation she couldn’t even tell me. There was another person there she was very nice and was trying to help me when the manager steps in wouldn’t let the other person help me and starts telling me if I have a problem or question to she had previously said she can clarify herself and wouldn’t let her other staff communicate with me then told her she would take care of the situation when all I wanted to know if I was going to be charged and how much since she kept saying there’s fees for everything. Then I decided to leave and not get any services done with this dental office because of how rude and disrespectful the manager was she then started talking about my children. As to when I got very upset because who is she to talk about my under age children. Worst worst experience ever. and just to clarify I not once used any foul language toward her or the other staff. It’s sad how many of your negative reviews are about insurance and billing and staff not doing their job in explaining what the charges are if any before any services are done. This office only seems to care about money and not patient satisfaction.

Experiencia negativa: I had two teeth extracted at this location and was sent home with medication that did nothing to relieve my pain. The next morning, the office was closed for the entire day, and I was routed to an overflow call center. When I asked if they had an emergency dental line, I was told they do not. After visiting the ER, I was informed that only the facility where the procedure was performed could legally prescribe the medication I needed. The following day, when I called Western Dental again, I was told they “don’t think it should be painful” and that I should “just wait two days.” When I expressed that my pain was severe and my concerns were not being taken seriously, the receptionist initially said the doctor would send something to my pharmacy. Moments later, I received a call stating the doctor “just got a new cell phone” and was therefore unable to prescribe anything. There was no contingency plan for such a basic, foreseeable issue — a fact that is both troubling and deeply unprofessional. Eventually, they said they would try to locate the original doctor who performed the extractions. The manager then told me, “I cannot do anything about you not trusting us,” instead of offering any apology or accountability. This is not a minor inconvenience — this is a failure in pain management, follow-up care, and patient safety protocols. If this can happen to me, it can happen to any patient. Western Dental’s inability to provide timely, adequate care in a post-surgical situation raises serious concerns about their commitment to patient well-being. As a patient, I am aware that post-operative pain management is a fundamental part of standard dental care, and failure to provide it can have serious consequences. I am documenting this experience so other patients — and those responsible for oversight — can see exactly what occurred.

Experiencia negativa: The kids specialist was so rough on my daughter. She was screaming and he made numerous mistakes such as using a larger sized needle than necessary then changing the size and not having proper tools ready, then after treatment was almost completed, grabbed the inside of her mouth with tweezers removing a chunk of skin. My daughter was distraught and he was so rough. I do not recommend anyone bring their child here. They do not care. When I tried to file a grievance, corporate spoke over me and told me I needed to be more patient with her. Worst escalation process I’ve ever experienced in the medical field. Doctors need to be accountable to their patients too. Sadly I have sat on hold on the phone while writing this since patient care is not a priority.

Experiencia negativa: They seem money driven. They make it hard to get medication based off looks I guess. They had pulled 4 of my wisdom teeth and proscribed ibreprofun. I soon found out my pain tolerance was weak and this was the single most pain I ever endured. When I came back and asked for something a bit stronger clearly in pain. They wouldn't write me any other prescription. They also used stitches that don't dissolve knowing it would cause more extra distress. I then went to the emergency room all within one hour. And within 20 minutes I was out the emergency with the correct proscription I NEEDED. in other words they value what your willing to buy and spend more then helping the customers. As I sit in here listening to other customers having similar issues. Communication is low. Can't really have a conversation with from office because they feel some type of way and catch attitude when you want to simply help yourself the way they should. I never raised my voice in the office, to be treated like a lesser patient.

Experiencia negativa: I had previously made a review about this place the staff the day I got my wisdom teeth extracted were helpful and nice but received a bill later with no description of what I’m paying just labeled “down payment”. I thought my insurance didn’t cover my wisdom teeth removal but they did. Called their corporate office they told me the amount and the so called services I was being changed for.I was being charged services that I did not want or needed $946 for a gum treatment and $499 for a bone replacement I just wanted the services that my insurance covered. The wisdom teeth removal. Was told I was going to get a call back from the manager for the past week just to be told by someone else that the manager doesn’t speak on the phone only by appointments on Thursdays. Please make sure you ask for an itemized bill before paying.

They will lie left n right about your insurance and tell you your insurance doesn’t cover certain things to push you to their in house financing option. They’ll come up with some sleazy scheme saying that they have a promotion for that day only but it’s all fake. We decided to go somewhere and immediately they told us we are covered with the insurance for orthodontics. This place will scam you to put more money in their pockets.

They didn’t care about anything and said, “You have to win.” Why do they have appointments if they don’t care about punctuality? They also said to me, “One time there was a person in front of me and the next time there were two people and you had to wait a long time.” I felt as if there was special treatment for the best or their relatives, for example. Very bad treatment.

Didnt want to provide me with a written copy of my future dental work. After they put a temporary filling that came off within minuets. I tried calling back i was placed on hold twice for like 10min i even chose to be called back never happened finally when i reached someone they were rude to me after explaining to them what had happened and if they could put the temperary filling back on because it was making my tounge bleed and she rudely said we cant it only once you cant come back we wont put it back on it only once. When clearly they did not do a good job. I called again a second time around the lady was nicer. But still told me to wait. I have an appt mon oct 14. For alot of work to be tooth extraction wisdom tooth all and 4 root canal ect. I will not be coming back you lost a client. If you cant help me with a small issue i cant trust you with a major job.

Experiencia negativa: Went in with major pain in hopes that they could do something but because I didn't have an appointment they couldn't see me (I totally understand). So I made an appointment the earliest they could see me was 9 days later. Arrived to my scheduled appointment at 11am, to be told that they can't see me till 2pm. I explained to them I took the day off to be seen at 11, I'm not able to come back at 2 because I have to pick my son up from school. They then asked if I can go back after I pick my son up. I'm sorry no I'm not going to have my son sit there waiting for you guys to work on my tooth. I don't understand why they made me an appointment at 11am and then expect me to come back hours later after I had already taken the day off work. The lady at the front didn't seem to care much, just looked at me and said she was sorry but they weren't going to be able to see me. I left very angry called another dentist and was able to get in right away. I will never go back to this Western Dental location again.

Experiencia negativa: For starters I was scheduled for a wisdom tooth extraction on the 16th after waiting a few weeks and flying home from a work trip to make the appointment they call me and tell me that my insurance hasn’t approved the procedure and I need to reschedule and wait another month after receiving several text messages confirming my appointment. I then get ahold of my insurance and my insurance confirms that the procedure was approved two days prior to my appointment and they have no idea why the office would call me the day before the procedure and cancel my appointment. Long story short I call the Western Dental back with my insurance on a 3 way call so they could confirm right then and there and the lady Valeria I believe her name is tries to lie about the time frame and then proceeds to put me on hold for 15 minutes and then hangs up the phone just for me to call back and have them tell me there is nothing they could do for me after their mistake and wasting my time. I wouldn’t recommend this place to anyone especially if you have a dental issue that needs to be resolved as soon as possible. I have been in extreme pain for weeks and now I have no other choice but to be in pain for a whole month longer.

Experiencia negativa: Double-charged AGAIN. I wish we'd never chosen Western Dental as our choice for dental care. Once again, they double-charged our bank account. Once again, I had to call and have the customer service rep ask, "What do you want to do about it?" I want to not be robbed. They have done this before and NOT added the double debit to our bill, showing they double charged but only debited the amount once on our account. That is theft. It takes two seconds to double-debit our account without permission, but 10-15 days to refund money they stole. Also, be warned that if you are expecting and affordable experience, these guys tend to 'up-sell' A LOT. It has become a real money pit. This was the final straw. No more business from us if you're just going to keep stealing money and then act as if we're the bad guys for calling you on it. No wonder there are so many complaints to the BBB against Western Dental.

Experiencia negativa: I was lied to about Medi-cal didn't cover gum disease. They wanted to charge me $1,100. $100 down and the rest to set up a payment plan. Thankfully I haven't received my new bank card otherwise I would have paid it. I called my insurance and they said they do cover it. We called and informed them that they need to give me a referral to see a gum specialist. We was told the supervisor wasn't in and they would call me back. I never received that call back.

Experiencia negativa: Today I have an appointment 9.30 am ,,, two hours waiting for nothing ,, I left the room , different story They called me to cancel my appointment for Instance problem ,,, after one day went to them to check my new schedule,, I found out there was no problem with my insurance at all ,,, and schedule me again one month later !!!!!

Their website is not updated and offer appointments after 4 o’clock and then they called you to change it before 4. And they still receiving appointments online and some of them are closed.

Experiencia negativa: AVOID GOING HERE. Very bad experience. (Upon checking in) 1. Front desk: "your insurance is not verified and its best if you reschedule" Me: i spoke with someone at this office and they said everything was good for my apptmt. If there was an issue why didnt u call and cancel my apptmt before i drove 20 mins? 2. Office manager : "we r sorry we dropped the ball, but its best if u come back" Me: i will pay for the service if my insurance rejects the claim. (They were refusing this option even though its their fault !!) 1 hour later: Finally: "oh we found the paperwork, it was here all along" . Now they tell me we can only fit u in for xray and exam something i didnt book. I booked a cleaning. After discussing for another 15 mins, They cleaned my teeth for 3 mins after waiting on the chair for over an hour. Ridiculous Zero customer service. Every step of the process was overdrawn and lacked competence. Disaster experience

Experiencia fantástica: Came in for a consultation on getting my daughter braces. Everyone was so helpful & pleasant to work with. We ended up getting dental work and braces done today, with a great deal & payment! Maria & Valarie were super sweet and were very informative & thorough with the payment plan & contracts. They really did get me the best deals possible. So happy we chose to come here. I’ll update the review throughout my daughters braces journey.
