Fantastic experience: As someone with significant dental anxiety resulting from a past traumatic experience, I am deeply grateful for the compassionate care during my tooth extraction. The office accommodated my need to receive acupuncture for anxiety during the procedure, which helped me make the experience more manageable. When I became overwhelmed, Dr. Orest immediately stopped, sat me upright, and gave me time to regain my composure; he also brought in my regular dentist Dr. Horiyat for additional reassurance. Dr. Orest worked quickly and precisely, completing the entire holistic extraction procedure within a half an hour, and his assistant was wonderful as well. I'm very grateful to have found a dental office that supports my individual needs with compassion while remaining calm, skilled, and professional.

March 12, 2026 This review; for my wife Joan; outlines her almost one year successful dental restoration; procedures; treatment; project at Aria Dental. The brilliant work was performed by Dr Maryam Horiyat, DDS and her dental staff. I wish to additionally thank the office staff for their concern, friendliness and helpfulness. If you peruse my initial review for my wife’s mouth; it was a functional and aesthetic mess. A traumatic accident years before to her mouth and an attempt to fix issues over several decades by less than competent dentist and oral surgeons had left her with a smile she was less than thrilled with and a mouth full of teeth that did not chew well. Dr Horiyat presented a dental plan to resolve all my previously mentioned issues and successfully set out to both restore my mouth with advanced dental restoration techniques and at the same create a wonderful feminine smile for my wife Joan. Amongst the work performed beautifully was repairing a cracked tooth; replaced 5 crowns; and replaced/fitted a new porcelain bridge. The work was performed to the highest dental standards without pain. My wife can chew food; her smile is pretty; the teeth color is attractive and all the dental work feels good. The metallic mouth taste is gone; dental headaches are gone and my smile is back. Thank you Dr Horiyat. — I first saw Dr. Maryam Horiyat 5-20-2025 for my extraction, bridge and or implant consultation plan. The doctor is highly professional; current in best dental practice’s and very carrying and respectful. My new dental goal is to correct the expensive work another dental team/office did and failed at resulting in a bacterial root canal infection; a 24/7 metallic mouth taste; dry mouth; loss of sleep; headaches; an inflamed lower implant plus an ill fitting upper full bridge with a poor bite. I left our consultation with the belief that Dr. Horiyat and her team are the right people to remedy my dental issues successfully.

They do not nickel and dime you and because I was at another holistic dental practice initially… I promise that’s a thing you want to avoid. At Aria they are kind, and take the time to educate and are reasonably priced considering the amazing cutting edge holistic dental care you receive. They are a five star practice for sure!!!

Fantastic experience: I travel quite a distance to come to this office and it's worth EVERY mile. My dental hygienist, Jonathan,(hope I spelled it right, lol), is a pro at what he does. I honestly feel so relaxed in his chair that I tend to drift off to sleep. Everyone there is so welcoming, respectful, and professional. It makes what use to be a stressful necessity for me, so much more relaxing. I can't recommend it enough. 5/29/26 Just a follow-up to my previous post. I sincerely CAN NOT rave enough about this dental office as a whole. From the genuinely warm, friendly greeting that you get from Steven and Shima at the front desk, to comfortable and relaxed feeling that I personally got from Anna and Radian during my cleaning and follow-up procedure. Which I'm sure reflects the rest of the staff as well. Not to mention the glue that holds it all together, Dr. Maryam Horiyat. When I tell you this woman knows her craft.......she KNOWS HER CRAFT. She was patient and attentive to my needs when it came to my initial discomfort that made the procedure to correct a filling which was done at a different dental office, an extremely pleasant process. So much so that I almost drifted off to sleep. No exaggeration. From the state of the art equipment and execution, to the stellar professionalism, I absolutely understand why Aria Dental has clientele/patients that come from all over California and other states as well. Fantastic experience: Dr. Horiyat and her team and truly amazing! Treating our entire family (adults to kids), they continue to provide knowledge into true ROOT CAUSES! Dr Horiyat has personally come alongside our 9 year old and instead of jumping straight to an expander, she did a sleep study discovering our oldest has sleep apnea and went over the steps to heal this; which is what we all want- true healing. As a holistic dentistry, it's not a turn and burn office (and for those unsure - it's a different approach then a typical cleaning so understand the environment in which you seek service at). For insurance, yes, you pay upfront however they are immensely helpful in sending in all the documentation to our insurance on our behalf unlike many other holistic offices I've personally experienced. For us, Aria Dental has been a long sought after answered prayer and we not only are blessed by them, but sincerely recommend.

Negative experience: If you choose this office, go in expecting that estimates may increase significantly, that costly add-ons such as ozone therapy and exosomes may be included, and that your out-of-pocket costs may be far higher than what you are initially led to expect. I initially received treatment here for two elective extractions—one upper molar and one lower molar—both of which had prior root canals with mild, localized inflammation at the root apex. These were not emergency procedures or full-blown infections. I chose this office specifically for its proactive, holistic approach. After the extraction of the upper molar, I experienced a serious complication. Despite an ozone wash and bone grafting, I developed a severe sinus infection that lasted nearly a month and required antibiotics. When I contacted the office for guidance, I was told it was unrelated and advised to see my primary care physician. I was not asked to return for evaluation to determine whether this was a surgical complication requiring follow-up. During healing, a Maryland bridge was placed to maintain spacing at a cost of $1,200 out of pocket. Unfortunately, it was several shades different from my natural teeth and very noticeable when I spoke and smiled. Around this time, I was also given an Invisalign quote from this office that was more than double what I received from two other practices. At that point, I felt consistently upsold, the pricing lacked transparency, and the quality of work did not meet expectations. Because of these experiences, I lost trust and paused treatment. I later returned only to avoid the hassle of switching offices and because I believed I understood what to expect. I was told I would need a sinus bump, received a quote, placed a deposit, and scheduled surgery accordingly. After my deposit was placed, the treatment plan changed. I was then told I required a full sinus lift instead of a sinus bump, at a cost approximately $3,000 higher than previously discussed. When I asked reasonable questions about why the plan changed—especially given that the sinus infection and collapse followed an extraction performed at this office—I felt dismissed, was told the increase was due to material costs, and was blamed for returning months later rather than given a clear explanation. At no point was there acknowledgment that the initial extraction may have contributed to the complication, nor any discussion of shared responsibility or goodwill adjustment. I was not expecting a free procedure, but I did expect accountability, transparency, and some recognition of a poor outcome following care provided here. Insurance coverage also ended up being significantly less than what I was initially told to expect, further increasing my out-of-pocket costs. I understand that complications can happen. What I did not expect was to feel continuously upsold, to have treatment plans and pricing change after deposits were placed, and to ultimately be held fully financially responsible for outcomes that followed care provided at this office. I requested my deposit back and chose to seek care elsewhere.

Negative experience: SCAM ALERT You just need to walk in this place for them to charge you $400. I went in for a service that is fully covered by my insurance (just cleaning) ended up paying $800 for X-rays cleaning and a consult! THEY WILL ROB YOU BIG TIME. AVOID THIS PLACE.

Fantastic experience: Dr Miriam and her entire staff are compassionate and accommodating. The cost can be quite high, yet I believe with all the extra care and information they gladly share, this practice is worth it.

Negative experience: Although this clinic offers advanced treatments and Dr. Miriam is definitely a very skilled holistic dentist, I decided not to receive treatment here because it felt like a business thirsty for money more than anything else. $400 for initial visit only to feel rushed and barely having a proper time with Dr Miriam. I’m sure the level of holistic care is high but the overall energy didn’t feel right.

Through her knowledge and holistic approach, Dr. Horiyat was able to find the root cause of my dental issues. She worked with my schedule, made sure everything was completed with care and attention to detail before I left for college. I highly recommend Aria Dental.

Negative experience: If you are seeking an alternative approach to dental care, then Aria Dental offers it. In fact, I believe they are the only one in the area that does. The support personnel are quite kind as well. All the procedures are quite pricey due to the way they position the services (and most insurance doesn't cover it). After experiencing Aria Dental for a couple of years, I can confidently say that they use the holistic approach purely as a marketing niche, which allows them to charge higher prices and to "stand out" in a rather crowded market. It is worth noting that the dentist does not perform a number of the procedures. For example, when my wife received an implant (a multistep process), they shipped in another doctor who was certified for the extraction, as well as the nurse anesthetist. Then, when the implant was placed, one of the assistants performed that process instead of Dr. Horiyat. That was surprising. The entire thing was essentially outsourced. As mentioned by some others, you'll get a feeling that they are in a hurry for their appointments. Perhaps overbooked, or to maximize revenue. Either way, you'll be ushered in and out so that they maintain their tight schedule. On a personal note, in 2023 I was told by another provider, SoCal Perio Implants, that I needed gum flap surgery. My wife was going to Aria Dental, so I figured I'd ask for a second opinion. Dr. Horiyat was adamant that gum flap surgery was not needed, and that I'd be fine with LANAP Laser Gum Therapy. I opted for the LANAP procedure, but it didn't work. My issue came back after two weeks. I went back to SoCal Perio Implants and saw Dr. Caplanis (a well known and respected Periodontist in California). Highly recommended by the way. I told him what I did, and he was annoyed with me, understandably. He said that he does LANAP procedures too, and if he thought it would have worked, then he would have recommended it (and that he would have actually preferred to do LANAP because it's an easier procedure for him, but for a similar payment... making it an easy payday, but he knew it wouldn't work). I laughed when he told me that. He's confident and direct, and it's warranted. Anyway, I did the gum flap procedure with him and all was resolved. Afterward, I was pretty upset at myself for wasting my money on the first procedure, but honestly, that one was on me. I should have trusted my gut and went with the expert. However, I was a little bit annoyed that my experience wasn't even acknowledged by Aria Dental. They had my money, so they were happy. So should you choose Aria Dental? If your priority is purely holistic dental care, and none of what I shared gives you pause, then maybe you'll be more inclined to overlook how things work there.

Fantastic experience: I recently had an exceptional experience at Aria Dental when I went for a cleaning and revision of my Invisalign trays. I was very impressed with the professionalism, knowledge and clinical expertise of all the staff and especially with Dr Horiyat. She is a true perfectionist and did a great job in repairing my bad bite with Invisalign. I highly recommend Aria Dental to anyone looking for state-of-the-art dental care.

Fantastic experience: Jon has been taking care of me in last few times and I am very happy they found him. In last few times, I had to ask him not to use the machine to clean because my teeth are very sensitive. Today he used the machine the first time with me, and I barely felt discomfort. I strongly hope they keep him for a long time.

Fantastic experience: Ive had severe TMJ problems for 21 yrs. Multiple splints and bite adjsutments , multiple dentists with no help. I saw Dr Horiyat for bite adjsutment and it helped reduce my pain significantly and got me comdortable. Also she just started me on small non intrusive night deprogrammer device that i have very high hopes for as i cannot wear traditional night guards they make it worse. If you have TMJ issues go see her you will not regret it. A step in the right direction and pain relief is life changing for TMJ disorder. I may repost my progress in 2-3 months after wearing the device and final bite adjsutment once muscles settle down.

Fantastic experience: Today I went to get my teeth cleaning and John the hygienist was phenomenal. He was gentle, professional and thorough. Then I saw Dr. Horiyat for my extraction and implant treatment plan. She is so professional, knowledgeable and sweet. Although my treat isn’t scheduled till 2 weeks. She gave me a complimentary ozone therapy injection to help with my tooth pain. Let me tell you, I had instant relief and confidence that I’m in good hands. Negative experience: Extremely unprofessional, im new to california and instead of asking my social to search my insurance info they did not seem to care, then upon arrival they give me the news oh btw your insurance does not have adult benefits and im like okkk maybe you should have told me ? then i contacted my agent and he gave me the correct info for my PPO and then he is like oh we are out of network with all PPO so pay 350$ for a cleaning lol and we will give you a receipt?? wow talk about deception! YOU need to be upfront about everything BEFORE the visit so people are aware and dont waste their day !

Negative experience: I was very disappointed with my experience at this office. I came in expecting a proper consultation with a holistic dentist, but it fell far short of my expectations. Before even meeting with the dentist, I was required to pay $350 upfront, which I found highly unusual compared to the many dental offices I’ve visited across the country. Dr. Horiyat spent less than 30 seconds examining my mouth and seemed to be rushing between rooms the entire time. There was no opportunity to ask questions, as the consultation felt rushed and impersonal. Instead, the staff quickly began recommending additional costly services like a CT scan and sleep study. For the price I paid, I expected at least 15 minutes of focused, uninterrupted attention. The treatment quote they provided was exorbitant—nearly double what I later paid at another office, where I had a far more pleasant and thorough experience. Unfortunately, this felt more like a business focused on upselling than a practice centered on patient care. I wouldn’t recommend this office to anyone.

Connie is a fantastic hygienist and has cleaned my teeth twice with lazer and ozone treatments. Tamana is a great assistant, always making sure I am comfortable and have what I need. Fantastic experience: This office is amazing! The structure and culture of office is top class and felt custom catered from beginning to end. My son is new patient to practice and want the best for my boy. The customer service from front office was very warm and caring. The assistants were very attentive and professional. What made this appointment a complete different experience for my family was a subject that has never been explained or overlook. Sleep Apnea!!! My son is 9 year old active boy. My beast!!! Recently I have notice major changes and have consulted with the best of the best about my son health. I was told this and that but just did not make sense and refused to drug my boy with meds. My consult with Dr Horiyat was for dental related services and had no idea Dr Horiyat also specialized in sleep apnea. After reviewing my son chart and doing her diagnosis she asked how is your son sleeping or doing at night? Some of questions started to make perfect sense and was intrigued to learn more about sleep health. After completing his home sleep study we find my son has obstructive sleep apnea. I don’t think many dentist talk about this due to lack of knowledge or just staying in the box of dentistry. Dr Horiyat is extremely knowledgeable and address all my concerns. I came in for routine dental and walked out proving a better quality of life for my son in finding a solution to his airway problems. Me and my 9 year old walked out with excitement. He said if this makes me a better soccer player I am in hahaha. We have started sleep appliances and instantly notice day and light difference in school in his attitude and he is killing it on the field. This review is way overdue.
