Not only is Dr. Garcia amazing, but what makes the office a pleasure is the staff. Luiza at the front desk has always gone above and beyond to help me with anything I need. My thinking was always, “How many times can you praise the same perfection?” It almost felt pointless. But I have to share this one. Lately, I’ve received quite a few compliments from relatives and friends about my teeth and smile. Those are always nice to hear. But today’s compliment felt different because it was completely unexpected and genuinely sincere. A young woman came to my porch asking whether I had already voted. I politely told her that I had. She thanked me and said she appreciated that I wasn’t indifferent to the voting process. Then, completely out of nowhere, she added: “You have great teeth.” Not “You have a great smile.” Not “You look nice.” “You have great teeth.” As odd as it may sound, that compliment meant a lot because it was so specific, spontaneous, and honest. So, Dr. Garcia and the entire team—thank you. The work you do doesn’t just improve teeth; it gives people confidence that others notice, even in the most unexpected moments.

Fantastic experience: We found Dr. Garcia’s office after moving to Tujunga a few years ago. His office is by far the nicest dentist office we have ever gone to. It’s so clean, and everything seems so new and really taken care of, it’s very inviting and comforting. The equipment seems super hi-tech, I love it, it makes a statement that this office is interested in the latest greatest technology! Everyone is super nice too. And Dr. Garcia is soooo good at his craft, he did several things for me and every single procedure was smooth, painless with beautiful results. Oh and Christine who is a Hygienist is amazing, I look forward to dental cleanings with her. She recommended laser treatment, we did it and it helped my gums so much. So overall this office gets 5 gold stars for sure!

I am grateful for the sun, for the moon, for this magnificent planet where we all live, but today I am grateful to my two favorite two legendary doctors and their staff who make our life brighter, better, and stress-free. They heroically worked even during the disastrous pandemic times to save peoples' teeth, and obviously their lives. Today I wish to commend my dear doctor Carlos Garcia, who blessed me by referring me to an incredible, amazing periodontist, an exceptional implant expert to Dr. Faroush (anoush-sweet) Gaminchi right on time. A while ago, I accidentally fractured my tooth from the root and after Dr. Garcia’s thorough explanation how important it was to have an implant, to avoid any tooth or gum complications in the future, I agreed. Although I was scared to death, I am glad that I agreed because I had the pleasure and the honor to get to know Dr. Gaminchi, an incomparable in her field dentist. She performed multiple procedures, a surgery, and other dental procedures, on me. I am quite honest, no exaggerations, I never experienced any pain, any swelling, or even any bruises nor any complications. I only followed her instructions. I admire her for her strength, for her knowledge in modern dentistry, her courteous attitude, her warmth radiating from her heart, her caring nature. We, the patients are so fortunate to have Bright Smiles Dental with all the staff and the doctors. That is why I want to extend my deepest and sincere gratitude to all staff, to office manager Luisa, who always found ways to make my worries disappear. Honestly, every time when I would go to my appointments in order to calm me down, she would demonstrate and explain the difference between the implant and a single denture that was another choice for me. Negative experience: My experience at this clinic has been disappointing. I requested my X-ray images over a month ago and, despite sending several emails, I still haven’t received them. The lack of communication and professionalism is quite clear. I visited the clinic on October 22nd for a cavity and a broken tooth, but the doctor kept pushing additional treatments that had nothing to do with my actual concerns, including aesthetic procedures I never asked for. I later went to another clinic and received a completely different—and more objective—opinion, which only increased my doubts about the recommendations given here. On top of that, the prices are extremely high, and it really feels like they prioritize selling treatments over addressing the patient’s real needs. Even though they do have good equipment for imaging, their service and communication are very poor. I do not recommend this clinic, especially for anyone looking for transparent, professional, patient-focused care.

Fantastic experience: Yesterday was my first visit (cleaning and x-rays) at this dentist after finally having been convinced by my husband, who has been going here for two years, that I should make the switch from the one I’ve been going to for 20 years. I’m so glad I did. The office was extremely modern and clean, and the entire staff kind and professional. I also didn’t feel as if I was being “up sold“ which these days seems to be a thing at dentists (them trying to sell you procedures and extras that you may or may not need for extra money). It really was a very pleasant experience, and I am so glad I made the switch. For anyone living in and around the Montrose/Glendale or even La Crescenta/Pasadena area, this is a really great practice.

Fantastic experience: Where do I begin? I started coming to Dr Garcia about 5 years ago based on a referral from a friend, due to my teeth needing a lot of help after years of neglect. That mixed with a bout of anxiety in medical settings, and then the pandemic, I stopped going altogether. I was getting more fearful to go. I called the Office Manager Leuiza about a year or so ago because of course another tooth fell out, she had me come in immediately. Dr Garcia, and all of the office staff (Leuiza, Gabriel, Elen, and Tanya) knew of my fear of Dental procedures. They all walked me through me the process of teeth extractions, implants , then crowns. They never made me feel badly for my decay, or thinking that I wouldn’t be able to make it through the procedure, they had faith in me, and that alone made me stronger. They were so kind and treated me so well, like family! Dr. Garcia is an artist with Porcelain Veneers!!! I finally made it to the fun process of dental procedures, Cosmetic Dentistry! He was right about everything he said about colors, size etc. He’s amazing at what he does. Dr Garcia and his staff worked effortlessly at getting me the best treatment possible, and I will never be able to thank them enough. I finally can smile again, and show my teeth proudly. You all deserve 100 stars.

Positive experience: Part of me wants to give them five stars, and another part of me wants to give them one. I am splitting the difference with 3. The Good: They all genuinely seem kind, the technology in the office is obviously top tier, and I just got back from some dental work that seems high quality. Nothing was painful, and Dr. Garcia showed me his work on the dental camera when he was finished, which I thought was a nice touch. I think that if you are in-network for this office, it should be your regular dentist. The Bad: It is misleading to say that an office "accepts your insurance" when they are actually out-of-network. That feels like a straight-up lie. I just spent over $600 today on a necessary preventative procedure that, it turns out, would have been completely free had I gone to someone else up the street. Reception should be clear. They may call your insurance on your behalf and calculate your out-of-network benefit, but they are not in-network, and you will pay the difference out of pocket. I would never have approved today's procedure if I knew that "accepts your insurance" does not mean "in-network" to them. Another annoyance is that they won't let you schedule a cleaning without having a consultation first. That means a lot of calling off of work (3 appointments total - one for the initial consultation, another for the cleaning, another for the dental work).

Fantastic experience: They are wonderful. Always very warm. I've never been made to feel bad (as with some other dentists) and they offer more natural solutions to every day dental care. I grew up extremely poor with a traumatic childhood. I did not get to go to the dentist until I was in my mid 20s. The 1st time I went to see a dentist, I was shamed. At Dr Garcia's office, I've been made to feel at home and guided through the process of keeping my teeth healthy. If you have any anxiety regarding dentistry, I recommend giving Bright Smiles Dental Studio a chance.

Fantastic experience: I am so afraid of going to the dentist and since I have been going to Dr. Garcia he and his staff have ALWAYS been so warm, welcoming and understanding. My insurance does not cover going to Dr. Garcia but I still go because this is the first time I feel comfortable going to the dentist. They have state of the art equipment and I have NEVER had any pain. If you are looking at a new place to go I suggest you call Luiza (she is the BEST!). I am so much better and not so stressed about going to the dentist! LIsa
