Fantastic experience: I've always had a wonderful experience both at Columbia Dental Care and Warmsprings Children's Dentistry which is also owned by Columbia Dental. My husband and I have been going here for years, and when our babies started getting teeth, it was a no brainer for us to have them seen here. They are quite responsive, and they have a great reminder system. Everyone I've dealt with seem to be very knowledgeable and actually care about my health as well as my children's health. Special shoutout to Dr. Jon (Jonathan) who is my daughter's favorite. She gets excited going to the dentist because he goes above and beyond to make it fun for her. His tone, his analogies, and the way he interacts with her is unmatched. So thank you so much, Dr. Jon! He also always takes the time to answer my many questions thoughtfully rather than dismissively. He also takes the time to explain the reason behind the answers so that I could get a better understanding, which I greatly appreciate. And extra points for the TV mounted on the ceiling, and the fun stuffed animals and sugar free lollies! Oh, and they also have legos, a toy kitchen with playfood, and dentist-related children's books in the waiting area.

Fantastic experience: Dr. Wang and his team are fantastic. My family (myself, husband, and our four kids) have been patients here for over ten years. We moved out of the area a few years ago and still make the trip back for our dental care. I have a special place in my heart for Patti Lane, the amazing hygienist who does all of my cleanings and is so gentle and thorough that I literally can sleep during my appointments. Highly recommend this practice for both their professionalism and phenomenal bedside manner.

When I moved to LA, I took a flight up to the Bay just to see Dr. Wang for an extraction after some dentists down there messed up my root canal. Negative experience: My kid has been to the pediatrics for cleaning and check up 3 times a year since she was two. The office is great and the staff is pretty good and cooperative, especially Dr. Jonathan, he gave us professional advice to take care my kid's teeth. And from the very beginning, the office said our insurance Delta dental PPO is acceptable and we haven't been charged. On October 19, we brought our kid to an urgent visit because her adult tooth comes out and the baby one is till there and very loose. We hope to remove to the baby one to leave space for the adult one. The office quote me at $210 and need me to pay in full in advance and then the office will file the claim for us. However during the visit, no one informed me the dentist on duty is out of network. Since we are fully covered for all the past visits, I defaulted the dentists in this office are in the network, we just need to pay 10% coinsurance finally. Today when I got the statement from the insurance, it just covered around $90. I called the insurance, they said it is because the dentist is out of network!!! Aren't you supposed to tell me before you do it or I pay it? Is this the way you make money? If any one informed me the dentist is out of network, I won't proceed that tooth removal treatment at Columbia.

Negative experience: My husband had a filling at Columbia Dental Care. It was supposed to be minor filling, but Dr. Wang did it very poorly, which resulted in growing the new cavity in the gap between the tooth and the poorly done filling. As a result, he needs to do the crown due to the terrible skill of Dr. Wang. We now need to spend a lot of money and a lot of time to do crown, which would never have been needed if we went to other dentists for the filling. Most importantly, due to Dr. Wang's terrible skill, over 60% of this tooth was lost. We really regret having the treatment at Columbia Dental Care.

Negative experience: I saw Dr. Wang at the end of December 2022 for cavity filling. However, in August 2023, the tooth he did cavity filling for started hurting, and I went to another dentist. After X-rays and the examination, we found out that the filling Dr. Wang did was not done well and there was a gap between filling and the tooth, and the bacteria was growing from the gap. As such, we needed to drill the filling out and re-do the filling, and it turned out there was new cavity grown in the gap. As a result, the new dentist had to drill more than Dr. Wang drilled back in the end of 2022, and 60%-70% of the tooth was drilled. In addition, I had to use crown for the tooth. I contacted Dr. Wang's office about this, and the lady at front desk was very nice and refunded the entire treatment cost to me. So at least their their customer service was nice. However, as a patient, what I care the most is the quality and skill that dentist has, and I regretted that I came to Dr. Wang for my filling treatment. If I had seen other dentist, I would have been able to avoid using crown and would not have lost 60%-70% of this tooth. As a dentist, it is done for Dr. Wang once he refunded back the treatment cost. However, as a patient, I lost 60%-70% of this tooth, which could have been avoided if Dr. Wang did filling well. Staff members and Dr. Wang were friendly, but my experience showed that I am very doubtful about his skills and technicality, which is what we as a patient care the most.

Fantastic experience: This dental office is clean and the staff are friendly. The equipment and technology is new. You can even turn on the massage feature when in the dental chair! I went to see Dr. Crystal Chang for some dental work and had a wonderful experience with her. She is gentle, kind and knowledgeable. Throughout my visit, she explained each step of the process, was very patient in answering my many questions and made sure I felt comfortable. I would highly recommend seeing Dr. Chang for your dental needs.

Fantastic experience: Had a wonderful first time experience here. I recently changed insurances and had to find a new dentistry. This place was recommended to me and I'm so glad I went and was able to snag an appointment. The location is a bit hidden and hard to find (back parking lot up a flight of stairs); looks very small from the outside but definitely clean and much larger once you walk in. The lady who took my x-rays, I believe her name was Natasha, was very nice and welcoming. She makes sure you are comfortable and genuinely chats with you. She then provided my x-rays to Dr. Layne - an old (but wise lol) gentleman. He walked me through my X-rays and described what each issue meant, letting me know my teeth's history and educated me, also providing different options I can take in terms of having a consultation with an orthodontist. I trusted the process and enjoyed learning about my teeth and gum health. My dental hygienist, Eliza, who performed my cleaning was also very kind. She checked up on me throughout the cleaning and even offers vaseline if your lips are dry (haha). Overall the service here was great and I enjoyed my experience. Oh yeah, and It's crazy that they also have massage chairs for your appointment lol. Not many places take the time to educate you during your appointment, a lot seem rushed, but not here. I highly recommend.
