Fantastic experience: Dr Fandel is fantastic. My wife has clinical anxiety and he created such a welcoming and supporting environment. I was allowed to sit in the room with her for her dental procedure and had the privilege to witness first-hand how extraordinary he is. He is serious about his craft, but light hearted when it comes to the proverbial bedside manners which is huge to and made my wife feel very comfortable. Also, he’s a retired Air Force service member which always gets a bump in my books. We will definitely continue seeing him moving forward.

Positive experience: I had a pretty mixed experience here. On the positive side, the dentist was straightforward and practical. He recommended re-cementing my crown instead of replacing it, especially since I’ll be moving soon and might not be able to come back if something went wrong, and I appreciated that. However, a few things didn’t sit right with me. My appointment was at 10:00. I showed up early and filled out the paperwork quickly, but we didn’t leave until about 11:30. For just a couple of X-rays and a crown re-cement, that felt like a long time. Another concern was during the X-rays. I asked my kids to step out of the room, but I was told they could stay, even with the unit being pointed in their direction, and that a cell phone gives off more harmful radiation. That explanation didn’t make much sense to me, and the way it was said came across as a bit dismissive. After the cementing of my crown, my bite felt off. The dentist did try to adjust it, and I will say he made some improvements, but at first it felt like my concern wasn’t being fully taken seriously. It ended up close, but not quite right, and I eventually just decided to leave rather than keep going back and forth. Overall, it wasn’t a terrible experience, but I didn’t feel especially heard or comfortable. I’m sure some people have great visits here, but I’ll probably look elsewhere next time.

Fantastic experience: Had some fillings done and the experience was way better than expected. He did great work and even called later that afternoon to check on me, which I really appreciated. Couldn't recommend Dr. Fandel and his staff enough.

Fantastic experience: Went to get a loose tooth extracted but was informed that since I was experiencing minor pain, I needed antibiotics for a week otherwise if I didn’t take antibiotics first, the pain after the extraction would be severe. So, I was thankful I went to this dentist.

Fantastic experience: Dental appointment was great. Dr. Fandel was very gentle getting my treatment completed...even called to check on me. My cleaning went well also. I would highly recommend Concho Valley Family Dental.

The manner of the staff is excellent, but I won't give away my secrets and tell you my favorite hygienist because then her schedule will become too easy, and not to mention the incredible technique of Dr. Fandel! If you or someone you know has apprehension about going to the dentist: go here! You'll be well taken care of! Honestly though, ask yourself why you're still here on Google instead of calling for an appointment!

They walked me thru step for step the procedure and tremendously reduced my anxiety about my procedure I had to get done! Highly recommended!

Fantastic experience: We just had the BEST experience with Dr. Fandel! My son is almost 14 and has never been able to have a cavity filled due to such fear. Dr. Fandel took the time to listen to his fears and then talk him through them! He was able to get the entire process done, and his cavity fixed, and walked away with a smile on his face rather than tears in his eyes. I’ve truly never had a better experience with a dentist than I have with Dr. Fandel and his team.

Negative experience: I cannot believe what just happened to me with this office. Granted I have been with Dr Fandel for YEARS! I have never missed an appointment, I am never delinquent on my bills. I called 5 minutes after my appointment, because I got caught up at work and I could not leave. They told me I had to reschedule, okay I was fine with that. But then she said she was going to CHARGE ME $15 FOR A NO SHOW?! I was completely in awe. I cannot for the life of me understand how if I am calling, trying to reschedule or still go in, because I was wiling to go in, is considered a no show. No show is when you don't even bother to call! I told them I'll be finding a new dentist. Which makes me actually really sad. I had a great relationship with my hygienist, and Dr. Fandel. That is absolutely insane to me. For anyone who, idk, ever has life events happened to them, God for bid. I can never recommend this office again. Loss of a patient and loss of positive word of mouth from me over the years for $15. Way to go.

This time around I trusted Dr. Fandel and his staff, I had 2 extractions done I didn’t know what to expect. I was a little scared and nervous but glad to say everything turned out okay he definitely made sure I was ok as far as the Procedure I didn’t feel a thing. He then gives me a call later that day to see if I have any questions or concerns and to see if everything is still ok . everything went smoothly didn’t experience any pain or swelling? Fantastic experience: I had a filling on the back molar tooth come out and the tooth had a crack. Dr. Fandel was so good, he explained the different options I had for the repair. Negative experience: Dentist was rude and even dropped a tool into my fiances mouth don't recommend going here what so ever . Kept shaming him and being rude because his teeth were bad even though it was in his genetics to have bad teeth he just didn't care to listen just kept saying it's your fault and being rude .

Fantastic experience: I was treated very nice as a new patient. Everyone was very friendly. I had an abcess tooth. I was given an antibiotic an had to come back three days later. The tooth was pulled with no problem. I have been to several Dentists in San Angelo. I have never been treated so nice. I can truthfully say I have found a Dentist now I trust. I have alot of teeth that need to be pulled. I know I am not far from dentures. They have my trust.

Negative experience: I have been going to them for years with no one mentioning that I was out of network and now I’m stuck with a bill that was supposed to be covered by insurance. They tried to get me to purchase a mouth guard several times that several other dentists said I didn’t need. I had to change my dental hygienist because she talked the entire time while her hands were in my mouth and talked about stuff that was not appropriate for that setting. There are much better places to go here in town and I would recommend trying them out.

Fantastic experience: My regular dentist wasn’t available for an extremely painful dental emergency, I called CVFD and office staff had me come in to see what they could do. There was no hesitation and she treated me with compassion. I was immediately seen and checked out and was able to get my procedure done within 24hrs! They are professional, friendly, informative and show a compassion I haven’t seen anywhere else. Dr. Fandel, even though he wasn’t the one going to work on me, came into the exam room and personally introduced himself. The procedure was quick and I was treated very well! This is the best dental office I have been to in San Angelo!

Negative experience: They are very nice and professional for the 15 mins I spent there. I scheduled an emergency visit as I had a broken and infected tooth. That being said there prices are absolutely outrageous. For an xray of one tooth and talked for 10 mins was $130 which was not disclosed till after I scheduled an appointment for the next visit. No prescription for the infection. I was told by the dental assistant they are the only people in town that do emergency visits and no one wants to do them in san angalo. A $400 price tag for 1 extraction is completely ridiculous and not realistic for a single mother and disabled veteran. I have had 3 teeth pulled in 2 different states and it has never cost more then $130 that was in California. I did some talking with so Colleagues that I work with and they referred me to affordable dentures and implants. There cost for an extraction is $105, and a full initial consultation for free. took me 2 mins to book an appointment no questions asked. This place might be fine if you have insurance but I can see them gouging the heck out of your insurance till your premiums go up.

My 1st visit, a cleaning, they removed stains that no one else had even tried to do that I'd been self conscious about for years. 2nd visit, he fixed a filling that another dentist did poorly and I didn't even feel the shots (and I'm VERY sensitive). Everything went so smoothly and everyone in the office is so kind! I am so glad to have found this place. FINALLY an AMAZING dentist that makes me excited to go instead of nervous! Fantastic experience: I absolutely love this dental office! It had been over 9 years since I had gone to a dentist and I was referred to them by a family friend. Their office is always decorated so beautifully. The staff members are all extremely sweet, professional, friendly, helpful with any questions I have. The dentist himself is very sweet and has many many many years of experience under his belt & knows exactly what he's doing!!! I had my last 3 wisdom teeth taken out today and was extremely nervous. The nurses and The dentist did everything in their power to help me remain calm. Their office had 2 little dogs in the office. One of the dogs, sweet little Pepper, jumped in my lap and stayed with me which helped my nerves tremendously. Pepper laid in my lap until I was out. When I woke up, the nurses were very helpful assisting my dad with any questions he had and made the after care instructions very clear. I absolutely love this dental office. I HIGHLY recommend them if you are looking for a dentist!! Thank you again Concho Valley Dentist for everything!! ♥️♥️

Fantastic experience: Definitely the best dentist I've been to in San Angelo. Dr. Fandel and his staff are friendly and he's super efficient. Had a wisdom tooth extracted today. It took less than 45 minutes from walking in to driving home, and most of that was waiting for the anesthesia to kick in. Best thing is, I never felt a thing and the whole time he's working on me he's telling me exactly what he's doing and what I can expect. Side bonus is the music in the rooms is good. Got my tooth yanked to Alanis Morrisette and 3rd Eye Blind.

Fantastic experience: Was pretty nervous going in to have all 4 four of my wisdom teeth removed just earlier today, but was immediately relaxed thanks to the efforts of all the staff and their cheerful demeanor. Not to mention I happened to see two adorable dogs walking around the office, somehow they also reduced any anxiety I had going in. Definitely recommend this place! Dr. Fandel and his staff are the best I've seen in a dentist office hands down. So if you happen to come here know that you are in good hands!

Fantastic experience: I have a list of people that I trust and one of them is my dentist Dr. Fandel! I have a phobia for the dentist due to a horrible painful experience in my past and I decided to go back to Dr. Fandel to get my teeth fixed and I went in with my knees shaking. He spoke to me about my dental plan and to trust him and assured that everything was going to be okay. I then went to my next apt. to start my dental work and it was a breeze!!!!!!! Dr. Fandel sure knows hows to work with his hands because I DID NOT FEEL A THING! I could not wipe off the smile off my face when I walked out of the office!!! If your looking for a caring dentist and a dentist who actually listens to you then you need to go to Concho Valley Family Dental!!

Fantastic experience: Staff was very friendly. Doctor took the time to sit and introduce himself, something that I never had happened anywhere I have been. Everyone made me feel comfortable. I love this place.

Negative experience: I am in desperate need of dental care, having small sections of my jaw exposed for several months following a previous extraction at another (distant) practice. I called to see about scheduling an appointment, I was told that I could come in for a consultation/exam in six days, which I was willing to wait for, had they answered my next question correctly... When I asked what precautions I needed to take for my visit, I was told that I was not required to wear a mask, and the receptionist didn't even ask if I had a fever. That's right- they don't even try to encourage patients to wear a mask, or disclose possible illness! That is ridiculous for a medical establishment during a pandemic, and downright evil when you consider that they lie to us on the website, claiming to take covid seriously and that they do everything to keep patients safe. Do they even wash their hands, dispose of used needles, etc.? If they don't believe in covid-19, how is a patient to trust them for ANYTHING? If you want to be cared for by sensible, sane, and hygienic staff I suggest you avoid this office, and any other practice that they are affiliated with. I can't believe all of these fluffly reviews, especially considering that almost none of them mention anything about their supposed visits being affected by covid in any way... even the grocery store is a different experience these days, let's be real. I have no choice now but to keep looking, and possibly go out of state just to find proper care, by actual medical professionals that deserve their licenses. This place is more likely to kill me (and my family!) than fighting this infection is.

My recovery went great, they made me very comfortable the morning of my surgery and even called me later that day to check on me!! The staff is professional and eager to assist and answers any questions you may have. When I made my appointment I didn't have to wait for months to get in the office and is COVID 19 friendly and enforcing the CDC guidelines. I went there because another dentist in town had screwed up my teeth when fixing some cavities. They were able to make my mouth feel normal again. And they also gave me correct diagnosis. Fantastic experience: Best dentist I have ever had. Dentist even calls you after major procedures to make sure you are doing okay. Can't say enough great things. Staff there is also amazing.
