Fantastic experience: Always a great experience with doctors and staff!

Fantastic experience: Aloha Dentistry has been the best decision for both our sons dental care. We found them after our eldest had trauma to his front teeth at 2yo and they are the kindest and most patient dentists. Our youngest asks when he gets to go because they make it fun

Fantastic experience: This was my children’s first dentist from toddler age onward. Their office and staff is geared towards helping kids get used to the dental experience, from having sunglasses to wear to having stools for teeth brushing. Even X-rays and cavities were handled in a way that helped my kids leave with a positive feeling about the dentist. Highly recommend.

The entire team is so friendly, patient, and great with kids, and they always make every visit fun and stress-free. It’s been such a fantastic experience from day one, and we’re so grateful we found them. Highly recommend to any family looking for an amazing pediatric dentist!

Fantastic experience: Aloha Dentistry is an AMAZING office for children who have some dental fears. We switched to this office after my son experienced a lot of anxiety at his last office. Dr. Ameneh just has the best bedside manner, and all the staff is so welcoming and accommodating in helping to calm the patients. Even though they don't take Delta Dental and I pay out of pocket, the costs are not unreasonable, and they work with Delta to get you reimbursed. 10 stars, definitely recommend!

Fantastic experience: My daughters have been going to Aloha Dentistry for years now and we would highly recommend them!!! Dr Nakazato is excellent with kids and teenagers!! Dr Nakazato and the staff are professional and friendly, and they explain everything clearly. We are always seen on time and the office's fun Hawaiian theme is warm and welcoming. Whether it's a routine cleaning or necessary dental work, my daughters are always comfortable in this office. Mahalo for the wonderful service everyone!!!!

Fantastic experience: They did great with my little one at a year old and 2 years old. Great customer service, great dental service.

Negative experience: During our last two visits, both times our dentist (Dr. Katsura) was unable to get our toddler to trust her and asked us to “hold him down.” From reception to checkout the visit was just about ten minutes - she kept switching between toys, a regular and electric toothbrush. She and her attendant were going too fast and not meeting my toddler where he was to get him comfortable. At home, he enjoys brushing his teeth and initiates it on his own. When I mentioned this, Dr.Mika said “we need to let mommy brush your teeth,” as if I don’t brush his teeth afterwards! At one point, I asked her what she was doing (because she seemed anxious and was talking out loud about switching between the regular and electric toothbrush) and she just said “I’m cleaning his teeth.” She made little effort to work with us, from clarifying what toothbrush he uses (an electric one, which she insisted is start using after our first visit where she shamed us because he was resistant to her then) to what his home setup is like, etc, until after it was clear he had shut down (not making eye contact with her). Afterwards, she insisted we play dentist at home to get him acclimated. I’m part of a mom group and dozens confirmed that they switched out to a more play-based dentist after a forceful experience like ours. This experience was so disconcerting that I called and canceled our appointment the next day and our account with the office. They forgot to submit our claim properly TWICE (the first time they insinuated it was my fault for closing my account) and the second only after I reminded them. They used the wrong Insurance as we switched carriers and now we’re still in the process of resolving this issue (since end of August).

Fantastic experience: Unbelievably positive experience. My son had a poor visit at a previous dentist and we have been trying to get him to not dread going to the dentist for the past year and half. Today he was excited about going, sat on my lap in the chair, got his teeth cleaned and inspected, and in the parking lot said “daddy I want to go back to the dentist!” So so so so happy with the team at Ohana and I think they are world class caregivers. I had 3 now young adult children have all of their dental care there since they were 2 yrs of age.They demonstrate kindness, professionalism, compassion and positivity when dealing with parents, children, teens, and young adults. Fantastic experience: We had another positive experience when we brought our 6 year old twins here for their bi-yearly check up. We visited the Berkeley office. The dentist and assistants were patient and friendly throughout the visit. They explained about their new teeth coming in and flossing. Preventative care, including sealants for their molars were discussed also. We will continue to bring our children here. They love coming here.

My children have not only received The very best routine care but they have also experienced exceptional care for dental trauma’s along the way. Every experience in the dental chair has been gentle, caring, and thorough. I wouldn’t go anywhere else for my children’s dental needs.

The check in area and exam room is well organized and they follow strict hygiene protocols in both areas. The best we've ever seen. Our children have been seeing their doctors there since we moved to the area in 2017.
