I needed to get my dental bridge re-done since the sensitivity of my old one was causing a lot of pain. Dr. Martinez and his dental assistant stayed 3 hours after they closed to fix it for me, because he knew my sensitivity was affecting my quality of life. Negative experience: I came in for a cleaning, it had been about two years since my last cleaning and I am not the best at flossing so I knew my gums might need some TLC but generally I’ve always had healthy teeth no cavities. The dental hygienist came in 20 mins after my appointment time and looked at my teeth for three seconds and told me I had periodontal disease and that I had to have a deep cleaning to my whole mouth, that would require numbing to complete and antibiotics on my gums. I was also told that I had a cavity. Before they would schedule me for the deep cleaning they required me pay upfront $450 (very weird as I have never been asked to pay before a procedure and have good dental insurance). I decided to cancel the appointment and get a second opinion and thankfully they agreed to refund my money. Went to another dentist who told me that I did not have a cavity and that I had very mild peri to two areas of my mouth and offered to complete the cleaning in two appointments because I would get better insurance coverage if I did it in two appointments and I paid a total of $88. I also did not require numbing or antibiotics because the peri was so mild. My recommendation is to get a second opinion before making any sort of payment or scheduling a procedure here as they seem to prioritize money over giving patient centered care.

Fantastic experience: I had an emergency dental issue and was able to get seen quickly, which I really appreciated. The office got me in right away and the staff was very kind and helpful from the moment I called. They made the whole situation a lot less stressful. The dentist was thorough, explained what was going on, and took care of the problem efficiently. I felt like I was in good hands the entire time. Overall, I’m really grateful they were able to help on short notice and would definitely go back if I ever need urgent dental care again. I’ve been a patient here for about a year now, and I’m so glad I made the change. Every visit has been a positive experience.

Fantastic experience: Enjoy coming here. Always hated going to the dentist because everytime I went, something hurt. Haha. But this office makes it easy and pain free. Have had a lot of work done the past few months, root canals, extractions, filling and now a cleaning. Everything was great, the girls were awesome that took care of me. They made it easy and quick.

Positive experience: The entire staff (from the reception to the dentist) was very nice and professional. I was given two treatment options for my tooth with clear explanation of the costs and pro/cons of each. Update: I lowered my rating from 5 stars to 3 stars because of issues with billing that I have had with Salt Flats. Their dentists and hygienists are still great and professional. They would bill me for services after teeth cleaning even though I repeatedly asked them that I didn't want any services that were not covered 100% by my insurance.

I was sooo nervous hearing all the painful experiences from other people getting their wisdom teeth removed but my experience today just INCREDIBLE AND FUN :) It is amazing when you see people doing what they love, with so much passion and professionalism! You can feel that in every procedures weather is cleaning or a surgery, they will make this a fun and great experience!!! I even laughed, enjoyed and felt supported by the doctor and the assistant they were amazing, no pain during the numbing process, neither the extraction (He told me also my wisdom teeth were very good located for extraction) and it has been already 8-9 hours with no pain yet. Not sure if I will have any at this point but I feel so grateful I found them and would 100% recommend you to go there and enjoy a wonderful experience, even the front desk the are sooo friendly and kind :) it smells really good and it is very cozy! Thank you thank you a thousand times!

Fantastic experience: As someone who gets pretty anxious about dental visits, I couldn’t have asked for a better first experience here. The staff took time to explain every step before starting, and the dentist was incredibly gentle and patient. They didn’t rush anything and made sure I was comfortable throughout the entire visit. Negative experience: The staff are nice ,and seem to really care but at the end of the day I'm left to wonder if that's really true or if it was just a good front...I went to my appointment oct 3 ....they sent prior authorization to my insurance...I called 2 weeks after and my insurance said they had not received anything from Salt Flats Dentistry ... Finally I got them to resubmit October 27th and November 19th I talked to my insurance and they submitted the wrong code...So they needed a modification done... Today is December 8th and she's just barely working on the modification...If your looking for a place that makes you feel important,like you are a priority I don't think I would come here...Yes they are super nice ,They talk a good talk ...but here we are almost 2 and half months into getting something that should have only taken 3 weeks....I am just praying that it's worth the wait ...I know they are human and make mistakes but a lot of this could have been avoided had they just listened to me in the beginning when I told them the insurance company didn't receive it...so that was a wasted month,and then they didn't do the paperwork the right way ....so now it's 2 months wasted ...I will update my review as progress is made

Negative experience: I did not have a good experience with this office. Almost every time I went in, I had a different dentist working on my teeth. They had to reschedule multiple of my appointments because they said their dentist was out of town. The hygienist there was super rough on my teeth and cut up my gums a ton, then told me that she had been a hygienist for a long time and the pain is just what comes with getting your teeth cleaned. I also had a cavity filled and had to get it fixed by them 3 separate times because I had a ton of pain with the tooth that got the filling. I still had problems with the filling and ended up getting it fixed by a different dentist because they told me the only other way to fix it was with a root canal. But after getting it fixed by a different dentist I no longer have pain. It feels like this office just wants money and they don’t treat their clients with respect, and it doesn’t feel like they keep their clients best interest and dental health in mind. I definitely wouldn’t recommend going to this office.

Fantastic experience: I had avoided the dentist for many many years because it had always been a horrible experience. I finally couldn't avoid it any longer. I had the great fortune to choose Salt Flats Dentistry in Riverton. From the get-go, everything was professional, and smooth. The receptionist and staff were very experienced and friendly. The dentist, Dr.Shroeder, was by far the very best I've ever been to. He is the first dentist that has gotten me completely numb. I felt nothing the entire time. It was wonderful!!! I have a lot of dental work still to be done, but now I don't have to agonize over it. I told my friends and family to switch their dentist to Salt Flats. Trust me, if you're anxious about dentists, this is the place to go.... Myron Child

Fantastic experience: I wish I could have found them sooner. The atmosphere in the office was the comforting thing I’ve experienced at any sort of doctoral level. My spouse and I do not like dentists very much, well at all really. This..this business, the people, and atmosphere. This is the kind of experience every doctor and his associates should give. I was told my another dentist that I should pull all my bottom teeth out because they don’t seem to look like they will last me longer then a year. (Depressing right?) The same doctor told my spouse, that “in their condition, it’s best to pull all of the teeth out and do dentures” Now hearing all of that, you’d feel probably embarrassed, and a little gross cause hearing you need your teeth pulled doesn’t mean you’ve got beautiful teeth. So I called around to find a new dentist, that takes our insurance. Wouldn’t you know, our teeth don’t actually need any pulling, just a little TLC.The relief I felt was amazing. Same as my spouse. Their first words were “ I told you we needed a second opinion. We don’t need our teeth pulled” the fact that he was that happy says wonders. All of them were so down to earth, actually listen to our worries, and really care for our wants and preferences. The lady in the front makes you feel like..like you are her child and she is so excited to see you, and wants to hear about everything since the last visit. I swear on everything I will NEVER go anywhere else. I will ALWAYS said them first! More than likely the only one I would say! Bonus: they don’t do impressions like others do. They do the 3-D scanner. That alone won me over. I have always hated that nasty stuff. Please consider them!!

Fantastic experience: I don’t write reviews very often, but I’ve been meaning to leave a review here for a while. I think I might be Salt Flats Dentistry’s biggest fan? And that is crazy as someone who has hated the dentist for as long as I’ve had teeth. I genuinely never thought I would feel anything less than hatred and anxiety going to the dentist. But, the staff here are honestly some of the nicest people I’ve ever met. Every single time I go, I leave feeling cared for. They care about me just as much as they care about my teeth. Idk… I just really love it here.

Negative experience: 2025 update: the tooth below the crown in my earlier review wore away after 3 years. The dentist didn’t notice it until I pointed out how much it would move during a checkup. I am in need of an implant now. I had to finance it as it was more than I could pay. The problem? They charged me an additional $400 for a retainer after extracting the tooth. Why wasn’t this part of what was financed? Seemed pretty shady to charge me $400 AFTER I financed the work. The other problem? They told me they’d call in three weeks to schedule the extraction. Didn’t hear from them for eight weeks. It’s frustrating to deal with mixed messaging and surprise costs. Once this work is done I’m finding a new dentist. Review from 2022: My insurance changed and I had to pick a new dentist. I’m glad I picked this one. I had some tooth decay under a crown so Dr. Lloyd replaced it. The tooth underneath the crown was a little too weak as three months later it broke. I called and was able to come in within 15 minutes and they got started right away with the repair. My previous dentist had seven or so dentists in the office, so it seemed like an informal assembly line. It felt very business-like. Salt Flats Dental feels much more low-key and friendly. The assistants and front desk are all friendly and nice. Dr. Lloyd took time to discuss things with me and give options and pros/cons with certain things.

Fantastic experience: I feel so lucky to have found Salt Flats Dentistry. They were able to see me last minute on a Saturday for excruciating tooth pain that I was having. Dr. Lloyd and Leah scheduled me for a root canal the next week but told me I could give them a call before then if the pain was unbearable. The next day I was in an incredible amount of pain and called Dr. Lloyd and Leah and they came into the office in a Sunday to do my root canal. I had never been to this dental office before and I immediately felt so cared for and they made my comfort a top priority. While getting the procedure done they made sure to explain what was happening, took their time, and were very thorough. I am so grateful to have found such an amazing and caring team!

My wife and I relocated here from Houston and are extremely glad to have found Dr. Milne and Salt Flats Dentistry. They also worked extremely well with our insurance to obtain maximum benefit.

Negative experience: Worst dentist in town! Huge scam! Billed us over $500 just for looking at my wife’s teeth and then they wouldn’t even do a simple cleaning! They then tried to give us a treatment plan that would end up costing over $8000! Went to a different dentist afterwards for a second opinion and the bill went from over $8000 to under $1000. Save your time and money and stay away from here! Dr. Lloyd told my wife 3 different versions of what treatments she needed (which were way overkill) plus they wouldn’t even do a simple cleaning for her. Then tried to tell us she needs a cleaning with antibiotics and chemotherapeutics which would cost us over $1400 out of pocket. Ridiculous! Worst experience we have ever had from a dentist.

Fantastic experience: My family has been going to Salt Flats Dentistry for a few years now and we couldn't be happier! Dr. Lloyd has been a fantastic dentist and always takes great care whether it's a cleaning, filling, crown, etc. Everyone there is so kind and takes time to make sure you feel welcomed and have any questions answered. I actually look forward to going to the dentist! It's like seeing old friends.

Fantastic experience: WOW! Hands down the best experience I have EVER had at the dentist! Not only is the staff GENUINELY friendly, knowledgeable and supportive.. the entire process from booking the appointment to leaving the appointment was easy, quick and painless! I was able to get in right away for the exam, cleaning, and all of the work done (fillings) same day and within 2 hours! I felt like an actual patient rather than a new client having to listen to different sales pitches in order to get a treatment plan. It was a one and done deal with a follow up appointment and cleaning in 6 months!.. Which I am actually looking forward to instead of dreading it like I usually do. The dentist is incredibly gentle and kind with your comfort being his number one priority. I highly recommend this office and dentist! If you’re debating on whether or not to book an appointment here.. don’t hesitate .. you will thank me! :)

Negative experience: Disorganized Office & Billing Issues My wife and I gave this place a fair shot, but we ran into serious billing issues. We were charged for services that were never performed, and even after pointing it out, no one took responsibility or made it right. The office also felt really disorganized. Staff often seemed like they were still being trained, and the whole place felt more like a dental school than a professional practice. If you're considering this office, double-check every charge, get things in writing, and don’t assume everything is being handled correctly just because someone says it is.

Negative experience: I do not recommend this dental office. My experience here was disappointing and concerning from start to finish. They double-booked appointments, which meant staff frequently left procedures halfway to see other patients. In one instance, a dental assistant dropped a needle down my throat during a routine cavity filling—very unsafe. The office seemed inexperienced and disorganized. On top of that, they charged me over $2,000 upfront for a crown procedure that never happened—then refused to refund it. They reallocated the payment without my consent. They left me feeling deeply betrayed in both trust and care.

Fantastic experience: Dr. Milne is seriously the BEST he’s a gem! He did my cleaning when the hygienist was out, and not only was he super thorough, but he had me laughing the whole time. He is so talented, personable, and just makes things fun. Would recommend him to anyone!

Fantastic experience: The first time I went to Salt Flats Dentistry, I had a broken tooth and they fit me in at the last minute and even stayed late to make sure my tooth got fixed properly. Dr Milne did a fantastic job! Six months later I needed a crown done on another tooth. Again, Dr Milne did great work. I felt no pain during the entire procedure. Jocelyn also did a fantastic job adjusting my bite afterwards. All of the staff are friendly and knowledgeable. I highly recommend Salt Flats Dentistry.

Negative experience: I am so disappointed in this office. I wanted so badly to love my experience but it has been a mess since my appointment. I had an appointment in February 2025 for a cleaning and checkup booked as a new patient with a promotion. Before my appointment I provided all of my insurance information and verified over the phone that my plan was accepted and in network with the provider. After my appointment, while still at the office, I was told that they hadn’t heard back from my insurance company and couldn’t go over my treatment plan but they weren’t sure why. I called a week later to ask about my insurance and treatment plan and was told I’d get a call back the same day. A week later I had to call again due to no call back and they still had no information for me. This put me toward the middle of March with no information about my insurance or treatment plan and I had an upcoming trip I needed work completed before. Fast forward to today, May 6th, almost 3 months later, I get a text message as the first communication since March stating that the provider is out of network and I owe the office my entire visit which should have been covered by my insurance per the phone call I made PRIOR to my appointment. I would have never went had I known this. Not only that, but I scheduled a new patient appointment which should have been heavily discounted as they were running a promotion - no promotion was added to my account. I called the office and got no response and still haven’t heard from anyone aside from this shocking text about the hundreds of dollars I owe them. No apology and no accountability. The work I need is still not completed and I could have had it done already if I had this information sooner. I definitely do not recommend this office due to a lack of transparency, accountability, and terrible customer service.

Fantastic experience: In all my life, I have always hated the dentist. Just never enjoyed getting numbed and most of the time, still felt pain. I scheduled an emergency appointment because I had an abscess tooth and was needing a root canal for a while. I held off because again, hated the dentist. The team got me in, took some x-rays, and scheduled me to come back a couple hours later. This was one of the best dental experiences I’ve ever had. The numbing was easy and didn’t hurt. The entire procedure was painless and fun! Chelsea and Dr. Milne were cracking jokes and making the time fly by! Normally, after getting a root canal, you need to come back for the crown. They were able to get it all done in ONE DAY. I was seriously impressed. My pain was gone, I could finally eat again, and the crown fit perfectly. Seriously the best experience. Went back for a regular cleaning and Emma and Leah were super awesome with the clean, informed me of how to take good care of my gums and teeth, and have another appointment scheduled. Appreciate the great environment they’ve created here and the comfort they bring to someone like me who has anxiety about dentists. Love Salt Flats. Forever a customer.

I came in for X-rays and needed a deep cleaning, Tamara was so patient and kind and explained the process every step of the way. She made me feel extremely comfortable and for the first time in a long time I am not scared to go back. The office staff is also so nice!

Fantastic experience: I LOVE this dentistry, Dr Lloyd is incredible! My whole life I've had issues with needing extra numbing (just a genetics thing I guess), and Dr Lloyd always takes me seriously from the beginning with my requests for extra numbing, rather than ignoring me or making me wait like previous dentists that I've had. The hygienists have also been extremely kind & friendly. The environment is so fun, and I've enjoyed the fact that they talk to me & each other even while working on my teeth-- silent dentists are boring, and this practice definitely isn't! ♡

Fantastic experience: I have gone to Dr Lloyd for awhile now and this last checkup asked about what could be done to fix some spacing in my teeth that had always bothered me and affected my confidence. He listened so intently and answered every question I had. We decided to do 6 veneers. I felt comfortable about the process, pricing and results I would get. About 6 weeks after asking I couldn’t be happier with the results. My confidence is far improved and I just feel happier. They look fantastic and not fake at aLL. Everyone at the office is great and has been so interested and excited in how the process was going for me. Special shout out to Dr Lloyd and Chelsea who supported me the whole way through.

Fantastic experience: I had the best first experience I've ever had at a dentist office! Salt Flats Dentistry is a great place to go, especially if you're looking for a new dentist. I've been to the same dentist for the last few years and haven't loved going for one reason or another. I'm now looking forward to my visit.

Negative experience: I received three treatments about 9 months ago: a cavity treatment on the upper right, a partial crown on the lower left molar, and a crown on the lower right molar. The main reason for my visit was the lower right molar. I had previously visited another dentist who recommended a root canal, so I came to this clinic for a second opinion. After taking an X-ray and examining the tooth, the dentist said I didn’t need a root canal and that a crown would be sufficient. Now, 9 months later, I still can’t chew on that side. The pain worsens every time I eat cold food or drink cold water. I visited three more times after the treatment to adjust the bite, but the pain didn’t improve. On my fourth visit, the dentist told me there was nothing more they could do and advised me to stop coming. She even handed me another dentist's business card, suggesting I go there for a root canal if the pain persisted. What I found frustrating was that the clinic didn’t offer a solution to fix the problem. It felt like the dentist misdiagnosed and mistreated the issue, yet they asked me to seek treatment elsewhere without taking responsibility. Honestly, I feel bad leaving this negative review because the manager and staff were very kind and professional, but I’m not satisfied with the treatment I received. I still can’t properly use my tooth after all this time. For reference, I’ve been flossing daily and rinsing with salt water occasionally. Based on my experience, I wouldn’t recommend getting a crown treatment at this clinic

Fantastic experience: Woke up with severe tooth pain. I called and they had me in the doctor's office less than 2 hours later, Stacy went through some checkup and hygiene stuff with me and Leah helped me come to a price for a wisdom tooth extraction that I could afford with no insurance. The extraction went smooth and Dr. Milne and Kimberly were very careful and patient with me throughout the extraction. It was a great experience and I intend to return.

Fantastic experience: I had a great experience with Salt Flats Dentistry. I visited them for my biannual teeth cleaning and examination. The staff was very welcoming. Stacy, my Hygienist was so nice. She and her team made sure that I was comfortable and tried their best to answer all my queries starting from X-rays to the cleaning process. I am so happy that I have found my dental care nearby and I would definitely recommend them to all my friends and family.

Negative experience: This place is a scam. If you don’t have insurance & you want to do their new patient deal for a cleaning & x rays. Don’t go here. I used to be a dental assistant and I’ve gotten regular cleanings since I was a kid. I just had moved back from Vegas & was due for a cleaning. They did what all hygienist do when they get a new patient and measured my gums. Normal range is 1-3 and 4 means basically you need to floss more because 5 and higher means you have unhealthy gums. She told Me I had a lot of 4’s and quite a few 5’s. Being in the dental field I felt panicked. So I allowed her to do a deeper cleaning , which I had to pay for more than there “new patient price” I went to a new dentist & got a cleaning by someone else & she measured all my gums to be 2-3. She said there is no way I had 5’s a few month ago. Besides some staining from coffee I had a completely healthy exam done. All this to say, this office just wants high revenue & they’ll lie to get it

Fantastic experience: I am terrified of the dentist and always have been. Everyone here has been so amazing with me and my insane anxiety. Leah is an absolute queen and if it wasn't for her, I am not sure I would have gone back. She is so kind and comforting. All of the staff I've encountered have been so kind and answer all my questions and are very patient with me. I'm very new to going to the dentist so I have a lot of silly questions. Definitely recommended coming here!!

They all have their jobs cut out for them when it comes to making people feel less fearful and comfortable. All the work they have done for me has been nothing less then their best. They have helped me through my journey on the entire process. I always leave with a smile knowing the staff all care about their patients. I have a great relationship with them and couldn't ask for a more patient, kind and loving people. Dr. Llyod explains the process and is very gentle and patient. The ladies all do their jobs with so much care and reassurance. I have referred many of my family and friends as I strongly recommend Salt Flats Denistry to anyone who has any fear or anxiety when it comes to having any dental work done. They are the best.

Fantastic experience: I had not been to the dentist in years. The more time passed the harder it was. My girlfriend found this place and made an appointment for herself. I joined her and was impressed by all the staff there. I decided to make my own appointment. I let the staff know about my anxiety and how much time had passed since I had been to the dentist. They were very understanding and patient with me. Although it is still hard to do I know I'm in good hands they have been understating and have been amazing with my treatments. Fantastic experience: I want to leave a review to share how outstanding I think Salt Flats has been. I am a prior patient of Dr. Chaveleigh and Lloyd at a different practice. Dr. Chaveleigh took amazing care of me. I have high-functioning autism and anxiety. Over the years, as I have needed more extensive dental work, it's been harder for me to tolerate, and I get scared. Dental care has been painful for me due to the state of my teeth rapidly worsening because of Crohn's disease. I also have trouble getting numb. At my prior provider's office, after these guys left, I continued to stay for a while. The doctor who took over was good but told me that I would need an extensive restoration consisting of crowns on each tooth in my mouth.I felt that it made sense, but it wasn't a good fit for me to maintain long-term, nor could I afford it. I also have a difficult time with communication of my needs. I searched to see if I could find a second opinion and came across Salt Flats along with a few other practices I was considering booking at. It was a pleasant surprise to see both Dr. Chaveleigh and Lloyd there. I called, and immediately I felt positive vibes having a conversation with the front desk.Because I was familiar with both Dr.s it was a no brainer. I scheduled an appointment, and they got me in quickly. The team looked at my records and helped me come up with a plan that was a much better fit for me. It was spread out over a few appointments, but we're almost near completion of that plan. I have felt safe and supported the whole time. They checked that I was feeling comfortable and that I was pain-free. They gave me as much time as I needed to ask questions and adjust ro get comfortable. I got to meet the whole office when we came up with a treatment plan.I will miss Dr. Chaveleigh so much. She is moving on, but I feel really excited to move over to Dr. Lloyd's care and the rest of his staff. I will be bringing in my family also if they want to see the dentist. Thank you guys for going the extra mile, presenting the facts, and showing so much empathy.I appreciate everything you guys have done. I wish I could give you a million positive stars.
