Negative experience: This is THE Most Disgusting Dental Office. Yes, it accepts Medical-Cal but it is also a petri dish of contamination. Blood splattered walls, teeth ripped out of your mouth, paper clips used for posts. It is a horrible office. When the DDS/ owner is known as THE BUTCHER it’s time to evaluate your options.

From the moment I walked in, they made me feel incredibly comfortable and at ease. The entire staff is great, but I have to give a special shout-out to Sarah. She is an absolute miracle worker! She is so transparent about everything, which really helped my anxiety. If you are nervous about dental visits, this is the place to go. I can't recommend them enough!

This facility is also very clean which is why I love coming here. Everyone is super friendly and very knowledgeable even when I had questions about someone who wasnt a patient there yet. Fantastic experience: This dental office is much better than I thought it would be. They are prepared and thoughtful. The dental hygienist was very capable+really understood her equipment and how to avoid causing pain to these old set of gums! She gave good information about the process and was very friendly. Pretty much everything you want to have during a 'teeth cleaning.' I would recommend.

Negative experience: I waited almost 2 hours for my appointment and was surprised that all was done was x-rays at a quick look at my teeth. The dentist was very gruff. The good thing was they are going to send a referral for a deep cleaning to my insurance company. Otherwise, I was very disappointed.

It really makes a difference when they remember you, and they do. The Hygienist and their new Dentist are excellent, professional, engaging, and kind. I was a little nervous to get a dental procedure done, and they were very responsive and quickly made me feel comfortable. The whole staff is pleasant and works great together.

Fantastic experience: My first time there 5/27 Going to the dentist is absolutely horrifying when you have agoraphobia... yet everyone in the office is so welcoming as well as understanding! Dr. Salek definitely took his time and broke down everything to get my dental hygiene back to where i feel amazing about myself. The dedication and heart put into treating his patients will never go unnoticed!!

Fantastic experience: I appreciate Dr. Salek and his team because they take time to explain in detail different treatment options, offer solid and honest feedback and answer all of my questions. In my experience, it’s difficult to find a dentist who is honest and fair rather than one who is shady and money driven. Dr. Salek has integrity and to me that’s everything…he happens to be amazing at what he does, too. ;) I’ve been a patient since 2019 and I won’t be going anywhere else besides Redwood Family Dentistry! And by the way…Dr. Salek is a magician with injecting Novocain! You won’t even know you got a shot. It’s the craziest thing lol.

Negative experience: My husband and I came once for xrays and a check up. The dentist told us we both needed crowns. Had a weird feeling so got a second opinion. We do not need any crowns! Neither of us! Yikes!

Negative experience: Don’t bother if you wanna be treated kindly over the phone and get coverage for procedures because they want you to pay out-of-pocket especially for expensive things like root canals and crowns. For me, it was a waste of time

Fantastic experience: They are very good dentist, but that’s one downside when they do x-rays and they realize that your mouth is so small and they use a big old x-ray thing for you to bite onto so they can get the x-rays and it ends up gagging you afterwards they don’t say anything they just go on with their work But I’m just gonna let them work on me and do what they need to do and see how good they do and if they do a good job cool and then I’m just gonna go back to. Fantastic experience: It was over a 1.5 years ago, I went in thinking I needed a root canal for a tooth. After numbing me completely and explaining the process she drilled down and asked if I was experiencing pain from the tooth. I am grateful that below everything, the root of my tooth was just fine. She took a few different impressions, one for the temporary that was put in place. Grateful to have had the tooth capped, the temporary in place and I left after matching the color of the crown to be ordered. Today 3/4/2026, I appreciated the thorough cleaning and update on my oral hygiene. Keeping up with the recommendations, I get to return in 6 months for my next cleaning.

Fantastic experience: Dr. Guadalupe is an excellent dentist, she is very kind and explains very well. He feels a very good atmosphere at the clinic and his staff is very friendly.

Negative experience: They are horrible, I traveled 5 hours each time for a 10 minutes appt. I had atleast 15 appointments and in the end my dentures don't fit and the dentist accused me of wasting my insurance company's money. All I wanted was to be able to eat. Now Im stuck with dentures that don't fit. They chipped my new dentures they wouldn't make them fit right and the dentist was very rude. I would recommend going anywhere else but here.

Negative experience: The dentistry itself and the staff there are great, but the reason for this one star is because the owner and dentist who works there. Dr. Salek was nasty and rude all throughout the appointment and clearly felt he better things to do rather than his own job. He is beyond unprofessional and smells like raw meat. Do not go here if you want actual good service for your teeth.

Negative experience: I only have one star only for one specific person. The staff are wonderful and so is this dentistry BUT! The owner is beyond disrespectful not only to his patients but to his staff. He might be here twice a week… but that’s enough to know that I don’t want this man working on my mouth again. He is a disgrace to the dentist community. Absolutely disgusted by his attitude today. It was ugly seeing him. Not only that but the owner without my knowledge gave me a shot. Didn’t even say hello, how are you nothing just said open and lit me up with lidocaine. Was yelling at me throughout the entire procedure. It’s sad that even his own staff dislike him that should say a lot. And he smells very bad. Bad stinky rude heartless owner.

She was always down to earth really took in consideration that this was far far from a good time for me.I could hear the other Dr.talking with a patient and was so wonderful. Negative experience: My family got work done here. None of us can chew on our back teeth anymore. Root canals were ineffective, sloppy work, crowns not sealed, and the dentist mentioned to an aid how he does not do procedures as taught in school, during an active dental surgery on me.

Negative experience: Redwood Family Dentistry in Santa Rosa has serious and ongoing issues with communication, scheduling, and professionalism. Medically necessary rescheduling for my child in 2024 due to post surgical complications was treated as “strikes,” showing a lack of judgment and empathy. In January I noticed I was never rescheduled for a routine cleaning, called and was later given a January appointment that was canceled without any confirmed notice, and then told the next availability was April. Attempts to escalate the issue were dismissed, and I was refused access to a supervisor or HR. This level of disorganization and lack of accountability is unacceptable for a healthcare provider

Negative experience: I have medical and a reason why my teeth are the way they were he made me feel so low and did not discuss nothing and same thing with the guy before me he had medical and he told him without money to come back after seeing another dentist

Fantastic experience: Absolutely fantastic. Came in for a deep cleaning which usually is unbearable. It was handled with such dexterity and precision that I sat through it without being numbed. The doctors and hygienists are too notch. The front of the office is friendly and on the ball too. Can't say enough good things

Fantastic experience: Dr was excellent, and thorough and honest. Beware of Dr Buzz next door!! Absolute criminal, diagnosed $5k of nonexistent cavities and missed the only real cavity I had!! Perhaps to harvest we as a root canal. I have the dental records to prove it. Shocking the nerve of some professionals. Beware in general and buy a dental mirror kit most cavities are visible to any decent eyes. Recently 1 local emergency room doctor misdiagnosed staff and gave friend 2 antibiotics to treat poison ivy! Another local E room Dr. misdiagnosed my son with ring worm and prescribed a $600$ medicine e didn’t need and you can buy effective treatment over the counter for 12!

Fantastic experience: I got my root canal done at this office, and I just have to say this office has been amazing from the very start. When I mentioned I was in pain after my scans, they didn’t judge me at all — they completely understood and made sure my appointment wasn’t too far out. They even called me a week ago to see if I wanted to come in sooner after a last-minute cancellation, which really showed how much they care and listen. I’ve reached out to other dentists before, but none of them showed the same level of compassion and urgency as this team. The front staff are always so friendly, patient, and happy to answer all my questions. The doctor and the rest of the staff were incredibly kind and made sure I felt comfortable and informed the entire time. I’m so glad I chose this dentist — especially as someone who didn’t get the chance to visit the dentist much growing up.

Negative experience: Office is very clean but otherwise I did not have a good experience here with service. I had been dropped as a patient after one cancellation due to my newborn and I getting COVID. I understand the policy but feel that they could be more lenient especially as a longtime patient. During my cavity filling I experienced the worst pain ever from the lidocaine shot. I’ve never felt anything like it for other fillings at other dentists. The dentist seemed very inexperienced and even didn’t continue my fillings because all the staff in the office left mid appointment and he said he “could not do a filling without an assistant”. Which was very confusing as to why they would schedule me at a time when everyone was leaving if he felt he couldn’t do it by himself. After seeing an experienced dentist who is able to administer shots very quick and painless AND do fillings on his own without an assistant made me realize what poor service I received at this office. Would not recommend personally, especially for people who get nervous with dentistry work.

Negative experience: The office was supposed to take Medical & Medicare but that was just a hook to get new patients. Yasmine was great the only friendly and professional employee. The women in reception were not friendly or helpful. The Dentist upsells all of his patients and always pushes Root Canals and Crowns but which cost Thousands of dollars

Fantastic experience: I’ve been here before in the past this time the dentist was super attentive and heard me and was totally willing to work with me. I was super happy when I left. I finally feel like that I can move forward. I was very very happy when I left.

He took the time to explain what he was doing at my appointment and focused on each patient one at a time. The work he did looks good and I am thoroughly satisfied. The office staff is also very informative and professional and answers each person's questions in full .

They explained everything perfectly and all three of the ladies at the front desk are absolutely amazing. I will be bringing my daughters here for all of their dental needs as well

He somehow comes up with a plan every time I go in there with something broken or lose. If you were to look at me, my teeth look pretty nice and that is 100% Dr Salek’s work. I just think so much of him and I trust him to do everything he can to make my smile look good. He is also very gentle while working on your teeth. The other part of his office is his amazing staff. Fantastic experience: I had my first appointment with Redwood Family Dentistry today. Both the front office and dental staff were very friendly and professional. Also, I had been told by two dentists prior to this visit that my teeth and gums were in too bad a shape to salvage. The dentist here was caring enough to tell me that my teeth were salvageable and reminded me of the many pitfalls of getting dentures. It's rare to find dentists who truly care. I highly recommend this office. Five stars. Edit: Do not trust this office. I take back my positive review. They have negative reviews stating that the dentist advertised on the website isn't the one who ends up seeing them, which is what I discovered. I was told by the young dentist who saw me that they would do deep cleaning and scheduled me for October, two months after I saw her. They called and canceled today saying that their dentist quit and they have no idea when someone can see me. This is unacceptable. Very disappointed.

Negative experience: One of my lifetimes most horrible experiences. My initial impression was to continue with the examination and make an overall assessment after all was completed. The male dentist which overseas all his minions is terribly rude and aggressively interfering. The overall experience was one I would not wish on anyone.
