Fantastic experience: I really liked it here, very clean, organized not chaotic at all, the complete opposite of where we used to go. Everyone was so kind, I keep forgetting her name ( it starts with a T lol) but the dental hygienist was so nice and knowledgeable.

Fantastic experience: We love RPD! The doctors and staff are wonderful with both parents and kids. Our son had to get a tooth pulled when he was 2, and Dr. Markovich was amazing with him. Our daughter recently had to get her lip tie corrected, and Dr. Hermann took excellent care of her. We have full confidence in all the doctors and hygienists on staff!

Fantastic experience: We had such a wonderful experience at our daughter’s dental cleaning! She was extremely nervous going in, but Cheryl, the dental hygienist, was incredibly patient, kind, and understanding. She took the time to explain every step of the cleaning and made our daughter feel comfortable and safe throughout the entire visit. A week later, our daughter is still talking about “Doctor Cheryl” and how much she loved her! We are so grateful for the care and compassion Cheryl showed and highly recommend this office for children.

Positive experience: I had a positive experience overall. Dr. Macrovich was very attentive and even reached out after hours during a weekend/holiday situation to help get my son seen, which I truly appreciated. The clinical staff and doctor were excellent, professional, kind, and the office was clean and nicely decorated. The main issue was timing and cost. The treatment plan required a third-party anesthesiologist, which I was told June 22 was the next available appt, although my son needed urgent dental care. The starting estimate for the anesthesiologist was $3,200 something I simply couldn’t afford. I ended up going elsewhere and got similar treatment done for a fraction of the cost, including sedation, extractions, fillings, and X-rays. Front desk staff felt a bit less welcoming compared to the rest of the team, but overall the medical care itself was outstanding.

Fantastic experience: They were awesome with my 2 year old! They made him and I both feel comfortable, for his first dentist visit. I highly recommend them and will continue to being my son here.

Fantastic experience: I saw one user report that people on post are steering away from this office. In my experience this is the preferred clinic for everyone I know stationed here. It was actually recommended to me by several other military families which is how we started going here. We have been stationed here for 3 and a half years and sadly will be leaving next month. All four of my children have had an amazing experience here at RPDO. My son even did his braces treatment here when he was in highschool. He had previously started it at our last assignment and we had to move. They made sure he was out of braces in time to enlist in the military when he graduated highschool. His teeth look fabulous. My autistic 5 year old literally tried to get out of her chair and was non compliant last visit out of fear during her cleaning. Everyone remained calm and respectful. My 5 year old has an appointment today in addition to my 18 year old. I have full trust in this clinic. As stated earlier we move soon but if I need anything dental wise before June I will stick with this clinic as we have done since getting to New York.

Fantastic experience: My son had never been to the dentist before and he found his way there after a slip in the tub led to mouth injury/chipped tooth. The environment was kid friendly and accessible. The staff were so welcoming and gentle with my son. And Dr. Herman put him at ease and was very informative. Very happy with our choice in our pediatric dentist.

Fantastic experience: Dr Paul is amazing! As someone who truly fears going to the dentist I wouldn’t go to anyone else. Besides being very smart and professional he is extremely kind and patient. The front desk staff is welcoming and helpful and the dental techs are very professional making an experience that could be scary for me as pleasant as it can possibly be.

Negative experience: Did not like the way Dr. Chaly was rushing the process, and worrying about the next appointment that she had that day instead focusing on the patient she currently had. Also, she was being a bit stern instead of calming down the situation before giving the patient a needle.

Negative experience: We recently moved to NY and scheduled a routine 6-month checkup for our two toddlers. Prior to this, both kids had consistently healthy dental reports with little, to no watch areas or issues/concerns. At this office, we were shocked to hear that both children supposedly had a large number of cavities. Thankfully, we decided to get a second opinion before proceeding. The second dentist confirmed that the actual number of cavities was significantly less than what this office claimed. This experience left us feeling deeply concerned about the accuracy and integrity of their diagnostic process. What’s even more alarming: in our neighborhood alone on a nearby Military Installation, 5–6 other military families have had similar experiences with this same office - some of which consisting of more intense dental work (i.e. root canals). I would not be surprised if this practice starts receiving more reviews like this one and ultimately loses military clients. Something seems to be off here - this office is cavity happy. Recommend parents always get a second opinion before agreeing to any major dental work, especially if the diagnosis seems extreme compared to your child’s previous dental history. (This review does not pertain to the orthodontics)

Fantastic experience: The visit went very well. The dental hygienist was amazing. She had a really nice way of serving and attending to my daughter. I greatly appreciated it. I asked a few questions and she had se really great suggestions about different items that I could use. The general stff were very pleasant as well. Fantastic experience: Looking for a an office that will take good care of you? Well RPDO is the place. I’ve been treated by the adult dentist Dr. Paul and he did a great job on tooth that needed a filing. I’m not a fan of needles in my mouth but his injection was seamless I felt nothing so I was impressed. Right now I’m under the care of the orthodontist Dr. Emelie and she is amazing as well as her ortho staff. While I don’t have any small children to see the pediatric dentists I heard that they were all great dentist. I highly recommend RPDO for your dental needs.

Fantastic experience: Staff is incredibly friendly, great with kids. Cindy is the best and helps make the appointments for my littles so stress free. But of a drive for us but 100% worth it just for this. Dr. Paul is also great as the adult dentist, I have anxiety around going to the dentist but it has been minimal here- here is quick and straightforward but with incredible “bedside manner”, very easy to talk to. I’ve had to reschedule appts before and have done so over text and the phone, it’s always easy. Appts are always timely. Highly recommend.

Fantastic experience: Rockland pediatric Dental and Orthodontics is a place you feel comfortable the minute you enter the lobby. It starts with the comfortable chairs in the waiting room area and it continues along the way with the actual dental procedure inside. As a mother, I love the fact that we never wait too long to be called in for the hygienist or to Dr. Herman’s treatment room or to the orthodontist’s room. It’s all done with no aggravation for us or unpleasant feeling visiting a dentist office. Fantastic experience: My daughter has a lot of anxiety about going to the dentist, which of course gives Mom a lot of anxiety too. About three visits ago she had an encounter with an AMAZING hygienist, Julie, and since then her anxiety is not nearly as bad… She actually looks forward to seeing her (the teeth cleaning still not so much ). Julie has been a complete game changer for our family and we can’t thank her enough. RODO knocked it put of the park when they brought her on board, don’t let her go !!!

Fantastic experience: I love RPDO, I’ve been coming here over two decades, since I had teeth. Very friendly and personal. Cindy’s the most gentle, caring hygienist I’ve had, and Dr. Hermann has been my go-to dentist forever for her knowledge, expertise, and sense of humor.

Negative experience: Usually had a good experience until this last week. My daughter needed x-rays and I was told by the assistant Terri that she couldn’t take x-rays anymore bc she has something called nodules so I needed to take my daughters x-ray. I held whatever needed to be held in my daughters mouth which of course needed to be taken a couple times bc I have no training and don’t know what I’m doing. I guess one of them was ok and I was told the results of my daughter’s x-ray. I found it a little odd that I was the one taking the x-ray but I figuered this is what is done in pediatric dentistry? I decided to take my daughter to a different practice for a second opinion and was told that the x-ray that I had taken wasn’t very good and that they were unable to see what they needed to see. No surprise there that I didn’t take a good x-ray. When I called to speak to Dr. Chaly about my concerns about having a parent take the x-ray she screamed and yelled at me when I had been speaking calmly the whole time. She said “you didn’t have a problem taking the x-ray then so what is your problem now?” Wow. She said if I had been uncomfortable I should have spoken up. Wow. Through her anger and hysteria she yelled at me saying parents help all the time and I have no right to be complaining now, yada, yada. I’ve really never had a doctor get on the phone and yell at me like that, especially since I was not yelling and screaming myself. Of course now, I am quite angry so I am posting this experience. I’m not sure if I will return, this was the first time I saw or had an experience with Dr. Chaly my other experiences there were good. If I do go back I will probably not book with Dr. Chaly as I do not appreciate being yelled at by my daughter’s dentist when I am trying to tell her my concerns.

Fantastic experience: I took my son 4YO to the dentist today and had such a great experience! I initially left him in the car because he has a fear of Dr's. Last week we took him to a different dentist and he became so upset he vomited. When the hygienist called him in I explained he would need sedation because of his anxiety. She went and got the dentist for me. Dr. Hermann quickly came to talk to me. We discussed my son's medical history as well as any sensory concerns. She is very knowledgeable about ASD. She explained the desensitization program in which I can bring him weekly to become more comfortable with the office. She also discussed ways to decrease sensory in the office so he's not overwhelmed. They even blew up a balloon for him! She quickly checked out his teeth and we agreed too let him get used to the office first before doing a cleaning as he didn't have any acute issues. I'm am very grateful to have found a medical professional who is patient and knowledgeable about ASD. I didn't at all feel rushed and highly recommend this practice and Dr. Hermann . The office is also amazing equipped with a small playroom, and TVs in the procedure rooms.

Fantastic experience: I can’t say enough good things about this clinic! My family has been coming here since Fall 2022 and we wont go anywhere else for dental. The front desk staff are welcoming & friendly. The Dental Hygienist and dental assistants are excellent! The dentists are thorough and really explain whats going on and give an honest opinion for future treatment. There is absolutely nothing I would change about this clinic.

Fantastic experience: Superb service My 7 year old had major anxiety going to dentists and over the last couple of years we were told by 6 (pediatric) dentists not to come back after an initial exam. I was referred to Rockland Pediatric Dental and Orthodontics because they work with an anesthesiologist and it seemed like that was the only way to go. My insurance was difficult to work with but the office staff was extremely helpfull in providing me with medical codes, letter of necessity and anything else I would need for insurance. After insurance wouldnt cover the anesthesiologist we tried to do it without and Dr Hermann and her team were able to calm him and do some major work after no one else was able to get near his mouth. They did a great job every step of the way. Dr Hermann also called the night after each procedure to check up. After 2 years, a build up of dental issues and not knowing where to turn rockland pediatrics with their patience care and professionalism was able to do what no other dental practice could THANK YOU

Negative experience: It’s unconscionable that they don’t recommend ALL kids get sealant - It’s covered by ALL insurance!! and it prevents cavities, AND the ADA recommends it!!! They intentionally don’t mention it so kids GET cavities and they can bill Insurance for extractions and fillings. Think about it - Most kids’ visits are routine and covered by insurance (ie pediatric dentists don’t make a lot of $$ on routine visits) but they DO make more when kids get cavities and extractions and fillings are necessary. Google sealant - it’s very rare to get cavities on teeth with sealant! This practice WANTS your kid to have cavities so they make more $!

Fantastic experience: This office is our go to all our families dental needs. From Pediatrics to Adults, we are very happy with the care provided here. When my daughter was younger, we had been to a few different dental offices without much success in the treatment of her cavities. She just wouldn't open her mouth. She met Dr. Chaly and by the 2nd visit, all her cavities were treated. Dr. Paul is excellent and only does treatment that is necessary. My prior dentist wanted to perform a whole bunch of treatments costing a bunch in out of pocket costs. Dr. Paul did what was necessary and I haven't had any problems since. Would highly recommend this practice!
