Beaumont Cherry Valley Dental: Daniel Park, DDS

Negative experience: I went to Dr. Park’s office to have dental work done. After my initial evaluation, I had several questions. I was curious and a little nervous, and I was looking for reassurance before moving forward. After discussing my concerns and questions with Dr. Park, I felt comfortable enough to proceed with the procedure he recommended. About a week later, I was still experiencing pain in the same tooth, so I returned to the office to have it evaluated. During this visit, Dr. Park informed me that I would need a root canal. He also made a comment that he had not felt comfortable working on me because I had asked so many questions during my previous visit. I found this comment concerning and unprofessional. If Dr. Park was uncomfortable treating me or felt that my questions were an issue, I believe that should have been communicated to me before proceeding with the initial procedure. Instead, he chose to perform the procedure, accept my business, and only expressed these concerns after I returned because I was still experiencing pain

Negative experience: The staff is amazing, except for Dr. Park. He said that I had soft teeth that were more prone to getting cavities, but whenever I had a cavity, he would always ask me if I brushed my teeth enough, or if I drank soda often, like I was a little kid, and he didn't believe me when I said that I didn't drink much soda at all, or that I brushed my teeth every day. After he gave the fillings, I told him that my orthodontist, who understood/remembered that my teeth were softer, had told me that I should get them sealed, but he refused for reasons I still don't know. I would not recommend this dentist, but I would recommend the orthodontist that they work with, C&G Orthodontics, if you need braces.

Negative experience: The dr’s were good just their staff very unprofessional. My daughter got a tooth extracted de left the room and so did his assistant ,they left us in the room for about 20 min did not tell us to wait or anything that was going on the Girl then came in said she needed to take a picture and we were good to go .they did not give us any after care instructions Till they seen her go to the restroom and try to spit, the receptionist told her she could not spit asked us to go back to the room to change her Goss and gave us extra with the after care instructions. They do not like that you tell them what they are doing wrong.

Negative experience: I was with this dentist a few years back and Dr. Park was very rude and wouldn’t explain what he wanted done clearly, felt like he was confusing me deliberately so they could charge more. Also the dental hygienist that worked on me was very aggressive. I left the building shaking because it felt like she was digging in my mouth, I didn’t see any dentist for a year after them because they were that bad with me, and I didn’t want to go through that again. I transferred dentists eventually and they’re way better and a lot nicer to their patients. Idk how this office has 4.9 stars. It’s really disappointing because when we first found them before all the fancy renovations, they were very nice.

Fantastic experience: The staff are friendly and helpful and the clinic itself is so clean and well kept! I felt so welcome and relaxed during my entire time at the clinic! Highly recommend!

Negative experience: Sorry to say that it took them 8 weeks for me to find out that my insurance did not cover anything . I told them that my back tooth had broke off and if needed a crown or to be pulled out it’s been so uncomfortable . I had been calling and calling they seemed like they did not wish to assist me . Biggest mistake the front desk girl put my date of birth wrong and my insurance asked for more information. Then the third week I called an again they said they had to submit again . I spoke to the insurance person on the office and again they said they needed more information. And to they said my insurance denied the Tx. I’m a Medicare and medical pt. And was denied . I really believe they do not know what they are doing scary to say .

Negative experience: I was told that they would submit an insurance claim and they never did so one simple tooth extraction cost me over $500 and that was over a month ago!! RIP OFFS!

Negative experience: Not sure how he has 4.9 stars. Dentist is rude and abrasive. Do not recommend. Came in with pain during pregnancy, and requested topical anesthetic, and he complained that it should not hurt. I have very sensitive teeth and know what I need. He even hit my tooth with the mirror to see if it hurt . Don’t go hear unless you like a rude dentist… definitely won’t be back.

Negative experience: We came to this dental office as first time patients today as an emergency visit . I asked if this office took children and they said yes. They did X-rays and was told to come back at 3:30 for a tooth extraction . When we came back I told the Dr my daughter was nervous and I told him this was her fist time ever getting a tooth extracted . He said it was normal to feel that way and then I helped him calm her to numb her . He saw that she was freaking out from the beginning but proceeded . She was okay after the numbing starting kicking in and i calmed her . He then came back about 5 mins later laid her back with out warning and opened her mouth ) along side was his dental assistant )he pulled out his tool didn’t asked her if she was fully numb and before I could get the words out of my mouth and ask her started to pull . Of course she freaked and screamed . He then with frustration told her is almost out and she was saying it hurt . He stopped and told me “ we are going to have to refer her to pediatrics she screaming “ and so I said “she’s telling you it hurts is she even numb ? I asked if you took children and they said yes “ his response was “ I don’t take crying children I can’t do this “ and walked out . No gauze was given toher she was just walked out drooling everywhere and it wasn’t until I was complaining at the front desk that the dental assistant offers gauze . I’m so upset and I can’t believe how unprofessional and what a jerk he was . He left her traumatized. DONT BRING CHILDREN HERE! Dr Park has no patience at all. It’s sad because the receptionist Ashley was awesome and sweet and the facility itself was very nice and clean but this does not reflect the customer care that is given here . Your better off else where . If you didn’t take crying children when didn’t he refer out to pediatrics the moment he saw she was nervous ? I warned him and even then she did great .He obviously wanted to get paid … all profit no patient care at all .

Negative experience: Had a crown done in November 22. It fell out,went to see him today and he said I broke the tooth and that was why the crown fell out. I told him that was his fault and he said it was mine. So apparently you have to have a PPO to be taken care of. I would recommend him for anything. Money hungry.

Negative experience: The worst dentist I have ever been to. I go to get work done on dentures and they say it is not covered by my insurance. They give me the code. I call my insurance and they say that it is 100% covered. So I called and told them, but they refused to call my insurance and tell me that they will do the work, but if Insurance doesn’t pay then I am liable. I make an appointment. Then they are closed on that money of the tropical storm and nothing saying they are closed. I left messages to call me to reschedule. Been a week and no call back. I talked to another client that was in the parking lot and they said that they have had problems with them billing their insurance company. DON’T GO THERE.

Fantastic experience: I will start off by saying I am extremely afraid of dental work and such from previous dentist. I had to have my wisdom tooth pulled and was terrified of how bad it was going to be all around and being awake doing it. The Dr completely changed my experience all in this one visit tooth is out no problem it was done quick and professional no pain at all. I highly recommend he doesn't baby you for a heads up he is there to do his job and that is what any dentist should do.

Negative experience: Used to be a good place but not anymore. They have too many patients. I have been in the waiting room several times and people are standing up because there aren’t enough chairs to seat everyone. Last time I went there were 3 people ahead of me to check out. I sat down for 5 minutes and walked out. Not enough chairs. Need more staff. Need to not schedule so many patients. Seems like profits are being put ahead of people.

Negative experience: They made me wait for 1 month after appointment. When I went they made me wait and there was no rule to care for patients with a rule. They took pictures of my teeth and said I need deep cleaning and feeling which is totally unnecessary. I went to another dentist and get the cleaning done in a week. I do not recommend this place to go any patents for cleaning.

Negative experience: It's a hit and miss with the girls in the front some are nice some have attitudes. Never going back after Dr. Parks pulled a tooth he broke it in half he was complaining the whole time my tooth was really decade after he broke it no I'm sorry no nothing just yelling at his assistant to send me to a specialist not the first time I've noticed his attitude

Fantastic experience: Doctor and all the staff were professional, courteous and friendly. I have a fear of dentists and I was put at ease and treated gently by all. Today, the doctor cleaned my teeth and then extracted nine of my husband's teeth. My husband had no pain during the extraction and very little pain tonight, Tylenol, took care of it. I would highly recommend Dr. Park and his staff. Very pleased with the visit.

I said yes and less than 45 minutes later I was done. My tooth was fixed. I was very happy. They were the most efficient group of people I have ever seen. Pleasant and business like. And again staff was pleasant and knowledgeable. I was out in in a flash with an appointment with a dental office that performs root canals. Totally happy with the experience there. I don't like going to dentists, but, this office is great.

Fantastic experience: I moved to Beaumont a little over 3 years ago. I went to my community page for a good dentist. Dr. Park was mentioned a few times so I took a chance and I’m so glad I did. I was a little skeptical because it looked like a tiny little house (with state of the art equipment). Now when people go to the community page asking for a dentist that’s who I recommend (I’ve done it several times). He now has this really nice newly built building with the same if not upgraded state of the art equipment and the same friendly staff. I wouldn’t go anywhere else. They’re amazing! Fantastic experience: Dr. Park is very gentle and competent. I have high anxiety at the dentist and he and his staff help me feel calm. The office is very beautiful, modern and clean. Dr. Park also doesn’t try high pressure sales tactics, just simply states what you need to have done. I feel very confident in what he says. No weird, gimmicky treatments that are super expensive, unlike my previous dentist.

Positive experience: I have had a string of bad experiences with dental offices in the area. "BrightNow Dental" was my latest battle of six dental offices. January 2022 was going to be a New Year for my dental needs, so I switched my HMO Dental care to Dr. Park. I was impressed with the friendly receptionists, the organized office, and the efficiency of the dental staff. Even though I was deferred to a specialist at another facility, I am so looking forward to returning. I am hoping Dr. Park will be my primary Dentist.

Fantastic experience: I USED to be deathly afraid of the dentist but it was to the point that I had to go! I made my first appt with him in august he told me what type of work needed to be done and we went from there! Dr. Park is such an amazing Dr and his staff is great !!!! Everyone is so kind and make you feel really comfortable. The office itself is extremely clean and BRAND NEW! I’ve been going in to see Dr. park due to all the work that needs to be done, but I am no longer afraid of going and so happy with the work him and his amazing staff have done so far. Definitely 10/10 would recommend Dr. park and his amazing staff!
