Negative experience: I’m very disappointed with my experience at BridgeTower Dental. I made my appointment weeks in advance and uploaded my insurance cards through the patient portal ahead of time specifically to avoid issues at check-in. However, when I arrived for my appointment, I was told they did not have my insurance information on file. I then sat in the lobby for over 30 minutes trying to sort it out, with no resolution. As a very busy person, I simply do not have time to sit in an office hashing out insurance questions that should have been addressed long before my appointment date. If there was an issue verifying my insurance, I should have been contacted prior to my arrival so it could have been handled ahead of time. The lack of preparation and communication was extremely frustrating and made for a very disappointing experience.

Negative experience: I left (private) feed back 1 year ago and again (private feedback) after my last appointment 6 months ago to fix the parking lot lights. Last week I had teeth cleaning and noticed the same issue that I have left private feedback on for twice over the year. Call an electrician to fix the strobe lights in your parking lot it looks bad and is also unsafe. Someone might have a stroke or just double down and capitalize on it by hosting a RAVE in parking lot and pass out molly. I am also going to leave private feedback on another issue that I had after this review. I will be happy to update this review after my next visit.

Negative experience: I normally love going to the dentist, most of the time I fall asleep when I am getting my teeth cleaned- today was the exception. The woman that works at the front desk is wonderful- she really makes you feel like she enjoys her job- she is personable and kind. Every other time I have been here the hygienists have been so great! Today I had someone I had never had before. The first thing she mentions is that I need fluoride to which I responded “oh no thank you, I am not doing that today” her reaction was weird, she pressed “well why? When are you going to do it?” First of all, I said No, it should have stopped there. Then I had to give an explanation as to why I didn’t want to pay out of pocket for an extra service- I don’t like this kind of stuff. Then I heard the people in the room next to us trying to push the Fluoride as well and I thought “ahh- this must be something they are all being told to do- makes sense”. Then onto my cleaning. This was the most painful cleaning I have ever had in my life. I genuinely felt like she was taking it out on my gums that I didn’t decide to do fluoride. She never said a word to be during the entire process and multiple times I was wincing and flinching in pain- I even cried actual tears. I have great teeth, I brush and floss twice a day so normally going to the dentist is a really enjoyable and satisfying experience- not today, it was just awful. It was so rough and so aggressive I really don’t know how to explain it. Immediately my gums felt sore. She finished and then I went to the front desk to check out, my husband had a balance which was weird because we have great insurance. What was it for? The fluoride he got last time! He paid 25 dollars out of pocket and then they charged us an additional 91 dollars! $116 for an upsell- crazy. Now I am home and cannot even chew on anything my gums and teeth are so sore. This is really a shame. All of the other girls that have done my cleanings here in the past were SO sweet and so good, I truly do not know what happened here but I will not be back.

Negative experience: My appointment was at 10:40. I arrived at 10:30. I left at 11:05 because I had not yet met the dentist. We agreed to meet at 10:40. My time is just as valuable as his. I will not subject myself to people who think they are better than others bc they have a degree. I wouldn't give this any stars if there was the option.

Fantastic experience: One of my crown's came off today. I called tDr. Cox's officeand asked "Do I wait till I come in within a week for my normal cleaning schedule"? Or should I come in before? They got me in within an hour and I was out in 45 minutes. I love the way they take care of you. I hope loyalty goes both ways.❤️

Fantastic experience: I have had a standard cleaning and two teeth capped with Dr Cox. My experience with him and his staff have been excellent. Dr Cox allows ample time for my questions, explaining the what he suggests we do and never acts rushed during my appointment. I switched from another dentist who barely had time to look at my teeth and quoted my crazy high prices as he was walking out the door. Without any hesitation I sincerely recommend Dr Cox for those who are new to the area or looking to switch local dentists as I did.

Fantastic experience: I went in today to have a crown resealed to the post. It had popped off while flossing on Friday night. Dr. Cox made time to see me and explained the process as he did the repairs. He’s very kind and I was very grateful for his working me into his schedule when it was unexpected.

Positive experience: Appointment times are difficult since the office is closed more days per week. Office is clean and nice decorations. One nurse hated hooking me up to nitrous. I don't think she works there any more. Dr cox has been my dentist for over 30 years. Very knowledgeable and funny!

Negative experience: Worst dental experience of my life!!! I was going in for a root canal and the doctor was rude and didn’t communicate well what was going on. He walked in and asked what do we have here… like he didn’t even know what he was doing with me. Then just started sticking me with needles and my heart rate went through the roof with no warning. He goes.. oh this happens to some people… Then he put water in my mouth to see if I was numb and I could feel it. He goes you are going to have to be sedated. My initial reaction was no. He then got upset and stormed out. He didn’t explain the situation or guide me through my options. He just got upset and left. So I was numb with my heart rate pounding and left with a numb mouth and no procedure done. I left in tears and Afraid with my anxiety through the roof. It was the worst experience I have ever had with a dentist. Do not go here!!!!!!!!

She was efficient, considerate, and seemed to perform the cleaning and polishing in such a way that it didn't send shivers down my spine this time. I've been going to Bridgetower for around 4 years now. Dr. Cox and his crew are always a pleasure. Even when I've moved around town, I haven't moved Dentists.

Fantastic experience: Dr. Cox and his staff are fantastic! He has been my dentist for a number of years. When I visit, the office is clean and appointments are prompt! If delays, I have been notified up front, often well before my appointment. Also, great care is taken to make sure I am comfortable and pain-free during procedures, like fillings, etc. When something comes up for dental work - a quote is given showing how much insurance and out of pocket costs will be, so no surprises. I highly recommend Bridgetower Dental.

Check out was fast and they found a F/U appointment that worked with my schedule. From checking in to checkout everyone was amazing.

Fantastic experience: Love Bridgetower Dental. Dr Cox is extremely good at what he does. I have had my share of bad dentists and painful procedures. Not so with Dr Cox. My husband also was fitted and received new dentures here that were far superior to his initial set. So glad we found Dr Cox!

Recently we had to switch to a different office as they’re not in our new insurance network. We didn’t want to, but money is a real thing and always plays it’s part. Negative experience: Shocked to walk in and discover staff were NOT wearing masks. Considering we are in a COVID pandemic. Just don't understand. We are all responsible for the health and safety of our community. Apparently, Bridgetower is exempt from this.

My wife has been going to Bridgetower for about 2 years and absolutely raves about Dr. Cox and his amazing staff so I scheduled my appointment and let me tell you, I have never been happier with a dentist. I had an amazing experience, they made me feel welcomed, important and comfortable- Always checking in with me and made sure I knew exactly what was happening throught the whole process. Fantastic experience: I love Bridgetower Dental. I had the privilege to work with Dr Tom Cox and his wife LisaKaye when they donated their time for the local makeover for a chosen recipient. It was so refreshing to work with people of integrity. That is when I chose be a patient. That was in the 90s. Every six month I go and have my appointment and it still is the best experience.

Fantastic experience: Bridgetower Dental continues to be a great place to go. My appointment was a 2 p.m. I was finished by 2:45. Very little wait time. Very professional staff. Update: While I think the quality of service is still good here, it is becoming very difficult to actually get into the dentist anymore due to only being open 3 days a week from 7:00 to 3:00 p.m. I have been coming here since 2006 and will more than likely need to find a new dentist that offers more accommodating hours at this point.
