Fantastic experience: Everyone i came in contact with was very polite, smiling and spoke positively during my visit.

Negative experience: I'm not sure if the reviews on here are fake , but the experience i'm having with this woodyard periodontics is not at all close to what they are describing. I have witnessed the doctor belittling and chewing out his own employees. At today's appointment, his assistant did not put the light in the correct position.And that man gave her the death stare , like that was the biggest mistake she had ever made. My thought was, why don't you try and teach your assistant what to do and how you like things?Stop belittling them, chewing them out and getting in their face.Because yes , I have seen this man do this. I was very uncomfortable and do not ever want to go back there. The dental work itself was good, and I did not have a problem with that , it was more how he treated his employees that I was not okay with.

Fantastic experience: Dr. Woodyard is an expert at sedation, IV and oral. I don’t remember a thing from my surgery yesterday. And the post surgical pain control was very adequate. The dental chair even has massage. Everyone there is so kind. This is a very professional office. I was treated like royalty. 10/18/25 I have had two more surgeries, one very complicated, both with oral sedation, as I am nearly impossible to get a vein in. The oral sedation was equal to any IV sedation I ever had. I was totally out. The additional local pain control lasted until the next day, and then the oral post surgical pain control was very generous. Dr. Woodyard knows how NOT to Hurt you. He and his staff continue to treat me like royalty. Definitely first class.

Fantastic experience: Incredible technology, incredible people and very informative. I am very confident that they will make the right choice for the health of my smile and gums and with longevity in mind. They’re not there to just make a dollar. Dr. Woodyard will make suggestions and give recommendations but does so thinking about the future for less work down the road. He is not go looking for a quick fix. He would rather find the right solution within your means that comes with the longest lasting fix.

Dr. Woodyard is great about explaining options and exactly what future visits will entail! I felt very comfortable and that’s good because I drive from Paducah, Kentucky to see him! Yes, he’s that good! Update to original post: Dr. Woodyard has performed two MAJOR dental surgeries on me since December and he was able to achieve what other doctors said couldn’t be done. He is a great periodontist/specialist and I cannot say enough about his skills and expertise. Great personality, too, which helps you feel like you’re in the right hands. His staff is right up there too! Update June 11, 2025: Every time I have a follow-up appointment with Dr. Woodyard, I am amazed at the excellent care I receive. ALL of his staff, in the treatment rooms and up front, are amazing! They are all so efficient and skilled and still manage to create a “fun” environment! Dr. Woodyard is the best and he has pulled off more than I imagined when I started this year long process. Update on July 22, 2025: Just had another dental surgery performed yesterday by Dr. Woodyard. Nothing personal, but I HOPE it’s my last one! . I still have nothing but great things to say about Doctor Woodyard! He is the BEST and I live in KY about two hours away, so that should tell you how talented he is in his profession. His support staff is great as well. One other thing to add….when I started this process last year, Dr. Woodyard was very upfront with me about what a long journey this would be. He was also very upfront about what the experience would be like (discomfort at times, etc.). He didn’t sugarcoat anything so that I would know exactly what to expect and when to expect it. All I can say is…..He NAILED it! Last Update on May 8, 2026: My final appointment with Dr. Woodyard after an almost two year process. This last checkup just to make sure that every “I” was dotted and every “T” was crossed”….and, no surprise here, it was all perfect! Dr. Woodyard and his staff are the best! Throughout this whole process, they would explain every step before they proceeded so I would know exactly what they were doing and what I could expect then and on my next visit. I am not sorry that I won’t be driving to Evansville so often but I can honestly say that it was worth every mile driven, every cent spent and would not change a thing. Great results and a great team!

His assistant Mia I think that was her name was very sweet. Both of them made me feel at ease and comfortable. I have an appointment in April and he is going to explain my options for my treatments.

Fantastic experience: The staff is wonderful. They explain every part of procedures and after care. One thing I recommend during full mouth procedures is a white board and marker for the patient. I couldn't fully communicate the type of pain I was having because I couldn't talk. The doctor thought I was reacting to the pressure but that wasn't it at all. I used my phone later to explain to the assistant what was wrong. Adding to this in February of 2026: I am still a patient here and they are just as good as ever! They explain everything and answer all your questions! Everyone on staff is so friendly! Love this office! And welcome to the new Dr. Dority as well!

Dr. Woodyard and everyone I encountered on his team was extremely professional and had a personal touch with how they conducted business. Worked with me due to my busy schedule, and yet kept me on target to not jeopardize the dental procedures I was having done there. I would not even consider going anywhere else if I have to have any more dental procedures like this in the future.

Fantastic experience: I’m not a fan of the dentist so when my hometown dentist suggested I see Dr Woodyard, I was very uneasy, needing to travel out of town to a stranger. From my first consultation until my last appointment, everyone in the office made me feel comfortable. After my surgeries, they always called to check on me. (And I always had a number to call if I had issues.) My issues took over a year to complete but I’m so pleased with the results. I’ve never felt so confident about my smile.

So to say my day at this dental office was the most humble experience. And to all big Thank you to all .. Update from my surgery last Thursday. Fantastic experience: The hygienists here are very thorough and do a great job. My teeth feel so clean after a cleaning procedure. Had an implant done. They checked on me frequently to assess healing. My regular dentist put on the crown afterwards and thought it looked like it healed nicely also. No complications. Very competent care. Thank you!

Negative experience: This was not a good experience for me. During the periodontal exam, the assistant used what felt like a heavy-handed technique on an already sensitive tooth. I told her it was painful, and while she apologized, the discomfort continued. Afterward, my gum felt irritated, and my tooth became more sensitive than before. When Dr. Woodyard came in, I found his manner to be curt and dismissive. I didn’t feel listened to or supported. He seemed reluctant to offer reassurance or fully explain next steps, and I had to initiate questions myself. Overall, I left feeling disrespected and discouraged. While others may have different experiences, I would not personally return or recommend this practice. I had a much more constructive and supportive visit with Dr. Greif in Evansville.

Fantastic experience: The people working at this office are Great! The Dr. Meets with you personally, the receptionist is very friendly, and the hygienist are the aare fantastic. I don't give good reviews very often, or very easy, but this one deserves it! Great job.

Fantastic experience: Going to a periodontist is probably not going to be your favorite thing, but Dr. Woodyard has made it as easy as it could possibly be. The office is attractive and warm, but it's the staff that really makes all the difference. I've met quite a few and they have all been kind, professional, and easy to be around, which reflects the leadership of Dr. Woodyard himself. Dr. W. came very highly recommended by people I know, and I agree. I feel very safe in his care.

Fantastic experience: Dr woodyard and his staff are very thorough and gave me so much detail of what and why I was having issues with my teeth. I went to another implant Doctor first but did not have a good feeling about what they were telling me. I am completely ignorant when it comes to implants but something just did not feel right. I called Dr woodyards office just to get another point of view. I am so glad I did. Now he is not the cheapest but I firmly believe You get what you pay for and I need my teeth hell I use them everyday.
