Positive experience: I had a very good experience on my 1st visit. The staff were so friendly and accommodating. They also explained everything to me. However, until now, I haven’t received my aligners. The order was placed 1st week of April. The tracking said it was sent back to shipper. It says that there was an attempted delivery to my place but I have never received any. Tried calling their cs hotline but they just sent me the tracking no. I was already charged for my order. I just hope somebody from their company will call me and give me an estimate delivery of my aligners.

Negative experience: Terrible clinic. I refused the Aligners as soon as the result of my Teeth was sent to me. Next, my payment of $300 was returned to me and in a few months I will find out that I am being written off for the loan. BUT I CANCELLED IT. it’s just a scam !!!GIVE ME BACK MY MONEY!

Negative experience: Went to the Sacramento office on Ethan Way. Were not able to meet with a dentist/orthodontist to get any questions answered regarding whether my daughter was a good candidate, but were inadvertently put on a "fast track" for payment, and still do not know whether it will work. Luckily I had a bad feeling about it, called the Customer Service number, and they fixed this. We will be going elsewhere...

Negative experience: Nothing against this location - I was always met by friendly staff. This review is for the company, which is trash. I used this service to make room for me to get an implant for a missing tooth. I went through three different cycles with them and the space that needed to get bigger got smaller! Whoever is “looking over” your care is not actually doing anything substantial. Mu suspicion is they use a program that straightens teeth, which it did do, at the expense of my missing tooth that now has less room than before. When I requested a refund, they offered me a partial. I urged them to reconsider as they made my problem worse and they offered me less money back! My advice is pay a little more money to go to a legit orthodontist. Trying to save a few bucks going to a less expensive service has doubled my cost rather than save me money.

Negative experience: If you are on the fence don’t do it. Ru lied and caused me so much inconvenience. I want to give him the benefit of the doubt and say it wasn’t malicious but either way it was self serving in his interest and I’m stuck doing the work to undo his mistake. So I’m taking my business elsewhere because it’s not worth it.

Negative experience: Friendly staff however my 4 month plan lasted well over a year due to the aligners not fitting. I missed the cut off to get them touched up and now they want to charge me an extra $99 a month when they should give me my money back for it taking this long and the aligners not fitting in the first place.

Negative experience: Didn’t straighten my teeth. They “guarantee” a straight smile. Tell me why after my 12 trays they still weren’t staying straight. The trays were $2600. The retainers were $300. The retainers did not keep my teeth in place and shifted back while I was wearing them. I ask for contact them for help in July after my treatment and it’s October now and they still haven’t helped me. Now they are saying I need to add a card to my account for a “touch up” and my whole front tooth is still pushed back… um not a touch up. Total scam I really wish I would have gotten braces instead. If they charge me more money I’m going to take legal actions. Also their trays are 3D printed, very uncomfortable. I’m literally going to have to pay $$$ for a cemented retainer. Anyways I recommend being seen by a real orthodontist and saving yourself the headache.

Negative experience: I have a terrible experience with SDC. I visited this office for 3D scan and after check in and during the scan they told me they will apply for a free electric toothbrush and explained the whole procedure. After 3 weeks I got my aligners but I realized two Terrible things: 1- although the name and everything was correct, the aligners did not match my tooth, 2- there was no toothbrush. I called the support and talked for 2 hours. They said we are sorry and blah blah blah and checked the aligners and my tooth through video call and confirmed that there must be a mistake in the production line. They said we send you the correct aligners BUT: they said they will not expedite the process (they have expedited service), and they cannot offer the toothbrush any more!!!!!!. It was super frustrating and I threaten to cancel my order and dispute the charge on my credit card. After this a manager called me and accepted to expedite the process and send a toothbrush as well. I got the package after two-three weeks and guess what! It was the exact same copy of the previous wrong aligners. UNBELIEVABLE!!!! Do not waste your money, time, energy, and peace of mind here.

Negative experience: This was a total waste of money and time. I would add no stars but that wasn't an option. My process was only suppose to be 6months and here it is 3 years and still no results. And I have been waiting on my touch up aligners for months. When I reached out I was told photos were needed which I already provided. And was told I should be receiving my aligners a month goes by. And I'm still waiting and reach out again and was told they are waiting for photos. Prior to all this I did everything via mail, and when no results were apparent. I scheduled an in person appointment to do a scan of my teeth in person. And sat and waited for my touch ups. When I finally reached out to check on the status they lost all my scans I took in person and had to wait for a kit to be mailed to me and do the impressions at home then mail it in. Now I'm waiting for a case worker to get a refund. This was a horrible experience.

Fantastic experience: Stephanie was AMAZING ⭐️ I arrived early and was seen right away. She took her time explaining the 3D process and how the aligners work. Stephanie was so nice and thorough. Negative experience: Granted, the lady that greeted me was very nice. WARNING - do not even try to get started if you are second guessing getting these aligners. Their return process is horrendous. I was told I had a 30 day money back guarantee, but I didn't expect the return process to take an entire month and a half to complete. I cancelled on the phone 17 days through the 30 day guarantee. The man on the phone said he cancelled it for me. Got an email a day later saying the aligners shipped. I called again, now I have to pay a shipping fee and go through the aligner return process even though they were supposed to cancel it. I'm told I have to ship it back and provide proof of shipping then I will get a refund. I call to say I have the proof and apparently I was supposed to be told when I cancelled an account manager will call me in 9 to 13 days to look at the shipping info and initiate the refund. 15 days pass, no call. I wait two hours on the phone even though the anticipated wait said 20 minutes. I don't know if I'll ever get these returned, 250 dollars wasted. It should not take this long for a return process, it is utterly ridiculous. You get cheap aligners, you get bad customer service. Just invest in the invisalign, this is some shady stuff.

Negative experience: The gentlemen helping me were very nice and respectful but VERY PUSHY and heavy emphasis on closing a sale. This is a consultation and a screening so I can make a decision on how I want to move forward. I want information first from the doctor following reviewing my scan to make the best decision on where to spend my money. They asked for me to make a decision and authorize payment before my scan.

Negative experience: I did not have much issue on my teeth, only one front teeth on the top left side needed to be align. The treatment was a total of 6 months, but my teeth has not fully aligned yet, at this moment I’m done with going to the office and get more aligners because is time consuming and long process. Originally, it was a three month treatment with 13 retainers. Then, finished it and that my teeth was not align, so I had to go to the office and give me another 9 sets of retainer. Waiting for the retainers was around 2-3 weeks to come, so during that time I had to wear the old retainer. I would not recommend smile direct if your teeth need a lot of aligning. I recommend going with the traditional style braises which is more sturdy and guaranteed result and you have a doctor to check up on. With Smile direct your on your own, no doctor to answer your question or concern. The retainer get yellow and gross after a day or two even when I use a brush to scrubbed immensely to clean the retainer, over time is became time consuming and tiring. They do not make the Harley retainer the metal retainer to where at night after treatment was done, so I have to go an orthodontist office and pay extra $500 and more dollars to get one custom made. I recommend braises as the Harley retainer is custom made by the doctor after your treatment is done.

Negative experience: 1440 Ethan Way, Sacramento, CA 95825 on 10/14/21@4pm James was our 3D tech. He was very curious, informative, and polite. Then the manager Stephanie came in... with her high pressure and ultimatum sales tactics, as soon as she heard me say the words, I have to think about it and discuss it with my husband... Stephanie's friendliness vanished! She snapped, became short with me and firmly said most of her customers come prepared, that I should have done my research! I was lured in with a free consultation and promise of an informative consultation. But had to sign a contract without even having my case be evaluated or discussed! Stephanie said I have 72 hrs to call customer care and cancel! She shoved a pamphlet and some freebies into a tote bag, handed it to my daughter, and walked out of the room without another word said. James tried to discuss the benefits of the payment plan, smiled and walked us out after thanking us for our visit. Thanks Smile direct, for an unpleasant evening provided by your manager Stephanie! This was a worse experience than trying to buy a CAR!

Negative experience: Horrible. I’ve called them 3 times now in the last 3 weeks and still have not received my retainers. This after I told them 2 weeks after my treatment plan ended that I’m not happy with my smile. They still charged me for bad retainers and did not work on a new alignment plan until I called back in. Now it’s going to be over another month’s delay. I greatly regret playing money to this company as my package is delayed and I’m wearing bad aligners that are cracked in multiple places while waiting for new ones because they have a bad dentist working on them still.

Negative experience: This is the worst company I have ever dealt with. There reviews must be fake This has been almost 2 years of run around the first time they switched my aligners so as I neared the end of the program all the teeth were crooked original imprints. Waited for months to receive the revision teeth went back to normal. You can’t speak to any professionals only receptionist. Nearly two years and teeth still aren’t straight out in a request for retainers because I settled and 5 weeks later all my aligners are broken they still haven’t shipped them. DO NOT WASTE YOUR TIME. THIS WAS A NIGHT MARE. HORRIBLE LEAD TIMES HORRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE NO FOLLOW UP. TEETH ARNT STRAIGHT. WASTE OF TIME

Negative experience: Smile Direct Club is a risky option. Maybe I am just very unlucky but I would still like to share my experience with them. I started my treatment and was very excited. They have a deal where if you refer someone they get a discount and you get a gift card so I referred my mom. I followed the link they sent me and booked her the appointment. At her appointment they did not give her the discount and when she mentioned it to the dentist she just handed her a random flyer. I had to call and sort it out. Seems like the person in charge disregarded what my mom said and didn’t check the system to see she went through the discount link. That was the first issue. The second issues was after my last aligners my bite was incorrect. My front tooth sat on top on my bottom tooth in a way that didn’t let me bite down on my back teeth so I had to take out the aligners and let my front tooth move forward. My mom finished her treatment and her gap didn’t close. She went back and had to get a new treatment. I also went back to get a new treatment but unfortunately someone didn’t put in my order. They told me it was going to be 4-5 weeks on May 15. Today is July 8 and after not getting them for so long I knew something was wrong. Now I am waiting another 4-5 weeks. It was too good to be true. I had braces about 10 years ago and didn’t wear my retainers so my teeth moved. My teeth looked amazing but I noticed after the smile direct treatment my teeth did not look as good as they did after braces. My old retainers did not fit on my teeth at all also. I really recommend going to a professional orthodontist and investing in a treatment where they will take care you.

Negative experience: I wore my aligners all day and night religiously. By the fourth set, my aligners were no longer fitting to my teeth and when I tried to get this fixed I played phone tag and sent multiple photos like they asked and nothing was fixed. I paid $2000 for nothing. Don’t waste your money unless you already had braces before and need a slight fix. If not, go to a real orthodontist who will actually talk with you and see your progress.

Negative experience: The staff are nice but they are sadly unable to make accurate assessments of what Smile Direct can treat. I got the aligners and they were so badly made I thought I got the wrong aligners. And they are brittle and cheap. I have since had three consultations with orthodontists. All three said I was not a candidate for aligners including expensive Invisaligns I need a tooth extraction and old fashioned metal braces. And getting a refund required weeks, days and hours of phone calls. I highly discourage anyone from getting aligners from this company.

Negative experience: Smile Direct Club sent me an email specifically stating that they verified coverage with my insurance carrier. They charged me the full amount of the aligners and then my insurance said they were never contacted. If they had we would have told them immediately that Smile Direct Club is not covered, and most insurance carriers don’t cover them - they said. I was stuck with the entire bill. I am not that thrilled with the product, and then throw in the poor customer service. I say stay away. It would have been cheaper for me to go to a REAL orthodontist and have insurance cover it.

Negative experience: I am sad to say I am having one of the worst customer service experiences of my life. I am at a loss of what do. I have been asking for weeks for the tax identification number for my dentist and they won’t give it to me. Without it I can’t get reimbursed from my insurance. Be careful before you sign up to get all the info your insurance needs before you sign your paperwork because you may never get it.

Fantastic experience: As a person who has had quite a few appointments for dental work over the years - from a chipped tooth, root canal, crown, braces and impacted wisdom teeth extraction - this was by far the quickest and most comfortable dr visit. Ariana was the sweetest. She went over the alignment process quickly, but thoroughly, and she paused along the way to make sure all my questions were answered. All of the staff in house were warm and welcoming. It’s clear that everything clients and staff touch are well sanitized for everyones health. Highly recommend for anyone considering a straighter smile.

A worker named Ariana was very helpful through the entire process! Even though the process says it will take 30 minutes, it was only like 15 which was great! I’ve been reading and checking out Smile Direct Club for a cool minute and was finally able to bring my teenager here. From start to finish, we were in and out in 30 minutes and greeted with friendly staff and superior customer service from beginning to end. We got the pleasure of being assisted by ANGIE; she is friendly and very knowledgeable. She made my daughter and I feel comfortable with the office, the intended treatment (outcome) and made sure I understood the flexible payment options. Such a great experience . Thank you bunches

Fantastic experience: I had the pleasure of talking with Ariana! She was so amazing and sweet! We talked about ourselves for the first couple of minutes before even discussing the Invisalign. She read out all the steps and let me take some pictures of the scanned teeth! Super awesome. We also had some good laughs! She’s awesome definitely a keeper!!! Thank you again!!!

Fantastic experience: One of the technicians (Gracie)that helped me was super nice!! she made me feel so comfortable and I couldn’t stop smiling when talking with her. Everyone was really professional, everything was super sanitized, and I would definitely recommend everyone to go and join the direct smile club:)

Fantastic experience: The smile office in sac was great! I was originally super nervous to go, but Kara immediately made me feel welcome. All the staff are super professional and knowledgeable. They explain everything and address any concerns you may have right away. 10/10 would recommend you get your 3D imaging done here instead of using the teeth putty!

Negative experience: OMG!!! Don't do it... it is a nightmare to deal with. Product sucked. We have been trying to cancel and get away from them starting 2019. They promise to cancel but keep billing our card. I finally cancelled the card and they turned it to collections. I speak to them and they promise to correct only to look for another way to collect money. I am likely going to go to small claims to get rid of them. Save yourself the trouble.

Fantastic experience: Answered all of my questions with the up most professionalism. The rooms were very clean and sanitized. Explained every part of the process for both the teeth scanning and the clear liners. Good pricing, they were able to help with monthly payments which help me out alot. She let me know step by step what was happening and answered all my questions. Then Stephanie came in to make sure everything was went smoothly (which it did!) The facility was very clean and welcoming. If you’re unsure don’t be because they will take care of you!

Fantastic experience: I had an appointment today at 4:30 PM I showed up 15 mins early and I was called back asap. Herman was the representative that helped me. He was extremely nice, patient, and attentive. He answered all my questions that i had with no problem. My experience was extremely good. I was pretty nervous at first because i was thinking it was going to be some bootleg business but to my suprise it was an awesome appointment. I then was walked out by Herman and with my forgetfulness I forgot an answer to one of my questions so I called and herman was quick to pick up and help me get again! Amazing appointment can't wait to start the process.

Fantastic experience: At first I was unhappy as I couldn't find the office. Directions were not exactly clear but I phoned the 800 # and Randy called the office and Dee helped direct me to the office. I was just down the street, oh my! Dee was so helpful and introduced me to two smile guides, Harman & JP - they were so upbeat and helpful, guiding me throughout the process and answering all my questions. Since I'm not technically astute at my age, they helped me work through procuring financing on my phone. We had such a great time. Really it wasn't like going to a dentist at all, in fact, it's beyond easy and you can immediately see what will be the outcome of the technical session. BIG kudos to Randy for getting me to Dee and more to her fore directions and then again BIG KUDOS to Harman & JP for making this such a delightful experience. I can't wait to see the end results. So looking forward to this. I will adamantly refer folks to Smile Direct Club...OMGosh, straightening teeth has come into the 21 Century and is so EASY!
