Fantastic experience: If you’ve ever felt anxious walking into a dental office, this place will completely change your perspective. Our experience at Manvel Dental & Implant Center today was truly exceptional. Dental visits have always brought anxiety for both my fiancé and me, and we have spent a long time and a lot of money searching for a place that genuinely feels like home. From check in to check out, every single person delivered a level of care we have been hoping to find for so long. They do not just put the customer first, they put YOU as a person first. Your questions, your concerns, and your goals are truly heard and understood. It feels like the purpose behind everything they do. Dr. Collins is incredibly knowledgeable and engaging. He takes the time to explain things in a way that makes you feel informed, comfortable, and cared for. It is clear he is focused on addressing the root of the issue, not just the symptoms. We are excited to begin this journey and truly grateful to have found this place.

Negative experience: Dr Collins is superior in his Dentistry, airway care, and holistic medicine, and his staff is very accommodating. The considerable disconnect occurs when Dr. Collins recommends great (alternative) treatments that aren’t covered under your insurance, yet the disclosure of out of pocket expenses from his billing support level is lost. In addition, wait times for procedures are much longer than expected seemingly dental assistants and support personnel seem stretched and unorganized.

Fantastic experience: My first visit to this dentist office was excellent. But it starts from the call i made to schedule a appointment. Juanita took care of everything i needed to set me up. I ended up not having insurance which i thought i did. Juanita found out for me as well. Then today was my appointment. Everything went well. Everyone was very pleasant. I had a tooth extracted and the Cowboy Dentist did a great job. My thanks to all the employees at Manvel Dental. It was a pleasure meeting everyone and thank you. I appreciate all of you.

Positive experience: Today was my very first visit to this office, and from the moment I walked through the door, I was greeted with kindness. The receptionist was very nice and polite, and the gentleman who assisted with my X-rays immediately noticed my anxiety. He made me feel calm by keeping a friendly conversation going and explaining every step of the process. The dentist himself was unlike any other I’ve met. His knowledge about overall health—and how it connects to dental care and the whole body was impressive. He took the time to explain everything I was dealing with in detail. The entire staff was amazing, attentive, and genuinely cared about my concerns. I’m so happy I made the decision to come today and truly feel blessed to have been heard and cared for by such a compassionate team. 2/10/2026 I’m updating my review with the intention of being fair and constructive. My first visit was a genuinely positive experience, which is why I felt comfortable returning. During my follow-up appointment, I came in because I was experiencing significant pain and had concerns about a possible infection. While a treatment plan and associated costs were discussed, the dentist did not personally examine me during that visit, and recommendations were communicated through an assistant. I ultimately left the appointment still in considerable pain and with noticeable swelling, without having had a direct evaluation by the dentist. For patients—especially new patients who are experiencing pain—direct assessment and clear communication from the provider can make a meaningful difference in feeling informed, safe, and truly cared for. I share this with grace and understanding that days can get busy, but also with the hope that patient-centered best practices remain the priority. Patients aren’t just numbers, and feeling seen and heard matters.

Fantastic experience: I have NEVER had a teeth cleaning like this before. Amazing. Beautiful. Wow! My gums even came back to life. I thought that these dark gums came from aging. There pink again. AFTER THE FIRST VISITE, REALLY! Wow! I found them through a Cowboy Dentist commercial. The people are very smart and knowledgeable. Leadership is definitely there. Positive experience: I was hesitant to write this review but here it goes. Overall the staff was pleasant, however, there was one staff member that found it her mission to keep saying "she doesnt have insurance" to any staff member who was within hearing distance. It became quite annoying. Is a person without insurance treated differently than a person with insurance? Hmmm, just wondering . The initial exam was a quicker and less thorough than I anticipated but it was pleasant overall. I didn’t like being asked to try getting help from my family and friends to help pay for this extremely expensive procedure. I was not given any alternative, much less expensive options, like snap in dentures. I left there feeling a bit deflated and ready to to throw in the towel. I really can't see getting into large debt at this time, investment or not, with no other options being offered. This is too rich for my blood, thanks but no thanks. It was very nice meeting the "cowboy dentist"

Years of hiding my teeth, avoiding pictures and living with discomfort took a toll. My smile faded and the frown lines started to age my face. I heard Dr. Collins on the radio say something that stuck with me: that your health problems could be connected to infections and bad teeth. I decided to go in for a free consultation I told the dentist honestly that I was scared. Scared of the pain, the needles and the past memories of dental trauma. The pain I had lived with came from expose nerves and waiting too long. This time the process wasn’t painful. They prepared me with the full health package to make sure my body was ready. Fantastic experience: I had been experiencing knee, leg and joint pain for years. I thought it come with age. I went to my doctor and was telling him how my leg and joints was hurting all the time. When I go up the stairs my knees use to tremble. He gave me pills for arthritis but some time it seems like it didn't work. I had a root canal done in my twenties and somehow I discovered an abscess in the root. I was told they needed to redo the root canal.....long story short I went to Dr Collins he explained everything I needed done at a good price. I Had that particular tooth pulled and all the pain I was experiencing is "GONE" yes pain free, and he replaced the tooth the same day, who wants to go home with a missing tooth. I want to thank Doctor Collins and staff for all that they have done for me. I can run now!! I highly recommend Dr Collins for all you dental needs, thanks again!!

Fantastic experience: The facility is beautiful and the office staff is super friendly. Dr. Collins is extremely knowledgeable of dentistry and takes his times to explain the many dental procedures. He’s actually so down to earth that I almost forgot he was a dentist, lol. Great office.

Negative experience: I am speaking out for my dear friend Doris who has been a patient of theirs since February 2024. She is 75 years old and not tech savvy so I feel it’s my duty to speak out for her since to this day she is still having issues with her bottom implants. It’s been 17 months and can only eat soft foods. I have personally been out to dinner with her and watched her wipe blood from her gums. She has been back there approximately 15 times for her pain and issues with the temporaries and permanents. It took them forever to have her permanents ready. Now let’s get down to the monetary part. Initially, they quoted her $9500 and they wanted it in cash. The next time she went in and was in the chair they wanted another $2000 in cash, then $1500 more the next time. When she went in for her final, they wanted another $3000 cash and she finally said no. Bless her heart, I feel like they took advantage of the elderly. In the beginning, they told her they were going to do extra for cash so I’m sure that made her feel good. In my opinion, she just got extra bad service. She has since moved to Bedford, Texas to be close to her family. She’s already been to another dentist in Bedford and they want another $14,000 to fix what this place has done. She came down recently to get a copy of her x-rays and upper and lower impressions but of course she got the runaround. Finally, a young man was nice enough to find her impressions. Think long and hard before you come to this place, especially if you are elderly. They are not honest and will take advantage of you. By reading some of the reviews, I see that other people had similar problems. I strongly feel they owe her some money back, but I’m sure she will never see that. Now she has to spend it all over again to have quality of life. Shame on you! If I had time, I would picket the place!

Negative experience: Do NOT go here even for the supposed free consultation!! They billed my insurance after taking X-rays they had to have for the consultation claimed they did a full mount of Xrays but just did the ones for consultation or did not even consult me about any additional charges or fees. As soon as they found out I had insurance they went to billing. When I found out about the billing I called them and they assured me it would be fixed and removed and instead they continued to collect!! This place is so scammy I would avoid them like the plague. I am filing with BBB and local business board. Practices like this need to be shut down and forced out!

Fantastic experience: I recently moved to the Iowa Colony/Manvel area from Cypress, Texas, and I had my share of frustrating experiences with a couple of local dental offices. However, my visit to Dr. Collins, was a breath of fresh air. From the moment I walked in, the welcoming atmosphere and friendly staff eased my anxiety. Dr. Collins' knowledge and holistic approach to dental and whole-body wellness really stood out to me. I had wisdom teeth extracted, and the recovery was surprisingly smooth, thanks to the support from the dental assistants and staff. They were incredibly comforting throughout the process, and I even got to listen to Beyoncé during my visit! A huge thank you to everyone at Dr. Collins' office for making my experience so positive. Negative experience: I tried my best not to leave a bad review. I’m left with no choice. I called and emailed multiple times and have yet to get a returned call from (Becky )Rebecca Fenner Operations Manager. I was not satisfied with work being done and proceeded to go to another dentist. All i asked was for the refund of the difference I’m owed, which I paid $25k up front thru cherry financing. I only received roughly 10percent of my treatment which were tooth extractions. I’ve called April 22 no return call from Becky, i called April 24th also no return call. Before that i emailed and called in March about my refund. My last appointment was in January 2025 and i still haven’t received an updated bill and refund. I asked Becky about my refund in March and she told me it could take 30-60 days before they could get with accounting to see how much is due back to me(which is a joke). Especially every visit i had they always knew what my bill was until it came time to pay me back. I can go into depth why i chose another dentist but i wont. I’ll leave that for my second review.

Negative experience: Previously gave 5 stars as I my first visit was great service. However, a year and multiple visits later, I can personally say that if I had it to do over I would have never gone to this dentist. I paid in full my deductible and over the course of the year for various reasons, both my fault and theirs, I never received those services. They refused to refund me for services not performed. They stated I was responsible for what insurance did not cover. I asked if insurance paid for what had been done so far and they stated yes. I was getting a bridge and having it placed. I never got the bridge nor placed. THEIR lab screwed up and made all these impressions of my teeth. Not my fault and insurance paid for what was supposed to be done. I said did I get the bridge made? They said no. I said okay, so did I get the bridge put in? They said no. I said so why would insurance pay if I never got it? They said well we couldn’t bill them. Ya think? It was NEVER DONE!! So then I’m like so I need a refund of my deductible. Insurance covered what’s been done and I shouldn’t be charged for what hasn’t. They said let me see if we can get you in to finish (I’m moving). So I went in, waited 3 HOURS!! Nothing. So I call back and they are like well you have to come back in I said no I’m leaving Friday, that was on Monday (it’s Tuesday at this point), I’m done dealing with you guys. No one is listening I just want to be refunded for what hasn't been done, I don’t understand why that’s such an issue, I’m moving across country and do not have time to wait hours. So they were supposed to call back. No call back. They call back on Wednesday morning. The office manager said well we are done so you can’t get a refund. I said done? And then asked the question again if I have a bridge or had it in. No. So how are we done? She said oh well we have packages, we don’t do one service, everything pertaining to a service is done as a package so. I said this is a dentist…lol it doesn’t work like that…so she’s like well let me talk to the lab see if we can try to get something made for you today. Again I’m telling them no no no I don’t want anymore service, but they kept just going in circles and making up stupid excuses, to the point I felt my intelligence was being insulted. So I’m like okay whatever. No call back. I call Thursday, they said the office manager is in with a patient… so they gave me their email. I emailed them and was like this is theft, period. You can not do this and if I am not refunded, I will be reporting this. The only response I received was we tried to call you yesterday to set up an appointment. Ok first off I told you no I don’t want your services any longer. Second off no you didn’t. I took a screen shot of my calls, no voicemails or missed calls. So, I responded with that. No response. So they have literally stolen my money at this point. Any business that is that desperate and that pathetic and especially a professional service, then there is something wrong there. I can attest that all these other bad reviews are right on point. The waiting, the selling. 1 time I went in, was there for four hours to get my impressions and I said oh my teeth are bad. He goes into freaking veneers. I’m not here for veneers. You can see in my mouth I have a tooth that has to be pulled, never pulled kept on trying to sell me veneers. And told me, and I quote, “you’re teeth aren’t yellow you are just too white so they look yellow, that’s why you need veneers”. Mind you the dentist is black. No other dentist has said such white or black. He then went into this oh you would be gorgeous with a beautiful smile. Yup. I’m not lying. Then goes into asking me all theseq’s about how long my husband and I have been together and if we have any kids and then on into how he’s going to the gym. I felt extremely uncomfortable and that was the last visit before I tried getting my refund. They also took enamel off 2 of my teeth and ruined them. Pic attached. I’m reporting them & may take other actions since I have 2 teeth they screwed up so bad. Find a diff dentist

They provided me with a complete health services for the entire body just not your dental care. They have a real artist with Mr.Geno and his assistant Jahmari. Dr. Collins was very exceptional and knowledgeable about his profession. I rec'd the entire experience in this office. The waiting room was exceptional.

Fantastic experience: What a great experience. It was very traumatic falling and breaking my dentures, and the staff was so nice and professional. I reside in Liberty Texas but drive to him because he is the best by far. I have walked in on 2 to 3 different occasions for work without a phone call to let them know I was coming and because of the latest dental technology, what should have taken 2 to 3 days was taken care of in 1 day. Dr. Collins at Manvel Dental and Implant Center totally changed my outlook on my dental care with an added comfort that makes me excited to actually sit in the dental chair. Dr. Collins incorporates your overall health when caring for your teeth. He takes the time to ensure you understand dental health and encourages sustainable ways to continue overall good health. Negative experience: This was the absolute worse dental experience I've ever had. The dentist, Dr. Collins, was brusque and seemed more interested in hurrying through the appointment than addressing my concerns. The treatment plan and what I actually got were two different things. To top it off, the billing process was a nightmare. I was overcharged for services I didn't receive and had to spend an excessive amount of time disputing the charges. They waited until I was in the chair ready for extractions to ask for $2500 more dollars to start the procedure. Overall, my experience at Manvel Dental was extremely disappointing. I left feeling frustrated, dissatisfied, and completely disillusioned with the level of care provided. I will not be returning, and I strongly advise others to seek dental care elsewhere. I went to another dentist and got a better treatment at a lower price and it was so much better and more professional.

Fantastic experience: The kindness and courtesy shown to us was beyond measure. My Mom is nonverbal as well as nonmobile which took a lot of time and effort from the entire staff. My Mom left with her teeth cleaned and I left with a smile on my face. Thanks to the entire staff for treating us so special.
