Fantastic experience: They are all wonderful ❤️

Negative experience: The dentists are great so it's unfortunate that I have to give one-star for their business practices. I came here every 6 months for years. On my last visit I was 15 minutes late due to my previous appointment running behind, called while en route, & they told me not to come. Never even mailed me an invoice like any normal medical office would. I then started getting extremely aggressive nonstop robocalls from a collections agency who has stalked my entire family for months claiming that I owe a $50 cancellation fee. Alfaro will never see a penny from me again - this seems like a poor way to keep clients

What truly stands out is how much they care about their patients. Last year, I had a dental emergency, and they were able to fit me in the very same day, which meant so much. Fantastic experience: I recently moved to the area, and quickly found that Alfaro dentistry took my insurance. I was pleasantly surprised by the total price of my care after insurance. It was less than half of what I’ve experienced at other Atlanta dentistries. Dr Szikman was efficient and cultivated a friendly warm experience. Gudelia not only exceeded my expectations with the clarity of upcoming charges, and making sure that I understood every part of the treatment plan prior to agreeing, but she was such a joy to speak with. The whole process from the beginning has been smooth and comfortable. I highly recommend Alfaro dentistry services.

Fantastic experience: REVIEW UPDATE: I am changing my review because I am very thankful that the office has been kind enough to refund some of the fees I’ve had to pay out since dealing with incident. They did not have to do this, so it shows that they truly want to provide the best service they can to their clients. I’ve learned a very valuable lesson but Alfaro Dental is definitely worth 5 stars for taking care of their clients. ORGINAL REVIEW: I can’t begin to explain how angry, disappointed, frustrated, and DONE I am with this office. I went last week just to have a cleaning done. They found a broken wisdom tooth and decided to refer me out to have the teeth removed. $156 later after a consultation I found out they referred me out to someone not in my network who tried to max out my dental insurance for 2 teeth so they denied it anyway. I called and asked Alfaro dental care why and excuses later I had to call and find someone myself. Another $111 the new office needs me to have Alfaro to send over their X-rays because they know that my insurance won’t cover another set. I called for them to do so and instead of them just emailing over the X-rays to the office they need the office to call and request the X-rays. I had to have another set of X-rays done.

Fantastic experience: this is the best dentist office i have been too in my experiences of dentistry the receptionist are exceptional and they care and more over Dr Szikman is the calmist and coolest dentist ever he makes you feel relaxed and comfortable i had to get a tooth pulled was scared half to death cause i havent a tooth pulled in over 5 years and Dr S kept reassuring it was nothing to worry about you will be fine he kept saying ,,, and he meant every word after i got numbed up and sat my mind was all over the place while i was waiting for the procedure but when Dr Szikman came in and ask could i feel anything I said no he said ok and I close my eyes in fear and before i even opened my eyes back up he was done i almost cried cause i thought it was joke he was done i never felt anything and i was able to go back to work the next day that was my experience but yours may be different but please know Dr Szikman loves and he cares for his patients he is a Diamond in the rough and the funny side to my experience you cant sleep on him cause his work is precise and phenomenal he deserves way more recognition if i . could give him a commercial or Atlanta news first report it would have been done a long time ago but i hope everyone reads and see this review this story isnt made up its my honest truth Thank you Dr szikman im your number 1 fan

Fantastic experience: I fell behind on my dental regimen following the pandemic and then my hip went out. This office worked with me to craft a timely treatment plan helping me to achieve dental clearance so that I'm a go for total hip replacement. Dr S, Abigail and the Alfaro team are amazing! Very warm, friendly people. (Multi Lingual as well) The office is modern, clean and properly sanitized along with staff wearing proper protective coverings. The exam rooms offers the patient an opportunity to have treatments while watching flat screen tv's. Free broadband Wifi and water. Warm blankets and dark glasses helped eased my anxiety. Located in Belmont area of Smyrna GA.

Positive experience: This review is a challenge for me as I have had incredible experiences with the Doctor & Elaine at the front desk, but practically nightmare experiences some hygienists & office staff. I have severe anxiety regarding dental work, and I disclose this loud and clear at every visit. I have had multiple hygienists speak so insensitively to me that I was brought to tears. Beyond that, the billing practices of this office are horrific. Estimates, bills, out of pocket payments, refunds for overpayment- nothing is correct, consistently. I understand the difficulty of processing insurance but have been deeply unsettled by their practice of over collecting in advance with no explanation. It seems extremely misleading and dishonest and is the direct cause to cause me to choose not to come back. Adding insult to injury, I had purchased a ‘lifetime whitening’ package which was to include a tube of whitener upon every cleaning visit. This package was unnecessarily difficult to collect on each visit and I was given a hard time trying to do so. Years later they have changed the program to exclude the stronger whitening formula. Again I was left feeling deceived. With all these experiences it is extremely difficult for me to even consider returning which is truly a shame, but my last few visits were notably unpleasant.

Positive experience: I had a generally positive experience with the dental team at this office. The dental assistants and hygienists were attentive, caring, and professional. Dr. Szikman is clearly passionate about his work and demonstrates a high level of knowledge! I appreciated the helpful tips provided on addressing some of my problem areas from both the provider and hygienist. I wish I could recall her name to give her kudos… However, I did find that the office seems to prioritize a more business-driven approach, which may not be ideal for everyone. Additionally, the level of customer service provided by the front desk staff appeared inconsistent at times…. While the care itself was satisfactory, the overall atmosphere felt more transactional than personal. Based on my experience, I would not personally recommend this office, especially for those seeking a more individualized or patient-centered approach. The other day, one of my temporary caps came a little loose while I was flossing. They managed to squeeze me in first thing in the morning get it taken care of with great detail and care and I was off to work and made it to work on time, these folks are the best.
