Negative experience: Wife went in for a cleaning and exam. She was told she had no cavities. Office billed Aetna Insurance $769, which is about $250–$300 higher than average. They had taken three different kinds of x-rays. The panoramic x-ray alone was $217, which is twice the normal cost. $147 with full coverage insurance for a simple cleaning and exam. Will not be returning for future service.

Fantastic experience: I had the most wonderful experience at Brentwood Dental Group today! I called yesterday and was seen today. I had an exam and cleaning. So my first impression was they answered the phone immediately. Believe it or not many doctors offices don’t answer their phones now and ask you to book on their website. Sometimes the questions you have can’t be answered on a website, so I was impressed right away. I spoke with a very friendly, helpful and kind member of their staff and she helped me right away. When I arrived today the same person greeted me when I walked in the door with a big warm smile. The office was clean and inviting and the decor was very attractive and comfortable. I completed my paperwork and was taken right back. Next I was greeted and escorted back by a fresh faced and friendly dental asst who was very kind and efficient. She definitely made me feel completely at ease as she did my X-rays, continually checking that I was comfortable and informed as to our next steps. The dentist came in and also had a beautiful smile and outgoing personality and confident demeanor. She explained at her practice on a patients first visit she does the exam and cleaning and if everything is in good shape moving forward the dental asst would do my cleanings. She did an excellent job and a thorough job and both her and her asst were kind and helpful throughout the appt. I also appreciated that they didn’t ask me questions and try to engage me in conversation when she was cleaning my teeth. (Believe it or not I have had that before and it’s very hard to navigate a conversation while having your teeth cleaned.) I was very happy with my entire experience. My price was exactly what they quoted me. They didn’t attempt to upsell me and their pricing was extremely fair. I had an outstanding experience and will be a patient as long as I live in this area. I would recommend Dr Julianna Pikus to anyone reading this and to my friends and family. Thank you all for providing excellence from the first communication to when I walked out the door. I love instead of telling me what they see, they actually took pictures to explain it. They’re the best. I came in for a second opinion after a very stressful experience at another dental office in town where they used fear tactics urgency They tried to pressure me into a $3,000 deep cleaning plan. They offered me a push point club plan that would lower the cost a bit if I joined. Thankfully, I had no time for their deep cleaning that day, and I left that visit feeling anxious and defeated. A connection encouraged me to try Brentwood Dental—and I’m so glad I did. From the moment I walked in, the staff was warm and welcoming. My hygienist Kaitlyn was gentle, kind, and truly listened to my concerns. She did a fantastic job as she worked on my cleaning and I am not exaggerating when I say it was the best experience I have ever had getting my teeth cleaned! I recently changed dental specialists due to driving proximity and I’m so glad I chose Brentwood Dental Group for my care. I highly recommend them to anyone looking for a new place for your dental health needs/requirements. Dr. Pikus and my hygienist Michelle went above and beyond to make sure I felt comfortable and informed. Michelle was extremely thorough during the cleaning—she explained everything she was doing, checked to make sure I was comfortable, and gave great tips for keeping an eye on certain areas that could become an issue if I don’t focus more on it now. Her attention to detail was outstanding. Dr. Pikus took the time to go over my dental history, examine everything carefully, and walk me through the results of my exam in a way that was clear and easy to understand. She never rushed, and it was obvious that she really cares about doing things right and treating her patient with an individual touch that doesn’t feel rushed or distracted in any way. The entire experience felt like a great blend of personal, professional, and refreshingly detail-oriented. I left knowing I’m in great hands when I’m back in six months for my next exam.
