Positive experience: The dentist and the person that cleaned my teeth were great and professional. The down side I was in the office for over 3 hours for a cleaning and fillings. I waited for the dentist over 45 minutes and 30 minutes to check out. This has never been a problem before. I hope it was a one time problem.

From the moment I walked in, the front office staff was welcoming and professional. The dental hygienist was incredibly kind, took the time to answer all of my questions, and made me feel completely at ease. I truly felt that he cared about my comfort and concerns. The Doctor was equally impressive—friendly, genuine, respectful, and attentive. He thoroughly answered my questions and showed sincere care throughout my visit. Fantastic experience: I've undergone two surgical procedures at Dental Associates of McAllen. I'm very satisfied with the results. I highly recommend the staff for they were very concerned for my safety. Amanda seems to be the one with the most experience, Monica left my teeth feeling super clean, and Sofie made me a delicious and "much needed" cup of coffee. Thank you Ladies!

Negative experience: Although everyone was very nice and patient during my appointment, I needed an answer as to whether or not one of my teeth (which is broken) can be fixed in the same procedure as my cleaning since it would under anesthesia. I just need an answer and total cost.

Positive experience: It was a good experience with hygienist Chris, even though I didn't get a goodie bag with toothbrush floss toothpaste and mouthwash to go with my visit. but now I'm confused getting a phone call 3 hours later that I have to go back the following day for another cleaning and more x-rays. Fantastic experience: I gave you guys 5 stars the last time. This time you get none. I had a procedure today 8-20-2025 to get a crown removed because it is bad. Didn't know if it was going to be pulled or cut out. Was nervous all night so didn't sleep well. They called me an hour before my appointment, sending me to Edinburgh to get the work done . Told me they would take me at 11 right away.When I got there then told me that the Dr had other patients and take longer, wasn't gonna take longer waiting. not knowing what time I would get out or what meds I woul need.

Negative experience: I was somewhat disappointed. I took my mom who happens to be disabled (wheelchair) to get her consultation today. We arrived on time and waited for 30 minutes which I expected. I told my mom just a bit longer and we would go in soon. After about 40 minutes, the receptionist called us up and told us that the doctor had seen her notes from the dentist and had given his evaluation. I was like what? So we don’t even get to see the doctor ? We had other questions and wanted other options for what she needed done. The lady went over the numbers and wanted to set up a date and we said not today. I don’t think we are coming back, especially to a doctor that doesn’t have the time to see a patient.

Negative experience: The hygienist is awesome and light with her hands and took care of my Mom. The doctors worked with us when it came to payments they weirdly charge you before they even do a service on you which I reported to Medicare who said that's illegal. Clean facility and they communicate with the patient with follow ups and appointments. We changed dentist after being wrongfully charged and they wouldn't refund our money and made excuses why they won't refund.

Negative experience: Today was our 3rd trip to this dentist to have some work done for my wife. They placed 2 temporary crowns on our 2 previous visits, they both fell off with in the same days. We were scheduled for the permanent ones to be worked on today. Our appointment was at 1. We arrived early and she wasn't called in immediately. I asked the girls in the front on h9w much longer the wait was. Almost an hour later and still no answer. I finally asked what the hol up was. No one knew what was going on or what we were there for. We had gotten a phone call to confirm the work that was to he done. We wasted almost.ost 3 hour waiting in the lobby. The permanent crowns were not even ready. The girls in the front office tend to ignore the patients that wait by the front window that have questions. I hope they really get their act together. I can't give them 0 stars, by I definitely would after today's fiasco.

Fantastic experience: Like most people, I hate going to the dentist and honestly avoided it for years. I finally gathered the nerve to hit up Dental Associates of McAllen and let me tell you…Dr. Herrera was AMAZING!!! He made me feel welcomed, comfortable, and was honestly the best dentist I’ve ever been to. He was patient, knowledgeable and I never felt like he was BS’ing me. Hospitality goes a long way and Dr. Herrera made me feel at home. I have recommended him to my mother, father, siblings and even colleagues!! Hit him up yall, you will not be disappointed!!!!

Prices were also better than I expected and was very n and out with minimal wait time even though I went late on a Friday with no appointment. Excellent customer service.

Negative experience: Find another place to go they dont want your business. I was suppose to be there for a consultation, but ended up sitting there for an hour and half. The doctor never spoke to me, then I was told they were having problems contacting my insurance. For what I don't know, cause we didn't even plan out a surgery. I wasn't the only one there that was fed up with the situation. There was a lady that had been there waiting for 45 minutes and she got up and let them have it then stormed out. Needless to say don't waste your time with them go somewhere else. I would rather give them zero stars but the couch I took a nap on was comfortable.

Fantastic experience: This visit, 04/30, was thorough as surgeon explained why they had to undo my implant. Technician Amada was also helpful telling me the reasons behind the need to undo the implant and the procedure to have it done and the post ops. The wait time was not as bad as other times. Thanks

Negative experience: I made the appointment to get my denture fixed. This was explained when the appointment was made. I had to come on a Thursday because that's when the technician was there. I paid $189.00 when I checked in. I was told I needed xrays and checkup. I explained (again) I only needed my denture fixed. I was told they couldn't do that but could make me a new denture. I'm a patient of Dental Associates in Fond du Lac, WI and have NEVER gone through gone thru such a waste of time and money as I did today.

Fantastic experience: i was so scared to get my wisdom teeth out, but they made me feel comfortable and calm. the procedure only took about 40 minutes, and 11 hrs later, I only have very mild pain. 10/10 would recommend.

Fantastic experience: I searched & searched for a new dentist. I’d seen Dr AC Villarreal in commercials; however, I hesitated about making him my new dentist. Long story short; I’ve been to his office three times & I’ll tell you I’m so pleased with the attention he’s given me as a new patient. Oh and his staff is awesome mind you I’ve been to both locations (Edinburg & McAllen) and they are all very pleasant. I’ve yet to encounter an unpleasant staff member. I will definitely be recommending him to my family, friend's & coworkers ….

Negative experience: Both the X Ray assistants were excellent, front desk receptionist was great and helpful. Dr Chapa was great also. Your dental hygienist really rubbed me the wrong way. He insinuated I had lots of plaque and lots of bone loss and stated I need a deep cleaning, I have never had a deep clean in over 65 years and I did not see any calculus on the X-Rays. I wanted an appointment to fix my broken fillings, I didn’t go there for a deep cleaning.

She left nothing out and was very detailed and answered my questions. Felt very confident and comfortable with getting my procedure done here. True to Tatiana’s word the procedure went exactly the way she explained it. There were no complications at all. Thank you Tatiana!!

Negative experience: The visit to the McAllen office was only to find out the cost of what the Edinburg office claimed I needed done. Both offices were very polite. However I feel I was steered in the wrong direction from Dr. Castillo. Which would have been the loss of an existing bridge. I got a second opinion and they saved the tooth and the bridge. Not to mention big bucks.

Negative experience: Zero stars. If you want to be lied to, cancelled on the same day as an appointment, constantly rescheduled, told to come back and miss work but then told they will not help you, and eventually called a liar, come to this office. If you need implants or dental surgery, please stay away from this place. They will refer you to their McAllen office on Nolana which is a joke. I opted to get sedation and it was the worst mistake ever. It obviously wasn't enough and I woke up in the middle of surgery. I couldn't see or remember moving, but I could hear, and I do remember crying and yelling that it hurts and I could hear staff say "she's awake" next thing I knew it was over and I was being shoved out the door. After they reviewed the tape (that they refuse to let me see) someone called back and said that I was "very emotional" but didn't wake up... Wtvr. The woman dental surgeon is just awful, has no bedside manner. I spoke with the financial girl in the office (who is the worst listener in the world) for my 2nd implant. I asked not to go to the McAllen office. She asked why of course, and I explained all the scheduling issues, the rude people, and the loud dance club music at the McAllen office, but for whatever reason she took that to mean that I did not like the foam material and the way that they did my 1st mold?? So she took it upon herself to schedule me for a digital scan instead of an actual physical mold for my front tooth "flipper". No one explained to me what a flipper was, how this thing will impede the way you speak (I am required to speak very fast on the phone all day long for work). On the day they ripped out my front tooth, the flipper that was digitally scanned and made for me by some outsourced lab was way too big and did not fit me properly. They shoved this too big flipper into the space between my teeth pushing my existing teeth so far apart and causing horrible pain. I came in the next Tuesday so that a technician could try to refit the flipper. I overheard him saying to someone else that he doesn't know why they send them to this lab, he doesn't know why they bother doing these digital scans... HE told me to come back in 3 weeks so that he could make me another one that fits correctly. That appointment was yesterday. I came into the office happy thinking that I was going to get something that actually fit, but this same man looks at me for a total of 10 seconds leaves the room and then tells other office staff that he's not going to make anything for me and that by his account it looks fine. He didn't ask me any questions, I wasn't able to tell him how it fits, how it cuts into my gums, how I can't talk right without massive headaches, but he just told someone else to tell me he will not make another one. He's the one who told me to come back in 3 weeks! Then surgeon assist girl came in the room and told me that I was the one who requested a scan instead of the actual mold. I told her that was absolutely not true, that the Edinburg office financial woman took it upon herself to schedule this and took my grievances about the way they run the McAllen office as "I don't like molds". This is her fault for not listening, for not caring, and for making her own decisions on MY dental care. Surgeon asst girl told me the reason that they scheduled a scan instead of a mold is because I was yelling and screaming during my other mold which was an absolute lie. I asked her is this the Twilight zone? Are you kidding me? The only time I ever screamed and cried in this office was when they "put me under" for surgery. Please stay away from this dentist and give your hard earned money to an office that deserves it and actually cares about you and your time, not just their image online and their money. I can't believe they would treat a paying patient with such disdain and disrespect. I'm now going to be in pain and having headaches wearing this flipper for the next 4 months until I get my crown delivered and I will NEVER return. I'm devastated and disappointed, Dr Villarreal should be ashamed that this has happened.

Negative experience: I went in today I had dental implants but on my right side there were 3 screws and one on the left I got home and now I have only 2 screws on my right I need to check if this is correct
