Fantastic experience: Victoria, the dental hygienist was amazing. Handled my autistic son with grace and ease.1st time in 4 visits he did not cry once or refuse anything. Entire staff is professional and great!

Negative experience: My daughter had her filling done, which she felt higher than usual immediately, causing pain when she chew or bite. We went back, she was checked by another dentist, who said it was normal to feel higher for a couple of weeks. We were charged $100 for this second visit which took the dentist 1 min to check her filling. My daughter still felt uncomfortable after 2 months, so I called the office, and the front desk said they won't be able to fix it since the 2nd dentist verified it was good. Eventually, we went to another dentist in port washington who fixed the filling and my daughter felt immediate comfortable chewing and biting. The front desk people don't even bother to look at the customers, all they care is that you paid.

Fantastic experience: We LOVE this office! We have been going for 4 years, I wish I could go as an adult! We has our son’s first visit here when he was little and he was happy and at easy, no anxiety! It's been like that even since. Fun play area while waiting, tvs to keep kids distracted in the chair, super friendly staff who always help. We have and do recommend them to friends. Also note: my child needed a small procedure done that involved numbing the tooth. They have a great machine that numbs just that tooth! Smaller shot, much easier, wish my dentist had that!

Negative experience: I’ve been taking my 3 kids to Kiddsmiles for about 2 years. At first it was efficient and accommodating as they’re able to see all 3 at once. However, I called in for an urgent appointment for my 6yo. He had an extremely loose and bleeding tooth that wouldn’t come out on its own. They had me come in the same day, evaluated him then proceeded to say to come back in 2 weeks that they would extract it then! I attempted to attend the next appointment and ended up being 20 mins late due to an accident. Which I called to notify them prior. As I got closer they called and said they won’t see the kids I would have to reschedule. Honestly, if they just saw my 6yo that’s all that was really needed urgently. I agreed to possibly reschedule but I would have to take my kids out of school early again because they didn’t have any after school times or weekends any time soon. I found a new place near my house they extracted it the very next morning.

Fantastic experience: Jackie was amazing, she really took the time to reinforce good dental hygiene with my son (which was very necessary) and explained so clearly what was happening with his teeth and what would happen if he didn’t get into a routine. I was very happy with her expertise.

I've been coming here for the past 6 years, and I plan on still coming. They take good care of my kids when we come always and are easy to schedule with. This place has parking too and is truly amazing, definitely would recommend.

Fantastic experience: My toddler is a little weary when it comes to the dentist especially his first two visits. But they are so caring and patient, they made him feel comfortable by talking to him at his level and everything. I would highly recommend them!

Negative experience: I got a reminder for kids cleaning via txt, I called them up and asked for any appointment they could give me after 3pm as I did not want to take my kids out of school. The soonest appointment they could give me was 5 months out July 7th by then my kids would be on summer break. It’s run like a machine and not personable.

Fantastic experience: Dr. Aaron made my daughter feel more relaxed during her filling. She liked that he explained everything to her as he was doing it she said it made her feel at ease.

Negative experience: I have been bringing my girls here for years. For the first time I was 30min late for my app( Tuesday after a snow storm)When asked if I could come in the receptionist said it’s a 10min policy and I couldn’t I’d have to reschedule. No problem, proceeds to ask me the availability. Any weekday after school 2:30. She says they don’t she anything after 1:30. I don’t believe in taking a child out of school for a regular checkup that I made months in advance. I ask for Feb break booked until the summer. It wasn’t all of the above it was the attitude of I don’t want to help you that drove me to write this review. I recommended family here it’s unacceptable. Maybe their staff should be working when the child population is actually available like after school and evenings when kids are not in daycare/school. Won’t be going here again. I will say the dentist and hygienist are very friendly and helpful though.

Fantastic experience: Recently switched to kidssmiles and could not be happier. My son 5 year old used to be terrified of the dentist now he looks forward it it! We saw Dr. Jasmin and she was wonderful with my kids patient and kind. Highly recommend this practice.

The dental hygienist, Fanny, was sweet and kind, which made my daughter feel comfortable. My daughter likes this place.

I greatly appreciate how much every staff member has always included my child when they are discussing their dental care and ask if they have any questions or concerns also. You can truly see how much they care for their patients because they always make sure my child feels as comfortable as possible at every visit. I highly recommend this office.

Negative experience: Be alerted when you go to this office, you might be hit with a surprise bill! I took my two kids for dental services, and at no point during appointment booking or before the treatments were performed was I informed that these were non-covered services by my insurance. After the procedures, I was shocked to receive a hefty bill with no prior warning or cost estimate. When I raised my concerns, the front desk staff dismissively told me, “You should know your insurance,” which is completely unacceptable. They deal with insurance daily and clearly know what’s covered and what isn’t, yet they failed to disclose this critical information. It’s their responsibility to inform patients upfront about non-covered services and provide clear pricing, giving us the choice to proceed or not. Instead, they wait until after the treatment to demand payment, leaving you with no option but to pay an unexpected bill. This lack of transparency and poor customer service is unprofessional and predatory.

Dr. Aaron was instrumental in helping her overcome that fear. He is patient and so kind to her. She now looks forward to her dental visits! Thank you for being so patient centered. What an amazing practice.

Negative experience: Understaffed Waited 40 minutes to be told it will take another half hour to be seen. No respect for your time. Will never go back.

Negative experience: Absolutely horrible place. Twice came here before. Was happy with the service. But today running late. Notified of so. Was told there was a 10 minute grace period on the phone. Walked in 3 mins past the 10 minute grace time. And I was denied my appointment. I’m not gonna put my life and my daughter’s life at risk to make an appointment if traffic just isn’t flowing. I would understand if I didn’t notify and just showed up. If this place is for pediatric patients. You would think they would be more flexible especially when there has been no prior times of being late. What a shame. Time to find another Dentist!

Negative experience: Would say good things about this place but after going to this Manhassett location for the first time they basically told me there is only a 10minute grace period when we were running 15 min late after encountering traffic on the LIE. No guarantee they would see us! Turning away a 3yo for 5 min is pretty ridiculous, i would never come to this location again, worse customer service and didnt even try to squeeze us in. I work in Healthcare and would never do this especially to a 3yo child!

Negative experience: #Update ********** There was a 15 minute grace period for appointment which is now 10 minute grace period when I arrived at that grace period of 15 minutes I was only allowed to have my son seen for his cleaning and dental exam I have to bring back my daughter to have her cleaning. They were overbooked and I was very unhappy with the way the situation was handled. I come a long way to come there because of the service and the great hygienists and dentists. I usually have about a 15 minute wait anytime I bring my little ones in for dental care including when I came people were waiting before I got there and there were people waiting when I left. So to refuse my daughters cleaning made no sense when you have people waiting after their appointment times every time. I was ok with that but apparently it is not a two way street. I’m not sure if there is new management but it seems that way. I will say that the hygienist assigned was still professional and the dentist was still great. The way I was handled today I am not happy. If this is how the management is training their front desk employees to deal with families that support their business I don’t think it’s good for business. Especially when you are not always on time either.

Negative experience: I took my 5 year old daughter there a few weeks ago for a chipped tooth, they gave her two fillings and a crown on another tooth and said they'll fix the chipped teeth when she came back for the second visit. On the second visit they said they had to extract the teeth because it was infected. I think that is total incompetence on their part as this teeth should have been addressed first, my daughter had severe bleeding and pain from that visit. I strongly advise any parent NOT to bring your child to this practice.

Negative experience: I had an appointment today and I got such as bad experience. The front desk staff were unprofessional, rude and disrespectful. I requested to speak with the manager, she helped but I left the office frustrated. I hope nobody has to face a similar situation.

Fantastic experience: HIGHLY recommend! I've never come across a more friendly staff, who were more than kind to my young kids are aren't always the most well behaved. My boys didn't want to leave, it was a wonderfully decorated office with plenty of things to catch a child's eye and keep them busy. My son left with a 'goody bag' excited to get home and brush his teeth, couldn't believe my ears.

Run away from this place. there’s a reason why this place has 2.9 stars on yelp. read all the reviews. the doctors barely sees the patient - my sons appointment lasted a total of 5 minutes from the moment the hygienist “performed the cleaning” to the time the doctor performed the “evaluation”. Go to Tiny sparkles in port washington. You will experience a thoughtful and professional doctor.

Fantastic experience: Amazing Place!!! I went today with my 6 years old son, Nathan. Dr. Dan saw him, treated him. HE WAS WANDERFUL. My son needed a tooth to me taken out because of an infection. I thought he was going to cry, but Dr. Dan did everything and my son didn't even notice!

Fantastic experience: Our hygienist Jennifer was great! She was very nice and experienced, she gave directions and was very thorough with her exam. The doctor was also very knowledgeable and helpful with my daughter! The fact that they don’t accept my insurance makes my visit very costly but that isn’t something that I can change, unfortunately.

Negative experience: very annoying! with the attitude of one of her secretary! A month ago they did not attend to my daughter because I needed a letter that they required, today I brought it, but for them it was not enough, and they did not want to attend to my daughter. The letter is certified by Cohen Children, and it says very well that he can do any job she requires, he even says that he can do x rays! I will change dentists, my children Lucas, mia, Camila will no longer be with you, and neither will my nephews!! I hope he makes a change with her!! because many people have told me about her bad attitude.. I also didn't like that she cleaned her very quickly…………Carmen……

Fantastic experience: The staff was so incredibly patient with my child who has autism. He had been unable to tolerate a dental exam/cleaning for the past few years. They allowed instructors from his specialized school to accompany him to his visit today, offered many breaks (which made the hygienist’s job much longer), and offered encouragement and praise to my son for a job well done! We are so proud of him and so thankful to the staff at Kiddsmiles for helping us overcome this obstacle!
