Fantastic experience: Smile Brite is the 4th dentist's office I've received services from since moving to Newark, DE a decade ago and there's no need for me to look any further. They're the best by a great margin.......I mean, it's not even close!

Negative experience: I requested my X‑ray report from this office, and they still have not provided it. I emailed them multiple times and received no reply. Patients have the legal right under HIPAA to access their own medical records, including X‑rays, but this office has not honored that right. Very disappointed with the lack of communication and cooperation.

Fantastic experience: Office is very nice.When you are in the chair getting your cleaning done, the room is so nicely decorated, positive messages, tv is on, great music is playing. Every part of your office visit is explained to you. Everyone employee I met was very friendly. Would recommend to everyone.

Fantastic experience: I have had a ridiculous amount of dental work and have had many different dentists in my lifetime so far and this entire office is simply amazing! They are all very professional and efficient. I could not recommend Dr. Bishop and everyone who works here enough. I will never go anywhere else God willing.

Negative experience: The office moves appointments to different times throughout the day without notification.

Negative experience: I realize that this will turn off the practice staff, but, they need to fire the young lady who is their “blonde” Receptionist. When I first called to schedule, she had an attitude. It was not that she used rude language, but she spoke over me, and refused to listen to me correct her error. In other words, she knows everything. Stupidly, I kept the appointment, but made an error in time when it was rescheduled. I arrived today at 8AM, when the two Receptionists said my appointment was at 2PM—and then IMMEDIATELY JUMPED down my throat for asking for a clarification. The rude phone Receptionist actually placed her current call on-hold to TELL ME this: Yes, we called twice to confirm your appointment for 2PM today, and you spoke with our Office Manager. Now, unbeknownst to them, I have T1D and memory issues. I was not given A MOMENT to recall speaking with their “Office Manager,” because, if I had, I would have suggested she fire this “friend’s daughter” working there and hire A REAL Receptionist, preferably one with PROFESSIONALISM and kindness. In the end, while my appointment mix up was my error, it was the “Blonde” Receptionist’s attempt to LIE and invent a confirmation of the appointment change to shift the blame onto me that resulted in me cancelling my appointment today at TWO PM, not 8AM. Whomever this young lady is, she needs an attitude adjustment—but, I’m sure she’s heard this before from others with wisdom. I booked with Aspen Dental, same day, and will be taking my BEAUTIFUL smile there. I suggest you to do the same. There is a reason why we do not hire our friends as employees. I hope that this will help to improve the presumptuous, rude staff working there. Thanks for reading!

Fantastic experience: This was my first visit to Smile Brite Dental Care office, and I had a truly excellent experience. From the moment I walked in, the entire team made me feel welcomed and comfortable, it genuinely felt like I was around family, which really helped ease my nerves. A special thank you to my dental hygienist, Deejay, who was absolutely wonderful. She explained everything from beginning to end with so much patience and care, making sure I fully understood each step. Her calm and friendly approach made the entire visit feel easy and reassuring. Dr. Allen was also fantastic, professional, attentive, and kind. The office is clean, peaceful, and very well-organized. For a first dental visit, I couldn’t have asked for a better experience. I’m genuinely looking forward to coming back and would highly recommend Dr. Allen, DeeJay, and the entire team to anyone looking for thoughtful, top-notch dental care.

Fantastic experience: Today, I was a first-time customer. Everyone was professional and polite. I had Kendra Jones (Registered Dental Hygienist). She was excellent. She explained everything to me before she got started and took her time cleaning my teeth. She also advised what I should be doing when brushing my teeth. I already made my next appointment for January with her.

Fantastic experience: Dr Allen did an amazing job on my teeth. I literally cried when she finished my fill-in’s. I was walking around for several years afraid to smile, but now I’m so happy. There’s still more work to do, but this lady does awesome work! On top of that the staff is amazing as well!

Fantastic experience: We have been going to Smile Brite since 2019 and are very pleased with the friendly and welcoming service they provide. Dr Bishop and the technicians are thorough and do care about your teeth sharing their knowledge on how to care for your teeth. I thank them for their service as I do love my teeth.

Negative experience: I left this practice after my first visit due to the poor job they did. I found another local dentistry to fix their work and have been going elsewhere since. Now, in 2025 they sent me a bill for my visit in 2023. I’m glad I left when I did, this place doesn’t seem to have it all together.

Fantastic experience: Dr Bishop is patient and knowledgeable. I have been going to him for about 18 years. He has treated me for emergent situation after office hours. I went on vacation and came home with pain in my lip and the lower lip severely swollen he laser my lip and gave me a scrip for antibiotic. I was able to go to work the next day and not be concious of my over size lip. He made a mouth gaurd for me that was pinching me and Dr Bishop did not stop until I told him it was ok. He did it smiling and was very calm. His staff is also very pleasant and patient. I don't have a bad word for him and his office staff. I strongly recommend this practice.

Fantastic experience: Excellent patient experience. As a new patient, was extremely impressed by the care, compassion and convenience of this practice and their team. I was able to get an appointment for me and my husband that accommodated our demanding schedules, I felt welcomed from the first call. I received a pleasant welcome on my visit day and everyone had a positive attitude. Team was knowledgeable and considerate. Dr. Allen was just as compassionate, considerate and engaging as her team. The office environment was well appointed and lulls you into a comfortable state. This is the best dental practice experience in my lifetime thus far. Ample free parking and excellent accessibility. Fantastic experience: My twins (5) and myself in and out in under 2 hours. We went back recently for a chipped tooth. They fixed it so fast and we didn’t have an appointment.

Positive experience: Great staff but the young lady in charge of teeth whitening has nails that look like Captain Hook and it's not sanitary, or appropriate to put them in someone mouth regardless of gloves or not dr. Bishop is wonderful and I love his whole staff but someone should tell her about those nails in any case. I will be going back but looking for somewhere else to whiten my teeth

Fantastic experience: Walked in hoping to schedule a new patient appointment & ended up scheduling an appointment for that day (especially glad because I had just cracked my tooth). Dr & staff were especially professional & gentle.

Negative experience: I would give no star if I could. Do not go to this office. Went for deep clean and I notice that one of my front tooth was loose and I felt that ther was an abscess infant of it called the office to get it look at and the person that answer the phone seems like she don't care I address my concern but would not listen. Her answer was like owell that's your problem. That what I felt like. Just lost a patient

Fantastic experience: I cant stress enough how thankful I am for doctor Bishop and his staff. I sat in my car and cried happy tears because he fixed all my cracked front teeth. They look stronger and even and so beautiful. I’m slowly getting my smile back and confidence. He will be doing my implant and bridges next. Pretty soon I will no longer cover my smile when I laugh. Thank so much Dr. Bishop and your beautiful staff for always being so kind to me. You’re truly all God sent. Fantastic experience: My son and I have been coming here for maybe 1-2yrs now and I’m glad I made that choice. As someone who neglected going to the dentist for years out of extreme fear and anxiety coming to Smile Brite puts that to rest a bit. I don’t think I’ll ever get over having needles in my mouth but the office staff and Dr Bishop and Dr Golshiri just put you at ease. They do an excellent job at explaining things and really going and your own pace to have things done. Everyone they recommended my son out to (oral surgeon, orthodontist) have been just as nice as the Smile Brite staff.

Negative experience: Awful customer service! The building is old and not well maintained. I arrived at my appointment within the grace period only to find that the elevator was out of order. Since I'm in a wheelchair, I had no way to reach their 2nd floor suite. There was no effort made to call maintenance or assist me in any way...and we were told we had to reschedule our appointment. To make matters worse, they had no appointments available until Oct (3 months later!) They don't have to worry about me ever coming back. Good riddance!

Negative experience: I am giving this rating SOLEY based on the customer service I just received on the telephone which was awful. Whomever answered the phone spoke so fast I could barely understand what she was saying. I explained to her that I made a request online for my son to have an appointment today but never received the follow up phone call to confirm the appointment, and I wanted to see if he was in the system. She again quickly stated"I don't see his name that online feature is only a request not a confirmation of an actual appointment" Then phone goes quite. She literally repeated what I just said to her and then she did not offer any assistance on how to schedule a appointment for any day. If this is how the front desk is then no thank you.

Fantastic experience: Staff is always courteous and professional. Always prompt and on time. Have never had to wait more than 10 minutes to be seen. Office is so clean you could eat off the floor. Dr. Bishop has always done exceptional work for me and has always been very kind and professional. Have been going there for years and have always had a good experience no matter what type of work I have needed. A+

Negative experience: The dental hygienist was the best thing in the practice. Very disappointed with their billing system. I was urged to pay a copay which was a huge overpayment. Well at least for my modest income. After bringing the overpayment to their attention upon receipt of my EOB's they made me wait an extremely long time to get reimbursed at a much smaller percentage of that expected. I believe they hide fees under "fluoride treatments". I did try to urge them as they did me by sharing the Bishop's pockets were deeper than mine - however bottom-line I felt cheated for the time it took them to refund my money and the initial overpayment from the door. I'm good - WON'T BE BACK THERE! Trying support your own doesn't always benefit you as much as THEM!

Negative experience: Worst experience ever with a dental practice! I recently took my 85 yr old grandmother who is partially paralyzed and in a wheelchair to her appointment but ran into traffic. They indicated she had 2 cavities at her last appointment but could not schedule her for fillings until 2 months later. So needless there was a sense of urgency. When we arrived we were told she was 3 minutes past the grace period so they couldn’t do the fillings. I was livid at their lack of compassion and the fact they didn’t even consider how challenging it was to get her there given her condition. I would never recommend this place to anyone. Good luck!

Negative experience: Some of the worst customer service I have ever had. Beware of the office “manager”. I was slightly late to my appointment which I called ahead of time to warn them about. The phone number listed on google does not work for some reason. I drove 30 minutes to get there and instead of adjusting my appointment to have some work done rather than none the office “manager” told me I should have left a message and then told me I could not be seen. I pleaded with them to be seen and they refused. There were hundreds of different options they could have taken instead they chose to refuse me service. A few days later I received a notice in the mail for a 50$ fee they charged me for the appointment, that I went to but was not seen at. I changed dentists and asked to have my X-rays (that I have already paid for) sent over to the new dentist. The office “manager” claimed there was a fee for the x-rays of $26.00. The kicker is, that x-rays only ever cost $26.00 and if it is your only x-rays in three years they are included in your visit (WHICH I ALREADY PAID FOR) and they were trying double charging me. I called and asked to speak to ANYONE other than the office “manager” and they declined. Good luck.

Fantastic experience: My son and I had our 1st visit to Smile Brite Dental Care as a new patients on May 25. I was very impressed with the staffing team. They took excellent care of my son and myself. I will be moving my other 3 children there as well.

Fantastic experience: I was anxious due to bleeding gums. The hygienist was gentle with cleaning my gums and that helped my anxiety. Then Dr. Bishop checked my gums and everything was okay!!!
