Fantastic experience: The staff is always nice and courteous, and they are prompt and responsible. The main reason that I consistently go to Ormond Family Dental is because of the dental hygienist, Jennifer. Jennifer has been my hygienist for years. Her level of caring and attention to detail is top-notch, and she has consistently gone above and beyond to make sure that my teeth and gums get comprehensive dental care. The most valuable thing that Jennifer has done is educate me on what I need to do in between appointments to maintain and improve my oral health; Jennifer gives me the how and the why. This goes way beyond brushing and flossing, and it doesn’t cost me a fortune either. Put simply, she’s the best.

Fantastic experience: I felt very comfortable with Destiny and Taylor handling my check in and insurance issues. Jennifer the Hygienist is very talented as was the Dentist...Dr. Diaz.

Negative experience: They always have different Dr.’s. The front office is terrible about wasting peoples time.

Negative experience: I called this Dental Offfice because I had a tooth break in half. They got me in quickly and as the appointment went along , the tooth was never addressed, yet they told me everything that needed to be done. They decided i needed veneers, crowns, and sent me to the billing office where I felt like I was at a car dealership because shes going over all the things I need. 11K worth of work they said I need. They sent me on my way and NEVER addressed a tooth completely broken in half, for what I made the appointment for! I called again and attempted to make another appointment to get some of the work done and once again, different things from different people. Wasted my time and took a panoramic x ray when I didn't need it. Very unfortunate, the staff was very friendly and the front end lady was very professional and i was looking forward to get my dental issues addressed The upselling was obnoxious.

Negative experience: honestly , my experience wasn’t the best i haven’t been back here in about a few months i got fillings and my teeth still hurt still feel pain, the dentist i don’t remember his name … but he did my filling the 2nd time around and completely left me mid service and did someone else came back to me and my anesthesia was already almost wore off tried drilling more into my mouth after he made me wait over 45 minutes while he was doing someone else mouth & left me mid fillings … it was unacceptable i wanted to question him on why he left me to do somebody else but i had already paid was just ready to leave but overall it’s out dated only 1 dentist honestly i just feel like i paid to get my teeth fixed and my mouth hurts even more i feel like my filling weren’t done right but i will be going to somebody else to see .

Fantastic experience: I've gone there now 4 times and every time I have a very good experience. The office staff are friendly, and funny, and Ziggy is very kind, friendly and efficient. The dentist did good work on my teeth. I would recommend it to anyone in Ormond.

However they are so professional, calming and communicative that my fears were addressed and I got my implants. It was a painless procedure. They explained everything before and during the process. I am so happy with the results. The whole team including Sareena at the front desk help me to finally get this done after my extraction several years ago.

Fantastic experience: Hello I just want to let everyone know Ormond family dental is the best ever, I am a security officer and my smile is everything to me and a year ago I started with the process of dental implants and from the beginning I was treated like family from a very professional staff they were there every step with me and made sure I was satisfied and happy , after almost a year I went in this morning and told them of little problem I was having , not only did they fix it they replaced parts that also had a little problem free of charge, when I tell you the family in family dental is real genuine it is true. I will be here doing all my dental for ever !

Negative experience: I went in for a check-up and was in the middle of getting X-rays done. My daughters were in the waiting area. According to them, a staff member yelled at them over noise in the office. Instead of addressing the situation professionally, I was told to stop my appointment and reschedule for a time when I would not have my children with me. Being asked to leave mid-appointment and return without your kids — after staff raised their voice at them — is not how a family-oriented medical office should operate. Very disappointing experience, especially as a parent.

Positive experience: I had just moved into the area and establish care at this dental office. From the office staff to the dental technicians to Dr. Dias, I was warmly greeted and addressed in friendly, professional and caring manner. There was some work needed beyond the normal cleaning and X-Rays that required coordination of the skilled staff. During my most recent visit, they discovered additional dental work needed, and were able to obtain an estimate for this so I could approve it and all could be completed at that time. Great team-work! Thank you!

Negative experience: My experience with this place has been literally a nightmare which started off with having to have five crowns all of which are horrifying bulky ugly and hurting and all I keep getting told is use a sensitive toothpaste, which has now been over six months still no change still seems to be no care when you first go here everyone is super nice but the moment you disagree with something that they’ve done They start treating you poorly. I also had to have some partial and other stuff done all of which I went back three different times and they keep getting worse each time the last time I just went back I was told to give them one more chance they’ve already used two different dental labs. Which neither one worked I was willing to give them one last chance because the dentist asked me to even though I have to wait three weeks each time to just find out that they’re worse than the first ones this last time I had really just had it. The girl did three different impressions and made a statement she couldn’t get them right I told her I cannot keep sitting here any longer. She offered to reschedule the appointment of course I told her I am done at this point. I have just had enough if you’ve taken impressions three times and you can’t get it right you expect me to keep waiting or come back and have to take off of work again and wait another three weeks to find out they’re worse than the first ones again therefore I requested a refund and I have been shunned every since I made a phone call to Destiny yesterday of which she never returned my phone call. I would not recommend this place to anyone. I thought it was going to be a good place seeing all the five star reviews, but then found out the five star reviews are only because of some television they put your name in for a drawing after seeing all the other comments the TV’s been sitting there for over a year just trying to get themselves five star reviews. This is horrible. I have literally been traumatized by this place. I’ve had dental issues for over 20 years and never in my life. Have I had any experience like I’ve had at this place. I am now going to contact the Better Business Bureau because of the lack of care the lack of concern I just spent $6000 that I didn’t have for crowns and partials and other things all of which now I have to start completely over going to have to probably have my crowns removed and replaced now. I can’t begin to express the trauma. I have experienced at this place and I’m not even sharing every single thing that did happen. I hope this will help someone else when making a decision.

Negative experience: BEWARE! This dentist charges a small fee to get new patients in the door and then attempts to charge $680 (not kidding) for a follow-up cleaning. OUTRAGEOUS attempt at overbilling.

Fantastic experience: Super happy I found this place!! I’ve been coming here for 2 yrs and I wouldn’t change it. The Doctors and staff are all great with positive attitude. I never wait no more than 5 minutes in the waiting room. They are organized and clean. Destiny is absolutely a doll. She’s accommodating, respectful and very helpful. I’ve recommended my husband and he loves it too. Definitely a family dental facility!!

Positive experience: Anyone with Florida BC/BS Medicare, this practice is our in-network provider. Exam and x-rays were covered as stated on the plan. But cleaning, which is covered ,is dependent on what type of cleaning you are getting. If you need a professional "deep" cleaning, it is not covered. I suggest checking to be certain what you will be billed for before scheduling cleaning.

Fantastic experience: Jennifer gave me the best cleaning of my entire life. Shes a wonderful hygienist. Please come see her! This is where you should get your teeth cleaned.

Negative experience: Our visit (mine and my wife's) was a mistake. From the time we entered we felt ill at ease. The hours we waited, moved from one space to another, sitting, waiting. The office had a tense atmosphere and we found the personalities of the hygienist and doctor were cold, and very noncommunicative. . My wife was told that she had cavities near a crown. After the old crown was removed, she was told that there were, in fact, NO cavities. She was then given a new, ill-fitting crown and put through two hours of torture trying to make it fit. She is still experiencing pain because of it. I was scheduled to return for 'deep cleaning,'' but felt so ill at ease about returning, that I cancelled last minute, and, of course, was charged for the late cancellation. My experience was that the back-office staff were more like prison guards than congenial professionals. We will never return to Dr. Kim and his staff.

Negative experience: This dental office does not offer sedation dentistry, yet it heavily advertises the service on their website, in mailers, and via other media. When I called and inquired about the service they said they no longer provide the service, yet the ad that I referred to was 3 days old. Thus, breaking the trust barrier before it could be established.

Fantastic experience: I needed a lot of dental work done, the girls in the office and Ziggy were very sweet to me, helpful and assured me they would assist me in having a confident smile again. I’m still in the process but I’ve had two crowns on my front teeth done, two fillings and a tooth extraction. I’m happy and Dr.Kim was efficient, and Monique did a great job hand sculpting on my temporary crowns! Thank you Ormond Family Dental for giving me confidence back.

Fantastic experience: I just had my first periodontal appointment with Jennifer. I’m one of those patients that has a lot of anxiety and haven’t been to the dentist in years. She was wonderful. I highly recommend this office. I have a lot of work to be done and I’m glad that I found this place

Negative experience: I’ve never had a problem going to the dentist, but just wow. Equipment seems outdated, I have my doubts about the cleanliness of it as well. Ladies at the front were very kind but unfortunately that doesn’t make up of for the unprofessional care you will receive once you sit in that chair. Never have I been in serious pain during a dentist appointment, but today that changed. The doctor seemed careless of the fact his nail was digging into my gum while he was checking for cavities. (Yes he had gloves on but still that was certainly a first for me.) I’m convinced the only reason they have good reviews on google is because of their “5 star review giveaway for 65in Tv” Save yourself from this place, go look at the reviews on yelp they are accurate to the care you will receive here.

Negative experience: I made an appointment for a new patient exam with Dr. D.Kim on 5/7/2025 at 4pm. This was at the Ormond Beach Family Dentist office location at 1200 West Granada Blvd. I phoned several times to confirm my appointment as a professional courtesy. I made the appointment with the sincere hope to establish care with an in network provider. I have an outstanding dentist and hygienist who are both kind, gentle and proficient and professional. Their practice does not take my insurance although when I first saw them they did take it. I arrived early for the appointment. They had the wrong first name entered into the computer for me. Also, I did not plan on having x-rays at this appointment. I had wanted to see Dr. Kim to decide if this was a good place for care. There was a lot of loud talking and yelling between staff. A male employee took me back to do films. I was concerned about his lack of handwash8ng as he had come out to the waiting area carrying two bags of garbage immediately prior to calling me back. I was put in a very old narrow chair in a dingy dirty room where I could see and hear what the hygienist and dentist were saying to other patients. I mentioned to the hygienist that I had just had two recent cleanings and that my pockets were good. I had been sick with a severe allergy cold which I told her was causing some overall inflammation. I had to ask her to wash her hands. She proceeded to try to sell me her experience in a prior office. Dr. Kim came in briefly. He did not seem interested in me as a patient at all. He was cold and impersonal. I was taken by the male employee to see an office manager who tried to sell me a treatment plan. I told her I would not be back. I signed a release form to have my dental films emailed to me which she promised to do and has not done. On 5/9/25 I phoned and a woman named Destiny took my information and said she would do it right away. When I returned home from work I checked my email for the films and it had not been done. I sent a text message and two more emails to their office and will follow up this week to try to get it taken care of appropriately. I am going to reach out to my insurance carrier as well. I would have given them no stars except for the male employee who did try to be polite and kind. He needs to member to follow good handfasting practices. Fantastic experience: Came in for dental pain as a one off visit since I'm moving soon and my normal dentist was unavailable before I would be moving. And they still treated me great. Jennifer and Ziggy the assistants were so patient with my horrible gag reflex during x-rays, and I feel terrible that I made their jobs harder despite them saying it wasn't a big deal. Dr Kim was also patient with me, and while I didn't catch their names the front desk and dental hygienist were also a pleasure to work with. They set up a plan for me, and while I still have some pain, just what was done so far with a detailed cleaning relived it a lot. I would be happy to be a regular patient there if I wasn't leaving the state!

Fantastic experience: I am 72 years old and been having my teeth cleaned for 60 years. Never, ever, have I had my teeth cleaned the way this technician cleans your teeth. Her name is Jennifer. She is an amazing dental hygienist. You don't even know that she is in your mouth. I'm not kidding you when I say this, and l am not exaggerating. She has cleaned my teeth twice. Each cleaning has been exceptional. Each timenot once and l am not exaggerating, never once did I feel a prick, any type of pain, and my teeth were clean to exception. She is an exceptional hygienist. Jennifer is a true asset to this practice. She is kind, patient and extremely thorough. She truly cares about your teeth, your mouth and how you take care of it. She treats your mouth as if it were hers. There aren't enough words to describe this woman and her commitment to you the patient. Jennifer, thank you.

Fantastic experience: Wonderful staff and Dentists. Appointments are easily scheduled. I’ve found the staff are very courteous and take extra time to make sure you thoroughly understand everything step of your visit.

Negative experience: I was not informed prior to the appointment that the practice was out of network with my insurance provider. This information should have been communicated during the scheduling process to allow me to make an informed decision and potentially seek care from an in-network provider. The out-of-network status resulted in significant out-of-pocket expenses exceeding $200. I was informed that the practice would submit a claim to my insurance, and I would receive reimbursement directly. However, I have not encountered this process previously and am uncertain of the typical reimbursement timeline. Furthermore, the appointment itself was delayed by approximately an hour, suggesting potential scheduling challenges. X-rays and a very brief exam took over an hour on top of the delay to be seen. The overall experience felt rushed and impersonal, with no attempt made to schedule a follow-up cleaning appointment. Edit: They also put forward a treatment plan of over $1000 between the two of us. Very skeptical and will seek a second opinion. Highly doubt I will be reimbursed from insurance. Terrible business practices.

These people were so professional and understood exactly what I was looking for. They were able to not only fix my Cracked Upper Denture, but also adjust my lower denture. Fantastic experience: They DO MOT OFFER SEDATION as advertised. They make you pay in advance. Took 2 hours to extract my tooth. Then dentist LIED when he told me he was giving me an antibiotic for my access and it was a steroid!! Told them I will NEVER return and was going to let other innocent elderly people know not to use their services!!!

Fantastic experience: Dr Attara is the best dentist I have ever been to. He is very nice and he explains everything he is doing. He takes his time and doesn’t rush through everything. Fantastic experience: Absolutely enjoyed my experience With the Stefan and Dr. Attara! The check in process was easy and the staff were very friendly. It’s nice to go to a place where you’re not just a body to get in and out of their seat, and where they listen to your concerns. I look forward to my dental check ins again!

Negative experience: BEWARE! Called the office and made an appt. for a complimentary consultation. Went to the appt. and x-rays were taken. The Tech stated there was no extra charge. Then, without consulting with the dentist, a 2nd set of X-rays were taken. The dentist did an exam and as I was leaving the office, the front desk receptionist stated I owed $381 for X-RAYS!!! I told them NOT to bill my insurance because I was told this would be a FREE consult. I told them I will call my insurance to dispute these charges, and that I did. I will also be writing a letter to the Dental Association.

Fantastic experience: The girls are so friendly, the tech who cleaned my teeth did a very nice job,thank you Today 6/1/22 my 97 year old mother broke a front tooth and they made her a temporary crown, and a permanent tooth will be available in 3 weeks. Fantastic experience: First I need to say I am on older guy that has never left a review for any business in my life. Just the fact that I am taking the time to do so for the first time should speak volumes. I moved to Florida 5 years ago and it has been an adventure finding a competent honest dentist. I am someone who has religious gone to the dentist 3 times a year for the past 20 years keeping up with the hygiene. Imagine my surprise as the first dentist I saw told me I needed 5 crowns. What!!! Impossible. I got right out of there and never went back. Let's try dentist number 2. Well not 5 crowns but 2. I had them fill the teeth they recommended. However when I went for my first crown it dawned on me there was no consistency if care. I actually had a different dentist each time I went in. My inner voice told me this isn't right if the office can't retain dentists so I walked out in the appointment without getting the crowns. Hmmm back to the drawing board. I can actually say the 3rd time was the charm when looking for a dentist. My first appointment went amazing. Best of all no crowns needed. A couple fillings and a deep cleaning and I will be done. It is refreshing to actually find an honest dentist that doesn't want to fill your mouth with expensive crowns. The deep cleaning was painless and I requested it done without numbing. That bad nagging feeling I had has now been replaced with a warm fuzzy feeling. After 3 tries I have finally found a dentist. Ormond family dental has now gotten a patient for Life Thank you so much to ormond family dental and their pleasant staff.

Fantastic experience: As a first time going to Ormond Family Dental my wife, Patricia, had a dental emergency and a short deadline as we were going on vacation in a few days. The office staff was super nice and adjusted things around to fit her in to repair her tooth. They reviewed everything that was to be done and gave her two options of what they could do. The prices were very reasonable. The Dentist did a beautiful repair to the tooth and Pat is convinced that Ormond Family Dental will be her permanent Dental Clinic.

Fantastic experience: Dr. Salinas did an absolute wonderful job with my teeth. The results could not have been any better and would recommend this dental practice to everyone.

Negative experience: I started service at the end of the year. First visit to get x-rays took nearly four hours. Then I had some extractions and fillings. That was another 6 hours. The dentist was really nice, and said she was giving me a Christmas gift for waiting so long. She filled in a chip in my front tooth. I tried to go back to finish the extractions that had not yet been taken care of and was told that there was a problem with insurance. After a couple months of waiting was told that there was a balance that would need to be paid before I could continue. The office staff got argumentative when I was asking questions trying to figure out what happened. I had pre-paid for the remaining extractions and then I paid the balance. This totalled to 366 dollars. I never got a straight answer from them. I finally figured out what happened when I looked at the claims on the insurance website. Turns out they submitted the filling of the chipped tooth, which was not covered buy insurance as it was cosmetic. I didn't not ask for this procedure to be done as I did not care about it. I have had it filled in the past and it always comes out after a while. So now I am put $366 for a procedure I did not want or ask for that I was told was a gift for sitting in the chair for over 6 hours before Christmas. This is totally unethical. Like I said, the dentist was really nice, but to be billed for something I did not ask for and was told was a gift. Then to have the office staff not tell me that I was billed for it and get argumentative trying to find out what happened to cause me to have a balance when I had pre-paid for service. I would stay fat away as possible from this place

Negative experience: Not had good experience here, I was established patient,called on March 1st in pain ,severe, and could not see me til 13th! Had to see my family Dr for antibiotics,as they would not help, go to my appointment on 13th and still waiting for appointment to get tooth extraction,no one calls you back, and I also told them No Epinephrine,and they argued with me over that, I have severe allergies to it and can't take, Dr said she would have to give to me regardless!! The place has changed Dr 3 x in 3 months, Avoid this place!!!

Fantastic experience: The office is clean and has a small kids area, very cool. The staff is kind and respectful. The 2 reminder calls were really appreciated. I look forward to coming back.

Positive experience: I think there has been some kind of turnover with old staff. In the beginning when I use to come here 2022 things were excellent, but recently I noticed there are: 1.) Lack of qualified staff resulting in long wait times. 2.) Lower quality work, my fillings had slipped out and it had to be replaced. 3.) They also do not give instructions on how to care for yourself after a major procedure.

Negative experience: Terrible. Dingy office. They came up with a $10,000 plan that was not covered by my insurance. It seemed their goal was to do expensive, unnecessary work for their optimal profit. One of the worst experiences I've ever had at the dentists. Would definitely not recommend them.

Fantastic experience: Great experience! The staff is very nice and welcoming. My family and I have been coming here for years! Always leave with my teeth feeling clean and refreshed!

Negative experience: Two appointments cancelled by this office due to them no longer accepting my insurance. The first time I didn’t receive any notification so I was unaware that they didn’t accept my insurance which had been changed and they were able to accept my new insurance but still did not honor my appointment and I had to return. 6 months later same insurance. I received a call on Friday before my Tuesday appointment asking about my insurance to which I gave the company name and ID number, she said she would call me before Tuesday if there were any problems. I didn’t receive a call so I assumed it was good and showed up for my appointment as scheduled at 11am. I was then informed that they do not take my insurance, which they had at the last 6 month appointment. It’s very frustrating that I cut my vacation short to make this appointment only to be told WHEN I arrived that I would have to pay out of pocket. This incident combined with the previous situation 6 months prior has shown me that this business is completely unprofessional and has zero organizational skills. The desk ladies were rude and unapologetic about their inability to their jobs. I would not recommend this business and would strongly suggest you look elsewhere for your dental needs.

Negative experience: Was suppose to get 5 root canals and 5 caps with crowns. Sat for 6 hours in the chair and the doctor was only able to do 1 and gave me a referral to get the other 4 done someplace else. After doing just that I went back to start the caps and crowns only to find out I was being charged an extra 1200.00 for the attempt that was made on the teeth they couldn’t do. So I had to pay someone else full price to finish the work that they were suppose to do and pay them for their incompetence. THEY ARE RIPOFFS DONT GO THERE. Needless to say I didn’t do my caps and crowns at that place I found another dentist. A root canal that was supposed to cost me 800.00 ended up costing me double that for each of the 4 teeth.

Fantastic experience: Coming to Ormond Family Dental was purely by chance and I am so glad that I stepped in and asked if they were accepting new patients. From the very beginning everyone was very helpful and friendly. I had my first appointment today from the front desk to seeing the doctor everything was explained as to what I was going to need to have done and no surprises. I’m very pleased that Ormond Family Dental is where I will be having my much needed dental care done. Thank you!

Fantastic experience: I love this dentist! I was treated very well! And always get treated well! The tooth pulling did not even hurt! That's the best part!

Negative experience: This place is not to be trusted, I had implants put in couple years ago and have had nothing but issues. Now one of the implants has just fallen out. So waist of $10,000. Now they are telling me the implants are only good for a year. If you like your money and your teeth DO NOT TRUST THEM.

Fantastic experience: As someone who is extremely fearful of a dentist, Dr. Patel and Dr. Gaeta put me at ease. My surgery included upper teeth pulled, bone grafting and implantation of the abutment for my dental implants on the same day. Every staff member is so friendly and treat you like family. BEST DENTIST OFFICE HANDS DOWN.

Fantastic experience: Ingrid is excellent. The first time in my life I didn't have pain or be gagging with X-rays. But she's from the north and they know what they are doing.

Negative experience: Nice people, really sweet and kind DDS, but the most unprofessional office I've ever had work done in. Every visit lasts an eternity because they overbook. They have changed surgeons and dentists more than any office I have seen in my 50 years of visiting a dentist. Even the office manager is different again, and apparently the one no longer there didn't write down any of our agreed arrangements on my implant before she left, leaving me with the new one telling me I have a balance, that I shouldn't owe. And won't let the DDS finish the crown she already started until I pay it. Yet they have not even put the initial charges through to my insurance for them to pay their 80%. When this work is finally done, I will never come back, and may have to finish the crown work someplace else. Next stop, BBB and ADA. I am mad at myself for ever coming here.

Fantastic experience: Amazing staff is patient kind and patient! Everything is extremely clean and well organized. Dentist was phenomenal and explained everything in a way my teenager and I Understood!

Fantastic experience: Have only been twice so far but the staff are all very friendly. The hygienist was very caring and gentle. The doctor I absolutely love. She made me feel very much at ease and if you’re like me that means a lot.
