Fantastic experience: Love these guys, great all around, especially Dr. Leia!

Negative experience: My experience at Ridgeway was honestly horrible, and I would not recommend Dr. Jacobs. Throughout my treatment, I felt extremely uncomfortable because of the way Dr. Jacobs communicated with me. He repeatedly made passive-aggressive remarks and analogies while working on my teeth. I asked questions because I wanted to understand what was being done, and instead of making me feel heard or reassured, I felt like my questions were being taken personally. After having my temporary crown for 4–5 days, I contacted the office because I was experiencing pain. During my final appointment to have the crown placed, Dr. Jacobs brought up my call to the office and said he felt that I did not trust his process because of the questions I asked before treatment. He also told me that he “didn’t go to dental school to explain things” and emphasized that he was the professional and that I needed to trust his work. I understand that he is the dental professional, but patients should still be able to ask questions and express concerns without being made to feel like they are doing something wrong. What was especially upsetting was that he argued with me about this while he was actively working on my tooth. After the argument, Dr. Jacobs left the room for approximately five minutes, which appeared to be so he could regain his composure. Meanwhile, I was left sitting in the dental chair feeling extremely uncomfortable and unsure of what was going to happen next. Being in the dental chair during a procedure is already a vulnerable position, and I felt completely frozen because I felt like he had the upper hand while I was in the middle of treatment. I did not feel respected or comfortable expressing my concerns. I also felt rushed out of the office, and I still have sensitivity in one of my teeth that was worked on. Overall, the experience left me feeling very uneasy, and I would never return to this office. Good bedside manner, communication, and making patients feel comfortable asking questions are extremely important to me. Unfortunately, I did not feel that I received any of those things during my experience with Dr. Jacobs. I would not recommend him to anyone looking for a dentist who is patient, welcoming, and willing to listen to their concerns.

Fantastic experience: After a traumatic tooth ache and root canal, the filling replacement was as perfect as I ever imagined. No pain and a perfectly fit bite check- no extra drilling!!!! Ive had a lot of fillings in my long life, never had a perfect bite check!

Had a tooth extracted with ( and I am not kidding) ZERO discomfort during and after. Would highly recommend Ridgeway Dental professional, skilled and gentle in the process!

Fantastic experience: Katie was thorough and knowledgeable, giving me answers and recommendations. I came away from the appt thinking, "Wow, she must have had more training than just how to clean teeth. She knew the science behind what we were talking about." She is always very kind and remembers details about me. Granted she might take notes to remember for next time, but that too shows that she cares (I know I would have to take notes to remember 6 months later).

She is the best. You can tell she cares about what she does and the clients wellbeing. This is the best dental experience I’ve ever had. Then I met Dr Leah and Dr David, they both were great and welcoming as well. This is a great business and staff that makes you feel good. Thanks again everyone. Fantastic experience: My very old crown fell off on a Friday evening. I left a message and they called me back Monday morning and got me in early Tuesday. Popping the crown back on proved to be very challenging but Dr Leah worked diligently and got the job done. What I thought was going to be a 10-15 minute visit was closer to 30-45 minutes and I had my grandson with me. They put Ms Rachel on to occupy him. Everyone is so friendly and patient which I so appreciate!

Negative experience: I rarely leave reviews, but I feel compelled to share my experience so others can make informed choices. I was scheduled for a routine cleaning and had submitted recent X-rays from a previous provider. The office contacted me the day before my appointment to say the image quality wasn’t clear and new X-rays would be needed. They explained my insurance only covers X-rays every two years and I would need to pay $46 out of pocket. I initially agreed, but after some reflection — and due to personal financial concerns — I asked the hygienist (who was kind and understanding) if it might be possible to delay them until I was due. Unfortunately, what followed was deeply disappointing. The dentist, Dr. J. Jacobs, entered the room and immediately spoke to me in a condescending tone, questioning whether I had "spoken to Sam yesterday." I explained that I had, but was hoping to find a compromise given that I’m facing job uncertainty. Rather than respond with empathy or professionalism, the doctor made the situation about how stressful his job is and reiterated that X-rays are required annually, regardless of insurance. When I noted that this policy hadn’t been clearly explained and suggested this might not be the right fit, he abruptly told me to leave. He followed me closely as I gathered my things and, on the way out, stated that I had "wasted their time" and that other patients were waiting for appointments and could have had mine. I expressed my shock at the way I was being treated, and he responded by raising his voice and telling me to leave — shutting the door behind me. This was one of the most disrespectful and dismissive interactions I’ve ever had in a healthcare setting. I understand and respect office policies, but there is never an excuse for treating a patient with such a lack of compassion, especially in vulnerable moments.

Fantastic experience: Where do I start. I absolutely love the entire staff at Ridgeway Dental. Everyone is so warm and welcoming, and this is big for me because being a black man I go alot of places and I'm treated like a number, but not here they treat me like family. Ther is not a single trace of prejudice in their hearts. Everyone is highly skilled from the receptionist to the hygienist and both the Doctors. Dr.Leah has a very soft touch and it's precise. She knows exactly what she wants to do, and she tries extremely hard to make sure you don't feel anything. It was Dr Leah who changed my view of going to the dentist infact she made me look forward to visiting the dentist. But yesterday I had her Brother Dr.David at first I was just going to wait for Leah but my wife said he's really good as well so I decided to stay and I tell you he's the MAN. David is very skilled and he works with precision as well. Yes they are very good but their love and care for people is what makes them Great. I Recommend Ridgeway Dental my new family.

Fantastic experience: May 2025 - I've been seeing the dentists here for a while now, and they are still... FABULOUS! And I am still a scaredy cat when it comes to dentists. Yet, they do all they can to provide a calm, relaxing environment, and ease my fears. The staff is so friendly and engaging. Willing to tolerate my sense of humor. Lots of laughs, jokes flying, a family practice with that feel and vibe felt when you walk in. I still highly recommend Ridgeway Dental if you need them! I needed to find a new dentist, one much closer to home. When I first called I spoke with Chris, she was AMAZING! Got my sense of humor & everything. Understood my fears, medical issues and paired me with super wonderful dentist & assistant team. He & her, knew just how to take care of an adult baby in his chair and be oh so gentle. For someone that hates going to the dentist (like who likes going, be honest), it was the absolute BEST experience I have had at a dentists office. I wouldn't say that lightly!
