Negative experience: They would not clean my teeth - instead they charged me $100 for recommending thousands or dollars in dental work. Felt like I was at a car dealership, but worse.
Fantastic experience: This is my favorite dentist that I’ve ever been to. It’s certainly the best dentist in Burbank and probably all LA county as far as receiving standard treatments. My mouth feels pristine after my visit

Fantastic experience: Dr. Arkelakyan is an amazing dentist. I got 2 implants done by him and did not feel a thing. I only took pain meds the first day and that was it, I think that says a lot. I’m very happy with his job and will referral him to anyone that is need of an implant. The stuff are very knowledgeable, caring and on top of their job. Amazing office!

Negative experience: GET A 2ND OPINION DO NOT TRUST THESE DENTISTS THEY WILL RECCOMEND SERVICES NOT NEEDED AND NOT COVERED BY YOUR INSURANCE, I WENT FOR A 2ND OPINION AND IT SAVED ME 3,009 DOLLARS THEY SAID I NEEDED A 3D IMAGE OF MY JAW FOR 500 DOLLARS OUT OF POCKET AND THEY SAID IT WAS LIFE THREATENING. 2ND DENTIST SAID I WAS LIED TO GET A 2ND OPINION i went back at the end of april to let the dentist repair and fix what was wrong, after 4 attempts he stopped it was WORSE AND I WAS IN AN EXTREME AMOUNT OF PAIN he then kicked me out of his office and refused ti fix what was wrong this is a breach of the agreed upon treatment plan and i recieved substandard services coastland dental failed to perform a reasonable standard of care. they refused to treat any further and refused to issue a refund. he said go somewhere else, i asked politely if he could put in writing his refusal to teat any more or issue a refund he raised his voice and said GET OUT AND DO NOT COME BACK EVER , he said this in the waiting room in front of 1 other dentist 2 staff MEMBERS and 6 PAITENTS IN THE WAITING ROOM. as i was leaving he laughed i am a dissabled senior living on a fixed income and they treated me bad, embarrassed me and i am still in pain. coastland dental should not be allowed to get away with this GET A 2ND OPINION-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------AND A GOOD LAWER--------

Negative experience: Definitely tried to upsell and get the most out of my elderly grandma. Doctor pushed for most expensive option and pushed for it so much that he had a patient come into the room with us to try to convince her to get it done. I was able to find a more affordable and more friendly place that was willing to work with her and her budget while getting her teeth back to a healthy state. Definitely overpriced.
Fantastic experience: Amazing service. Unfortunately I went in with no insurance and a strong budget, they still found a way to help me and get me to lowest payment possible since I was having severe wisdom to pain. I was able to leave with the tooth extracted! The place is very clean, everyone was very polite and patient. I strongly recommend this place to anyone in the area or even further away, it’s worth the commute!

The office is so calm, no pressure or stress. Fantastic experience: I had a great experience with Dr. Yalda and Erica during my recent appointment for fillings and a laser treatment. I was a little nervous going in, but they immediately made me feel comfortable and at ease. Throughout the appointment, they checked in on me regularly and took the time to make sure I was doing okay. Fantastic experience: Had my deep cleaning with Amani the hygienist and my fillings with Dr Yalda and man am I lucky to have found them at Coastland Dental. Amani was extremely friendly and recommended services that made me feel heard and not judged. As a previous smoker she helped with some of my staining issues and had me try something called Airflow which was amazing. Made my teeth so much brighter!!!! Dr Yalda did great with my cavities. I was nervous because I haven’t done dental work in a bit and she made me feel at ease and worked fast. I Waited maybe at most 3 minutes in the lobby and was offered drinks and snacks while I waited in my room . Over all the entire team makes you feel welcomed and it looks like they care about everyone that walks in. They took my insurance and took care of the billing for me. I can’t say enough great things about this dental office. I will see you guys in 6 months

Fantastic experience: I’ve been going to Coastland Dental since 2022 when I was referred for some implants. I can confidently say that if you need anything surgical, like extractions, implants, bone grafts, Dr Artur and his team will treat you like needed. With them I always feel comfortable and not at all nervous. He is so gentle that I don’t even feel the needle of getting the numbing shot. No pain or discomfort. The best!!! Everything starts from the front desk and the assistants who are there for the whole journey. The office is super clean and I know they always use the best materials. I recommend Coastland Dental to everyone!!

Negative experience: I came to Coastland for a routine exam a few months ago and after reviewing my X-rays, the dentist recommended a laser cleaning without an explanation for his recommendation. I asked if this was the standard method for a cleaning at their practice or an additional service for extra cost, and he confirmed that their standard cleaning did not come with a laser treatment. Afterward, the dentist claimed that I needed multiple partial and full crowns. I've never had a crown or advanced dental work so I was skeptical. I know crowns are often not covered by insurance so I asked for an out of pocket estimate and he came back to me with a charge over $5,000. I'm writing this review now because I went to another local dentist recommended by a friend and they recommended 2 standard fillings, which would be mostly covered by my insurance. When I explained what happened at Coastland they confirmed that they were trying to overtreat. There are other similar reviews of over treating/overcharging and on Yelp they claim those reviews are false, but they align closely with my experience and I would suggest taking them into account before making an appointment here. While I understand that a private dental practice is also obviously a business, it is wrong for healthcare professionals, who we trust to have our health and best interest in mind, to fleece patients out of thousands of dollars for unnecessary dental work.
We take concerns about trust and treatment recommendations very seriously, which is why this review is concerning to us, as we have no record matching this described experience.
Several statements in this review do not reflect how our office operates. For example, treatment recommendations at our practice are based on clinical findings, diagnostic imaging, and patient education, and any recommended treatment is elective until a patient understands and agrees. We do not present “standard cleanings” with surprise add-on services, nor do we diagnose extensive treatment without explaining the reasons and available alternatives.
It is also important for readers to know that second opinions in dentistry can vary, especially when providers take different approaches such as monitoring versus treating earlier. That alone does not mean overtreatment occurred.
We encourage anyone with genuine concerns about a visit to contact us directly so we can review records together transparently. Our practice has built its reputation on conservative, ethical care and long-term patient trust, and that is reflected by the many patients and families who continue to choose us.

Fantastic experience: Coastland Dental is awesome!!! I've been seeing Dr Yalda and Dr Tigran. Both are super gentle, caring and knowledgeable. I had scaling and root planning (deep cleaning) done along with a zirconia crown and may I say that every visit has been super easy and smooth. Their team is awesome and be sure that they'll care of all of your questions and needs. Gaya in the front is very friendly and helped a lot. Fantastic experience: I've been coming to Coastland since 2020. Dr. Artur and his team are the best!!! He did an All-on-4 (teeth in a day) procedure for me and my life changed. I can eat anything I want and it looks absolutely amazing. Gricel in the front desk helped me throughout the process and answered all of my questions. Fantastic experience: Recently decided to switch dentists and I was pleasantly surprised this place is very calm, peaceful everyone is very kind and happy very clean very aesthetically charming they also have coffee and chocolate in the lobby, which is nice. Everyone is really kind and patient with you And the Dentist is very transparent with you with options. I have been to a lot of dentists in the last years, but I really felt a lot of peace in this office, which was very nice. I would recommend this dentist office to my friends.

Fantastic experience: I am in CA for a week over Christmas only. As luck would have it, the tooth I had scheduled for extraction in January started to hurt...REALLY hurt. After a couple of days I knew I couldn't wait any longer. I started calling dental offices. Many were closed for the week, a couple didn't have any openings to get me in. Coastal Dental not only got me in that day, but they were professional and genuinely concerned about my pain. I would highly recommend Coastal Dental to anyone looking for a five star dental office with very compassionate staff. They literally saved my Christmas.

Fantastic experience: My regular dentist was booked out u til after Christmas and new year break, they got me in as a day of appointment, the pain I had showed infection under a molar, Which meant root canal. I was In and out with a temporary crown in 3 hours . My dentist had a great bedside manner and checked on my comfort level regularly. This was the best of a bad situation .

Fantastic experience: I had an easy and great time during my visit for a routine cleaning and annual check-up. Dr. Rostamnezhad was the dentist who attended me and she was super sweet and listen to all my concerns. I did went in as well to see if I needed to have one of my wisdom tooth’s removed and if needed if we could make an appointment before the year ends. Let me tell you that the staff and doctors told me the wisdom tooth removal was going to be able to be removed that same visit, and they did an amazing job! Dr. Rostamnezhad and her assistant did an amazing job, it went by fast and very painless. Shout out to the receptionist for being very informative, nice, and helpful. Gaya thank you for answering all my calls and emails. A great dentistry to go! Especially if you moved from another state and don’t know any dentist place to go to.
