Fantastic experience: Why isn’t there an option for more than 5 stars? This office, the team including admin, hygienists, and the Dr.’s are exemplary and set a new gold standard for pediatric care. They are magical, stress free and turn every appointment to a joyful visit that waiting 6 months is too long for the next visit. This practice is unlike an anything and where kids are all welcome, seen, personalized touch and have just an overall EXPERIENCE! My kids don’t want to leave, are excited to go visit and want appointments more often. That should tell you what it’s like at Castle Pediatric Dentistry. She’s a local hero and known by all. Fantastic experience: After a bad experience at another dental office, we brought our daughter to Dr. Castellucci and couldn’t be happier that we did. Dr. Castellucci and her entire staff have done an outstanding job making my daughter feel comfortable and at ease during every visit. They’re patient, kind, and genuinely great with kids. Fantastic experience: Dr. Keren is the bestttt!! She has been consistently kind and upbeat with the kids over the years. She also spends the time to explain everything really well for both the kids and parents alike. She’s conservative with treatment when the situation calls for it, but isn’t hesitant to intervene before small problems become big ones. Staff is always kind and friendly and the dental assistants really spent a lot of time being meticulous with their polish and floss. We absolutely love Castle pediatric! Thank you all!

Negative experience: I had an overall negative experience at this clinic. We were told she had two cavities that were beginning to get into the second layer of her teeth, and fillings were recommended. I was warned they would see how much she tolerated with nitrous gas and the anesthetic. We scheduled the filling and came in. She did great with the nitrous gas mask and the injection. Then the dentist tried twice to insert a piece (the mermaid fin) to hold her mouth open and keep it dry. She gagged each time, and the dentist decided not to proceed further. The time she tried was very short. I do not understand why this piece was not tried in her mouth before they gave her nitrous gas and the injection. She is only 4 years old. The piece was very large, perhaps 4 inches by 2 inches at its widest and longest parts, folded in half essentially and placed in her mouth. It was a bendy, soft piece but large. I am not surprised it made her gag. I am a physician and still cannot understand why this was not tried before administering medications that she did not end up requiring. I understand that the nitrous could make her less anxious or potentially more tolerant of having this piece in her mouth, but this seemed to be a gag reflex issue. I wonder if they would have seen her gag reflex if they would have proceeded. She also tolerated this other piece they used earlier to hold her mouth open and the suctioning wand, but this was not offered. IV sedation with a CRNA or anesthesiologist was then recommended for these 2 cavities that are just entering the second layer of the teeth in my daughter who just turned 4. I refused and requested to wait but was understandably told that it could get much worse and then she would need a cap or bigger metal filling. This made me feel terrible in the moment and stuck between a rock and a hard place - to take a risk I personally don't feel comfortable with or risk her cavities worsening. I wish there were other options than to just wait with the fluoride treatment or do IV sedation. I wondered to myself if there were other ways to keep her mouth open and dry for the fillings that another dentist would be willing to try. I was then charged for the nitrous gas that ended up not being necessary and the full course of fluoride treatment even though only the first application was put on her affected teeth. The initial bill was higher than quoted by about 70 dollars. They were not going to charge me this, and there was an explanation; however, when I showed up for the filling appointment, they asked me to sign it without explaining why the number was higher than I was told to pay at the first visit. The discrepancy should have been explained before handing me the tablet to sign. This issue with the estimate and being charged for the nitrous gas was not as big of deal compared to the experience with the attempted filling. I debated writing this review. I felt bad for my daughter all day yesterday and woke up again upset over this experience. Update: I spoke with my brother who is a dentist and showed him her X-rays. He states he would not drill these two teeth (ie he would not recommend fillings). He states he sees images like this all the time that do not grow/worsen. He would recommend repeat imaging in 4-6 months. He would definitively not recommend IV sedation. He would not take that risk given all the factors of this case (age, asymptomatic, the imaging). He told me to go to a different dentist. He said the interpretation and recommendations are embarrassing that I received. He showed his colleague who agreed and had harsher words about the recommended plan. Based on my experience, this is not a clinic that will recommend conservative options. I feel an unnecessary risk to my daughter’s health was recommended.

Fantastic experience: Dr. Keren is great with kids, thorough and knowledgeable. My daughter had alot of challenging issues with her teeth and dealt with fear. Castle Pediatrics was so patient, positive and encouraging to help her overcome those fears. Im happy I found a dentist and staff I can trust.

Fantastic experience: The absolute best pediatric dentistry we’ve been to. We were going to a general dentist office with our daughter in Deland before this & I wish we would’ve came sooner. They really made the whole experience so welcoming & positive for my daughter. She's 9 year olds & has cavities but Keren did not make her feel bad about it at all. She actually explained that she is just easily prone to cavities but gave such a great explanation on how we can work to keep them healthy. It was easy enough to understand but also impactful because it’s been a week since we last saw her & my daughter is doing all the things that she mentioned. Although we are treating 1 cavity soon , we are also working on reversing a potential cavity that was found as well , which we never heard a dentist offer as a treatment plan before. We will definitely keep coming here. Beyond amazing. I would recommend to every parent !!

Fantastic experience: We absolutely love Castle Pediatric Dentistry and Dr. Keren Castellucci! From the moment you walk in, the entire staff (from the front office team to the hygienists) makes you feel welcome and at ease. Everyone is genuinely kind and warm, which makes such a difference when you're bringing kids to the dentist. Dr. Castellucci is the perfect pediatric dentist. She has a natural way with children, fun, friendly, and great at keeping them calm and comfortable, but she's also incredibly knowledgeable and proactive when it comes to their dental health. She caught an issue with my youngest early and recommended we see an ortho about braces before it became a serious problem. Turns out he was at risk of damaging his permanent teeth, so getting ahead of it has been such a relief. I'm so grateful she was paying attention and didn't take a "wait and see" approach. The office itself is always spotless, and we've never had to sit in the waiting room for long. Scheduling is easy and the whole experience is consistently smooth and stress-free. We've trusted Dr. Castellucci and couldn't recommend her more highly!

His teeth need a lot of work, but no one lectured him or made him feel bad for having sensory issues. I can’t put into words the stress I felt going into the appointment with my very energetic 2-year-old, but she and her team made the entire experience seamless. Their patience, kindness, and professionalism are unmatched. Truly the best pediatric dentist out there!

Negative experience: Unfortunately, our experience was not what most of the reviews said. The doctor is nice, but the dental assistant was overly dramatic, named a number of serious issues that she thought our son had and then added "well, I don't really know, I'm not a doctor". Thankfully, the doctor refuted it, but sitting with it and waiting for the doctor to come in was unnecessary stressful. I could go on, but if this place works for other families - that's great. I just know that we did not have a good experience/won't be back to this office and wanted to leave an honest review. Update: Dr. Castellucci - thank you for your prompt response. My Google account is under my maiden name, which is why it doesn't match your patient file. My husband received a call from your office when we returned from our overseas trip. As much as we enjoyed working with you, your dental assistant ruined it for us (I wish I took down her name, but I was too stressed and upset at how she handled our son to even think of it).

And a plus - even with all her patients she always remembers us and gives me a hug every time she sees me! We just love Dr Keren and tell everyone we know about her.

Fantastic experience: We saw Dr. Keren Castellucci, I cannon say enough nice things about her! She was warm and welcoming, has ab amazing way with kids. I took both my kids, 3 & 5 she made both of them feel like princesses and at ease with her presence! Even when my 3 year old inevitably had a meltdown, she was so accommodating and reassuring.

Fantastic experience: This was our first visit to the dentist. I was solo with 2 toddlers and the front desk said I couldn’t bring my wagon to the back because of space. I made it work but was really discouraged because I’ve always been able to squeeze in at all of our doctors and specialists appointments. Arden went above and beyond to turn my experience around when she saw how overwhelmed I was trying to juggle both kids without a place to put them down. She offered to help in so many ways that she absolutely didn’t have to, but that I so appreciated. As a first time mom, I will remember her kindness for a long while. Dr Karen was calm, patient and so dialed in to what toddlers enjoy. She sang songs from Frozen, had Ms Rachel playing on the ceiling and was so gentle and quick. The office was clean and super cute. What started as pretty overwhelming, ended up being great.

Fantastic experience: I highly recommend Dr. Keren Castellucci. Our appointments are with both kids together in one room. Dr Castellucci is funny and personable. She knows how to make connections with kids to put them at ease. Dr keeps up with the trends and knew how to connect with my teen. She is a special doctor. The dental assistant was also kind, gentle and caring. Have Winston the dog around is a huge bonus. Wish we started seeing her sooner. Five stars all around.

Fantastic experience: Our child was 7 years old at the time of his first dental visit with Dr. Castellucci, and I was a nervous mess. As soon as we got to the practice we were greeted warmly with smiles and the kids went over to the castle tents and began to play. The young lady at reception/phones is the sweetest! Then Michelle came to get us for the X-rays and dental cleaning. She was also sweet, personable, patient with all of our kids’ questions, and engaged with us and the kids making us feel completely comfortable and at ease. By the time Dr. Castellucci came, we felt like old friends. We found Dr. Castellucci to be professional, caring, fun, and very knowledgeable when addressing some of the concerns we had. Thankfully every tooth was in perfect health and the kids had a great time and loved their “presents” and Winston coming out to say “hello”! We’ve definitely found our dental home at Castle Pediatric Dentistry and I know you will too!

Fantastic experience: Wonderful experience! I came in with my almost 2 yo twins, more so for the practice of visiting the dentist. I planned on the minimum visit of speaking with the hygienist and maybe counting their teeth. Boy was I surprised- the staff went above and beyond to make myself and the twins feel comfortable during their visit. There was absolutely no sign of impatience when the babies fussed or got a little scared. Dr Castellucci and her staff were incredible. I would highly recommend this practice.

Fantastic experience: Terrific pediatric Dentist. Super impressed with our entire first-time experience. The office is immediately inviting and kid friendly with colorful decorations and cartoons playing in the lobby. The front office staff is polite and helpful. My daughter’s hygienist, Jenn, is a keeper for sure. She makes my daughter feel comfortable and is thorough about explaining everything she's doing while being funny, caring and very gentle. She's clearly an excellent professional who is well versed in working with children. Dr. Castellucci walks in and was the cherry on top. She's absolutely lovely making a connection with me and my daughter like she's known us for years. She makes it clear she cares about my daughter and after one visit, my daughter and I are hooked. Fantastic experience: I can’t not say enough great things about castle pediatric dentistry. The staff is always so sweet with my little ones that they never get nervous with them. Dr. Karen is the ABSOLUTE best. She has an amazing way of talking with the kids and explaining what’s happening. We even needed to have my 4 year old put under anesthesia so they could work on multiple teeth and the way made it not scary was everything to me as a mom. You can tell they are doing everything to make a good experience for the kids. The office is always clean and the tvs on the ceiling are a nice touch for the kids. My kids don’t mind the dentist at all and I wouldn’t take my kids anywhere else. I absolutely LOVE this place.

The care and attention given to both of my children during their dental visit was exceptional. What truly stood out was how the dentist and her staff catered to each child's unique needs, ensuring they felt comfortable and at ease throughout the entire session. They went above and beyond to alleviate any anxiety my kids had. My son is a big gamer and with that info the cleaning session turned into a “don’t wake the dragon and move on to the next level” game, making the experience truly amazing from beginning to end. Plus, the place is impeccably clean, & parking lot available, adding to the overall positive experience. Fantastic experience: The new patient registration was seamless and easy. Upon arrival the staff was amazing, and I thought it was so fun to see the staff dresses as superheroes. My children felt welcomed and it was an overall great experience. All insurance and out of pocket cost was discussed in the beginning, so no surprise expenses.

I arrived a few minutes early for my appointment and within less than 10 minutes, I was already being escorted to a room. This efficient and timely service was greatly appreciated, especially when dealing with young children who tend to get restless easily. I cannot praise Megan, the dental hygienist, enough for her incredible skills and demeanor. She engaged with my girls in such a delightful manner, making them feel comfortable and special. Her enthusiasm and genuine care for their well-being were evident throughout the entire visit. It was clear that she loves what she does and that passion translated into a positive experience for my children. Dr. Keren, the pediatric dentist, was an absolute delight. Her bright personality and welcoming nature instantly put us at ease. She took the time to explain everything in a way that we could easily understand, ensuring that we were fully informed about the procedures and any recommended treatments. Fantastic experience: Amazing pediatric dentist! Every experience we have had has been wonderful. The atmosphere is welcoming and colorful, the staff are all respectful and gracious. The kids loved the different tooth paste flavors available and the ability to watch TV when they are having their teeth cleaned. Dr Keren is amazing! she is so great with the kids, extremely sweet, and genuinely seems to love what she does.

Fantastic experience: Love love LOVE this office. Our last pediatric dentist was fine and nice enough, we had to switch for insurance purposes. This dentist is AMAZING. She explained everything in detail for me and had a wonderful interaction with my son from the moment she walked in the room. The hygienist was also super sweet and patient with my son. The receptionist was kind and helpful (an immediate positive for me as soon as I walked in the doors). It's a farther drive for us, but so worth it! I'm so glad I found this practice.

Fantastic experience: We have been using another well known pediatric dentist in Oviedo for 5 years. Our last visit there the Doctor acted as if he had used up about all of his patience with my 7yo daughter during a cleaning. Both my kids have anxiety,and need a lot of reassurance and time in the chair during cleanings. I came across a review for castle dentistry and thought it sounded like something special. We had our first cleaning today,we left with smiles,no tears and a relieved parent. The bonus was the office therapy dog,which couldn't have been a better fit for our autistic daughter. So thankful for this pediatric dentist.she is funny,kind and awsome

I was super nervous about how my kids would react, especially with one having a fear of dentists and the other dealing with dental issues. But from the moment I walked in, the welcoming environment, the amazing staff, and the short wait made me feel so relieved. The dental assistants were beyond amazing—so patient and sweet with my boys, helping them through their fears with such care. They created a fun and relaxed atmosphere that left my boys wanting to come back! And the dentist? She's hands down the best I've ever encountered! Not only was she incredibly sweet to the kids, but she also treated me and my husband with kindness, being supportive and providing a detailed dental plan for our kids without any judgment. This was hands down the BEST dental experience ever, and I'm absolutely thrilled to have found them!
