Fantastic experience: 8 months ago Dr Evans performed an apicoectomy on my front left tooth for a 50 year infection. Several attempts and root canal, it was decided to go with apicoectomy. It was a success and what a miracle. I have been infection free since last September and give Dr Evans and his staff %150 brilliance review. By far, this is the place for good care. You rock!!!!!

Fantastic experience: Dr. Evans took great care of me and my whole family during our 6 month visits. The took exceptional care of my son who was a little nervous having some work done and almost passed out on them! Couldn’t recommend Dr. Evans and his team enough!

Negative experience: I had pain for a month after cavity fillings. And I still have sensitivity when eating on that side of my mouth 2 months later. I got the rest of my fillings done YESTERDAY at a different dentist, and I have NO pain today and I'm able to chew normally on that side. The difference is shocking. We went to Matt Philson for years and he was fantastic. I am unimpressed with the new Dr. Evans after this experience.

Fantastic experience: It is always a very pleasant experience at Dr. Philsons office. He is so personable and attentive as are his coworkers. I say coworkers beacause he treats his dental assistants with patience and respect as he does me. He takes time to explain different options for dental work and reasons for it. He was recommended to me and I recommend him to anyone. They are very cautious during the epidemic as well. A year later I am still going to Dr. PHILSON. They are like close family in that office. I stand by my previous review. Another year later, I am still very satisfied with Dr. Philson and his staff. They are kind and patient and they are like family. Still another year later, I even feel like part of the family at Dr. Matt's office And now our dear Dr. Phils9n passed away and we hsve a new dentist, Dr. Evans. Seems like the kund of guy the doc woukd have picked to take over for him. Very upbeat and kind and the whole team is still like a family!!!. I believe Dr. Evans is very good at what he's does and he's continues the beautiful loving vibe that Dr. Philson (I called him Doc) had. I forgot to mention that I'm always happy to see my teeth cleaner. She's thorough but gentle and She's funny. She's been cleaning my teeth for a long time!!!

Negative experience: The aftercare at this place was a joke. I got 4 wisdom teeth out at once was sent home Thursday with just a prescription note for narcotics. I was supposed to have a mouth rinse with it and with this prescription it would have been completed on their end. In my opinion the mouth rinse was more crucial to me than the narcotics. When I got to the pharmacist they said they did it wrong and they needed to fix the instructions on their end, didn’t seem too difficult. They close at 3 and are closed on Fridays and my prescription was ready at 4 on a Thursday mind you for the narcotics, so they couldn’t fix their mistake on the rinse, so I messaged them right away like they suggested. Of course that was a waste of time they told me it was sent in which was false. I waited for Monday because there wasn’t much I could do. I messaged them Monday morning because there was something wrong and the pain was too great, even with narcotics. They said nothing about the mouth rinse but I was just glad they could get me in, so I didn’t make too much a fuss which was my mistake, always advocate for yourself. When I went in they told me I had an infection and the dentist asked have I been using the mouth rinse that was prescribed and I stated it’s not ready there was something wrong on your end, all I got was I’ll give a prescription for antibiotics. I’m in so much pain and this could have been avoided. I have been waiting 5 days for the mouth rinse and Monday when I went in they still didn’t fix it, so I had another provider I knew and they called one in that second and got it done. That mouth rinse was very important for the healing process. I’m in so much pain and this all could have been avoided. Please don’t take yourself or your loved ones here. I have been crying in pain for 4 days now with an infection that could have been avoided. I did wonder why the dentist stated about 4 to 5 times for a good review I didn’t think much of it because he did a good job it was the aftercare they do not know how to handle properly. The physician that passed god rest his soul would have never let something like this happen. Do you think in these times I can take that many days off work to heal and then have to heal from something that could have been easily avoided. Tooth pain is no joke and to me they treated it as such. If that’s something you want this is the right place to go. The office manager even laughed at my mother when my mom went in and tried to help me and kept rolling her eyes and my mom asked her stop and she laughed again the physician just watched.

Fantastic experience: Felt very comfortable in the office. Receptionist helped with insurance issue; staff friendly and dentist very caring, patient and knowledgeable.

Fantastic experience: It’s easy to show up for your appointment knowing you will be treated as a friend and not just another line in the appointment schedule. Genuine greeting from the Front desk, and a tech who converses casually and personally with you. Plus they are serious about why you are here and professional about they need to do. Obviously they took on Matt’s personal approach to his idea of a Personal and Professional practice.

Fantastic experience: I am a senior with a lot of dental repair experience. Meeting Dr. Evans and having him do repair work for me was perhaps the most pleasurable dental experience of my life. First Dr. Evans takes health very seriously. It is apparent in his fitness level which is amazing. Second he is very personable showing a high level of understanding and he communicates well. I recommend him for any of your dental needs.

All the staff were also great! I just found out the news today at work, Ive been waiting to hear that he was back working and he was doing better! Fantastic experience: I have never had a bad experience with the Dentist, so when I say this is the best one in town that says a lot! Dr. Philson and his staff are all very kind, knowledgeable, and explain things very very well. Knowing what’s going on is huge for me and they always accommodate.

Fantastic experience: I finally found a local dentist in Pueblo who I can trust to just clean my teeth every 6 months and not recommend unneeded filling revisions !!! And I have to give special kudos to the hygienist Rachel who cleaned my teeth better than I think anybody has ever cleaned them !

Fantastic experience: Update: 10/16/2024 Unfortunately, I can’t leave a 2nd review…. So I will UPDATE my current review. I had a veneer come off one my teeth & between both Dr. Philsons (brothers of course ) I was able to get it in super fast and the repair was amazing. I am so very thankful for both of you!!!!!! Dr Philson and his team were awesome!! I’m new to town and needed a new dentist and found Dr Philson on google (had great reviews and was close to my house)! His staff was very flexible with my scheduling needs and sent MANY reminders to get me in the chair (thank goodness cause I needed them all)! Highly recommend!!!

Negative experience: Says they accept Medicaid but not New patients! Even if your in extreme pain or it's an emergency they don't care .. receptionist was very rude and uncaring.........

Fantastic experience: My disabled daughter was always afraid of going to the dentist. Dr Philson changed all of that. His gentle personality and sensitive manner has made trips to the dentist so much easier. And the dental assistants explain everything fully so she knows what is going to be done in this visit. The only thing that is still a problem is that she hates needles. I guess we can't have everything.

I was worried that finding a new dentist after my provider for 30 years passed away suddenly, but I'm very pleased to have found Dr. Philson.

Fantastic experience: I had tooth pain on Friday morning at 630am. I called the office and text Dr. Philson. He had me come in at 830 am and both analyzed and fixed my problems. I was at the office until 1030am on that same day. His assistant worked long and diligent and I left the office feeling comfortable. I was so happy with his service. I would recommend him to everyone.
