Fantastic experience: Clear communication from the office with any scheduling changes, appointments always on time and they never seem to be running behind. Every dentist and hygienists has been kind, clear and professional.

Fantastic experience: Great practice, the staff is so nice! They also are so helpful with billing and sorting out claims with insurance, the office manager helped me with a billing issue I had. Most importantly, they are great with cavities, everyone hates cavities but a light hand and communication goes a long way

Fantastic experience: Part 2: I completed my Invisalign treatment with Beam, and it was such an incredible experience. I want to specifically shout out the team that helped me, Dr. Lin, Dr. Kang, Michel, and Michelle (MichelLe Squared!). My treatment took over a year and went through some hiccups here and there but they handled each situation professionally and helped create a plan that helped me complete the treatment in time for my move. I cannot express enough how great everyone was and how accommodating they were to my needs. If I could give them 20 stars, I would. Thank you, TEAM, ya'll rocked it!!! The staff was so kind and attentive. Dr. A was great! Super down to earth and was always straight forward about the treatments I needed. My hygienist Amulya did a fantastic job with my cleaning. Negative experience: I was disappointed with my experience at Beam Dental in Hoboken. When I called regarding an appointment and explained that I did not have dental insurance, the staff member I spoke with, Monica, was dismissive and unhelpful. I felt that my questions were not taken seriously, and the interaction left me feeling unwelcome. Regardless of a patient’s insurance status, everyone deserves to be treated with courtesy and respect. Based on this experience, I was not satisfied with the customer service I received.

Negative experience: I used to like this place. But I recently had a bad experience with them. My retainer is broken so I ordered a new one and I paid online in advance. They told me to wait for 2 weeks. But I got nothing. I called and they said they would order me a new one. Waiting for 2 weeks, and I got the one that is for the other patient. I emailed and called them. No response. Finally they answered the call and told me they would send the correct one to me. After waiting a few weeks, I called. I talked to the staff called Monica. She said she does not know anything but asked me to send back the one to them ASAP. I said I will send next week. They spoke to me in a very demanding tone and insisted that I return the package immediately. They also told me they would not send my correct aligners until they received the incorrect ones back. I am currently traveling and simply cannot work around their timeline for returning the package. On top of that, I don’t think it’s reasonable to expect a customer to bear the consequences of a mistake that was entirely made by the company. Their shipping error should not delay my treatment or create additional inconvenience for me.

Fantastic experience: Guys, go to Dr Lin if you need orth done well! He is professional, always think what’s best for you, pushes for the best result for you! I had a complicated case, and he was so patient the whole time in the process. I was supposed to be on the last tray, and about to give up and accept maybe this is my situation. But Dr Lin examined carefully and put in more treatments. That made difference! Dr Lin holds high standards himself!

Negative experience: I did not have a good experience. The cleaning was fine, and some X-rays were done. I was then presented with a $4000+ proposed plan for various extractions and so on. I'd been told at my last cleaning elsewhere that I had a cavity but was otherwise fine. I then went to a different provider who said I need a cap on the tooth with the cavity. $800 all in. Something doesn't add up here

Fantastic experience: I was extremely impressed by Dr. Zarei and her team! This was my first visit to Beam Dental and I ended up needing minor oral surgery. It was also my first time getting stitches, so I was very nervous! My anxiety does not fare well with any kind of medical procedure and I ended up feeling lightheaded beforehand. Fortunately, Dr. Zarei and her hygienists were at the ready with an ice pack, juice, and anything I needed to feel better during my anxiety episode. Beam Dental treated both me and my anxiety with a level of gentleness and care that I’ve rarely experienced from any medical team. I felt very safe in that office. As for the procedure itself, quick and painless. So glad I found this place!

Fantastic experience: First time coming here and I truly loved it. From a person who is terrified of dentists (even for a normal procedure as cleaning), they treated me very kindly and were aware of this. I asked if they could apply numbing gel so I don’t feel too much pain, and they didn’t hesitate. From taking the x rays, to the cleaning part and then meeting the doctor, the staff was SUPER nice to me and my fear of dentists are now lower due to this experience. Also Amulya, who did the cleaning, was checking on me during the process, which I truly appreciate! Negative experience: I got a filling. Tooth started hurting whenever I ate after the filling so I went back to get it fixed. The fix made it worse, so I went back again. The dentist claimed I was lying about the pain, so I stopped going. It still hurts to this day. This was several months ago.

Negative experience: Stay Away from Beam Dental in Hoboken. Despite this practice being listed as an “In-Network” provider on MetLife’s website, my son was seen by an “Out-of-Network” dentist when he arrived for his initial annual exam/cleaning/x-rays. Needless to say, this practically depleted our annual allowance. Then, then they gave him an estimate of $850 to fill four cavities, when my typical out-of-pocket is about $20-$40 per cavity. There is general chaos in this office. They do not return calls for weeks on end – not only regarding this billing matter, but also just requesting the initial appointment. Monica’s lies and excuses were endless: 1. She told my son he cancelled his appointment on the day he arrived. In fact, she told the next man to walk into the office the very same thing. 2. She claims she told my son he was being seen by an out-of-network dentist before walking into the examination room, which was a total lie. My son would have left immediately had he known this as he is aware of the higher costs associated with OON providers, and he specifically asked if they accepted MetLife when booking the appointment. 3. When I questioned their $850 estimate to fill four cavities, she told me the dentist was in the process of applying to be in the network, and her office would honor the in-network price. However, when his claim was submit to MetLife for his annual services, they didn’t see it this way and charged us the out-of-network price, which depleted his annual allowance. 4. She told me MetLife didn’t know what they were talking about and was giving me “bad information”, when she was wrong all along. I’ve had MetLife Dental insurance for approx 20 years and never have they given me misinformation. After my numerous conversations with MetLife to review the negotiated fees using the dentist’s treatment codes, MetLife confirmed he should have had approx $400 remaining on his annual $500 allowance after the initial exam, and his projected out-of-pocket costs to have all four filled would have been approx $100 had the services performed on his initial visit been performed by an in-network dentist. 5. She refused to admit her error. She declined to participate in a three-way call with me and MetLife to resolve this matter, and told my son to call the office himself to discuss. I am the cardholder, and this was not a privacy breach to discuss a billing matter, but she would not speak to me. Save yourself a headache, money, and time and RUN!

Fantastic experience: Beautiful dentist office in a prime location! The team is nice, helpful, and a dream to work with. Very happy with the level of care I received for my check up.

Negative experience: Extremely disappointed with the lack of professionalism and communication. The office closed today due to a doctor’s emergency, yet no one bothered to notify scheduled patients. I showed up completely unaware, wasting my time. When someone from another location finally returned my call, acted like she had no idea what was going on and only offered to reschedule after I asked what to do next. The soonest available appointment was a month away. I understand emergencies happen, but the way this was handled felt disorganized and disrespectful to patients’ time.

Fantastic experience: Amazing experience from start to finish. I never thought I was going to have straight and aligned teeth until Dr Kang came into my life. If you think you could use even the smallest of alignments, you need to head to Beam.

Had to speed up the process towards the end due to plans to relocate. Dr Lin had my retainers order and ready just in time for my relocation. Dental Assistant Deanna was also very sweet. I would totally recommend this location. Overall, I had a pleasant experience there.

Fantastic experience: I had an initial consultation with Dr Luvison today for Botox treatment for my teeth grinding after wanting a second opinion as my initial dentist did more scaring than encouraging me to get the procedure. She was extremely helpful and took the time to answer every one of my concerns regarding the procedure until I was satisfied. By the end of the consultation I knew I felt I understood everything about it to move forward with booking, and that I wanted her to be my doctor and conduct the procedure. She was very informed about everything I was worried about and understood and addressed my concerns in a very experienced and reassuring way, while explaining the scientific side of the issues in an easy way so I could understand. I am very glad to have met with her, and would highly recommend her to anyone who was looking to have similar procedures done in general. Update: had the procedure and chose Dr Luvison after checking with some others. She made me feel the most informed and comfortable, and the procedure was quick, professional, and she made sure I felt completely ok before letting me leave, explaining every step of the way. Would absolutely come back!

UPDATE (5/5/25): I went for a routine cleaning and was seen by dental hygienist Amulya and Dr. Kang. Amulya provided great customer service, she is thoughtful, and is patient centered. I also liked Dr. Kang.

Fantastic experience: I got my teeth whitened and cleaned here and it was such a great, transformative experience. The cleaning didn’t hurt at all, which was a surprise. My cleanings at other places always end up with me being uncomfortable and in pain. Not here. Also, my teeth whitening treatment was completely painless and the recovery has been smooth. The hygienist and doctor let me know that most people usually stop at the second step, but I went through all 3 steps with absolutely no pain. They know what they’re doing and I’ve gotten compliments on my teeth <3 I will always go back here from now on.

I then went back for a ortho consultation and the following day. They had state of the art technology and offered a treatment plan to address all of my concerns. With the 0% APR payment it’s really something to consider!
