Fantastic experience: I totally recommend Dr.Altman for your dental needs. I've avoided taking care of my teeth for much of my adult life because I was afraid. Unfortunately, this made my crooked and yellow teeth grow worse. I avoided smiling. Dr. Altman and his staff made me feel very comfortable right from the start. In just a few appointments, Dr. Altman & Jim (he did my teeth remodeling) gave me a beautiful smile! I trust that Dr. Altman can do the same for you.

Negative experience: Dr Moto has awful bedside manner, rude and dismissive of concerns. Also was told by her “that she’s the professional and if you don’t like what she says you can go elsewhere”. I understand why she’s a dentist and not a doctor.

Fantastic experience: I have been with Dr. Gellar for one year. He has helped me go through gettin lower dentures. He is gentle and informative. He takes time to work with gettting used to dentures. I highly recommend him and the staff at Altmann Dental

Fantastic experience: I saw the evening dentist, I think it was Matt. I had a lot of issues going on, and he broke everything down for me, in a way that wasn’t too overwhelming for me. No judgements, just kindness and helpful advice from all the staff. The woman at the check-out/check-in was very nice and helpful as well. I will definitely continue my teeth healing journey with them.

Fantastic experience: I just switched from a “big”dentist group in town to Altman Dental and I am very pleased with the move. The staff no matter front desk or dentist assistant or Dr. Altman himself made the process easy and smooth. I particularly want to appreciate the front desk (both Nicole and Linda) and a nice assistant named “Bridget” who helped me with my night guard. Job well done and thanks!

Fantastic experience: I love how comfortable everyone at Altman dental makes me feel. I’ve had a lot of dental work done and Dr. Altman always explains everything as we go along which makes me relaxed about the procedure. It’s interesting to understand what’s happening at the appointment! The staff is friendly and professional. Fantastic experience: So, lets start by saying that I am terrified of the dentist. I had a very bad experience when I was younger, and that I carried that with me through my adult life. Altman Dental was strongly recommended by my sister, and you have to trust family, right? They were amazing! Niki at the front desk put me right at ease the moment I walked in. I then met with Lorraine who took the time to explain everything that was going to happen, which was very calming. I really appreciated the time she took with me. And finally I met with Dr. Muto who was awesome! Im embarassed to admit my fear of dentists, but Altman Dental and their amazing team really put me at ease. If you want an amazing, patient, and painless dental experience, I cannot recommend Altman Dental enough!

Fantastic experience: My husband and I have been going to Altman Dental for several years, and I have also referred other family and friends. They have an extremely kind and professional staff. From the front desk, to the hygienists and dentists, they have made me feel welcome and comfortable at every appointment. I usually see Lorraine, and she is wonderful, reassuring, and friendly. Dr. Altman and Dr. Muto are both kind and knowledgeable; I feel that I am in good hands at this practice. They make me feel like family, and I feel comfortable visiting whether for a regular appointment or a concern. I highly recommend this practice!

Fantastic experience: I have been treated royally by everyone here since I first contacted them over the summer several years ago for an emergency consult. My serious dental problem was clearly identified at that time, and my treatment options were explained to me by Dr. Gellert and Sheryl. Since then, I have trusted this team to correct a series of dental issues. Thankfully, my last several visits have only been for scheduled periodic cleaning and assessment. Kelly is a top-notch hygienist, and she even laughs at some of my jokes. I finally was able to formally meet with Dr Muto during my latest visit...it was indeed my pleasure! :)

Fantastic experience: I had a slight problem over the weekend and cracked a tooth. It bothered me most of the weekend. I called first thing Monday morning and was able to get in with Dr. Gellert that afternoon! He was wonderful and professional and did a fantastic job with my cavity and filling! Fantastic experience: This was my first time going to Altman Dental, I was very nervous and fearful from past dental experiences as a child and as an adult still carried this fear. Upon arriving I was greeted with a warm welcome, then Fabian came and got me, here we go !!! She sensed how nervous I was and calmed me down first of all and with each thing she was about to do she explained first, from the x-rays to the cleaning and kept checking to see how I was doing(smile). Finally, I met Dr. Frank Altman he's the best very friendly and helpful explaining the future work that will need to done on my teeth. I fully recommend this Dental office for all your dental needs...

Fantastic experience: Dr. Altman is as good as it gets. Rather, he is as GREAT as it gets. The excellent work he has done to repair and enhance my smile is only matched by how receptive and caring he is as a professional. He listens to any pain, concerns or worries you may have and works with you to carve out a battle plan to get your smile where it needs to be. I wish I had him decades earlier, but thankful I have him now. To boot, his front desk staff, particularly Niki, the insurance coordinator, is as warm and effective as they come. The superior level of service makes you feel not only like family, but family that is CHERISHED. Keep up the magnificent work!

Fantastic experience: My husband and I have been Dr Gina Muto’s patients for seven years. We are extremely happy with our doctor and with our hygienist Lorraine. They do a great job keeping our teeth healthy! They’re very professional, friendly, and care about their patients. We also are very happy with Nikki who always does a great job working with our dental insurance. Dr Altman’s office has a great atmosphere, and they make you feel comfortable.

Negative experience: I wish I could give 0 stars. DO NOT GO TO THIS OFFICE! They will tell you that your insurance is in network, rush you in to get some fillings and then stick you with a $$$$ bill. Awful customer service. I asked multiple times making sure I was in network and they always said yes. SCAMMERS

Fantastic experience: Finding new doctors or dentists has always been a trying experience for me. Having not seen a dentist in 5 years after mine retired I needed a lot of work. (crowns, cleaning, root canals and fillings). After some research I chose Altman Dental and I couldn’t be happier. Fantastic experience: I recently returned to Amherst after living in Alabama for 5 years. My first stop was Altman Dental. Dr. Altman is, by far, the best dentist I have seen. He explains and "check 's in" with every procedure. He is experienced. I have been with him since 2005 and will never leave. His staff is exemplary. They go above and beyond to assist with appointments and insurance. I always recommend Altman Dental when someone asks for a dentist.

I can't believe it has been 3 years, but Google doesn't lie. We have been going to Altman Dental now for a few years. They put us back on track with a treatment plan designed to keep our teeth healthy and sound. The group is dedicated and professional. In these times of the pandemic, the office is clean and they take the necessary precautions. Our review stays at 5 stars!

They are very gentle, knowledgeable and so nice. Fantastic experience: Needed assistance since I broke a tooth a month ago with the covid19 rules on. It became infected and Dr Altman put me on an antibiotic and told me to come in since it was somewhat of a dental emergency. I was the only one in the office and protected. Yep i had an x ray and I had at the bottom of the root nerve canal infection and will be dealt when the office reopens. That is dental service professional.. He has been my dentist for ages and he and his receptionist Nikky were terrific at this situation. Professionalism and great service. Ed

Positive experience: Dr Altman and his dental hygienists are great but the office staff is not so good. I’m assuming we were dropped from the office since they discontinued all communication with us. We did have to cancel some appointments at the last minute because of our crazy work schedules so i’m assuming that’s why they dropped us. The least the office staff could do was at least inform us of this decision.

He is a true professional who takes a sincere interest in the well being of his patients. Fantastic experience: The best dental experience I have ever had! We moved to Buffalo about 4 years ago and I was lucky to find Altman—I have dental anxiety and always request to be numbed for cleanings so I was apprehensive about finding a new dentist. But I had nothing to worry about because the staff is so kind and pleasant and accommodating starting as soon as you walk in and are greeted by Melanie—they have created a real community feel. Lorraine is the most excellent dental hygienist and Dr. Frank Altman is the most genuinely enthusiastic dentist I have ever encountered—he loves his career and it shows. They also have early morning appointments that allow me to get in and out and to work on time which is so helpful! 10/10 would recommend.

She also gave me several good suggestions to upkeep all my dental work. I saw Dr. Muto for a tooth I was having problems with. She was FABULOUS !! My tooth ended up needing a root canal. Dr. Muto performed the root canal. (I'm so glad I wasn't referred out) She did a wonderful job. I felt absolutely no pain from getting the injection to the temp fill after the root canal was completed. Dr. Muto explained every step, gave me after care info and walked me up to desk. Dr. Muto texted me that night to make sure I was not having any problems. I have to say, the best Root Canal I have ever had. I totally recommend this dental office!! You will not be disappointed.

Fantastic experience: I have been a patient of Dr. Muto for a very short time. However; I can see a long term relationship in the making. The staff is very friendly and helpful, the fact they laugh at my jokes does not hurt. Getting Novocaine shots... now that's what hurts.. not really, it's usually just a pinch...
