Negative experience: BEWARE - This office provided me a quote for thousands of dollars that was not necessary THEN lied and made up excuses for it saying every doctor has their own opinion towards your options but will not tell you that upfront. So if you come here just know there are other options, options you want but they will only push the most complicated AND most expensive ones! Never stepping foot here again!

Fantastic experience: Going to the dentist, not on my summer book list. However, my hygenist is THE best at putting me at ease. Highly recommend!

I was a little disappointed to find out that I’ll need more work before I can get my dentures, but that’s not their fault that’s mine and we’ll go from there. I just want my smile back, instead of my teeth looking like a picket fence.. Ha ha ha ha ha Thank you, Sage

Negative experience: My family and I have been patients at this Sage for years, but the quality of care and service has significantly declined. We avoided returning for a few years and only recently gave them another chance, which we now regret. While staff are initially friendly, they become rude, dismissive, and argumentative when concerns are raised with their work or billing. The only person without an attitude is the hygienist. Calls and voicemails often go unanswered, and interactions frequently end unprofessionally. Complaints about their dental work are dismissed and instead of re-examining concerns, staff argue over the phone and don't reassess completed work. Recent issues with their dental work highlights poor quality and lack of accountability. When I reported the issues, the receptionist did not offer to have me return for it to be evaluated. Instead repeatedly placed me on hold while “consulting” with the dentist. They misrepresented my concern, were argumentative and accusatory as if I was lying about the reported issues. They insisted that a gap between teeth and pressure sensitivity (that wasn’t there before) would resolve on its own. The call ended in no resolution, except me telling them I would call corporate. Additionally, I have a chipped tooth that the doctor argued with me about and refused to do anything for it. I have an aortic graft that puts me at extra risk if an infection were to occur, which they have little regard or concern for. They need to be reminded of pre-med requirements and never verify it’s been done before they do any work. Outside of those issues, at multiple appt’s the exam rooms are visibly unclean, with dust and hair around equipment and inside X-ray cabinets, raising serious sanitation concerns. A staff member agreed with the conditions, but deflected responsibility to the cleaning company. Appt’s are also overbooked, resulting in excessive wait times, sometimes over an hour, only to be told to reschedule, with little regard for patient time. Billing practices are equally concerning. After finding out I had an unexpected balance, I confirmed with my insurance company by phone that certain services performed during a general visit had coverage limits in place, something according to them the office would have seen when verifying benefits and providing our treatment plans. However, this was misrepresented upfront, then later shifted to me, putting it on my insurance as unexpectedly paying less. Not to mention I just found out they overcharged me for the recent work done with the unresolved issues too. I escalated this matter to corporate a week ago with no resolution as of today. I can no longer work with the office as they cannot be trusted and do not have people’s well being in mind. Just look online at Sage’s overall reputation and official complaints filed against them. Quite concerning.

Messages often go unanswered, and interactions frequently end without resolution. The overall care has been disappointing. Concerns about dental work are dismissed without proper evaluation, as staff often respond over the phone rather than having the patient return to be seen. The office itself is also visibly unclean, with dust and hair present around equipment and inside cabinets, which raises concerns about sanitation. When I pointed it out to a staff member they agreed in how dirty it was, however, deflected responsibility to the cleaning company for not doing their job. I am required to pre-medicate due to a heart graft, yet this critical safety step has repeatedly not been verified at appointments, which is concerning given the risk involved. Appointments are also routinely overbooked, leading to long wait times, sometimes over an hour, only to be told to reschedule, with little consideration for the patient’s time. Recent dental work further reflects these issues. A chipped tooth I specifically pointed out was dismissed despite visible damage, and necessary repairs were not completed. Additionally, a recent filling was done improperly, leaving a gap that traps food and causes pressure sensitivity. When I reported this, my concern was dismissed and not properly evaluated. The receptionist was consulting with the doctor as I held on the line to come back and relay a response that was not relevant to my main complaint, then spoke over me and instead decided to tell me it would resolve on its own without allowing or offering an in person appointment to actually look at and address my concern. No other fillings I have in between teeth have this type of gap. Billing has also been a major concern. After speaking directly with my insurance company, I was informed that certain services performed were not covered and that this would have been identifiable during the benefit verification and estimate process. Despite this, those services were still presented and completed, resulting in unexpected out-of-pocket costs. When questioned, only partial adjustments were offered, which did not resolve the underlying issue. Overall, this practice has shown a pattern of poor communication, lack of follow-through, and disregard for patient concerns and safety. I have escalated my concerns to corporate offices and would encourage others to carefully consider their options before proceeding with treatment here. Also, a simple internet search will show details about the history of official reports of the same.

Negative experience: Very surprised at the 5 star reviews. This place is a scam center. I went in for a first time evaluation and cleaning, as I had switched insurance and this location was covered. They tell me I have early stage periodontitis and need scaling and some other crap. They come with a bill of $3000+ after insurance. I laughed and walked out. Later found a small, family owned dentist office. Was diagnosed with gingivitis, given a cleaning, and some special mouthwash, $125. Make no mistake, this is a big corp with a bottom line to hit. They will upsell you. They will tell you need things that you don’t need. Go somewhere else, find a place you can actually trust.

Negative experience: Please make sure you double or even emphasize that YOU are the one that dictates dental care as the patient and NOT the other way around! I selected this dental office via Zocdoc and even ensured to mention I was going specifically for crown care because I had it come off a week ago. I completed all the paperwork and whatnot, and nowhere did they say they needed additional dental information or an evaluation of any sorts, so when I arrived, I thought they understood that I needed crown work. That was not the case, hence this review. They told me they had to “evaluate” my mouth today and then I had to schedule another appointment to do the crown work. Do not recommend.

Negative experience: This place has been contributing to my overall distrust and fear of dental offices. The girls at the front desk are really nice, but It’s been one weird problem after another here and now they don’t even have someone who can preform removals with sedation. Have to go to another office for that. So not really all under one roof like their website likes to advertise. Only found that out after I showed up for my extraction appointment that I took pto for. So wasted money, time, and my precious pto vacation time that I’ll now not get to take because I have to take more pto to do the wisdom teeth removal that they refused to do that day. Honestly. Go find a different dentist. They also have tool boxes on the floor throughout the hallways? Which felt weird…

Positive experience: First time there. Dr. was very late and no one kept me in the loop as to why. Everyone was nice and so was the Dr However for a 9 am consult I wasn't out until after 11. I hope my next visit is better.

Fantastic experience: Awesome experience today with the Sage staff at this particular location. I experienced exceptional patient care. They are knowledgeable and clear with all information provided. Negative experience: I have had the same insurance my entire life and have never paid a dollar to have my teeth routinely cleaned. They first had someone take my x rays, then had another person sit down and “measure” my gums while stabbing them so hard she made me bleed. Next, they had another person sit down and sort of look and poke maybe two times. She said I had two cavities. I have never had a cavity in my entire life. They had the lady who did my x rays (which I also had to pay for and I never have in my life) tell me that I needed a deeper clean and I needed the gingivitis cleaning. They said for two filling and my gingivitis cleaning it would be $457 out of pocket for me. I questioned why I was needing to pay all this money when I technically have two insurances for my teeth right now. I told them if I had to pay that I was not getting it done. The lady who did my x rays said she would go check with my insurance. She never came back. The lady at the front counter essentially came and said I had to pay that and if I didn’t want to she would escort me out. So I walked out. I will never be going back there. That was the most unprofessional practice I have ever been to.

Fantastic experience: Friendly and efficient staff. They explain your treatment plan, financial responsibility and options very well. I've always had a quick and good experience with their staff. I love this place! The staff is so welcoming and they are prepared and ready to go basically when you arrive, especially if they aren't busy. My hygienist is very nice and efficient. She got me in and out yesterday with a thorough cleaning and exam in under 30 minutes. The dentist came in at the end and confirmed her work quickly. My hygienist even scheduled my next checkup while I was still in the chair so I could just get up and walk right out when they were through instead of waiting at the front desk to schedule.

Negative experience: Front end staff were lovely! 1st and last time I come to this Dental office. Generally the whole experience wasn’t great! The doctor was in a rush and did not felt appreciated.

Positive experience: I had an overall positive experience at Sage Dental. The front desk staff was excellent very friendly, helpful, and flexible with scheduling. I also appreciated the variety of payment options, which made the process much easier. The dentist was great as well professional, communicative, and made sure I was informed and comfortable throughout the procedure. The only downside was my interaction with the dental assistant. The experience felt a bit cold, and at times it seemed like she was bothered. At the end of the visit, the interaction felt rushed there wasn’t much in the way of courtesy or a simple “thank you” or “have a nice day,” which would have gone a long way. Overall, a good experience with a few areas for improvement, particularly around consistency in patient interaction.

Fantastic experience: First off my first time there was in 2020. Simple tooth extraction. Over paid, according to them my charge was with insurance. I questioned it still. Called my insurance and they never even got a claim. I went back for a follow up and brought it to their attention. Then after much attitude it was admitted I was over charged at due a refund after insurance paid. It was never resolved and with the treatment I got I let it go and stopped going for awhile. Now after a few years Omg!! I don't know what happened but my experience today was great. I saw all new faces and everyone had great attitudes, they were helpful, my treatment plan was well detailed with no transparency and every treatment was well explained. I asked questions and DID NOT get attitude I got answers with a smile. What a very big pleasant surprise. I was looking for a new dentist to use after this visit but after being treated like a valued patient with care I am rethinking that. These new faces were great and I so appreciated the care they gave. Thank you to them.

Negative experience: Very friendly employees but my health insurance called to inquire about a charge that was'nt discussed with me and they advised my insurance that something was discussed with me before the extraction. The only thing we spoke of was an extraction I got billed for a bone implant when I never agreed to it especially if I knew I was never getting implants for my missing tooth. That is extremely disturbing and inaccurate information. The fact that sage dental told my insurance company that the bone implant was discussed with me when that was not discussed is disappointing. It becomes a case of your word over mine its unprofessional

Negative experience: Worst doctor more interested on the billing side than the wellbeing of the patients .won't be going back not even for the minimum

Negative experience: I had an issue where I was told that I had a zirconia crown installed. In order to fit the crown, the dentist shaved the crown down and exposed a dark discoloration which prompted me to seek a second opinion to determine what material had actually been installed. This second opinion confirmed that it was actually PFM and not zirconia. Before, during, and after the installation I was told multiple times by multiple staff (in person and over the office phone) that I was going to/had received a zirconia crown when this was not the case. I was not ever informed that this crown was PFM until I had to return to the office specifically to question the material of the crown after I had paid for the second opinion confirming that it was not zirconia. Blatant misrepresentations of what is being installed into a patient's body is insane. Run from this office, they are a scam at best and disturbingly unethical at worst. It is insane to treat people in this way as healthcare professionals. It is a shameful practice on so many levels and people need to be aware of this.

Fantastic experience: I had a great experience, everyone from the front office staff, hygienist, the tech that took our X-rays, the doctor were super nice, professional and friendly. My hygienist was nice, friendly and did a great job with my daughter and myself. I definitely recommend this office.

Fantastic experience: I've been seeing, Sandy, the same dental hygienist for years. Sandy is very calming and my teeth always feel so clean after. I don't particularly like going to the dentist, but makes all the difference to see the same friendly faces. I just met the new dentist and she was gentle with check up, as well. Negative experience: Awesome professionals! My appointments have been pain and stress-free. Would highly recommend! *I feel compelled to edit this review. BEWARE of Sage Dental Practices and their "deep cleanings". My sister warned me after I was suckered into one by their predatory and aggressive marketing techniques, that, after receiving one, she developed a SEVERE jaw bone infection that her private practice dentist told her was due to the way the dental hygienist dug into around her teeth and gums during the "deep cleaning". She was also told that NO OTHER dental practices encouraged their patients to receive "deep" cleanings and that traditional dental cleanings performed every 6 months were not only adequate but what is recommended by the American Dental Association. I thank God that I was blessed enough not to develop any adverse reactions to this procedure. I deeply regret that I fell for their pushy marketing techniques and spent money that I couldn't afford on this procedure. I unfortunately didn't even begin to find anything suspicious until AFTER the procedure when my normally great dental insurance refused to cover most of the cost. Besides my sister's warning, my second clue was the repeated and excessive phone calls from them, "reminding" me that I needed to make an appointment, even AFTER being told REPEATEDLY that I no longer wished to receive my dental care from them.

Today I had a great experience. Wonderful staff! From the front desk to the hygienist, assistants and dentist! Very Informative, they answered all my detailed questions and reassured me about my treatment plan. I am looking forward to returning!!

Negative experience: the absolute worst dentist i have ever been to. my appointment was at 11AM, I saw the dentist at 11:40. there was a claim they submitted LAST YEAR that kept getting denied by my insurance. I call at least once a week to follow up on the claim since they said they will fight it and no one EVER calls me back. today was my last visit & I will be calling their corporate office.

Negative experience: I came in for a post-op appointment due to severe pain following surgery. The surgeon barely looked in my mouth before quickly dismissing my concerns and telling me I was "fine." Due to the severity of my symptoms, I specifically asked about the possibility of infection or dry socket, but my concerns were brushed off without a proper examination. The next day my pain had not subsided at all, so I went to urgent care—where I was diagnosed with a severe oral infection. If the surgeon had taken the time to thoroughly examine me, this could have been caught and treated sooner. I’m grateful I trusted my instincts and sought care elsewhere; otherwise, the infection could have escalated dangerously. I posted a one star review to the Winter Park location following my surgery (surgeon was 3 hours late, had no equipment prepared, dirty room, feel free to read the details from the full review posted May 16th) and I received a reply to send my feedback to an email to discuss it further. I sent an email over 2 weeks ago explaining the medical negligence I experienced and never heard back. Maybe posting about it publicly for their customers to see will get them to care. Avoid Sage Dental at all costs.

Fantastic experience: I had to come in for an emergency extraction and the dentist was so kind, gentle, she took her time and walked me through everything. The assistant was good also, she was very helpful with me. The front office staff was very nice. An overall very good experience and atmosphere. Thank you Sage Dental!

Negative experience: Was scheduled for my first appointment today, June 3 when I got to my appointment was told that they had to reschedule my appointment. Receptionist insisted that she called me five times and that I picked up and hung up on her to find out when I spoke with the manager that h had the wrong phone number. But not ones did they looked at my new patient forms that was filled out online to verify my phone number. They had my email information which they could’ve also emailed me to contact them to reschedule. My appointment can start a business when there’s no communication.

Negative experience: I highly highly recommend not going to this place, they charge you extra after you and your insurance paid it in full, they charged me on on one bill a year later, my insurance argued and argued several times with them on why they kept charging me when everything was covered, the girls in front never had an answer, obviously I stopped going, also speaking to some of my neighbors it looks like they are really really fleecing the seniors

Fantastic experience: Today was the first time I had Yvonda (not sure I have the name correct ) and I will tell you she is the best dental hygienist that I’ve ever had. She was very thorough and gave me several things that I could do to help improve my dental health. I hope that I always get her when I come to Sage.

Negative experience: Not really sure how to rate it. My previous dentist suggested I get root canal so I did. The place that did root canal said to get a dentist and make sure I get a permanent filling in the area of root canal as they placed a temp filling. So yesterday I go they X-ray it since I’m new and said the temp filling is gone no need for a permanent filling? So what do I do if it comes out? I dont understand why they would not fill it with permanent filling. I find the dental care here in Florida very lacking in quality care, all they want to do is up sell you on dental implants. Are there no regular dentists anymore? So I said pull it then and they declined to.

Positive experience: Sandy is the most thorough hygienist I’ve ever had. She genuinely cares about the health of your gums!! Front Desk is my reason for not giving 5 stars because it was an inconvenience to be told at your visit that you need to speak with your new insurance dental carrier to have the dentist added as your provider. I spoke to the front desk staff numerous times to ensure they had my new dental insurance and asked them to make sure to call me ahead of my appointment if I need to complete any additional actions. I guess to some it’s a minor error in communication but when your primary job function is to make sure there aren’t any hick ups in a patient’s billing that is a major drop of the ball!! While the front desk girls are nice they must do a better job when it comes to communicating with patients prior to their appointment!!

Negative experience: Dr. A was great and the exam was fine. However, I was told I need a deep cleaning and it would be $800 after my insurance. I declined the treatment for the time being so I could get a second opinion, but the dental assistant basically forced me to sign a document saying I consented to the treatment and told me it was just “saying that I was informed of the treatment” and would not let me skip signing, even though the document stated that I consented to receiving the treatment itself. I left feeling like I had been forced into signing for something that I stated that I did not want to do for now. Be aware of all forms this office makes you sign, as it seems they’re relying on people to just sign without reading the terms which is scummy.

Fantastic experience: very happy and did an amazing job . Dr. A was so gentle and explained everything that he was going to do before the procedure.He and his assistant was wonderful around the whole process. I look forward to continuing going there and him being my new dentist.

Negative experience: This location told me I had 18 cavities that all needed to be filled some of them previous cavities that needed to be redrilled and refilled. They also told me I needed 4 deep cleaning treatments. All in all with my insurance it was going to cost out of pocket over $4,000. I paid my tab for the initial consultation and chose not to have any of the work done and seek a second opinion. It has been 8 months since I visited Sage dental and just started receiving text email and phone calls that I owe them $57. I have since gone to a new dentist to which he has stated I have no cavities and a deep cleaning is necessary but not 4. I would never recommend Sage dental to anyone. The simple fact that they are just looking to make the most money and not do what is best for their patients. I hope this helps you to decide not to chose this practice.

Negative experience: The first dental assistant could not speak clear English and I had no idea what he was saying. He seemed confused and made me uncomfortable , and I expressed that. I had to get an explanation from someone else. The first dental assistant applied my temp crown and it was fine. The second dental assistant applied my second temp crown and it broke in a couple days eating soft bread, and it left a sharp edge cutting into the tongue for days when I called Monday they said they could get me in on Wednesday and I had to demand to be seen same day as it was causing me pain from something they applied. My last perm crown I could not floss in between and just went to someone in my family to have them clear it. I didn’t want go back in that office. I had to miss one appointment and called the morning of and the receptionist said in a condescending tone that’ll cost me $50 and I said I’m sick and had to speak with the manager to not be charged. God forbid you wake up with a sore throat. I thought not spreading illness was a good thing! The front desk always seemed confused on my departure since my entire bill was paid in advance, and I would end up standing there while they figured that out which was strange. It’s already paid! Also, took them over a month to refund for my last appointment that I rejected bc I didn’t want to deal with them anymore. I had to keep calling to figure out where my funds were. There is one receptionist there named Ebony who is so sweet and personable- helpful and considerate. The manager did not seem very caring. I didn’t have a pleasant experience in this office all the way around with the exception one good dental assistant and one good hygienist and Ebony at the front desk. Going there was a negative experience and caused me to change my dental insurance in order to upgrade to a better dentist that doesn’t belong to a chain of offices. I do not recommend.

Negative experience: This office is extremely untrustworthy. They gave my wife false receipts, which they asked her to sign. When she asked for clarification, they stated that the bill was inaccurate but they wanted it signed anyway. They also said they billed insurance, but the claim never showed up. As a result, they asked us to pay a second time. This second bill showed up three months after the date of service, when they informed us it was overdue. They also performed services we asked them not to perform and then billed us (and allegedly insurance) for them. It is extremely confusing to talk with them due to disorganization, but there is also a culture of misbilling and falsifying bills that the patient is asked to sign. Please stay away - this has been a very expensive headache to deal with for a single cleaning (which they did not perform!)

Negative experience: Appointment was at 9. Received a call from a No Caller ID that was Sage Dental, couldn’t call the number back. Then received a text asking me to come in at 9:30. Didn’t get seen until I complained after waiting for an extra 45 minutes. I have never been to a dentist where the cleaning did not take place in the same appointment as the x rays. Was told I will have to come in at a different time as the hygienist was busy. Pretty inconvenient. Office is very chaotic, they overbook themselves…

Positive experience: Today was my first visit to Oviedo location. Front office staff was very good. X-rays and dental exam completed professionally and timely. I expected to have hygienist cleaning today but was told I’d have to wait 1.5 hours for her be available. I had no time for that delay today so no choice but to make another appt in a week. My time is valuable too. This first experience was an unexpected inconvenience. Unfortunate that we patients do not always know what questions to ask about the scheduling of our care.

Fantastic experience: Very great place. Friendly staff, Lindsay was lovely and took great care of me. Dr. Pal very knowledgeable and Sandy the hygienist is the absolute best and made me feel very comfortable!

Fantastic experience: Excellent experience for fitting a new crown . The nurse assistant was very professional and pleasant. Dr.Pal was superb as always.

Fantastic experience: Sage Dental is amazing. The people that work here are so nice & professional. It was storming & the receptionist even gave me her own personal umbrella so my son & I could get to our car. We are even getting my sons braces through them because we like them so much!

Fantastic experience: Absolutely incredible staff and doctors! Dr Valencia has amazing bedside manner and skills. The other Doctor at the Oviedo location was so friendly and helpful. She fit me in for a last min fix. I love them all! Best place with amazing people!

Fantastic experience: As a 1st time patient, I did have a unique experience meeting the front staff, Abony , Floor Manager Edsa , backend: Carlos X RAY tech & hygienist , to top it all Dr A . They all seemed courteous , friendly , respectful & professional . I am referring my wife to them and would recommend them to all of my friends as well .

Negative experience: Extremely incompetent. Services not provided after approximately 4 months. One excuse after another. Would never recommend. Called corporate and did not receive a response from them after I left a message.

Negative experience: All Sage Dental wanted to do is put on crowns and do a root canal. They wouldn't fill a small hole in the back of my front tooth. Nope you need a crown..NOT Of course I changed to a different dental company and guess what? I didn't need a crown, just a small filling.

Positive experience: Front office staff and dental technicians are professional and courteous. Appointment wait time is minimum.

Negative experience: This place should be put out of business! Scammers!!!!!! I took my 15years old son for 2 filing and check up! I came out with $18,000 bill that’s cash price!!! I was shocked!!!! Stay all from this place!!! Please!
