Fantastic experience: I cannot say enough good things about Lodi Family Dentistry! I’m very picky about my dental care and had been putting it off for a while, until I found this office. Everyone is incredibly friendly, and I genuinely appreciate the text and call reminders (I need them, lol). They also have an “ASAP” list, so if there’s a cancellation they’ll call to get you in sooner. A lot of offices offer this but never actually call back. Here, they do, and even if you turn down the first option, they don’t drop you from the list. That kind of follow-through means a lot. The clinic itself is clean and organized. The building is a little older, but you can tell they’ve put care into it. It feels warm and inviting. The doctor is a bit quieter than the staff (not a bad thing, haha), but he’s very thorough and explains everything. What I appreciated most is that he doesn’t try to charge you for work you don’t need. I’ve walked out of other offices with a $19,000 patient estimate, and I have two insurances. One more thing that stood out: my brother is a dentist in my home country and handles any major treatment I need, so I always ask for copies of my images to keep in my “lifetime” file at his office. At other practices, this has been met with reluctance, like I’m questioning their work (I’m not, I just want all my records in one place). Lodi Family Dentistry was completely understanding and happy to share. Bottom line: friendly, honest, and they actually treat you like a person. If you need a dentist, this is the one. Highly, highly recommend!

Fantastic experience: Our whole family has been very pleased with Lodi Family Dentistry. Recently my 2-year-old daughter face planted off of one of our dining room chairs. I called around 7pm and received a text message soon after asking me to provide details. The next morning they confirmed they were able to fit her in with me during my regular scheduled cleaning the next day. The office visit with her went very smoothly. Negative experience: If you're having an actual emergency dont waste your time. They got me in for a same day consultation, and I repeated multiple times I was in a lot of pain and was only there to get the tooth pulled if possible. They refused to pull the tooth and tried to schedule me a month out for a root canal which they wanted over 3k for. I left in pain and disappointed

I think their dedication to having state of the art technology has elevated the practice and made my dental experience a more positive one. Fantastic experience: literally the best dentist ive ever used, my whole life ive had problem with dentists my whole life!! i had some fillings that needed to be done and i was in and out quick and completely painless. explained everything they were doing while working on my teeth. 1000/10 best dentist ive ever used will deff come back another thing is that the x rays were so easy i have a really bad gag reflex and i barely gagged while they were doing the x rays and they were super patient with me

Fantastic experience: I brought my daughter and son here for their first dental appointments and everything from the receptionist staff to the exam and cleaning was very thorough, thoughtful and well done. They made the experience so much fun for my toddler and she asks frequently to go back to the dentist LOL! As for my appointment, Dr. B was very gentle and explained everything extremely well, showed me X-rays and pictures and made sure I was comfortable and understood everything. You can tell he is very intentional and takes the time to listen and explain. He also did my fillings with this laser so he didn’t even have to give me a shot. (which is my least favorite part) it was a pretty cool thing. Dr also does is snore treatment, which my husband will be getting (whew!). It’s supposed to be a quick treatment with no down time and really helps improve snoring. I’m very excited for this and will update after treatment.

Negative experience: The office staff are really nice, but...He said I needed to get a filling replaced right then, but didn't want to do the regular cleaning. Which was weird. I got a second opinion, and the new dentist said the filling was okay, but he showed me that I had a cavity on another tooth. What kind of dentist can't see a cavity? And btw this is not my real name.

I have been a patient of Dr Balseca for about 4 years now and have always received great care from Dr Balseca and the entire team. The front office always greets you with a smile along with the assistants and hygienists. Dr Balseca has performed various types of procedures on me based on my medical needs such as correcting for teeth sensitivity, cavities as well as performing dental implants. I appreciate Dr Balseca explaining the steps needed before the care as well as during the care. This puts me at ease to know what is being done and if the process is going smoothly. It is obvious that the team works well with each other based on the interaction that I have observed. Fantastic experience: I initially came across this office as I had accompanied my mom to her dental appointment here. As soon as you walk in, the staff are extremely welcoming, attentive to their patients as well as ensuring the patients dental information is up to date. The office itself is beautiful! In addition, the equipment is updated. We've now moved to Stockton and I felt comfortable enough to bring my daughter 8, and 3 here. My daughters appointment was just yesterday and if I'd been impressed by the treatment they gave my mother 6 mos ago; they went above and beyond for our appointments as well. I used to find any excuse to cancel or avoid appointments altogether, but I’ve been fortunate enough to find a dental office with the most compassionate and understanding dental hygienist. From the very beginning, I shared my fears—especially how the sounds and scraping during cleanings add to my anxiety—and she took the time to listen and talk me through each step of the process. Her gentle and patient approach truly helped me feel more at ease. The entire team has also been amazing. When calling to schedule appointments, I’ve mentioned my anxiety and they’ve offered helpful recommendations to ease my nerves before coming in. They’ve even explained what they could do during the visit to help me feel more comfortable. For anyone who struggles with dental anxiety like I do, this office is a safe and supportive place. Fantastic experience: This place is amazing. I broke a tooth and they got me in the very next day to asses the damage. I also feel like they are extremely honest because my mind went straight to root canal but they assured me I definitely needed a crown but the root canal wasn’t necessary. I get anxious from past experiences with a different office and they were so kind and walked me through everything the entire procedure. Which really helped put my mind at ease and I didn’t once have that anxious feeling. From the front desk, to the assistants, to the Dr himself I couldn’t have been more comfortable and relaxed.
