Negative experience: Based on my experience they are charging Medi-Cal patients for procedures that are 100% covered under their Medi-Cal insurance. I am an active IEHP Medi-Cal member. On August 27, 2026 I had a filling procedure done by Shodhan Dentistry in Yucaipa. During this appointment the doctor did NOT let me know that she would be using silver filling on my teeth. After the filling was done I asked the doctor why silver filling was used instead of white, she lied and said my Medical insurance only covers me for silver and I would have to pay $375 out of pocket to have the white filling done. THIS IS NOT TRUE, DO NOT PAY THEM ANY MONEY, CALL YOUR INSURANCE. I contacted Medi-cal and IEHP directly, they confirmed these white composite fillings are 100% covered under codes D2392 and D2393. I then contacted Shodhan Denstry for a 2nd time and let them know this information. I spoke with Dr. Shodhan and he was very rude and dismissive and stated multiple times "We do not do white fillings for Medi-Cal patients here at this location, you will have to pay $325". He then changed the price to $200, then to $150 and scheduled a follow up to correct the silver filling to white as long as I paid the $150. I advised Dr. Shodhan that what he was doing was illegal and he said "it is up to me, and we will not do the white fillings here under your Medi-Cal insurance. You will have to pay." Charging patients out of pocket for benefits that are 100% covered by insurance is FRAUD.

Negative experience: I have an intense fear of the dentist. I’m gonna start off by saying that. This place was awful for that. They don’t have sedation. The doctor is incredibly rude and disrespectful getting annoyed with me with my choice for not wanting a root canal and getting annoyed with the fact that I would need to be sedated to have another crown put on they eventually referred me out which I was happy about because I will never come back to this place. The front staff is incredibly nice incredibly patient and incredibly respectful, it’s sad to see that that doesn’t stand for all of the crew, especially the one whose name is on the dentistry if he followed his employees example and the way that they act he would probably have a better dentistry. One of the worst experiences I’ve ever had a dental’s office. If you have an intense sphere of the dentist, I would not recommend going here.

Negative experience: I’m sharing my personal experience with this office. I had concerns about cleanliness and communication. There was a persistent sewer-like odor in the restroom used by patients and staff. I also had confusion about billing and Medi-Cal coverage versus out-of-pocket charges. Some services were presented as additional fees, like an “ultra sonic cleaning” that the doctors use for root canals, that is not a formal code according to my insurance California dental association and I didn’t feel those were clearly explained up front. According to my insurance denti-cal COVERS WHITE FILLINGS, Dr Shodhan offered me $235 per filling when the insurance covers it 100%. ROOT CANALS, POST & CROWN are covered 100%. There is no such thing as a ultra sonic cleaning code for Root canals, RESIN BASED PARTIALS ARE COVERED 100% If you get dental work done here make sure you get the treatment plan, and look at the codes and contact your insurance to see exactly what percentage these codes are covered at. Because of these issues, I chose to go elsewhere. I recommend asking detailed questions about treatment plans and costs before proceeding. This is my Anonymous account, as i do not want to be contacted about services that were provided to me as a patient.

Negative experience: Nurse assistant and office lady told me it would be covered by insurance and did extra tests that did not need to be done just for more money. They are money grabbers. Go to dental offices in riverside. They actually help and don't charge an arm and a leg. Funnily enough the other dentists I went to didn't have a charge and got the work done without overcharging me the 4k this doctor wanted.

Negative experience: I don't use my real name on here, but I have been getting my teeth cleaned here for 2 years, I have cavities, i have a cavities that he completely ignored, i brought it to his attention,and the hygienist attention because she's been cleaning my teeth every 3 months and they had an attitude about and he said my teeth are fine how unprofessional is that ? I have medical coverage and he had a attitude like i was bothering him ,ive complained about my teeth for a long time, I went and Found a different hygienist and dentist ,the dentist here at shodan doesn't even look a person in the eye ,Good luck with this dentist , editing I just came from a different dentist and I need nine fillings that's why my mouth hurts this dentist has neglected me for a long time, the two fillings I got today from the different dentist feel great and don't hurt now ,seven more to go, I can't believe how long you neglected me and told me everything in my mouth is fine

Negative experience: On Thursday I went in for treatment and to place my crown well they hurt me so much that now I'm looking for an emergency dentist to pull out the tooth because obviously they didn't do the root canal right because if they have done so I wouldn't be in so much pain I'm in so much pain since Friday I've never had this issue with other dentist and mind you they do procedures that they're going to charge you for without telling you if you and with the excuse of I do things differently like if I have medical obviously you're going for treatment that is covered by Medical because you're a low income patient. I had never had issues with a dentist but after this I don't think I'll be going back here ever again as an autistic person I have a high tolerance for pain and for me to be in so much pain it means its bad.

Fantastic experience: I am very satisfied with Shodhan Dentistry and staff. They are prompt and courteous every time. I had full dental hybrid implants started and completed at Shodhans Yucaipa office about 2 years ago. The complete process involved extractions, bone grafts, healing, implants, then they took impressions for dentures. From start to walking out the door with my finished hybrid dentures took 6-7 months. Two years after and zero issues.

Fantastic experience: Woke up at 9am (Saturday) with my impacted wisdom tooth killing me. I'm up in Big Bear Lake and searched for a nearby open office for help. I feel like I couldn't have been luckier. My first call was at 9am - and I live over an hour away - and by 11:30am I was driving back home with my tooth removed. Not just that, the doctor knew I had been fasting, so he sent me off to In-N-Out to grab a quick bite so I didn't have enough empty stomach. This whole office is super charming, but also so efficient! You can tell there is a healthy work environment there, which I really value. From the gal who answered the phones to the assistant and gentleman that rung me up on my way out. Everyone was so enjoyable to be around. Also, the doctor couldn't have been more skilled. I didn't feel the shot, he removed my impacted tooth so smoothly and quickly. I would 100% recommend this place. I'm not surprised literally all of these hundreds of reviews at 5 star. It's pretty amazing for a dental office. I hit the jackpot going here.

Fantastic experience: I just just visited Shodhan dentistry and had a lovely experience. All the staff was extremely personable and kind. I am traveling and have been trying to get a loose implant tightened. Dr. Shodhan was the only one from Sacramento, Reno to here that was willing to take a look at it and see if he could fix it. All the others said they don’t do that brand, he was the first that was like there are only two types of heads, and he probably has the tools. Anyway, he fixed it and told me what head type for the future. He was thorough and clear and explained things a matter a fact. I am so grateful to have it tightened. If I lived here I would make them my dentist. Clean, friendly and good equipment with a competent staff.

Negative experience: This review is on behalf of my Mother who recently received dental work. She had 2 cavities filled and was left with severe pain. She informed the dentist of the pain after a period of time. The dentist told her he would grind done the filling but that still did not resolve the pain. Then the dentist tried grinding down a tooth that was never an issue. So, after the third time seeing the dentist to help resolve the pain she decided to go to a different dentist. The new dentist found that one of the fillings wasn’t sealed correctly and the other actually still had a cavity under the filling so that filling was removed and fixed. After the fillings were fixed the pain began to subside. This entire situation was very difficult for my mom because while she was in so much pain it was very difficult for her to eat. She would not recommend this dentist.

Fantastic experience: I have been going to dentist for many years, hands down I have never met a dentist and his staff that I like more than this one! The dentist is so professional, so friendly, so informative! In the staff is off the hook amazing :-) so friendly, reassuring! And I've got to give coodles to my girl that was in the room with me your hand if you need it they walk you through everything and they never leave your side :-) I have found my new permanent dentist and I could not be happier,❤️

Fantastic experience: This place is amazing!! I could not be happier. I have major anxiety when it comes to dentists and this place is by far the best I have ever been to. Starting with Geo at the front desk, he’s is the best and the sweetest! He knew I was nervous from the moment I arrived and he still went and checked on me while I was getting work done and asked me if I was okay. It calmed me down. Tania was great taking my X-Rays and doing everything else that needed to be done. She was very sweet. The Doctor was amazing, not only was he very patient and understanding but he showed concern and compassion but he was also very gentle with my multiple procedures. I received follow up calls and texts messages days after my procedure, they also answered every question I had every time I called them. After having such a great experience, now my husband and 8yr old are also coming here.
